The film "The Alarm" tells the story of twin brothers who grew up homeless with unemployed parents. Struggling to find work themselves due to lack of experience, the twins begin committing crimes like shoplifting. When they smash a security camera, triggering an alarm, it draws the attention of local gang members who enforce retaliation against anyone triggering alarms. The film targets 16-25 year olds who would be interested in gang-related stories. To fund the film, the creator plans to apply for grants from film organizations and seek donations and investors, hoping for distribution from major studios. Well-known actors like Noel Clarke and Emma Stone, and directors Jim Kouf and Paul Tanter are listed to be involved.
2. Storyline
My British film is called ‘The Alarm’ and is about two twins,
youngsters, who grew up together with parents that were
homeless. At the time when this happening it has been stated on
the news that there was no job vacancies available for those that
do not have experience. Even though, they were jobless at the
time. For that reason, the two twins uncontrollably went out of
they’re way and eventually started criminalizing environments such
as shops, mall, museums, electronics, due to not having any
funding where ever they went until, they forcefully smashed a
camera which triggered off an alarm.
People were aware of the sound and since people were aware of
the sound, the street code is once the alarm goes off, while letting
the police patrol in our estate your due to pay the price by any
means necessary, regardless for what ever reason that may be.
3. Target Audience
My target audience is aimed at young teenagers
between the ages of 16 to 25. The reason why I say this
is because the majority of people in between that age
are more likely to take more interest into gang related
film and it could spread faster by word of mouth.
Because its something new, it’s the new topic, it’s like
what’s this?
4. Where would you get your
finance from?
Because it's so hard gathering funding altogether I would recommend getting
film grants from IFT (Independent Film Trust) who is also linked to the BFI
(British Film Institute). So I was thinking that since its linked to each other its
possible that they could double the amount. However, if they like what they’re
seeing, they could take it into consideration and investors takes interest and
would fund enough money in order for it to be shown, published around the
world and heard and could hopefully be successful.
In addition, another plan would be I would try to get donations for the film.
If everything accordingly goes to plan this could be distributed by well known
companies such as Studio Canal UK, Screen Gems.
