Bring it on 1st showcase
1. Bring it on
Focus: My focus for today’s rehearsal was to write about how we rehearsed, refined, and improve choreograph. Also, to rehearse, refine, and
improve choreography practical. My target for the rehearsal is to improve on the stylistic qualities and develop on spacial awareness.
Bring it On: We continue to learn more of the bring it on choreography in the urban/hip-hop style. We learn a section where me and Allana stand
in front of Jack, and we do a hip isolation into hair whip, leading into a body. This then leads into a quick side wards hip isolation, into a step
fouetté left the right leg whilst clicking the finger. All of these movements are basic urban movements. When we do this section, we have to
create a sassy character. To create the sassy character, I thought about how they would stand and acted with others, for me I thought this
character would looked down her nose a little bit, and probably acted kind of bored of everything to show how good she was on her own.
In this image, I have just finished my duet with Allana and we are listening to Jack do his rap. During
this moment, I had to show my sassy character more than in the duet because I wasn’t doing
action to show the sassy behaviour of my character.
Strengths: During this lesson, I realise my strengths we’re learning more choreography and
remembering previous choreography. This will help me in the industry because if we are learning
choreography over several days I will be able to learn the new choreography quick and pick
Weakness: My weakness was working on spacial awareness because I sometimes forgot where I was
meant to be or was slightly out of my position which messed with other people’s position. To improve
this, I will practice my positions and practice with other people in the room.
