The Rolling Stones And The Stones
The Rolling Stones Stones, a simple concretion of earthy or mineral matter, a rock, a building block, it
may be precious, or it may be garbage. The Rolling Stones are very similar to a pack a stones, a pack
of random men to play music. They first started as a small measly band that soon grew into an
international sensation. The Stones created some of the most widely known tunes and they also
created one of the most iconic styles of music, rock and roll. The Rolling Stones were defined by the
very famous founding trio, The Stones themselves, their extraordinary style and their gruesome
political troubles. Even with some hardships and struggles their success was quickly awarded with
countless music rewards.
The Creation of the Rolling Stones The group named The Rolling Stones took a very long time to
form and it all started with the founding trio. The Rolling Stones were a rock band formed by the
famous trio of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Brian Jones. Together they recruited musicians to
their rock and roll group. The Rolling Stones Biography states that, The Rolling Stones origins date
back to the boyhood friendship of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, formed in 1957. In October 1960
Richards and Jagger ran into each other. They both noticed their enthusiasm or the rock and roll and
blues music. After the encounter Richards soon joined Little Boy Blues and the Clues Boys, Jagger s
blues group. Furthermore, while making rounds of London blues clubs, Jagger and

The Stereotypes Of Britney Spears
A sixteen year old girl poses for the camera, wearing a shirt that resembles something more akin to a
bra than to an actual shirt. She is lying prostrate upon the floor with the photographer snapping
pictures above her scantily clad form. The girl s name is Britney Spears. She has just recorded her first
hit single, named quot;Hit Me Baby One More Time quot;.
As Britney s veneer of a bubblegum pop princess fades, she has resorted to shedding more and more
layers of clothing in order to attract a new breed of audience. Singing songs entitled quot;Oops I Did It
Again quot; and quot;I m a Slave for You quot;, her raunchy music videos are now being mimicked by
thirteen year old girls across the world. Britney Spears and her ... Show more content on

Their clothes have been reduced to mere shreds of cloth held together by strings, their lyrics have
transformed into something of a more twisted, sexual nature and their suggestive dance moves have
captivated audiences world wide.
These glamorous media whores are idolized by millions of girls between the ages of ten and fifteen
and their fans tighten their shirts, raise their skirts and imitate the quot;sexy quot; moves they witness
in music videos. Many of these little lolitas have even taken to touching themselves inappropriately
and stripping off their clothes in a seductive manner in front of their bathroom mirrors in order to
make themselves feel more mature, womanly and sexy (Adrno 23).
Many Fortune 500 companies across the nation have invested millions of dollars in advertisements
bearing the visage of new young pop stars to sell their products (McCabe 1). These ads are rife with
sexuality convincing young girls that they must act and dress according to their pop idols in order to
achieve popularity.
We as a society are also sending out mixed messages to our youth. On one hand, we present images of
young, scantily clad girls being the epitome of style and fashion, yet we simultaneously discourage
this behavior in our nation s youth. We lock away pedophiles in institutions, and strictly prohibit

Peplau s Theory Of Interpersonal And Inductive Reasoning
Deductive Reasoning
Peplau utilized both deductive and inductive reasoning in her theory development work (Reed
Shearer, 2011). The deductive reasoning methods used were that Peplau integrated ideas from a
number of theories into her theory of interpersonal relations. Influenced by works of Sigmund Freud,
particularly his interest in unconscious motivation as well as Harry S. Sullivan s theory of
interpersonal relations all contributed to her development of the theory of interpersonal processes in
nursing, For example she refers to Sullivan s concepts of anxiety, self system and modes of
experiencing. (Peterson Bredow, 2017). She also incorporated into her theory some elements from
developmental psychology and learning theory (Armstrong Kelly, 1995) and some ideas of the
humanistic psychologists, Abraham Maslow, Rollo May and Carl Rogers. (Peterson Bredow, 2017).
For example, Peplau s systematic approach to establishment of nurse patient relationship and
therapeutic intervention are ideas that resonated with Martha Rogers theoretical assumptions about
human pattern and organization. (Armstrong Kelly, 1995).
Inductive Reasoning
Peplau defined her inductive approach in both general and specific terms. The inductive approach for
concept naming are described in several steps (a) observing behaviors for which no explanatory
concepts are available, (b) seeking to repeat those observations in others under similar conditions, (c)
noting regularities concerning the

Carotid Stenosis
Carotid stenosis is defined as the atherosclerotic narrowing of the proximal internal carotid artery.
Stenosis grading is divided into 50 70% as moderate and exceeding 70% diameter narrowing as severe
stenosis [35]. Physiologically, arterial stenosis reduces blood flow and generates turbulent flow which
can listen as a bruit as part of the clinical examination. However McColgan et al. found that the
presence of carotid bruit does not indicate the carotid artery stenosis as well as not correlated with the
degree of narrowing, whereas the absence of the bruit can be a specific sign to rule out the carotid
stenosis [36]. The most applicable screening test for carotid stenosis in the general population is
ultrasonography. In fact, it has proven ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A potential cause of stroke has been predominantly recognized the atherosclerotic disease of the
carotid artery. Carotid atherosclerosis, particularly with occlusion of the carotid artery, causes
obstruction of blood flow to the ipsilateral cerebral hemisphere. In addition, fragments of
atherosclerotic plaque in the carotid artery can travel to the distal vasculature in the cerebral
circulation as emboli resulting in an area of brain ischemia [45]. Early detection and effective control
of risk factors of atherosclerosis can greatly reduce the possibility of stroke. For example, high blood
pressure is a major cause of strokes and reducing blood pressure can greatly reduce stroke risk. Thus,
central pressure monitoring at carotid artery is better related to the risk of stroke and can be controlled
by anti hypertensive medications. PWV and flow velocity at the carotid bifurcation are routinely
checked at the neck using Doppler ultrasound for the high risk population. Aortic PWV is considered
as a powerful stroke risk indicator in hypertensive patients, and its integration into clinical follow up
programs in patients with cardiovascular risk is recommended [46]. The Framingham study conducted
a clinical study in middle aged and older people of 2,232 participates discovered that aortic PWV
correlated better with a 48% increase in major CVD risk than did central

Optic Neuritis Case Studies
Optic Neuritis
Introduction
Optic neuritis (ON) is a disease related to the eye that causes visual impairment. ON arises due to the
inflammation and demyelination of the optic nerve, affecting interpretation of visual signals causing
blurred, grey or dim vision. More often than not, ON is monocular in scope however there are cases
where both eyes are affected. ON has been known to be highly associated with Multiple Sclerosis
(MS) however an individual does not have to have MS to be diagnosed with ON.  81
Epidemiology and Pathology
Optic Neuritis has been found to persist more commonly in young healthy adults, with females having
a higher incidence rate than males. ON is the most common optic neuropathy in individuals under the
age of 50 years ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Acute ON usually involves a singular eye being affected whereby 90% of ON cases take place; the
other 10% of cases occurring in both eyes is found to occur more frequently in children under the age
of 15. The Optic Neuritis Treatment Trials (ONTT) identified vision loss and eye pain as the most
common symptoms found in patients with acute unilateral ON. Vision loss was found to occur steadily
over a period of a few hours to a few days, with a peak in between 1 2 weeks, whilst eye pain occurred
in 92% of those affected and would worsen through eye movement. These visual defects however
would usually resolve itself with care, with the ONTT presenting 56% of participants being clear after
one year and 73% cleared after 10 (Cleary et al., 1997). In other cases, a patient may become affected
with papillitis (intraocular ON) causing hyperemia leading to the swelling of the optic disc; a point of
exit for optic ganglion cells. This area is important for the major blood vessels to supply the retina and
thus aid in interpreting visual signals to be passed through the optic nerve into the brain. 

Chapter 5: Financing East Coast Yacht s Expansion Plans with a Bond
1. If the company benefits from the provision of the bond, then the coupon rate will be higher. If the
bondholder s benefit, then the bond will have lower coupon rate.
a. Bond s with collateral will have lower coupon rate as bondholders have claim on collateral no
matter what. It provides an asset which lowers default risk. Downside to company is that this
collateral cannot be sold as an asset and needs to maintain it.
b. The more senior the bond, the lower the coupon rate.
c. A sinking fund reduces coupon rate because it provides a kind of future guarantee to bondholders.

Coupon bond principal payment at maturity = 30,000($1,000) = $30,000,000
The principal payment for the zero coupon bonds at maturity will be:
Zero coupon bond payment at maturity = 139,827($1,000) = $139,827,000
4. Annual coupon bond payments = 30,000($1,000)(.08) = $2,400,000
Since the interest payments are tax deductible, the aftertax cash flow from the interest payments will
be:
Aftertax coupon payments = $2,400,000(1 .35) = $1,560,000
Even though interest payments are not actually made each year, the implied interest on the zero
coupon bonds is tax deductible. The value of the zero coupon bonds next year will be:
Value of zero in one year = $1,000/1.0819 = $231.71
5. P = $40({1 [1/(1 + .03)]26 } / .03) + $1,000[1 / (1 + .03)26] P = $1,178.77
And, if the Treasury rate is 9.10 percent, the make whole call price in 7 years is:
P = $40({1 [1/(1 + .0475)]26 } / .0475) + $1,000[1 / (1 + .0475)26] P = $889.35
So, the growth on the zero coupon bond was:
Zero coupon growth = $231.71 214.55 = $17.26
This increase in value is tax deductible, so it reduces taxes even though there is no cash flow for
interest payments. So, there is a positive cash flow created next year in the amount of:
Zero cash flow = 139,827($17.26)(.35) = $839,989.70
This cash flow will increase each year since the value of the zero coupon bond will increase by a
greater dollar amount each year.

Same-Sex Couples Should Be Allowed To Raise Children
There is always a debate going on within the LGBTQ+ community. One conflict of interests questions
whether or not same sex couples should be allowed to raise children. People are claiming that
development is being affected by the young who are raised by a gay, lesbian, or bisexual couple.
Americans should start worrying about their own children. Those who are brought up with two
mommies or two daddies are not being affected in any way and should be treated no differently than
those with parents of the opposite gender.
Many arguments exist criticizing why same sex couples should not be parents. The main reason for
debate exists within the religious community. Those who are strict followers of the bible believe that
homosexuality is a sin. Therefore, they think this community should not be able to raise a child.
Another argument presented in this article is, children in will grow up to be lesbian or gay, if they are
brought up in a homosexual household. The author also explains that kids raised by two of the same
sex parent will be more likely to be bullied. It is true that children raised by a gay couple are more
likely to be harassed in school (Clarke ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These children do not have permanent homes and approximately 100,000 are eligible to be adopted. It
was not until 2015, when the Obergefell v. Hodges case was officially passed and legalized gay
marriage. This then gave the right for same sex couples to adopt a child together. Homosexual couples
outnumber heterosexual couples seeking to adopt. Which is great for, after the ratification of this law,
more opportunities are arising for children to be given a permanent home. However, discrimination
still exists. In some states, while it is not illegal for a gay couple to adopt, a law still exists, making it
easy for agencies to be biased because of their religious or moral objections (The Effects of Lesbian

A Review Of The Story Of A Odyssey
Estefane Sanchez Homeroom 306 September Ulysses and his men were sailing once again through the
seas without any coordinates as to where they were heading too. Staring over the ships and his men he
saw them rowing without motivation as if they were giving up on returning home to their families or
loved ones. It surprised him because for ten years that was the only thing they wanted to leave Troy
and return to their homes in the Greek Islands but they all looked wretched and starved; lifeless. He
started walking in between his men going through the rows they were sitted in, looking at them gaze

they commanded each other not knowing what to do. Changing courses every so often not knowing
where to head but that all they knew was that they wanted to reach land. He started shouting curses at
them, scratching at the ropes breaking his nails that he started bleeding, he was very angry, red was
starting to invade his vision he couldn t see clear anymore, he started screaming nonsenses and he was
getting light headed until his eyelids closed shut and it was all dark. The men had stopped changing
courses and were letting the waves guide them and at last they saw land. They headed toward the
island it took them a while to get to land but it was all worth it for them. Settling the ships on the edge
of the island they threw themselves of the ships to land on the sand staring up at the blue sky some
looking up at the trees and bushes.Coconuts were dangling from the tall brown and green trees and
some were on the floor, beautiful red roses and white flowers sprouting and blueberries and
raspberries were seen on bushes ready for them to collect. Some of the men were climbing

Trader Joe s chief executives have been careful in their expanding of the brand to more geographic

individuals and settle around them. Second, greater expansion could lead to increased standardization
and bureaucracy across the company. Trader Joe s thrives off the creativity of their employees, even to
the extent that each store is free to organize products however they see fit and each store has unique
signs created by employees. Trader Joe s trusts their employees and gives them much freedom in how
they interact with customers and conduct themselves during work, but this creativity and freedom
could be crippled because of expansion. Also, bureaucracy could increase as the company increases
because it becomes harder from the executives to control the direction of the business with such a

Xeroderma Pigmentosum Genetic Disorder
Name of disorder
To be given the diagnosis of Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) would be a life changing moment for the
individual, along with the family. This genetic disorder, which is also known as Kaposi Disease,
Xeroderma Pigmentosum, Variant Type XP V and XP, is a rare genetic disorder. This disorder causes
extreme sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) light, it was first described in 1874 by Hebra and Kaposi. The
diagnosis comes at a very early age of life with the symptoms including excessive freckling and skin
blistering occurring after exposure to the sun; sometimes so severe that the burns can be mistaken for
child abuse or neglect. To understand the disease and the complications associated are the only
successful way of treating this disease.

damage, thymine dimers. Individuals with XP, that have the variant type of XP, have mutations on this

getting diagnosed with UV induced skin cancers.
Frequency of occurrence
Xeroderma Pigmentosum appears to affects females and males in the equal amounts. The onset of
symptoms usually occurs immediately after birth or up to the next 3 years. XP affects about 1 in
100,000 individuals worldwide and about 1 in 250,000 in the United States. This disease is most
relevant in Japan affecting about 1 in 22,000, North Africa and the Middle East.

Perhaps the most obvious example of change as a positive influence in the film can be observed in
Chihiro s maturation. Prior to entering the spirit realm, Chihiro behaves as a typical, stubborn child
unwilling to accept change; this can be observed in the way she responds to seeing her new school as
she and her parents drive into town: sticking out her tongue as she says, It s gonna stink. I liked my
old school. During the same scene, Chihiro s responses to her parents even slightly suggest that she is
a bit spoiled as she complains how depressing it is that this is the first time she has gotten a bouquet of

unless they are inside a living cell. Viruses do not multiply in food. They do multiply in cells in
various organs or tissues of the body. For example, Hepatitis A virus replicates in cells of the liver. It is
quite difficult to isolate viruses on or in food. Normally, the best treatment for viral infections is
allowing time (bed rest) for each individual s functioning immune system to combat the virus Viruses

Compare And Contrast Obama s Four Freedom Speech
I believe that freedom the idea of freedom from fear has not changed over time. There are many things
in the world that change, such as the situation of a country s economy or a countries moral standpoint.
I will be analyzing President Franklin Roosevelt s Four Freedom Speech and President Obama s
welcome speech delivered whilst he was visiting a British Prime Minister in 2012.
President Roosevelt presented some very essential freedoms in his Four Freedoms Speech for the
American people, and others in the world alike. These freedoms are freedom of speech and expression
everywhere in the world, freedom of every person to worship God in his own way everywhere in the
world, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. In his speech, President Roosevelt also mentions
that is no vision of a distant millennium. It is a definite basis for a kind of world attainable in our own
time and generation... which basically means that all these freedoms are attainable now if we as a
people work toward them. He then makes it clear that a free nation stands for human rights
everywhere, and mentions that America is a free nation. President Roosevelt is firm in his belief that
these four freedom s are essential for a good society. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the same light, President Obama also shares the same want as President Roosevelt for freedom of
fear for all people around the world, rather than just the American people. This is shown by this quote
from President Obama s speech, We believe in the universal rights of all people. He then goes on to
say We believe that our citizens should be able to live free from fear... along with ...or endanger the
globe with the world s most dangerous weapons. I believe this goes very well with President
Roosevelt s fourth point of freedom from fear in which he also mentions he would like all people to be
free from fear, along with a reduction in

Minimum Wage Is The Minimum Amount Of Compensation An...
According to investopedia.com, minimum wage is the minimum amount of compensation an
employee must receive for performing labor. Minimum wages are typically established by contract or
legislation by the government. As such, it is illegal to pay an employee. The minimum wage is
something that many people start off when commencing their own dependent life. Many lower classes
depend on the minimum wage so that they can feed their families and try to live a prosperous life. The
minimum wage in the United States can be underestimated, and many do not view it as an important
role in the economy. The minimum wage in the U.S should be raised due to the positive effects it may
have on the labor workers, the increase in productivity, and the benefits it may bring to minimum
wage workers. Minimum wages are a very important aspect when it comes to evaluating the economic
health of a country. The minimum wage is the one detail in a country s economy in which many low
class families take into consideration. There are many families that struggle with having to buy
groceries and being able to purchase items that the children require for schooling. As mentioned
earlier on, the minimum wage is a substance in which many people of America live off of and hope for
an increase in pay. Humans are constructed from proteins, carbon, and other scientific elements, but
not require money as to make one human. The need for money in one s life has increased over the
course on this nation s existence.

Celebrities And Ordinary People
Celebrities and ordinary people are identified in different categories. Celebrities are the elite or ones
who have a prodigious influence on the public. Famous people range from artist all the way down to
politicians. Ordinary people are common citizens of the world. Conventionally, this refers to one who
conducts a rudimentary life with no authentic exposure to spotlight attention. This may additionally
mean ordinary people have not accomplished as much as a celebrity. Although celebrities and ordinary
people hold different designations and lives, they are not much different from one another. Sure
enough, celebrities and regular people are disunited by an abundance of things. Of the many things
many things, the more conspicuous are lifestyle, privacy, and wealth, nevertheless, it is those very
qualities that make famous people and mundane people homogeneous.
Celebrities and ordinary people both have kindred lifestyles. Celebrities carry out relationships just
like ordinary people and enjoy quality time with their friends and family. Every human longs for the
fundamentals of love and family and longs for a simple lifestyle when it comes down to desiring
healthy relationships. Most celebrities appreciate doing simple things such as staying home, enjoying
friends and family, and watching television. Similarly, ordinary people and celebrities both face life
trials and tribulations and experience an ample amount of stress. Life mistakes and hardships are

Statement For The Physics Student
Statement by MIPT Alumnus (01/2000)
The Physics Student, admitted to Rutgers, Boston University, PennState
Being born in a family of physicists I was fond of science from my childhood. Even when I was a
little girl, my favorite toys have all been mechanical. Their inside was always a tempting mystery for
me. Later on, the questions I asked myself have progressed to more sophisticated ones, usually dealing
with nature phenomena around me like why the sky is blue, how clouds or rainbow form, what the
lightning is and so on. Fortunately, my parents were able to help me with providing the answers to
some of those questions, or in some cases providing me with references on how to manage myself.

completing my PhD program I would like to work as a researcher and as a teacher in this field. I also
believe that my serious intention for study and research, my past laboratory experience and academic
background in various areas of Physics and Mathematics will be beneficial for my graduate studies. I
have chosen Massachusetts Institute of Technology for continuing my education because as I know it
provides excellent opportunities for studying physics and mathematics as well as for the research in

Life Of Pi Reality Vs Reality Essay
The novel Life of Pi is all about discerning between fact and belief. But which is reality? Yann Martel,
the author of the text, declares that reality is an interpretation, a choice of readings, a choice of stories.
The definition of reality, therefore, is not events which actually occur, but what is real to an individual.
Every person has a different reality, shaped by their experiences, beliefs, interpretations, readings and
stories. In other words, you choose your reality.
In Life of Pi, Pi is always searching for the better story . While Pi is describing agnostics, he
proclaims that they lack imagination and miss the better story (Martel 64) in life. He later inquires of
the men interviewing him, Which is the better story, the story with animals or the story without
animals? (Martel 317) after recounting two versions of his 227 days at sea. The better story is the story
which opens up the mind, the story which provides you with a new way of observing the world. Being
able to see the better story is an act of interpretation and creation. It is how we view the world and
generate meaning from it. In this case, the better story becomes your reality because it is what is real
to you. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An article from the Hermes Reality Creator Series by Tom DeLiso states that you create your world...

reality... You create it with your thoughts, feelings and beliefs (Brown 2010). Both of these quotes
explain that we have control over and choose our reality, confirming Martel s idea that reality is our
own interpretation and choices of readings and stories. If we choose our reality, it is made up of stories
that have influenced us, as well as our own interpretations and

Smith And Carlos Death Threats
Based off information from a 1968 Olympics Black Power Salute, we learn that Smith and Carlos
were criticized and their families started receiving death threats. Smith and Carlos ended their
Olympic careers but they both played in the NFL for a short period of time. Smith became a coach and
is now a public speaker. Carlos stopped sports due to a bad knee injury which prevented him from
continuing. He hit hard times when his ex wife committed suicide and he went into a state of
depression. He became a school counselor in 2012. Norman raced a few more times but then called it

This protest also reminds us that if only the groups that want change make a stand, it will take a lot

human rights, he was the symbol for all others that need to help minority groups get justice. He was a

The Moral Responsibility of Leaders
Reflection
1. This chapter suggests that leadership has a moral dimension and that leaders have a responsibility to
use their authority for the common good. Do you agree? Discuss I agree with what the chapter
suggests. In my opinion, leadership does have a moral dimension and as a leader, comes a
responsibility that he or she uses their authority to advance the common good. I believe, that as a
leader, there is an obligation to uphold our moral values and not use their authority for aggression,
power, or getting ahead. Leaders should always use their resources to advance and promote those that
need assistance or a greater cause. For example, a leader promoting needs to reduce poverty. In
addition, leaders not only need to be effective but also must accept the moral dimension of leadership
and as a leader; he or she becomes a role model for the community, employees, and all of the
stakeholders. Consequently, leader s actions influence those around them and therefore as a leader, we
should use our available resources to help improve the lives of others.
2. When you consider the character of a leader and what a leader does (the leader s actions), which of
these two factors is more important with regard to ethical leadership? Can a person with bad character
be an ethical leader? Discuss your answers. Although it is often quoted that actions speak louder than
words, I believe that the character of a leader may be slightly more important than the actions of a
leader.

Valjean s Internal Conflict In Les Mise Segarables
Valjean s Internal Conflict
In Les Misérables a storyline of tragedy introduces a character named Valjean who has had a rough
life. From being into prison to living in the streets, he meets a bishop who changed his life. Valjean s
future seems to go smoothly until another character comes into play his parole officer Javert. Javert is
now put into a situation that could either ruin the good in him or the people around him. When
adapting a novel into other mediums, such as a movie or a musical, there are details about internal
conflict that are lost, and potentially added. This is the case when adapting Les Misérables by Victor
Hugo, the song Who Am I? from the musical, and the 1998 film adaptation.
In the novel of Les Misérables Valjean, internal conflict can be seen in a more descriptive form rather
than a visual form compared to the film. Valjean s internal conflict starts off when inspector Javert
brings Monsieur Madeleine who is Valjean news about that the convict Valjean who has been found
and will be put on trial and sent to prison. Valjean fights within himself trying to make the right
decision of either to speak up and take the blame for being the real Valjean or let this innocent man go
to prison for him and live his life with this burden. Valjean can be seen going back and forth in the
novel about if he should turn himself in or stay a free man. He gives reasons why he should not go and
speak up for the innocent man. One of those reasons being The

The Relevance and Authority of Scripture Essay
The relevance and authority of scripture from three different viewpoints first evangelical with its
strong emphasis on the Word of God it left little room to advance with the ever changing culture.
Second the Liberal movement was all about cultural relevance and used only as a record of history.
Each holds a valid argument Neo Orthodox however is a good blend of both cultural relevance and
scriptural foundation.
The Issues
Evangelical
Evangelicalism carried a strong emphasis on the Word of God. Which is in its own right a positive to
the movement. Bible is used as the center of the Christian faith, however where they went wrong was
saying that God is not moving anymore and what we have in this book is all that there is. There is no

They degraded the authority and importance of the Holy Scriptures keeping Christianity relevant to a
changing society, even at the expense of its traditional practices this was the premise of the liberal
movement. Friedrich Schleiermacher believed that a person s private revelations of God took
precedence over their revelations from Scripture.
Neo Orthodox
Neo Orthodox was established immediately after World War 1 by Karl Barth and Emil Brunner, it
directly opposed the liberal movement. It said that experience is not everything, you must have the
foundation of the Bible. The main focus was on the gospel message which the Bible relayed, not on
the book itself (Lane 271) Neo Orthodox stands on the fact that sin is imamate and only God can free
one from sin. Karl Barth, the forerunner of Neo Orthodox thought, viewed the Bible not as a history
book or instructional for doctrine (2 Tim 2:15), but as a constantly changing event that spoke to the
heart of humanity (Lane 274)
The Implications
Liberalism was under the influence of cultural relevance and made every attempt to show that that
experience and not necessarily the factual part of religion is what made it real. Schleiermacher
separated the thinking of revelatory personal experience from that of rational due to the supposed lack
of rational thinking. By doing this he also protected the

All schools have an obligation to find and evaluate all children who may have a disability. No single
test can be used to make an eligibility determination decision and all decisions are team decisions. A
child s eligibility category should never determine where that child is placed. If a student meets
qualification requirements, the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team determines the appropriate
educational services needed for each individual student based on evaluation results, the goals for the

Chinese Influence On Vietnamese Culture, Language And...
History
Vietnam is one of the countries in Southeast Asia with a population of over 95 million people. It has a
long history of being ruled by China for over a thousand years, resulting in a strong Chinese influence
on Vietnamese culture, language and writing system. Even after Vietnam has gained their
independence in the tenth century, Chinese was still the language was being spoken and used in many
written documents. However during the 16th and 17th centuries when Catholic missionaries arrived in
Vietnam, they wanted to establish a writing system that could be easily taught to people in order to
maintain their Catholic influence after they left. In 1651, a writing system based on the roman
alphabet called Quốc ngữ was created gaining popularity amongst missionaries and followers. It took
several years for the language to become more prominent in Vietnam eventually being deemed the
official language used for public documents in 1910. Though the transition from Chinese to Quốc ngữ
was very slow and difficult, eventually it became the writing system that everyone used over time.
Introduction Vietnamese falls under the Mon Khmer group of the Austro Asiatic family of languages,
which mean that most of the vocabulary within the language contain different buildups of lower
intonations leading to a strong stressed syllable. There are three major dialects of Vietnamese: Hanoi
primarily spoken in Northern Vietnam, Hue used mostly in Central Vietnam and Saigon which

Conclusion
In conclusion, our current resource allocation does not meet the deadlines of June 30, 2012 and we
have offered a few of our own solutions to alleviating these drawbacks. We have established that the
facility specialist rang up approximately 662hrs in our initial number crunching diagnosis, and were
able to balance that out with a secondary facility specialist. As we have pointed out before, we will
increase costs by doing this, but the costs outweigh the potential for not meeting our primary
deadlines. Attached is a list of the tasks that would be associated with the Facility Specialist which
would have him completely over allocated, from helping to select an architect, to installing equipment,
we do need the expertise but as a manager we have to mitigate the risk involved with over extending
someone s human capabilities. As we continue to plan this endeavor, we will uncover many things that
may need to change and hopefully with this pre planning we were able to reduce the amount of
changes we will make later. Thank you.

Analysis Of The Minister s Black Veil
In this well known American Romanticism story, The Minister s Black Veil by Nathaniel Hawthorne,
we encounter a bizarre character who is our protagonist What American Romanticism was is that it
was a movement in the arts and literature that originated in the late 18th century, emphasizing
inspiration, subjectivity, and the primacy of the individual. Mr. Hooper was the protagonist and
minister who have decided to pay penance by wearing a long black veil over his head for the rest of
his days. He was judged and criticised by his own parishioners for his black veil as rumors about sin
and adultery were going around the town. This was a serious issue that even results in his ex fiancee

Hooper has suffered a great deal for the remainder of his life. Although the minister never explained
why he wore it, there was much speculation as to why he did. Adultery, disloyalty, addiction, and
alcoholism were just some speculations as to the secret sin he was paying penance for. The black veil
has power over Mr. Hooper because he chose to conceal his sin rather than show his fiancee before he
lost her. This also tells us that Mr. Hooper is a man of his word because even on his deathbed, the
black veil remained on his face. The black veil was a penance to Mr. Hooper because he wore it to
show his secret sin and that he acknowledged it rather than discarding it like most of the parishioners
did. This united him with the lower class and criminals because they felt like minister harper was on
their side because it sowed his imperfections. Yet at the same time, the close bond he had with his
parishes was basically lost. The black veil also gave this eerie aura to Mr. Hooper and it made his
sermons more powerful to the parishioners who took all his sermons to heart. To the parishioners, the
black veil was seen as a dark item that made them change their whole perspective on someone they

caused many residents to be out of water for weeks. This incident caused such a big catastrophe that

resource the residents had for water at that time. The easiest way coal mining chemicals get into our

There have been many lawsuits in West Virginia over the type of incidents that happened in January in

Career Summary Of A Dietician Essay
RESEARCH amp; FACTS
The career I researched was that of a dietician. Someone who wishes to become a dietician must first
obtain a bachelor s degree, which would be considered a minimal requirement. Most dieticians will
tell you that it would be within the best interests of a student wishing to become a dietician to get a
master s degree. Dieticians must have a love for science (chemistry in particular) and algebra as these
skills are practiced routinely in the profession. It would also be a good idea for someone wishing to
become a dietician to take some kind of accounting or book keeping class, as dieticians must work on
and file multiple records for each of their patients.
To become a dietician you must ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many dieticians prefer working for a hospital because there is already a structured environment set for
them there. Also, in a hospital a dietician never has to worry about running out of patients or getting
sued. A dietician practicing privately is at risk for litigation. Every year an evaluation is given by the
department manager or chairman to determine whether or not a dietician should be eligible for a raise
or promotion. In hospital environments it is frequent for dieticians as well as people of all professions
to get a small raise or bonus every few years.
As long as humans are eating food there will be a need for dieticians. Dieticians are in demand almost
everywhere in the nation. Wherever there is a need to help the obese, injured, and malnourished, there
will be a need for dieticians. Every hospital has a team of dietitians ranging in size depending on the
size and budget of the hospital as well as the workload they must share.
Jobs related to being a dietician would include any kind of therapy. In these fields, professionals must
create a path towards better health for their patients. A dietician might be helping someone lose weight
just like a physical therapist would help someone walk, or like a psychologist might help someone
work towards obtaining a stable mind.

Myers-Briggs Assessment
After taking a Myers Briggs assessment my mind has been changed. The very first time I took any
kind of personal assessment was my second year of college. I had taken my general education classes
and it was time to pick a major. The thing is, what 19 year old know what they want to do for the rest
of their lives? None I tell you! So I went to an advisor and was given the test. Many seemingly
random questions the results were in; you can be a doctor or lawyer or astronaut they said! The least
helpful 45 minutes of my life I gave to that advisor. Taking the Myers Briggs seemed no different. A
long test with seemingly unsystematic questions about nothing specific. This time, for the first time, I
got it. After I read the results I understood. This test didn t try to tell me what career I should select, or
what degree to pick. It simply gave me results about me. My result gave me a type ISTP, where each
letter stands for personality traits. Introversion, Sensing, Thinking, and Perception. To me that didn t
mean much, until I started reading up on them. With every sentence I found myself agreeing more and
more. Factual, realistic, and impersonal. Cool headed, perceptive, and ... Show more content on

(S)ensing: preferred to intuition; ISTPs tend to be more concrete than abstract. They focus their
attention on the details rather than the big picture, and on immediate realities rather than future
possibilities. There have been many times in my life where I couldn t understand why people were
worried about the future, or things they had no control over. If you can t know what tomorrow holds
then why worry about it? Live in the now, how hard can it be? I often thought to myself. Now I know,
it can be hard. If that s not part of your personality, part of how God made you to think, that can be
very hard. Just as hard as it is for me to be around large groups of people for extended periods of

Difference Between Working Class And Poor Mothers
For working class and poor mothers, intensive mothering and consumerism are still equally linked to
their view of themselves as good mothers. The only difference between working class and poor
mothers versus middle and upper class women is that the working class/poor have to work harder to
attain the good mother status. According to Takseva (2014), Children can be used as an object of
display conferring the desired social status (p.224) and, Membership in a group is often defined
through the purchasing of goods and services (p.225). Therefore, mothers who do not present their
children in the best clothes or toys are seen as bad mothers, so mothers of the lower classes have to
work harder to ascribe their children the same status as the children in upper classes. Many working
class mothers experience guilt that due to the lack of financial resources they are not being good
mothers because they cannot provide their children with the same life chances that they would if they
had more money (Takseva, 2014, p.227). These mothers find alternative strategies to define
themselves as good mothers such as knowing where and when to shop for bargains, and actively
engaging their children into understanding what products can/cannot be purchased so that they have
realistic expectations (Takseva, 2014, p.227). However, on the other extreme intensive mothering is so
prevalent in today s society that, Parents will go against their better judgment about budgets, in the
case of

  • 2. The Rolling Stones And The Stones The Rolling Stones Stones, a simple concretion of earthy or mineral matter, a rock, a building block, it may be precious, or it may be garbage. The Rolling Stones are very similar to a pack a stones, a pack of random men to play music. They first started as a small measly band that soon grew into an international sensation. The Stones created some of the most widely known tunes and they also created one of the most iconic styles of music, rock and roll. The Rolling Stones were defined by the very famous founding trio, The Stones themselves, their extraordinary style and their gruesome political troubles. Even with some hardships and struggles their success was quickly awarded with countless music rewards. The Creation of the Rolling Stones The group named The Rolling Stones took a very long time to form and it all started with the founding trio. The Rolling Stones were a rock band formed by the famous trio of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Brian Jones. Together they recruited musicians to their rock and roll group. The Rolling Stones Biography states that, The Rolling Stones origins date back to the boyhood friendship of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, formed in 1957. In October 1960 Richards and Jagger ran into each other. They both noticed their enthusiasm or the rock and roll and blues music. After the encounter Richards soon joined Little Boy Blues and the Clues Boys, Jagger s blues group. Furthermore, while making rounds of London blues clubs, Jagger and ... She has just recorded her first hit single, named quot;Hit Me Baby One More Time quot;. These glamorous media whores are idolized by millions of girls between the ages of ten and fifteen and their fans tighten their shirts, raise their skirts and imitate the quot;sexy quot; moves they witness in music videos. Many of these little lolitas have even taken to touching themselves inappropriately and stripping off their clothes in a seductive manner in front of their bathroom mirrors in order to make themselves feel more mature, womanly and sexy (Adrno 23). Many Fortune 500 companies across the nation have invested millions of dollars in advertisements bearing the visage of new young pop stars to sell their products (McCabe 1). These ads are rife with sexuality convincing young girls that they must act and dress according to their pop idols in order to achieve popularity. We as a society are also sending out mixed messages to our youth. • 4. Peplau s Theory Of Interpersonal And Inductive Reasoning Deductive Reasoning Peplau utilized both deductive and inductive reasoning in her theory development work (Reed Shearer, 2011). The deductive reasoning methods used were that Peplau integrated ideas from a number of theories into her theory of interpersonal relations. Influenced by works of Sigmund Freud, particularly his interest in unconscious motivation as well as Harry S. Sullivan s theory of interpersonal relations all contributed to her development of the theory of interpersonal processes in nursing, For example she refers to Sullivan s concepts of anxiety, self system and modes of experiencing. (Peterson Bredow, 2017). She also incorporated into her theory some elements from developmental psychology and learning theory (Armstrong Kelly, 1995) and some ideas of the humanistic psychologists, Abraham Maslow, Rollo May and Carl Rogers. (Peterson Bredow, 2017). For example, Peplau s systematic approach to establishment of nurse patient relationship and therapeutic intervention are ideas that resonated with Martha Rogers theoretical assumptions about human pattern and organization. (Armstrong Kelly, 1995). Inductive Reasoning Peplau defined her inductive approach in both general and specific terms. The inductive approach for concept naming are described in several steps (a) observing behaviors for which no explanatory concepts are available, (b) seeking to repeat those observations in others under similar conditions, (c) noting regularities concerning the ... Stenosis grading is divided into 50 70% as moderate and exceeding 70% diameter narrowing as severe stenosis [35]. Physiologically, arterial stenosis reduces blood flow and generates turbulent flow which can listen as a bruit as part of the clinical examination. However McColgan et al. found that the presence of carotid bruit does not indicate the carotid artery stenosis as well as not correlated with the degree of narrowing, whereas the absence of the bruit can be a specific sign to rule out the carotid stenosis [36]. The most applicable screening test for carotid stenosis in the general population is ultrasonography. In fact, it has proven ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A potential cause of stroke has been predominantly recognized the atherosclerotic disease of the carotid artery. Carotid atherosclerosis, particularly with occlusion of the carotid artery, causes obstruction of blood flow to the ipsilateral cerebral hemisphere. In addition, fragments of atherosclerotic plaque in the carotid artery can travel to the distal vasculature in the cerebral circulation as emboli resulting in an area of brain ischemia [45]. Early detection and effective control of risk factors of atherosclerosis can greatly reduce the possibility of stroke. For example, high blood pressure is a major cause of strokes and reducing blood pressure can greatly reduce stroke risk. Thus, central pressure monitoring at carotid artery is better related to the risk of stroke and can be controlled by anti hypertensive medications. PWV and flow velocity at the carotid bifurcation are routinely checked at the neck using Doppler ultrasound for the high risk population. Aortic PWV is considered as a powerful stroke risk indicator in hypertensive patients, and its integration into clinical follow up programs in patients with cardiovascular risk is recommended [46]. The Framingham study conducted a clinical study in middle aged and older people of 2,232 participates discovered that aortic PWV correlated better with a 48% increase in major CVD risk than did central ... Vision loss was found to occur steadily over a period of a few hours to a few days, with a peak in between 1 2 weeks, whilst eye pain occurred in 92% of those affected and would worsen through eye movement. These visual defects however would usually resolve itself with care, with the ONTT presenting 56% of participants being clear after one year and 73% cleared after 10 (Cleary et al., 1997). • 9. Same-Sex Couples Should Be Allowed To Raise Children There is always a debate going on within the LGBTQ+ community. One conflict of interests questions whether or not same sex couples should be allowed to raise children. People are claiming that development is being affected by the young who are raised by a gay, lesbian, or bisexual couple. Americans should start worrying about their own children. Those who are brought up with two mommies or two daddies are not being affected in any way and should be treated no differently than those with parents of the opposite gender. Many arguments exist criticizing why same sex couples should not be parents. The main reason for debate exists within the religious community. Those who are strict followers of the bible believe that homosexuality is a sin. Therefore, they think this community should not be able to raise a child. Another argument presented in this article is, children in will grow up to be lesbian or gay, if they are brought up in a homosexual household. Yann Martel, the author of the text, declares that reality is an interpretation, a choice of readings, a choice of stories. The definition of reality, therefore, is not events which actually occur, but what is real to an individual. Every person has a different reality, shaped by their experiences, beliefs, interpretations, readings and stories. In other words, you choose your reality. In Life of Pi, Pi is always searching for the better story . While Pi is describing agnostics, he proclaims that they lack imagination and miss the better story (Martel 64) in life. In my opinion, leadership does have a moral dimension and as a leader, comes a responsibility that he or she uses their authority to advance the common good. I believe, that as a leader, there is an obligation to uphold our moral values and not use their authority for aggression, power, or getting ahead. It said that experience is not everything, you must have the foundation of the Bible. The main focus was on the gospel message which the Bible relayed, not on the book itself (Lane 271) Neo Orthodox stands on the fact that sin is imamate and only God can free one from sin. Karl Barth, the forerunner of Neo Orthodox thought, viewed the Bible not as a history book or instructional for doctrine (2 Tim 2:15), but as a constantly changing event that spoke to the heart of humanity (Lane 274) The Implications Liberalism was under the influence of cultural relevance and made every attempt to show that that experience and not necessarily the factual part of religion is what made it real. Schleiermacher separated the thinking of revelatory personal experience from that of rational due to the supposed lack of rational thinking. By doing this he also protected the ... • 32. Chinese Influence On Vietnamese Culture, Language And... History Vietnam is one of the countries in Southeast Asia with a population of over 95 million people. It has a long history of being ruled by China for over a thousand years, resulting in a strong Chinese influence on Vietnamese culture, language and writing system. Even after Vietnam has gained their independence in the tenth century, Chinese was still the language was being spoken and used in many written documents. However during the 16th and 17th centuries when Catholic missionaries arrived in Vietnam, they wanted to establish a writing system that could be easily taught to people in order to maintain their Catholic influence after they left. In 1651, a writing system based on the roman alphabet called Quốc ngữ was created gaining popularity amongst missionaries and followers. It took several years for the language to become more prominent in Vietnam eventually being deemed the official language used for public documents in 1910. Though the transition from Chinese to Quốc ngữ was very slow and difficult, eventually it became the writing system that everyone used over time. Conclusion In conclusion, our current resource allocation does not meet the deadlines of June 30, 2012 and we have offered a few of our own solutions to alleviating these drawbacks. We have established that the facility specialist rang up approximately 662hrs in our initial number crunching diagnosis, and were able to balance that out with a secondary facility specialist. As we have pointed out before, we will increase costs by doing this, but the costs outweigh the potential for not meeting our primary deadlines. Attached is a list of the tasks that would be associated with the Facility Specialist which would have him completely over allocated, from helping to select an architect, to installing equipment, we do need the expertise but as a manager we have to mitigate the risk involved with over extending someone s human capabilities. As we continue to plan this endeavor, we will uncover many things that may need to change and hopefully with this pre planning we were able to reduce the amount of changes we will make later. Thank you.

Mr. Hooper was the protagonist and minister who have decided to pay penance by wearing a long black veil over his head for the rest of his days. Hooper has suffered a great deal for the remainder of his life. Although the minister never explained why he wore it, there was much speculation as to why he did. Adultery, disloyalty, addiction, and alcoholism were just some speculations as to the secret sin he was paying penance for. The black veil has power over Mr. Hooper because he chose to conceal his sin rather than show his fiancee before he lost her. This also tells us that Mr. Hooper is a man of his word because even on his deathbed, the black veil remained on his face. The black veil was a penance to Mr. Hooper because he wore it to show his secret sin and that he acknowledged it rather than discarding it like most of the parishioners did. This united him with the lower class and criminals because they felt like minister harper was on their side because it sowed his imperfections. Yet at the same time, the close bond he had with his parishes was basically lost. The black veil also gave this eerie aura to Mr. Hooper and it made his sermons more powerful to the parishioners who took all his sermons to heart. To the parishioners, the black veil was seen as a dark item that made them change their whole perspective on someone they once loved and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The easiest way coal mining chemicals get into our water ways is when the soak into the ground and the rain washes it down hill into our water ways. • 43. Myers-Briggs Assessment After taking a Myers Briggs assessment my mind has been changed. The very first time I took any kind of personal assessment was my second year of college. I had taken my general education classes and it was time to pick a major. The thing is, what 19 year old know what they want to do for the rest of their lives? None I tell you! So I went to an advisor and was given the test. Many seemingly random questions the results were in; you can be a doctor or lawyer or astronaut they said! • 44. Difference Between Working Class And Poor Mothers For working class and poor mothers, intensive mothering and consumerism are still equally linked to their view of themselves as good mothers. The only difference between working class and poor mothers versus middle and upper class women is that the working class/poor have to work harder to attain the good mother status. According to Takseva (2014), Children can be used as an object of display conferring the desired social status (p.224) and, Membership in a group is often defined through the purchasing of goods and services (p.225). Therefore, mothers who do not present their children in the best clothes or toys are seen as bad mothers, so mothers of the lower classes have to work harder to ascribe their children the same status as the children in upper classes. Many working class mothers experience guilt that due to the lack of financial resources they are not being good mothers because they cannot provide their children with the same life chances that they would if they had more money (Takseva, 2014, p.227). These mothers find alternative strategies to define themselves as good mothers such as knowing where and when to shop for bargains, and actively engaging their children into understanding what products can/cannot be purchased so that they have realistic expectations (Takseva, 2014, p.227). However, on the other extreme intensive mothering is so prevalent in today s society that, Parents will go against their better judgment about budgets, in the case of ...
