Corruption in Kenya
Corruption in Kenya
Introduction
Corruption is a global phenomenon and is not bound to be found only in the developing countries but
also in the developed countries of the world. Corruption crosses boundaries or age and is mentioned in
the religious books of old such as the Bible (Deuteronomy Chapter 16, verses 19), and in Chinese
dynasty of Qin Dynasty (221 207).[1] Examples of corruption in developed countries include in
Russia where the government of Putin went through all methods known to them to corruptly take
away the petroleum mining from the owner,[2]who also is accused of having acquired the wealth
corruptly under the leadership of Boris Yeltin s rule which cost Russia its valued national resources
and gave it to the oligarchy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Kenyan scope, corruption is defined to include benefit which means any gift, loan, fee, reward,
appointment, service, favour, forbearance, promise or other consideration or advantage; corruption
referring to an offence under any of the provisions of sections 39 to 44, 46 and 47; bribery; fraud;
embezzlement or misappropriation of public funds; abuse of office; breach of trust; or an offence
involving dishonesty in connection with any tax, rate or impost levied under any Act or under any
written law relating to the elections of persons to public office.[13]Together with these are the
Economic crimes referring to offences under section 45; or offences involving dishonesty under any
written law providing for the maintenance or protection of the public revenue.[14]
This wide definition of corruption does not cover any corrupt activities committed in a private entity
or fund. This does not however imply that corruption only occurs in the public sector. Instead the
network of corruption extends into executive, judiciary, legislative, civil service, private sector down
to the village tycoon and villager who gives gifts to

Nell Gwyn Research Paper
Research Paper In 1660 there was a major restoration in the theatre community. One of the most
impactful results of the restoration was the allowance of women on stage. Before the restoration
women s roles were played by young boys ( Women In Restoration Theatre on WordPress.com. ). As
one can imagine the appearance of women on stage did not settle easily with the common population.
The first women to hit the European stage, Nell Gwyn, did not make it easy for the people to accept
the new change either. Here are some reasons why. Nell Gwyn was born in February 2, 1650. Her
father died in a debtor s prison when she was an infant causing her to be raise with her mother in the
bawdyhouse of Covent Garden. Nell s sister, Rose, influenced her to become a Orange Girl at Drury
Lane Theatre ( Nell Gwyn. ). It did not take long for her talents to be noticed. The same can also be
said about the scandal around her to come. Nell stood out in many ways, but she caught the eyes of
many suitors due to her fiery red hair and gorgeous hazel eyes. She did not have the typical look of the
other women with dark hair and eyes. Nell was not only beautiful; her fun and witty personality made
her even more desirable. Charles Hart, leading actor of the theatre, saw Nell s beauty and began his
love affair with her (Abernethy, Susan). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

her clever tactics Nell got her illegitimate child to become the Duke of St. Albans. She essentially
horrified Charles the Second by calling their son a little bastard , and Charles not liking this

The Importance Of Bilingual Education In The United States
A common joke says What do you call someone who speaks two languages? in which the person
being asked the question would usually respond with bilingual. It goes on to ask about those who
speak three or four languages, but then there is a kicker. What does one call someone who only speaks
one language? to which the punch line is an American. According to the 2006 General Social Survey,
only 25 percent of American adults are fluent in a foreign language, while only 7 percent cite the
source of this education to formal schooling (Devlin 1). Large amounts of evidence point to the
benefits of being multilingual. Although the United States has a few laws that help immigrants
assimilate through dual language programs, there is little to be ... Show more content on

It is important in the United States to have a competitive workforce, and a great way to do that is to
have a society of learners that can communicate with people of other cultures and ethnic backgrounds.
Although there are efforts for teaching school children other languages, most programs are primitive
at best, left to be forgotten before the skills reach the point of relevancy. Dual language programs
should be established in the US wherever feasible to give parents, at the very least, the choice to
expand the minds of their children. Recent years have seen the inclusion of voluntary language
immersion programs in places such as Athens, Georgia, in which students are taught from
Kindergarten in two languages. These are steps in the right

Emotional Barriers In The Truman Show
The Truman Show Analytical Essay As Truman grew up, we were forced to manufacture ways to keep
him on the island. Discuss the physical, social and emotional barriers that keep Truman on the show.
The Truman Show is a 1998 film directed by Peter Weir that stars Jim Carrey as Truman Burbank,
who is unknowingly broadcasted on a live, 24/7 television show. Having been chosen out of six
unwanted pregnancies, Truman was adopted and raised in Seahaven, an artificial island enclosed in a
large dome, but does not know this. To keep his show successful, the director and creator of Seahaven,
Christof, manufactures various physical, emotional and social barriers that confine Truman. The
barriers are representations of the manipulation the media in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Truman s nature is kind and innocent, but Christof uses this to his gain, implementing a complicated
web of emotional deception through Truman s family and friends, whom he is close to. ...But I ve
never blamed you, Truman. And I don t blame you now. Truman s mother, Angela, is referring to Kirk
s death. In an act of passive aggression, she uses Truman s hidden regret to Christof s advantage.
Consequently, Truman develops thalassophobia (a phobia of the sea) not necessarily because he is
afraid for his own life, but because the sea took his father away from him. This is not the only instance
where Truman s close relationship with his mother confines him. Shortly after Sylvia, Truman s
former love interest, was released from the show, His mother got sick, really sick. He couldn t leave
her. He s kind. This calls attention to how in many television shows, emotional manipulation is used
by the media to obtain reactions, which allows the show s storyline seem more interesting, but
negatively affects the subject. For example, in 2017, America s Got Talent host Tyra Banks was sued
by a participant for physical manipulation and verbal abuse directed towards her daughter after she
refused to act annoyed at her parents

Theology of Grace
Theology of Grace There are many different ways to interpret the theology of grace. In this paper, I
will be discussing four major theologians who have the most popular insights on grace. These
theologians include Augustine, Aquinas, Luther, and Rahner who all have their own unique
perspective on grace. All of their theories seem to intertwine with one another but each individual one
has a different twist that makes them slightly different. The first theologian I m going to discuss is
Augustine. Augustine was known as the Father of Grace. He believed that all human nature is in
disorder due to universal sin of Adam and Eve. According to Augustine, sin is passed on by sexual
acts, even if a married couple engaged in sexual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He thought that grace is forgiveness of god in which salvation comes through God. Trust of God was
expressed in God s merciful love. Luther believed that a merciful god would deliver anyone from the
evil they did. Only by the grace of God can forgiveness of sin be achieved. Even after you are graced,
you are still partly a sinner. He believed that you could not merit grace and could not learn grace
through works, it is all given. Grace is totally undeserved and only through God s choice can you be
graced. Lastly is Rahner, who was a Neo Thomist and a student of Aquinas. Rahner believed in the
supernatural existential and obediential potency meaning that as we re born we have the ability and
capacity to receive the love of God. He said that grace was God s self communication in love. Also,
grace is not an extra addition to human nature. Karl Rahner developed a theology that views grace as
the offer of God s love that is intrinsic to existent human nature (pg. 1). He believed that you can
either accept or reject the honor of grace. According to Rahner, human beings freely choose to ratify
or to reject that orientation which is itself the free gift of a loving God, but the orientation remains
structured into their being (pg. 2). You re only free when you love. If you decide to love then you are
authentic but if you decide not to love then you are disgraced. Rahner believed that like God, we can

Goodness To Fit Model Research Paper
The goodness to fit model is used to describe how temperament and environment together can produce
favorable outcomes. When using the goodness to fit model it creates child rearing environments to fit
and accommodate the child s temperament. In certain occasions a parent s temperament and their child
s temperament will differ. In situations like this parents can aggravate the environment the child is in
and make the communication and relationship between the two difficult. Sometimes a clash in
temperaments can be the reason why a parent may be struggling with a child. It may be hard to

A Blended Future Of Technology

A Blended Future Technology in education is not a new concept, especially at the college level.
Universities are encouraged to offer online courses, or as freelance journalist Chrissie Long and many
other experts call them, MOOCs (massive online open courses), to reach out to more students and
provide them with a more convenient style of learning (455). While MOOCs certainly have their
strengths, how far should universities go? What is the future of online education? Should colleges of

education? Blended courses, though not without faults of their own, can combine the best elements of

Because the lectures are outside of class, there is more time for discussion and clarification. The
lectures in strictly face to face courses are presented in class, so there is not usually enough time for in
depth discussions. MOOCs are entirely online, so there is no meeting for discussion. Blended courses
do meet and have time for discussions, but there are some drawbacks as well. For example, if a
student has a question that he or she cannot find the answer to, the student will have to wait until the
next in class meeting or email the professor to get the answer. In face to face classes, the student could
ask the professor immediately, but a student in a blended course would still be able to eventually ask
the professor in person, which is an advantage over a MOOC. Even though face to face classes have
more access to professors, and MOOCs do not require the student to come to campus, blended courses
remain beneficial to students because they provide more time for discussions and clarification than
other types of classes. Aside from more in class discussion, blended courses also allow students to set
their own paces. In an article for U.S. News World Report, author Jordan Friedman mentioned a 2011
Kaplan Inc. research review that said blended learning programs can potentially offer more

Dwelling in Possibilities Analysis Essay
Rhetorical Analysis Is our youth doomed? Mark Edmundson begs this question in his essay, Dwelling
in Possibilities. His essay explains how the lives of young people have changed drastically over the
years. Edmundson, professor at the University of Virginia, says his students are constantly going and
that they never stop; they never settle in fear of missing something great. In lieu of this, Edmundson
says that they are, victims of their own hunger for speed (Edmundson2). He also adds that his
students, and young people in general, use today s technology to be everywhere at once (watching a
movie, instant messaging, talking on the phone, and glancing at a textbook) and are therefore, not
anywhere in particular (Edmundson ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But, again, that is debatable and an author can never go wrong by proposing a solution when writing
to persuade. Besides omitting a solution, Edmundson does an excellent job persuading his readers,
especially with the use of references. Most writers, when writing to persuade, include facts and
statistics to support their viewpoint. Edmundson, however, refers to authors, and very famous ones at
that. This is a very successful method because his whole argument has to do with the lack of culture,
art, and writing, in today s youth. Referencing these authors really helps the reader to sense where he
is coming from and helps them to sense his passion for literature. Some of the authors referenced
include: Thoreau, Immanuel Kant, Gertrude Stein, Nietzche, Lord Byron, Wordsworth, and Emerson.
One reference, in particular, serves as an excellent example of how Edmundson s references are
successful in getting his point across. He compares youth to the contrasting Byron and Wordsworth,
Byron to how his students are today, and Wordsworth to how it ought to be. He states that Byron
wished to never be bored, as does today s youth (Edmundson 11). Edmundson also mentions, students
now are Romantics of a Byronic sort, and that, he would have adored their world of fast travel, fast
communication, and fast relationships (Edmundson 11). In contrast to Byron and today s youth,
Edmundson says that

Hiding One s Identity Is Nothing New
Hiding one s identity Is nothing new. Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay authored The
Federalist Papers in 1787 under pseudonym Publius. The ability to communicate anonymously is
viewed as part of our basic right to free speech . With the advent of computers and ease of access to
the internet, becoming anonymous as never been easier, and is far more reaching than the colonial
newspapers of 1787. For some this ease at which we can communicate anonymous is cause for
concern. Although we are no longer hiding our identities to promote the ratification of the
Constitution, being anonymous still plays a large role in our society. Online anonymity grants anyone
with an internet connection an unbiased voice, regardless of gender, race, or wealth. Without this
freedom to online anonymity many people would not feel free to express themselves or release
sensitive information about themselves or about corruption, in the case of whistleblowing. Anonymity
can also be used as a security measure and prevent unauthorized mining of personal information.
Although multiple ethical framework will be used and compared, using a consequence based
framework will be the main examining point throughout. The use of the term anonymous can be
confusing from an online perspective. When speaking of anonymity in such a sense it is not related to
the degree of traceability, but to the lack of aspects such as image, voice, and situation in the online
social environment . Those against online

Environmental Impacts Of Safe Drinking Water Essay
Summary
The Flint Water Crisis is a current health and safety issue that is affecting thousands of Americans in
Flint, Michigan. Residents of Flint are unable to use and trust the water from their taps due to high
levels of contamination and lead exposure. Children and adults have both suffered from exposure to
this water supply. Rashes and illness have been common across the city. The water crisis in Flint
developed its start when the city stopped receiving their drinking water from Lake Huron and started
tapping into the Flint river. Because of the many cost cutting measures, this change has lead to
numerous environmental, economic, social, legal, ethical, and risk management concerns over how the
Flint government handled this issue.
Environmental Impacts
Safe drinking water provisions is one of the most successful public health interventions that has
helped developed our country. In the case of Flint Michigan however, ignorance of the risks of the
unsuitable training of managers and staff that work on drinking water systems, has negatively
impacted the community of over 95,000 people. Because of this, they are now facing serious
environmental impacts.
The water in Flint, Michigan has very toxic levels of lead. Lead poising can deeply affect a child s
development of the nervous system and the brain in irreversible ways. The children in Flint that were
exposed to the lead are more likely to have lower IQs, as well as have a more difficult time paying
attention than the

Relativism And Moral Nihilism
As the weed of secularization continues to spread its roots through the belly of western civilization, its
critical that Christians properly discern its damaging effects on our society s sexual moral compass. As
a culture, it seems what is acceptable changes every few months with little reasoning or clear logic.
Confused, disoriented, and unable to draw a straight line between wrong and right, our culture s moral
compass is spinning. We are drifting off to sea in a ship commanded by drunk captain, name Moral
Relativism.
Moral relativism, collateral damage from secularization and postmodernism, looks past Christianity s
objectivism and appeals to the culture to govern its own sexual morality. Acknowledging the failures
of past generations, it demands that we are smarter, and wiser, than our religious ancestors.
Empirically, we have grown and evolved into a superior version of our species. Even biology is
incompetent and no longer able to accurately define our sexual identities and genders. The doors are
open wide for any interpretations of sexual expressions and identities to stroll inside. Our inclusivity is
now breeding with moral relativism to create a new monster, moral nihilism.
Whereas you might have once been able to explain away how relativism and nihilism are entirely
different philosophical categories, that doesn t work now. The lines between them are now extremely
blurry; our drunk moral ship captain is unable to see where one begins and other ends. Without an
objective moral anchor, our society will be carried by every wave of worldly sinful passion. What
began as an attempt to be kind and coexist has malformed into an inclusivity that has no choice but to
allow whatever perversions may come. Without some level of sexual exclusivity, it loses meaning and
purpose; nihilism is born. We need to moral boundaries to preserve substance.
Humanity has always used exclusivity as way to maintain value and integrity. Something must be rare
for it to be of great worth. This is true for currency, jewelry, athletes, and consumer products. Its
simple supply and demand. If we have lots of something in a restrained fashion is becomes a
commodity and possess little intrinsic value. However, if an item is rare,

Obesity Epidemic Among Schools Are Healthy Eating And...
I would like to congratulate your team on the various efforts and programs launched by the district

aged children in Framingham is of utmost importance. In Framingham, 20.4% of children are obese
while 38.1% of children are classified as overweight (1). As school administrators and district

according to Massachusetts state guidelines. HPE is designed to provide students with a positive
environment to grow and develop healthy lifestyle behaviors. The biggest drawback of HPE is that it
is not a mandatory course of curriculum. Hence, students may not show participation in this program

following are additional shortcomings of the program:
Limited Physical Education: According to data from the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System

and only 28.4% attended physical education class daily (7). Also, it is found that as student go on to a
higher grade, their participation in physical activity goes on decreasing due to increased burden of
studies. In higher grades, it becomes difficult for students to manage their time between school,
assignments and outdoor activities(7). In US, the current problem is that 37% students do not

The reader follows along with the processes of Clara s mind maybe it was uttered by the girl who

Visibility In Macbeth Essay
The question of visibility in Shakespeare s Macbeth, doesn t quite abide by the same straightforward
literal invisibility as found in The Tempest or The Witch of Edmonton. The instances of questionable
visibility in Macbeth are the hallucinations of the bloody dagger and the ghost of Banquo by Macbeth,
and the hallucination of blood on her hands by Lady Macbeth. Each of these moments are moments in
which the visibility of the vision is split. To the character who sees the vision it is most obviously
discernible, however the vision is not necessarily visible to the audience or the other characters, thus
functioning as a form of the unseen. In Scene 1, Act II, as Macbeth prepares to kill Duncan, he
hallucinates a bloody dagger saying: Is this a dagger which I see before me, the handle toward my
hand? The dagger isn t visible to the audience, i.e. it isn t written into the stage directions, but rather it
is Macbeth who reveals through his soliloquy that he is seeing something that is unseen by the
audience. The significance of it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only does the barrier of the seen and the unseen provide the setting for a play in which witchcraft
is central, but it also allows the playwright to use it as an extra tool for influencing and driving the
plot. It adds to the mystery of unnatural occurrences, evoking reactions from characters, but it also
allows for a layered approach to plot development, seeing as not all the events unfold as a result of
direct and open interference. The forms in which invisibility is employed vary from the literal to the
symbolic, providing different roles for it in the plays. Whether the role is one of symbolic
representation or literal manifestation, the influence of the unseen is crucial to the manner in which the
plot progresses and characters evolve. Invisibility is the tool that allows for the diversification of the

The Early Renaissance Art in Florence
The early Renaissance art in Florence focused on an elaborate, Gothic style of painting; very formal
and traditional, yet there was always something that seemed to be lacking. Perspective and depth were
two very important qualities in painting, yet up until the time of young Masaccio, (born Tommaso
Guidi), paintings were beautiful, but seemed to just be art that hung on the wall. In Masaccio s work,
rather than recede in space, the figures seem to come forward (Cole 120). He may not have known it
at the time, but his style of painting would influence many painters well after his death; Donatello,
Michelangelo, and so on. Masaccio may have only painted for a total of 8 years, but during those 8
years he revolutionized not only the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It has undergone many repairs, and has been to many places, so it can sometimes be hard to really see
past all of the new and really see what Masaccio created. Yet, really looking past what has been
changed, a viewer can really see Masaccio s talent: Masaccio s perspective design of the vault was
created within the surface geometry. The foreshortened pattern of coffers could be calculated using
simple geometry (Polzer 1). Masaccio was not just an artist, but also used basic math and geometry
skills to really create that realism in his works. This shows that he was also very intellectual as well as
creative, and became part of another era of painting that used skills such as geometry, and not just
creativity, in creating art. The Holy Trinity truly creates the illusion of Christ being crucified right in
that archway, and that the viewers could just walk right in and become a part of the painting. As James
Ackerman says, the magnificent vault arching over the austere figures in Masaccio s fresco [is] an
utterly convincing illusion of architectural form extending into space (Achkerman 171). In this piece,
Masaccio s use of vanishing points and linear perspective draw the spectator s eye to the center of the

Adolescent Learning Practices And Preferences
This assignment has two folds. It first attempts to capture and narrate stories of adolescent learning
practices and preferences in a middle school setting. Then, it analyses and interprets the narrative
through the lens of literatures. The interpretation also can be supported or confuted by the perspectives
gained from my interactions with adolescents and their teachers during my recent placement. As
Pendergast (2009) points out, there is a lack of emphasis on middle school education that results in
ineffective teaching and learning approaches. So, in recognising a need for every middle school
teacher to develop a better knowledge and understanding of adolescents, this qualitative exercise
becomes a salient point of my teacher training.
Adolescents are often seen as a risk or perceived to be at risk (Carrington, 2006). Like many, I, too,
have acquired such perception. Therefore, there is an urgency to replace the old with new fresh
perspectives. In order to engage adolescents, a teacher must explore various learning needs based on
the characteristics of adolescents. MYSA (2008, p. 1) defines middle schooling as an intentional
approach to teaching and learning that is responsive and appropriate to the full range of needs,
interests and achievements of middle year students in formal and informal schooling contexts. The
challenge of being able to understand and engage adolescents is significant.

Brave Men And Women Of This Great Nation
Brave men and women of this great nation choose to make what many have referred to as the ultimate
sacrifice by answering our nation s call to serve as a member of the United States Armed Forces. Most
have no clue of how these individuals manage to tolerate the rigors of highly intensive, extended
training days for months at a time. The idea of maintaining mental, physical, and spiritual resilience
throughout lengthy combat deployments to the middle east and other tormented nations abroad all
while having to uphold a long distance relationship with your significant other, children, and family is
mind boggling. Statistics have proven that the job of United States military personnel to be one of the

the preference of alternative treatment options. As patients regain the power of making decisions

The Ontological Argument
The Ontological Argument
In my view, the belief that the mere concept of God carries real existence with it is sound. I would
deploy the same argument as a cogent proof of the existence of God.
The belief of a greater perfect being is what brings forth this argument. This idea is seen in most
religions all over the world, the existence of God , except in atheism which denies the existence of a
supreme being. As proof, I bring forth Descartes claim in the Fifth Meditation in which he
demonstrates the existence of God from the idea of a supremely perfect being. He explains further the

How Legislation and Policies Influence Education in...
Australia is very a multicultural and diverse country. Consequently schools are faced with many
diverse students of different abilities and backgrounds. To ensure equity and fairness among students,
policies and legislations have been put into place to ensure diversity is being catered for and that no
student is being excluded from the education system. Some of these policies and legislation include:
The Disability Discrimination Act 1992, The Salamanca Statement, Disability Standards 2005,
Inclusive Education Statement, Disabilities Services Act QLD 2006 and the Melbourne Declaration.
As educators, it is important to acknowledge and implement these polices when planning
activities/lessons/curriculum in the classroom. This essay aims to ... Show more content on

The teacher can encourage this inclusion by teaching the students, parents, and other community
members about negative stereotypical attitudes about students with disabilities by avoiding negative
words, such as disabled , or crippled , or handicapped and to promote positive ideas about disabilities
into class work, the student s play time and other activities. To further ensure that the classroom is
promoting equality for the child with the disability, the teacher should incorporate an inclusive
curriculum mindset, by adapting the lessons, learning materials and classroom to suit the needs of all
the different types of learners including the child with the disability within the classroom. In 1994,
representatives of 92 governments and 25 international organizations formed the World Conference on
Special Needs Education and called on the international community to endorse the concept of change
and inclusion through a new statement called The Salamanca Statement . As this was the first major
international statement of what an inclusive approach to education needs to be, they formed practical
strategies to ensure this positive inclusion would take place worldwide. The statement outlines that
every child has a right to education and must be given the opportunity to learn. It also urges the
government to adopt the principle of

The Heart Of The Body Essay
In mammals, there are many different systems that all work together in the body in order to create life;
one of those systems that holds a great portion of responsibility it the circulation system. In the
circulation systematic, the heart is the main component and worker, which for mammals comes in the
form of a dual pump that moves blood throughout the entire body. While moving blood throughout the
body the heart also helps with oxygenating the blood, by pushing it through the lungs. The heart is
composed of 2 atrial chambers and 2 ventricles, left and right. When blood enters the atrial chambers
it is at low pressure and when it leaves the ventricles it is at high pressure, so that it has the force to be
pushed throughout the body. The general pathway that blood travels is it enters the right atrium, and
then travels to the right ventricle where it is forced into the lungs to be oxygenated. The blood then
leaves the lungs and travels back to the left atrium, and then it goes to the left ventricle where it is then
forces to the rest of the body. There are several different factors that play a role in the overall rate that
the heart beats, such as central nervous system, more specifically the parasympathetic and sympathetic
nerves, and the pacemaker cells. The pacemaker cells, also referred to as sinoatrial node, which sends
out action potentials that contract the ventricles and spreads to the atrioventricular node to lead to the
contraction of the atrium. Electrical

The Principle Of The Company
PART (A)
A company is considered to have a separate legal entity and an independent existence which is
different from its members but still Under the Corporations Act, 2001 the main principle of the
company is to operate through its directors as they are the one who are responsible for all the tasks and
affairs of the company and so all the statutory responsibilities have to be carried out by its directors
and hence it is very important that they perform their duties with care and honesty and compel with
the provisions of corporations law and also to establish their duties under common law and general
law and it is the duty of all the directors of the company that they should act in the best interest of the
company.
The term director is defined in section 9 of the Corporations Act 2001 to mean:
A person validly appointed as a director or an alternate director.
A person, even though not validly appointed as a director, if that person acts in the position of a
director ( de facto director) .
A non executive director governs an organisation along with all the other directors on behalf of the
members or the shareholders by whom the directors are selected. A non executive director is the one
who is not appointed in executive capacity by the company. Even Though, they are not appointed in
executive capacity but they still must compel with legal requirements of Corporations Act 2001
As such, it can be said that all the directors have equal responsibilities towards

The Holocaust After World War II
Have you ever wondered or thought about what happened to the Nazis that helped with different parts
of the Holocaust after World War II ended? Well, I thought about it and I did some research about the
famous trials that happened between the years 1945 through 1949. These trials were made up after a
man by the name of Adolf Hitler wanted world domination and he treated the jews horribly. This event
solved a lot of problems from establishing an International Court and knowing what to do with the
men that helped Hitler with the Holocaust. The charges were among many things but mostly crimes
against hummanity was the most used charge. There was also a lot of controversy about the laws that
were made in the court and before the trials even ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This trial also brought in interpreters, because all of the judges and people that were tried spoke at
least 4 different languages, and they needed somebody that understood the languages and could
translate it back quickly and effictiently.
At the end of this trial, The International tribunal found all but 3 guilty. 12 men were sentenced to
death, one in absentia, and the rest were put in prison. The prison sentences went from at least 10
years to life behind bars. 10 of the condemned were excuted by hanging on October 16, 1946. One of
Hitler s right hand man and the commander of the Luftwaffe commited suicide with a Cyannide pill
the night before his execution.
The Major War Criminals Trials ended in the year of 1946, then the Allies started a new trial that had
the lesser people on trial. These people ranged from doctors, store owners, and lawyers. This set of
trials were called the subsequent trials. There were a total of 12 trials grouped together to form the
subsequent trials. The first trial was the Doctors Trial this lasted from December 9th, 1946 to August

Informative Speech On The Big Bang Theory
Good Evening America! Welcome back to the Late Show with Nicholas Mok. Tonight we have with
us the executive producer of many award winning television series, Chuck Lorre! Thank you Chuck
for being here with us today, welcome! Boy, am I excited to be here. Thank you for inviting me today.
We sure are discussing an interesting topic! Oh, I am sure this must be your forte given your success
in The Big Bang Theory. (Cheers and screaming) So, why do you think stereotyping has been so
common in media? Stereotype is an advantage, especially in media where it can be widely used to
appeal to viewers by creating a connection with the audience. For a show to be successful, it has to be
able to connect with the audience, which is done so by having characters ... Show more content on

This was well received by the audience due to the stereotype that a nerd would never lose an academic
contest and their failure felt good to the common people. Through the different aspects of the nerd
stereotype, the show became more enriching, drawing even more viewers. I certainly had a great laugh
watching that scene! It definitely struck a chord with me since I am often on the losing side! There
was also this scene where Stan Lee sarcastically remarked to Sheldon to join him at his house for the
Lakers game in which Sheldon deemed as an invitation to his house, resulting in a restraining order on
Sheldon. Now I am sure that this show was made with a hope to impact our society? How have the
impacts been? There have definitely been positive impacts. Physics has always been considered a
boring science subject, however ever since the release of Big Bang Theory, the number of students
that enrol in the A levels has increased and I believe that we had a great part to play in it. (Cue
applause) I feel it has to do with our portrayal of physicists being people that actually do cool stuff
related to interesting topics, not just people who are bookworms and introverts and that have a non

Fourth Of July Essay
The Fourth of July in Sterling, Kansas is a time celebration, reunion, and blowing things up. Since the
town will be booming with people, TNT Dairyland has to be on top of it s game. I have been a star
employee for three years. Many employees have come and gone, but I know that I am Bim Trewer s
favorite! He has recently hired a few new people, Macy, my classmate, being one of them. I am
hesitant to work with her, because she is a lazy student and never on time. She goes running around
with her stupid pink nails thinking everyone loves her. It will be my goal this summer to out shine all
the other employees and finally get the recognition I deserve. As you all know, the Fourth of July is
next week and we will be very busy. Bim Trewer stated at a work meeting. I have come up with an
idea to motivate everyone to work harder and to reward the best employee. Tomorrow, the person who
makes the most tips will get a $1.50 raise. My ears perked up at the word raise. This is the moment I
ve been waiting for, Bim will finally recognise me for my hard work. I fell asleep that night and

It came time for the store to close and Macy had a small frown plastered on her face. She knew I had
won and it felt good to beat her. I walked over to the ice cream machine, to clean it for the night. As I
was cleaning the lever, I heard a small crackle. Before I could blink, the machine gushed melted,
sticky vanilla ice cream all down me. The cold seeped through my shirt and ran all the way to my feet,
landing in a puddle. In the midst of my mess, I almost didn t notice the pink polish on the broken
lever. Macy was behind this, but what did this accomplish for her. I already had more MY TIPS! I
shoved my hands down in my apron and grabbed my tips, turning my nose up at the squishy texture.
All of my tips were one sticky, wet pile of non legible dollars. I ran out of the store before I could do

Feminist Inequality
Considered superiority to be tendered man accustomed by women to respect men. Whether at home or
any work environment. There is no equality between genders, even men who identify as gay may not
have the same privileges. And as a feminist, all I seek is for equality. The effort the feminists strive for
equality inspired me to seek equality, because a female deserves to be valued just as a male. The
understanding of inequality is from the friendship of females I am a part of. My female friends have
more masculine traits compared to me and I appreciate their strong traits, but females should be
treated with respect and carry the same value, not degraded for being a woman. Women are just as
capable as men, but are not recognized. My friends are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just because one has an entitlement of being a man, does not give the right to be above women.
Females are taken advantage of sexually, verbally, and consciously. It is wrong and should be handled.
Being a man will give me an advantage positively. How women are treated and degraded is not
acceptable to me. Females have amazing mind and great ideas, but are always brushed off and if a
man steals a woman s idea it is acknowledged and appreciated. I am a feminist to tell with a man s
advantage and spread equality. It is seen through many roles that there will be a greater male
representative compared to a female in any entitlement which should progress. In conclusion, I am a
feminist because I am a man. My word will be valued more, but brings sight to gender inequality.
Being a feminist, is to progress inequality within homes and community and not entitle gender to
compare which is more superior, but rather the

ground, yet statistics actually show that air travel is the safest way to travel. In the following research

and crash ratio both have descended over the following 20 years. There are thousands of car fatalities
each year, along with deaths. You have a one in one million chance to crash while being present on an
plane. Statistics? Or in other words facts. These are the things that we lean on in life. If something has
good credibility or statistics, then its the way to go. Plane crashes can frighten you even if you re not
on board. In fact, we live in an era where plane travel is the safest and quickest way to travel. Just last
year, 2014 had the lowest amount of plane deaths. The Year 1972 had the highest crash ratio. Planes
have advanced since then and now are more efficient and safer. In 2014 there were only 761 plane
fatalities.Statistics show that six percent of plane crashes were weather related during the 2000 s.
Another twenty percent of plane crashes statistics says that crashes during the 1970 s were mechanical

  • 5. Nell Gwyn Research Paper Research Paper In 1660 there was a major restoration in the theatre community. One of the most impactful results of the restoration was the allowance of women on stage. Before the restoration women s roles were played by young boys ( Women In Restoration Theatre on WordPress.com. ). As one can imagine the appearance of women on stage did not settle easily with the common population. The first women to hit the European stage, Nell Gwyn, did not make it easy for the people to accept the new change either. Here are some reasons why. Nell Gwyn was born in February 2, 1650. Her father died in a debtor s prison when she was an infant causing her to be raise with her mother in the bawdyhouse of Covent Garden. Nell s sister, Rose, influenced her to become a Orange Girl at Drury Lane Theatre ( Nell Gwyn. ). It did not take long for her talents to be noticed. The same can also be said about the scandal around her to come. Nell stood out in many ways, but she caught the eyes of many suitors due to her fiery red hair and gorgeous hazel eyes. She did not have the typical look of the other women with dark hair and eyes. Nell was not only beautiful; her fun and witty personality made her even more desirable. Discuss the physical, social and emotional barriers that keep Truman on the show. The Truman Show is a 1998 film directed by Peter Weir that stars Jim Carrey as Truman Burbank, who is unknowingly broadcasted on a live, 24/7 television show. Having been chosen out of six unwanted pregnancies, Truman was adopted and raised in Seahaven, an artificial island enclosed in a large dome, but does not know this. This is not the only instance where Truman s close relationship with his mother confines him. Shortly after Sylvia, Truman s former love interest, was released from the show, His mother got sick, really sick. He couldn t leave her. He s kind. • 8. Theology of Grace Theology of Grace There are many different ways to interpret the theology of grace. In this paper, I will be discussing four major theologians who have the most popular insights on grace. These theologians include Augustine, Aquinas, Luther, and Rahner who all have their own unique perspective on grace. All of their theories seem to intertwine with one another but each individual one has a different twist that makes them slightly different. The first theologian I m going to discuss is Augustine. Augustine was known as the Father of Grace. He believed that all human nature is in disorder due to universal sin of Adam and Eve. Luther believed that a merciful god would deliver anyone from the evil they did. Only by the grace of God can forgiveness of sin be achieved. Even after you are graced, you are still partly a sinner. He believed that you could not merit grace and could not learn grace through works, it is all given. Grace is totally undeserved and only through God s choice can you be graced. Lastly is Rahner, who was a Neo Thomist and a student of Aquinas. Rahner believed in the supernatural existential and obediential potency meaning that as we re born we have the ability and capacity to receive the love of God. He said that grace was God s self communication in love. Also, grace is not an extra addition to human nature. Karl Rahner developed a theology that views grace as the offer of God s love that is intrinsic to existent human nature (pg. 1). He believed that you can either accept or reject the honor of grace. According to Rahner, human beings freely choose to ratify or to reject that orientation which is itself the free gift of a loving God, but the orientation remains structured into their being (pg. 2). You re only free when you love. If you decide to love then you are authentic but if you decide not to love then you are disgraced. Rahner believed that like God, we can know and can ... Blended courses do meet and have time for discussions, but there are some drawbacks as well. For example, if a student has a question that he or she cannot find the answer to, the student will have to wait until the next in class meeting or email the professor to get the answer. In face to face classes, the student could ask the professor immediately, but a student in a blended course would still be able to eventually ask the professor in person, which is an advantage over a MOOC. Even though face to face classes have more access to professors, and MOOCs do not require the student to come to campus, blended courses remain beneficial to students because they provide more time for discussions and clarification than other types of classes. This is a very successful method because his whole argument has to do with the lack of culture, art, and writing, in today s youth. Referencing these authors really helps the reader to sense where he is coming from and helps them to sense his passion for literature. Some of the authors referenced include: Thoreau, Immanuel Kant, Gertrude Stein, Nietzche, Lord Byron, Wordsworth, and Emerson. One reference, in particular, serves as an excellent example of how Edmundson s references are successful in getting his point across. He compares youth to the contrasting Byron and Wordsworth, Byron to how his students are today, and Wordsworth to how it ought to be. He states that Byron wished to never be bored, as does today s youth (Edmundson 11). • 24. Relativism And Moral Nihilism As the weed of secularization continues to spread its roots through the belly of western civilization, its critical that Christians properly discern its damaging effects on our society s sexual moral compass. As a culture, it seems what is acceptable changes every few months with little reasoning or clear logic. Confused, disoriented, and unable to draw a straight line between wrong and right, our culture s moral compass is spinning. We are drifting off to sea in a ship commanded by drunk captain, name Moral Relativism. Moral relativism, collateral damage from secularization and postmodernism, looks past Christianity s objectivism and appeals to the culture to govern its own sexual morality. Acknowledging the failures of past generations, it demands that we are smarter, and wiser, than our religious ancestors. Empirically, we have grown and evolved into a superior version of our species. Even biology is incompetent and no longer able to accurately define our sexual identities and genders. The doors are open wide for any interpretations of sexual expressions and identities to stroll inside. Our inclusivity is now breeding with moral relativism to create a new monster, moral nihilism. Whereas you might have once been able to explain away how relativism and nihilism are entirely different philosophical categories, that doesn t work now. The lines between them are now extremely blurry; our drunk moral ship captain is unable to see where one begins and other ends. Without an objective moral anchor, our society will be carried by every wave of worldly sinful passion. What began as an attempt to be kind and coexist has malformed into an inclusivity that has no choice but to allow whatever perversions may come. Without some level of sexual exclusivity, it loses meaning and purpose; nihilism is born. We need to moral boundaries to preserve substance. Humanity has always used exclusivity as way to maintain value and integrity. Something must be rare for it to be of great worth. This is true for currency, jewelry, athletes, and consumer products. Childhood obesity policies in Framingham: The Framingham high school has implemented the Health and Physical Education (HPE) program to educate students using several physical activity concepts according to Massachusetts state guidelines. HPE is designed to provide students with a positive environment to grow and develop healthy lifestyle behaviors. The biggest drawback of HPE is that it is not a mandatory course of curriculum. Hence, students may not show participation in this program as there is no motivation to get involved in physical activity programs(6). Along with this flaw, the following are additional shortcomings of the program: Limited Physical Education: According to data from the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS), in 2011 only 51.8 % of high school students were enrolled in physical education classes, and only 28.4% attended physical education class daily (7). Also, it is found that as student go on to a higher grade, their participation in physical activity goes on decreasing due to increased burden of studies. • 28. Visibility In Macbeth Essay The question of visibility in Shakespeare s Macbeth, doesn t quite abide by the same straightforward literal invisibility as found in The Tempest or The Witch of Edmonton. The instances of questionable visibility in Macbeth are the hallucinations of the bloody dagger and the ghost of Banquo by Macbeth, and the hallucination of blood on her hands by Lady Macbeth. Each of these moments are moments in which the visibility of the vision is split. To the character who sees the vision it is most obviously discernible, however the vision is not necessarily visible to the audience or the other characters, thus functioning as a form of the unseen. In Scene 1, Act II, as Macbeth prepares to kill Duncan, he hallucinates a bloody dagger saying: Is this a dagger which I see before me, the handle toward my hand? The dagger isn t visible to the audience, i.e. it isn t written into the stage directions, but rather it is Macbeth who reveals through his soliloquy that he is seeing something that is unseen by the audience. The Early Renaissance Art in Florence The early Renaissance art in Florence focused on an elaborate, Gothic style of painting; very formal and traditional, yet there was always something that seemed to be lacking. Perspective and depth were two very important qualities in painting, yet up until the time of young Masaccio, (born Tommaso Guidi), paintings were beautiful, but seemed to just be art that hung on the wall. In Masaccio s work, rather than recede in space, the figures seem to come forward (Cole 120). Yet, really looking past what has been changed, a viewer can really see Masaccio s talent: Masaccio s perspective design of the vault was created within the surface geometry. The foreshortened pattern of coffers could be calculated using simple geometry (Polzer 1). Masaccio was not just an artist, but also used basic math and geometry skills to really create that realism in his works. This shows that he was also very intellectual as well as creative, and became part of another era of painting that used skills such as geometry, and not just creativity, in creating art. The Holy Trinity truly creates the illusion of Christ being crucified right in that archway, and that the viewers could just walk right in and become a part of the painting. As James Ackerman says, the magnificent vault arching over the austere figures in Masaccio s fresco [is] an utterly convincing illusion of architectural form extending into space (Achkerman 171). • 31. Adolescent Learning Practices And Preferences This assignment has two folds. It first attempts to capture and narrate stories of adolescent learning practices and preferences in a middle school setting. Then, it analyses and interprets the narrative through the lens of literatures. The interpretation also can be supported or confuted by the perspectives gained from my interactions with adolescents and their teachers during my recent placement. As Pendergast (2009) points out, there is a lack of emphasis on middle school education that results in ineffective teaching and learning approaches. So, in recognising a need for every middle school teacher to develop a better knowledge and understanding of adolescents, this qualitative exercise becomes a salient point of my teacher training. Adolescents are often seen as a risk or perceived to be at risk (Carrington, 2006). Like many, I, too, have acquired such perception. Therefore, there is an urgency to replace the old with new fresh perspectives. In order to engage adolescents, a teacher must explore various learning needs based on the characteristics of adolescents. MYSA (2008, p. 1) defines middle schooling as an intentional approach to teaching and learning that is responsive and appropriate to the full range of needs, interests and achievements of middle year students in formal and informal schooling contexts. The Heart Of The Body Essay In mammals, there are many different systems that all work together in the body in order to create life; one of those systems that holds a great portion of responsibility it the circulation system. In the circulation systematic, the heart is the main component and worker, which for mammals comes in the form of a dual pump that moves blood throughout the entire body. While moving blood throughout the body the heart also helps with oxygenating the blood, by pushing it through the lungs. The heart is composed of 2 atrial chambers and 2 ventricles, left and right. When blood enters the atrial chambers it is at low pressure and when it leaves the ventricles it is at high pressure, so that it has the force to be pushed throughout the body. The general pathway that blood travels is it enters the right atrium, and then travels to the right ventricle where it is forced into the lungs to be oxygenated. The blood then leaves the lungs and travels back to the left atrium, and then it goes to the left ventricle where it is then forces to the rest of the body. There are several different factors that play a role in the overall rate that the heart beats, such as central nervous system, more specifically the parasympathetic and sympathetic nerves, and the pacemaker cells. Stereotype is an advantage, especially in media where it can be widely used to appeal to viewers by creating a connection with the audience. For a show to be successful, it has to be able to connect with the audience, which is done so by having characters ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This was well received by the audience due to the stereotype that a nerd would never lose an academic contest and their failure felt good to the common people. Through the different aspects of the nerd stereotype, the show became more enriching, drawing even more viewers. I certainly had a great laugh watching that scene! It definitely struck a chord with me since I am often on the losing side! There was also this scene where Stan Lee sarcastically remarked to Sheldon to join him at his house for the Lakers game in which Sheldon deemed as an invitation to his house, resulting in a restraining order on Sheldon. Now I am sure that this show was made with a hope to impact our society? How have the impacts been? There have definitely been positive impacts. Physics has always been considered a boring science subject, however ever since the release of Big Bang Theory, the number of students that enrol in the A levels has increased and I believe that we had a great part to play in it. (Cue applause) I feel it has to do with our portrayal of physicists being people that actually do cool stuff related to interesting topics, not just people who are bookworms and introverts and that have a non existent social ... In the midst of my mess, I almost didn t notice the pink polish on the broken lever. Macy was behind this, but what did this accomplish for her. I already had more MY TIPS! I shoved my hands down in my apron and grabbed my tips, turning my nose up at the squishy texture. All of my tips were one sticky, wet pile of non legible dollars.
