Question. 1. “Self-awareness is the conscious recognition of one’s
inner most feelings, thoughts, character, motives and desires”.
Illustrate, citing the importance of Self-awareness.
Answer: Self-awareness (sometimes also referred to as self-knowledge or introspection) is about
understandingyourownneeds,desires,failings,habits,andeverythingelse thatmakesyoutick. The
more you know about yourself, the better you are at adapting life changes that suit your needs.
Of course, self-awareness is a big part of both therapy and philosophy. It's also the basis of the
quantified self movement, which assumes that if you collect data about yourself you can make
improvements based on that data. The New York Times breaks down the roots like so:
Self-awarenessisthe capacityforintrospectionandthe ability to recognize oneself as an individual
separate from the environment and other individuals.
Question. 2. Explain Heuristic Method and Catwoe Analysis as tools
of problem solving.
Answer: The term “Heuristic” refers to Armstrong who was the exponent of this strategy. Pollion
and Dankar (1945) calledit“problemsolving”.Itisbasedonthe psychological principlesof "trial and
error" theory.Logical andimaginative thinkingare perquisites for his type of teaching strategy. It is
an economical and speedy strategy.
Meaning of Heuristic Method of Teaching
Question. 3. Explain the concept of Time Management.
Give an analysis and diagnosis of the use of time.
Answer: The modern concept of time management - the act of planning the amount of time you
spendonwhichactivities - really began with Frederick Taylor's scientific management techniques.
His goal was toincrease workerproductivity.Todo this, he conducted time and motion studies and
began to focus on the best ways for jobs to be performed to maximize the work completed in a
given amount of time.

Question. 4. Enumerate the factors affecting successful delegation.
Answer: Delegationisanart, not a science.So,there isnodefinite principle to follow for improving
the skill of delegation. Manager will have to improve it only by experience.
The experience of many executives provides the foundation for these guiding factors explained

1. Determine goals:Assignmentsshould be clearly defined in terms of goals or results expected. If
the person is to accept the delegation enthusiastically, he should be provided with detailed
information with emphasis that his work is both necessary

Answer: Managementis essential in every walk of life. Even what we eat should be managed. You
just can’t put anything in your mouth. One needs to be cautious. In the same way, a team must be

messages require richer channels of communication that facilitate interaction to ensure clarity.
