Amalaki
Commonly known as amla or indian gooseberry is found all over india. It is
considered to be the best herb for pacification of pitta dosha. This fruit serves as the

Dadima

almost all the disorders of pitta like excessive thirst, acidity, burning micturition and

 This herb is known as liquorice in English. The root of this herb is used for medicinal
purposes. It is sweet in taste and is used for pacification of pitta dosha. It acts as an
expectorant and is used for treatment of dry cough, cold etc with honey. It has a mild
laxative property and is also indicated in disorders like hyperacidity, heart burn etc.
As per ayurvedic texts the root powder of this herb if taken with milk acts as a brain
tonic.
Chandan

Chandan known as sandalwood tree is commonly found in dry regions. It contains
an essential oil which has a good fragrance and is used for cosmetic purposes. The
herb has cooling properties and pacifies pitta dosha. It is indicated in various skin
disorders like burning, eczema, herpes etc. It is common ingredient of face packs

Kharjura
