2. 1. Introduction to Botany
Many times you will see a tree with long pods on the
side of the road. These pods are thick, round and
long, like the rods in Viti Dandu. This tree has
attractive yellow flowers. This tree is Argwadh. In
Marathi it is called Bahawa.
A very useful tree in Ayurveda. Various alternative
names like Argvadh (Destroyer of Diseases),
Rajvriksha (Beautiful Tree), Shampak (Beneficial
Fruit Giver), Chaturangul, Dirghaphala,
Swarnabhushan (Yellow with Gold Flower) have
come up for flow.
The husks, flowers, leaves and roots of Bahwa pods
are used for medicinal purposes.

3. 2. Audumbar: - A tree with religious and medicinal properties
The amber tree of religious significance is familiar to
all. Udumbar is famous as the favorite tree of Datta
Maharaj. Audumbar tree is usually found near Datta
Mandir. Umbar tree with alternate names like
Udumbar, Jantufal, Yajnang, Hem Dugdhak has the
same medicinal properties.
At the end of the rainy season, the roots of the
threshing floor are cut off and the leaking water is
collected and filled in a clean container. This water
calms bile, stops bleeding, reduces heat in measles
and chicken pox.

4. 3. Vala - a heat-reducing plant!

7. 6. Pimpal Vriksha - Bodhidrum Mahavriksha!

9. 8. Guggul - Devdhup, many ailments!
Guggul is used as an evening incense in many homes.
Google incense is available in the market. Guggula is
used by many people as it is fragrant and purifies the
environment.
Guggul is the export of the plant. The plant grows in
areas where rainfall is low. Due to the intense heat of the
sun's rays, this export starts leaking from the Google tree
in summer. In winter and autumn, when the gum thickens
and forms a ball, it is scraped off. As such, it is used in
the form of incense.
There is a lot of adulteration in Google. There are some
tests in Ayurveda on how to identify pure Guggul.

10. 9. Neem - The best remedy for many ailments and healthy skin!
Neem tree. With many medicinal uses. From time to
time we use it for various skin problems. Neem oil,
neem toothpaste, neem soap are used in many
homes. Needless to say, neem is good for the body.
Neem is as important to Gudipadva in the month of
Chaitra as it is to Goda. The science behind it is to
take the peel of this neem tree so that the heat of
Chaitra month does not bother the body. Indians
know how useful neem is.
Neem is bitter in juice and cold in nature. Therefore,
neem works to reduce body heat.

11. 10. Basil - a herbaceous plant in every home!
Even a Vrindavan of Tulsi or a plant of Tulsi is rare in a
house without a pot in the house. Tulsi has a unique
general significance in our culture. Tulsipatra is required
for worship or on the plate of Naivedya.
Surasa in Ayurveda (because Tulsichara is beneficial and
flows to God). Bhootaghni (being a disinfectant),
Bahumanjiri, Sulbha, Gramya (plants are planted in the
house) are different names for Tulsi.
Basil is said to be anthelmintic. Basil purifies the
atmosphere, so it is beneficial to walk around in the
morning.

12. 11. Lead - Shravanmas plant special
