   As per ayurveda agravation of vata dosha is the main
    causative factor of stroke which ocuurs due to

 Improper dietary habits

This vata dosha creates obstruction in the blood supply of
  brain leading to stroke
Ayurvedic management
 To detoxify the body by expelling out the vitiated vata
  is the main line of treatment.
 The detox therapy mainly indicated for this in ayurvedic
  texts is virechana.
 Virechana is conducted by using
 Eranda taila
 Gandharva haritaki
 Dugdha etc.
Basti therapy
   This is another detox therapy beneficial for management of
    stroke.
   It will remove vata dosha from it’s main location and thus
    will cure the disease from it’s roots.
   Niruha with dashmoola kwath and anuvasana with tila taila
    will prove to be beneficial.
   Shirobasti is another type of basti in which medicated oils
    are pooled over head for mental relaxation and quick action
    of drugs.
Snehan and Swedana
   These are conducted as a pre procedure of detox therapies
    with following medicines

   Mahanarayana taila
   Bala taila
   Dashamoola kwath
   Nirgundipatra kwath

   These therapies will be also useful for activating the affected
    parts of body which have stopped functioning
Nasya
 For revitalizing the damaged brain tissue the medicines
  should directly reach the brain .
 This therapy will help the medicines to reach directly to
  their target organ i.e. brain.
 Nasya can be conducted with following medicines in

 Shadbindutaila
 Brahmi taila
 Anu taila
Pinda swedana
   This is a type of swedana therapy which shows
    excellent results in mobilizing the damaged body parts.
