2. To address this question I had 10 people to
review my music video; following this, a series
of set questions for them to answer was
distributed. The only fault is that they could not
answer the ones to do with the digipak. The
results are shown in this presentation with a
short description of how they correlate
between audiences and the music video.
3. I explained to the group of people that my video broke the normal
codes and conventions of the genre and these results reflect this;
half the participants said that it partially broke these conventions
this could be due to them either not knowing the genre of music as
well, also, how most music videos are constructed.
4. As previously stated, I gave an overview of what my music video
is meant to do and that is refusing to along with conventional
narrative structures. They had differing views on the subversion
of the narrative was but the majority were in agreement.
5. The majority of participants thought that the characters were
represented quite well in their individual sections that correlated
with the music; they commented on the composition that even
though the footage was fragmented into the separate clips the
overall effect was 'good enough.'

8. The greater number of those who have taken part agree that this
music video has been effectively combined through the use of
transitions to make sure that the video goes onto the next clip;
they also found the reversal of pieces of footage quite amusing
to watch.
9. The audience that watched this music video saw that most of the
footage is adequately edited to the music such as the moments
that feature the written lyrics.
10. The results of this question are mixed even though half agreed
that the mise en scene was constructed quite well whilst the
majority of the others are undecided.
11. Here there is an even distribution of answers with those who
have the opinion that the audience for this type of music genre
has been sufficiently targeted.
12. Summary
Upon looking through the results, the feedback has highlighted a
few points:
The group of participants mostly have a negotiated reading
suggesting that they agree with some of the aspects such as
how the editing and mise en scene helped to create the
narrative in the music video.
For the comments I had a mixed reaction with some stating that I
could use more shot angles and relevant clips to ensure a
better continuity through the music video.
