This document discusses assistive devices and their purpose. Assistive devices are designed to help individuals perform tasks and increase independence. They can be internal or external devices. The document outlines different types of assistive devices including orthoses, which are externally applied to modify body structure; prosthetics, which replace missing limbs; and mobility aids. •Orthotist: Paramedical staff responsible for the prescription,
fitment,management of orthosis.
Eg:Spinal orthosis program,Knee Ankle foot orthosis,Static
wrist Orthosis,hand orthosis,Elbow orthosis.

•It is a science deals with functional and cosmetics
