2. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga’s unique selling point is her very strange and
unique taste in costume. She often wears very weird and
creative dresses in her music videos and even sometimes
to award evenings.
Often, her costume choice is a great source of word of
mouth and publicity whether its positive or not. This
definitely helps publicise her pop music to a very
mainstream audience which obviously creates a contrast.
3. Die Antwoord
Die Antwoord’s USP is their creepy and freak like
representation in their music videos and interviews
etc. The small female singer (Yo Landi) is known for
her weird hairstyles and her small and skinny
physique. The male singer (Ninja) is known for his
full body of tattoos and his teeth that are usually
gold or silver.
Also, the names and narratives of the songs they
create are always very weird and controversial such
as ‘fatty fatty boom boom’, ‘baby’s on fire’ and
‘ugly boy’.
4. Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson’s costume was his unique selling
point. He nearly always wore very smart clothing
including either a leather jacket or a suit. He always
wore a fedora to match his outfit and a glove only
on one hand.
His style of costume has become incredibly unique
and MJ will always be remembered for it. He died a
legend and his style of clothing went with him.
