2. TAYLOR SWIFTS BRAND IMAGE
Taylor Swift sports red lipstick which has been her trademark look since
her 4th album titled 'RED'. Her hairstyles over the span of her career have
also become a part of the trademark look. For her first 3 albums, she was
known to have long curly hair whilst her most recent release '1989', has
seen a change to a shorter look. Her make up also consists of winged eye
liner to give her the cat eye effect.
The prop's most associated with Taylor Swift are her guitar and cowboy
boots. She is well known for starting out in the country genre which is why
she is often associated with cowboy boots. Taylor Swift is also famous for
the fact that she writes her own songs which is why she often performs
with a guitar. As she has matured into the pop genre, her style has
changed. At award shows she is often seen to be wearing floor length
gowns whilst in her daily life she is most often spotted wearing crop tops.
This reflects her more mature attitude which is associated with her pop
music.

Overall, Taylor Swift's brand image is created in order to present her as
a role model. Her style is fashionable yet appropriate for fans of all ages
whilst her innocent look increases her likability.
3. THE BRAND IMAGE FOR OUR ARTIST
We wanted the look of our artist to be dreamy and whimsical to present her as being someone
who is innocent and pure. This helps a viewer believe what the artist is singing in the song. To
achieve this, she will be dressed in a lightly coloured floaty dress with natural make up and
lightly curled hair. For this look, we took inspiration from pop artists Ellie Goulding, Taylor Swift
and Gabrielle Aplin. They all sport this look in their music videos which shows that it is an image
well suited to the pop genre yet it also isn't the stereotypical pop genre look which will allow our
artist to be differentiated from others.
4. Our artist's brand image will contain natural colours to present her as
being down to earth and relatable. This is why we also wanted to
associate her with an ordinary setting, in order to create a relatability.
This look is very ethereal which will give the artist our take on the
'perfected' image many artists in the pop genre portray. The look
should be clean and polished and for this we took inspiration from
Katy Perry's 'Unconditionally' music video where she is also shown to
be sporting a natural look yet still looks polished and glossy as a pop
artist should. Demi Lovato has also worn this look.
