The document presents a novel neighbor coverage-based probabilistic rebroadcast protocol aimed at reducing routing overhead in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) by efficiently managing rebroadcast delays and probabilities. By utilizing neighbor coverage knowledge and calculating additional coverage ratios alongside connectivity factors, the proposed method reduces retransmissions while improving routing performance. Performance evaluations show that this approach outperforms existing protocols, such as AODV and DSR, in terms of collision rates and packet delivery ratios.
