Diversity In Canada
Diverse cultures has made Canada the best country for foreign immigrants. Canada made a huge
impact to the immigrants because the government accepted each of them to live in the country; which
gave them the opportunity to re build their lives and status again. Also, Canada has lots of
opportunities in terms of jobs and education. Everyone is welcome in Canada. People has diverse
cultures, ethnicity, and beliefs, but they are treated equally in Canada. They also do not discriminate
each other in terms of their colour, status, class, age, gender, work, and education level. Foreign
immigrants have come all over the world to come to Canada; to have a better life and see what Canada
can do for them in coming years. To begin with, Canada is known ... Show more content on

Aboriginal people during the 1900s were struggling because government of Canada took away their
legal rights and ownership from their homeland. They have suffered from many discrimination, for
instance, children were forced to go to residential school and they were not allowed to speak their own
language. Also, government did not give them any proper health care and medication; causing the
children to die at very young age. Another reason is that when the Europeans bought their land, they
promised to give Aboriginal people the rights to go for hunting and fishing, but they did not keep their
promised to keep Aboriginal legal rights from their land. Additionally, they had two different
government to rule Aboriginal people from the north and south. Basically, in the north, they had the
accurate rights for the Aboriginal people, but in the south, federal government was treating Aboriginal
people inappropriately; slowly claiming their homeland.
The second issue that the Aboriginal people were facing was the ethno cultural groups that came to
Canada from different countries across the globe. Since Asians, Ukrainians, Finns, and Norwegians
came to Canada, the government have somehow forgotten the Aboriginal people. The government of
Canada was focused on the immigration; landing many job opportunities from the people that came
from different countries, but unfortunately, Aboriginal people were having so

Stephen Vincent Strange Research Paper
No. But I can. Again. Again. Again. And again. Forever. That makes you my prisoner. Doctor Stephen
Vincent Strange is a mystic artist and magician who was once a normal human being until his days
past then became who he is now. Doctor Strange was once a brilliant and proficient neurosurgeon.
After days and years of being a skilled neurosurgeon, he one day had an atrocious car accident. He
ended up having faulty injuries mainly his hands. As a neurosurgeon, you must need steady hands in
order for you not to mess up in any type surgery. Now that he damaged his hands badly, he is not able
to perform his everyday skill activity. Stephen needs to move on but he keeps trying his best to bring
back the time he once had before the car accident and injuries. Stephen decided search places all
around the globe for a place he or others can heal his hands and then he encounters the Ancient One.
Stephen then became an old sorcerer supreme student to learn, practice the mystical arts and martial
arts thinking he would learn how to heal himself. As he was learning mystic arts, he found two items
which gave him additional powers which made himself more powerful than other sorcerer students.
Since he got more additional powers, he fought threats from mystical creatures and magicians. By

Violence Next Door Analysis
The social stratification of people can be affected by many things. In most cases people are affected by
economic factors. In class we watched documentaries that shows different economic struggles and
other structural inequalities. The documentaries were Violence Next Door: Growing up in the Favelas
and The Other Side of Immigration. They both showed different economic factors from different
places. One of the documentaries we watched in class called Violence Next Door: Growing up in the
Favelas followed teenagers in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Baltimore City, Maryland. The documentary
was made to show the lives of teens that live in what people call slums, ghettos, favelas, or the hood.
The documentary interviewed several teens about their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This documentary interviewed families from Mexico that have members who crossed the border to
The United States to find better labor opportunities. The border has been set to protect illegal
immigrants from crossing the border. Despite the protection of the borders, several Mexicans are able
to cross by being smuggled in or finding their own way in. They prefer to go to The U.S because they
get paid more per hour than they would earn in Mexico. They return after a couple of months and
sometimes years, but they cross the border because there are factors in Mexico that drive them away.
The economic factors that affects these families are NAFTA, government corruption, and lack of
technology and resources. The North American Free Trade Agreement is a treaty between Mexico, the
United States, and Canada. The trade agreement made costs of production higher for people in
Mexico. Importation of goods such as meats, fruits, and veggies started to come in from the United
States and caused loss of businesses in Mexico. The government in Mexico does not provide funding
for businesses to grow. Local officials don t share money provided by the government fairly. Subsidy
for businesses are difficult to find because their government don t notify people when funding is
available. The mayor is corrupted in a way that he bribes others for votes and picks certain people to
help. The government is also the reason why there is a lack of technology and resources for businesses
to grow. The business owners could not afford the technology for fast production like the United
States can provide. These economic factors affects the families that are left behind in Mexico while a
member crosses the border. Families are torn apart for months and sometimes years just so they can
make a better living from the money earned in the U.S. The children of families that cross the border

The Theme Of Existentialism In The Brother s Karamazov
The Brother s Karamazov describes the life of a man, named Fyodor Karamazov, and his four sons.
Each son represents a certain worldview which is explored throughout the novel. The oldest son,
Dmitri, after arguing with his father over his inheritance, falls in love with a woman named
Grushenka. When Fyodor is murdered, and three thousand roubles are stolen from him, the police
accuse Dmitri because of his conflict with Fyodor. The Brothers Karamazov describes how three men
with contrasting world views discover the corruption of their family and the truth behind a hideous
murder.
Existentialism is one worldview which is displayed in The Brother s Karamazov. Existentialists

Søren Kierkegaard is considered the father of existentialism ( Christian and Theological
Existentialism ). Kierkegaard wrote a book about the paradox surrounding Abraham sacrificing Isaac.
The narrator questions whether Abraham s faith in God can justify killing his son (Søren Kierkegaard:
A Master of Refraction 78). Another existentialist, Karl Jaspers, argues that, free will makes all faith
essentially existential. Jaspers also argues that, since life is absurd, it is less absurd to believe in a God
which promises eternal life than to believe in nothing at all ( Christian and Theological Existentialism
).
Dostoyevsky uses two contrasting chapters to argue against atheistic existentialism. The Grand
Inquisitor is a story written by Ivan Karamazov. In the story, Jesus visits the Spanish Inquisition, but
the religious leaders do not want Him there. They claim that they already have freedom, and that His
return will take the freedom away. The chapter reveals Ivan s belief that the church is just a cult which
thrives off of the weak, and it explains how incredibly boring a sinless world would

Lisa Sanders Why Can T This Man Breath While On His Back
In her Why Can t This Man Breath While on His Back? (2015), Lisa Sanders asserted that a man s odd
breathing rhythm can lead to a new medical diagnosis. Sanders supported her position by using a rare
medical case about a man s irregular respiration pattern. Sanders purpose was to give her readers a
lesson about taking action in order to prevent further questioning and damage to one s health. Given
the intellectual language that was used in the article, Sanders was writing to a curious audience with
an instructive tone to urge new abnormalities to be diagnosed.
In the beginning of Sanders article, she used a dialogue to make her column more dynamic. She added
this into her article to change her story s pace. The dialogue also guided her

Zoos And The Conservation Of Animals
A family is enjoying a trip to their local zoo when they stop to look at the tigers. The child sprints over
to exhibit with excitement; he notices a red sign stuck the glass of the enclosure which reads,
Endangered. Daddy, if the zoo is keeping the tigers in a cage in order to save them, when will they let
them back into the wild to live free? Based on statistics from public zoos across America, the
unfortunate answer to this question is a resounding Never. It has become noticeably evident that zoos
are not a current resource for the protection of rare and endangered species. Animals should not be
kept in zoos, because they fail at the conservation of animal species, provide little or no education
about habitat and the behavior of animals, and harm the animals physically and mentally.
Primarily, zoos fail at the conservation of animal species. Zoos claim that certain species would
become extinct if places like zoos did not exist, but they ultimately fail at the conservation of animal
species. Animals who are endangered will likely never be released back into natural habitats ( Zoos:
Pitiful Prisons par. 9). The Author of Captive Animal Protection Society states, Many zoos have no
contact of any kind with any reintroduction program, meaning that once the animals are introduced to
zoos, they are likely to remain there. One U.S. study found no compelling evidence for zoos and
aquariums to make the claim that they promote interest of conservation upon conversing with

Organizational Behavior Unit At Harvard Business School
Ranjay Gulati is the Jaime and Josefina Chua Tiampo Professor of Business Administration and the
Unit Head of the Organizational Behavior Unit at Harvard Business School. He also holds the position
of Chair of Harvard Business School s Advanced Management program ( Faculty and Research ).
Gulati focuses his research on the leadership, strategy, and organizational issues in business firms and
customer focused organizations. He studies leadership and strategic challenges that businesses face
when trying to build and expand their organizations in today s chaotic markets. Gulati understood
early on that as the economy evolved, the leadership strategies and priorities also needed to evolve in
order to continue progression and success nationally and globally. He based his teaching syllabi on
that basic idea of long term resilient success. Gulati focused his research and his teaching on exploring
the best way that managers can stay on track and change their practices to stay successful in a
dwindling economy as well as a thriving one. His research has followed many companies and he has
studied these companies for years to document how each one remained successful and continued to
compete in the growing market. The basic leadership strategies are becoming different than they were
generations before. A new way of thinking and managing is becoming the norm in the 21st century.
There is a greater demand from consumers as well as a larger spectrum of competition in the market.

The United States Marine Corp (USMC) was founded in 1775 during The Revolutionary War. From it
s inception, the ranks of the USMC were filled exclusively by males. Over 143 years later, in 1918,
women were finally allowed to enlist. At first, women couldn t participate in combat and were
restricted to a limited number of jobs. As was common at the time, they were not respected by their
male counterparts. It took several decades for women to gain respect and to be a allowed the full
spectrum of opportunities within the ranks of the Corps. Opha M. Johnson was the one who helped

Overview Of The Jinn
Introduction
The topic of Jinn in Islam is definitely a fascinating one, as man has an innate curiosity about the
supernatural and unseen. Unfortunately, this topic is also one that is replete with misconceptions. This
essay will explore the world of the Jinn through the Qur aan and authentic Sunnah.
Creation and Existence of Jinn
The Jinn possess some characteristics of human beings, such as the ability to think and reflect and the
ability to choose between good and evil, but they are different in their origin and creation. We are
informed by Allah that the Jinn are created from fire:
And the jinn, We have created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire. (Qur aan 55:27)

And if he does it again?
The student said, I struggle with him.
The teacher said, What would you do if you passed by some sheep and the sheepdog kept barking at
you and kept you from continuing on your way?
He replied, I would keep on until I drove him off.
The teacher said, You should ask the shepherd s help in keeping the dog away from you!
This analogy teaches us the best way to protect oneself: by seeking refuge and protection in Allah.
We are equipped with many weapons against Shaytaan and the Jinn in general from the Sunnah. These
include being in constant remembrance of Allah, seeking refuge in Allah before entering the
bathroom, reciting the Qur aan or sleeping, as well as the last two Surahs of the Qur aan and Ayatul
Kursi.
Conclusion
The world of the Jinn is one which is both sinister and intriguing. Knowing about it can explain many
of the mysteries of the seen world. By learning the monotheism of Allah, we defend ourselves from
these hidden allies of

Army Mandatory Essay
When it comes to the topic of military service being mandatory, most of us would readily agree that it
s a debatable topic. Where this argument usually ends, however, is on the question of violating free
will. Whereas some are convinced that making military service mandatory offers good opportunities
and promotes national unity, others maintain that it violates free will because it doesn t give them an
option. Though I concede that a person might not want to be in the military and shouldn t be forced to,
I still insist that making military service mandatory can help people make a better step in life, and
promote national unity. When it comes to military promoting nation unity, people don t think of the
many ways it can show that our country cares about standing strong together, and making sure that we
all stand by one another to fight for this country. According to List of Pros of Military Service ,
Mandatory military service promotes national unity by allowing citizens to learn and train together,
creating that shared experience of having served in the military (1). Basically this statement is saying
that people who serve in the military have a bond, so those who have never served in the military don t
understand this bond. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

equal. I agree with the pros rather than the cons, because they make better points. If military service

chance to realize what respect it. I will continue to concede that military service may violate free will,
but I will also state it can help people make a better step in

What Is The Truth-Belief-Belief Conceptual Analysis Of...
In this paper, I will discuss the truth belief justification conceptual analysis of knowledge, which I will
refer to as TBJ, Gettier cases, and an example that refutes TBJ. Conceptual analysis is an analysis of a
proposition P with given premises to acquire knowledge of that P. The truth belief justification
analysis of knowledge fails to provide sufficient conditions for someone to possess knowledge. For a
condition to be necessary, it has to be satisfied to have knowledge of a proposition. If a condition is
sufficient, then the person x will have some information to know something about proposition P.
Jointly sufficient conditions are conditions that all need to be satisfied together to have knowledge
about some P. They are necessary and supposedly jointly sufficient, but Gettier cases prove that extra
conditions on top of TBJ are required to be jointly sufficient. The TBJ analysis identifies three
conditions that are necessary and supposedly jointly sufficient for some person x to know some
proposition P. Truth indicates that the proposition P has to be true. The truth needs to correspond to
some true fact that relates to the world, such as that the Earth is round. It is necessary because a
proposition P can only be deduced by factual evidence shown to x. However, truth by itself is not
sufficient because truth itself is just a random fact. In addition, the person, x, needs to hold some sort
of belief in their proposition P. If you do not believe in a proposition P, then it cannot be known, since
you will not have any grounds on which to base your knowledge of that P. It is a necessary condition
since you can only know what you believe . However, it is not a sufficient condition by itself because
a belief is just x s opinion of a subject. Finally, the person, x s belief has to be accompanied by
observations from their senses, prior knowledge, or deductive reasoning, which in effect, explains
what the justification is. This may come from what people may see with their eyes, or forming a
conclusion from previously assumed premises. Justification is a necessary condition because the
allegedly known beliefs have to be adequately justified. Fallibility of justification is assumed since no
justification can

How Technology Has Changed Today s Society
Ever wondered how many steps you took after hiking up a mountain? Ever question your heart rate
after a great workout? Have you ever known someone who couldn t hear well until they got a hearing

include something that can be used to count the amount of steps, check your heart rate, and help

noun that is a small computer or advanced electronic device that is worn or carried on the body. If you

devices being wore in today s society where technology has seemed to take over. Wearable technology
isn t just used for extracurricular things like number of steps and how fast a mile was ran. They are
also used for work, school and wearable technology even has very beneficial medical uses. Wearable
technologies have gained both a great deal of approval by many, as well as some doubt of their
usefulness and privacy, all of which are dependent of the device and its user. There are a wide range of
wearable technology that is being used in the workforce today. There is wearable technology used for
jobs in military purposes, space interaction, firefighters and police officers. I recently read a very

Black Star Uncanny Effect
The never ending universe is full of surprises. It is home to many galaxies with planets and stars of
various size. Among all those galaxies there was one galaxy called the Evil Eye Galaxy, which is
home to Planet X. In fact, billion years ago this planet was only a sphere going through the galaxy
when one day it got caught in the gravitational field of the Black Star. The Black Star rays had some
uncanny effects on the inhabitants of Planet X.
The inhabitants of this planet are called the Zords. They were nocturnal creatures who survived by
consuming the energy emitted from Planet X. However, the moment the planet went into orbit around
the black Star, things started to change. The Zords got divided into two groups. The first one stayed on
the surface of the planet surviving by consuming the energy emitted from the Black Star. On the other
hand, the second group crawled underneath the surface surviving through the energy emitted by the
planet.

The Passionate Subject of Religious Liberty Essay
The concept of religious liberty is at the core of global attention in recent times in the light of religious
extremities in different aspects of national existence. The subject of religious liberty is a particularly
touchy and sensitive issue as it evokes passion, devotion and unbridled allegiance amongst adherents
of various religious beliefs. Although an aspect of the broad concept of human liberties and equality, it
is a subject which commands special attention as religious tenets play a vital role in defining certain
liberties and equalities in various societies.
Gender inequality for instance is an integral part of certain religious beliefs which subjugate females

For instance, the trend towards criminalization of homosexuality in most African countries is
predicated on the prohibition of such sexual orientation and practice by Christianity and Islamic

Regardless of which ideology a state adopts, a common issue which arises is the protection of
religious liberty of the people of the state. Religious liberty simply means the freedom of citizens to
practice their chosen religion without fear, harassment, or suppression either by virtue of state policy
or as a result of religious intolerance by fellow citizens or groups. Religious intolerance is a constant
problem in most countries of the world today as adherents of various religious beliefs attempt to
suppress adherents of other religious under the misguided belief of the superiority of their religious
belief over others. Such religious Nazism based on misguided claims to superiority of particular
religions have wreaked havoc in places such as the Balkans where genocide was committed on
religious basis and even the Hindu Islamic strife in India and Myanmar have deep rooted religious
colorations arising from religious intolerance by adherents of different religious beliefs.
In non secular states, religious liberties of citizens are restricted and curtailed in favour of the state
religion adopted. In such states, the struggle for religious liberty is a constant battle

The Investigation Of Vanadium s Redox States
The Investigation of Vanadium s Redox States
Justin Fick
Objective
The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the chemical reactions involved with oxovanadium
ions VO3 and VO2+ to help determine the standard electrode potential for the reaction: VO3− + 4H+
+ e− →VO2+ +2H2O. This procedure helped determine the theoretical Eocell.
Introduction
Vanadium is a transition metal which was explored by Andres Manuel del Rio during 1801 in Mexico.
Vanadium has been cited to be present in over sixty various minerals such as the ore of lead and
vanadium, vanadinite.1 Vanadium is most present in the uranium ores in the United States, where is
commonly found in the presence of sandstones. Vanadium is also settled in coal deposits that are rich

In transition metals the oxidation states can be distinguished by the color they give off due to the
ability for the metal complex to absorb visible light. Common vanadium metal complexes are VO3−
and VO2+ which have oxidation states of V5+ and V4+. Vanadium is able to oxidize and reduce from
each metal complex due to redox reactions with certain chemicals.3 The various oxidations can be
distinguished by their specific given colors yellow (VO3 ) and blue (VO2+). The process in which the
metal complexes oxidize/reduce to each other is through a one step redox reaction1.
VO3− + 4H+ + e− →VO2+ +2H2O (1)
Experimental Procedure
Reduction of VO3
Seven test tubes were labeled numerically with 2 mL of VO3 and H2SO42 added to each tube. A small
pea size portion of solid Na2SO3 was added to the first test tube. Then, 20 drops of distilled water
were added to the second test tube. In the third test tube, 20 drops of (.2 M) NaBr were added. Then,
to drops of (.2 M) NaNO2 were added into the fourth test tube. A small portion of Fe(NH4)2(SO4)2 *
6H2O was added into the fifth test tube. The sixth test tube had 20 drops of (.2 M) H2Cr2O4 added,
where the seventh test tube was the control tube with no additional chemicals added. All the test tubes
were left to react for 3 minutes and then heated in a heated bath for approximately 20 minutes.

wanted her story to inspire others to take action against conversion therapies. She also wanted other

Why Is Malvern Hill Defense Important

The confederate army under the control of General Lee, was set up in various positions around the

under control of General Porter had set the main tempo of defense of the battle (Krick, 2014). The
union only had room for approximately 30 to 35 cannons on the slender crest of the hill. With the
union set up on the slender crest this left the confederates no cover when approaching the exposed hill.
Every time the confederate s infantry approached they were stopped and stalled off in front of the

the unions wall of cannon defense they would face a lot of friendly fire from the confederates cannon

The Strong Urge Of Life Of Pi

From Novel to Film: The Strong Urge to Survive in Life of Pi
The will to live is a strong urge of survival that occurs when one s life is threatened. The novel and
film Life of Pi is about a boy named Piscine Molitor Patel who is lost in the middle of the Pacific
Ocean due to a shipwreck with a 450 pound Bengal Tiger. The theme that fits the novel and film the
best is the will to live. The novel and film effectively prove the theme by using symbols to portray
how badly Pi wants to live. Characterization also plays an important role in proving the theme as the
novel and book show how Pi and his tiger have to change themselves to live. Cinematic techniques
such as different types of camera angles are used as well to prove that the will to live is the essential
theme in the film. In the novel, Yann Martel shows how the camera angles prove what they prove. The
film and novel Life of Pi effectively capture the theme of the will to live by the effective use of
symbolism, characterization, and cinematic techniques.
To start off, the novel Life of Pi displays hope and survival through symbolism using the colour
orange. While Pi is in the ocean, there is orange all around him. Shortly after Pi falls into the ocean
and is swimming, he says that the ocean is black and cold and in rage (Martel 117). As one can
imagine, it s almost impossible to survive in an ocean that is in rage but he gets onto the life boat and
survives. After he

Fieldwork findings: Discussion
Pupil premium:
One core theme that derives from the fieldwork frequently is pupil premium. All respondents were
asked, which policy if any, would you say has been the most effective at promoting educational
attainment among pupils from economically deprived areas? (Question 4). All respondents answered
pupil premium as being the most effective policy. Respondents A, B and D all argued that the extra
funding helped to promote education attainment among pupils from economically deprived
backgrounds through more staff, additional facilities and funds for students. The data drawn from
table 4.2 supports earlier literature on pupil premium.
As previously stated, this extra funding ensures that schools with deprived pupils enroled have enough
resources as tools to succeed in education. Relating back to Table 4.2, respondents A and D both state
funding for staff, this is further supported by Carpenter et al (2013) who argue that the policy
contributes highly to additional staff and teachers have perceived this to be very effective. This is
particularly relevant to aim 3, on the outcomes of policy as additional staff contribute to promoting
educational attainment because it offers deprived pupils with additional support and guidance.
A concern is drawn from the fieldwork by respondent B and C, this ... Show more content on

helping schools to better pupil learning and promote attainment, through additional staff and facilities

Different Types Of Art Is Used Within The Pattern Of The Wood
Intarsia is the woodworking technique that uses varied shapes, sizes and different species of wood that
are fitted together to create a 3 dimensional, mosaic like picture. This type of art is created through the
selection of different types of wood, using their natural grain pattern and color to create variations in
the pattern. The different species and colors of the wood contrasts lights and values. Similarly, grain
gives the art amazing texture and makes it very realistic. Wanting to make an intarsia project, of an
object or animal, you make a pattern of outlines and places you want to shape to look realistic. After
selecting the specific woods to be used within the pattern, each piece of wood is then individually cut,

The Mediterranean world in the Middle Ages was covered in vast woodlands that composed a mixture
of hard and softwood trees. The forests of Italy were abundant and diverse. Wood was a main source
of fuel for most of Europe for generating heat during the harsh winters. This heat was also important
for cooking, firing bricks, ceramics and glass. It was also used in casting and forging a number of
different metals. The building and mining industries relied mainly on the local forests for beams for
bridges, cranes, rafters, ceilings, and doors. A large amount of tree species could not be used for
lumber or heat. These species were used in luxury woodworking. Some examples were sculpture,
furniture, and intarsia decorations.
The word intarsia comes from the Italian word tarsia and intarsiare which means to inlay. It is defined
as a mosaic usually of small pieces of wood which are inserted and glued into hollows of a wooden
support that was popular in the 15th century Italy for decoration featuring especially scrolls,
arabesques, architectural scenes, and flowers (Wilmering). The palette of different of intarsia artist

species of wood for one intarsia decoration. The reason for the different species is the grain, color and

Great Job By All Handling The Guests With Younger Children...
Great Job
What a phenominal message last week and even more, what a great job by all handling the guests with
younger children. We had a record number of youth in the youth services and a record number of 1st
time families. You made them feel welcome and you let them know in a loving way that the message
was for adults. Sever parents chose to bring their children and young adults in to benefit fromhearing
the message and we applaud this. So again, great job.
Please remeber to stay aware for 1st time guests as the enter and to greet them as the enter the
Sanctuary. I know it can be hard to focus on the guest with the incredilbe praise and worship band
playing and it s especially hard when there is a message that we need to hear. This is why we highly
encourage to worship at one service and serve at the other. This allows you to focus on getting fed and
serving without sacrificing either.
You are an amazing team and I am so honored to be serving with you. See you Sunday.
Let this month of service be one of real joy as you serve the One you worship.
It all begins with reflection. There are two parts to this: reflecting ON God and allowing the Spirit of
God to work within us so that we become better reflections OF God.
REFLECT on GOD:
I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember Your miracles of long ago I will meditate
on all Your works and consider all your mighty deeds.

Philanthropy In The United States
People around the world have more interest in protecting their natural rights to freedom and equality.
Furthermore, people make an effort to share their feelings about freedom and equality with neighbors
to make the world better place. As a result, these values like freedom and equality build a culture of
philanthropy in the United States.
Then, what is philanthropy? Philanthropy is a deliberate affection for mankind, shown in contributions
of money, time or work for the benefits of others. It has become a part of daily life in most
industrialized countries. According to a survey conducted by Charity Aid Fund(CAF) in 2011, the
average amount of donation per person was the highest in the United States. To be specific, two third

First of all, freedom is the state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical
restraint. People have tried to exercise the right of freedom, not only for themselves but also others.
For example, the True Colors Fund works to end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender youth, creating a world in which young people can be their true selves in freedom. This
organization believes that everyone should have freedom to do whatever they want and if they cannot

Comparing and Contrasting Juror 3 and Juror 8 from Twelve...
In the play Twelve Angry men , the story line presents a variety of perspectives and opinions between
twelve very different men. Some are more likely to be pointed out as prejudice, and others are more
focused on reaching fair justice. Clearly, it is quite difficult for different people to vote guilty or not
guilty in unity when coming to a fair decision. In all of the twelve jurors, I have chosen Juror 3 and
Juror 8 for contrast and comparison. I believe that Juror number 3 is a very opinionated man, with
more differences than similarities comparing with Juror number 8.
These two jurors are almost the plain opposite of each other. Juror 3 appears to be a very intolerant
man accustomed of forcing his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Juror 3 was basing his failed relationship with his son on the accused boy. The reason that he had such
a bad relationship with his son is because when the boy was young, he ran away from a fight and Juror
3 said: I m going to make a man out of you or I m going to bust you up into little pieces trying . Later
on, when his son was older, they got into a fight and Juror 3 hasn t seen him since. This experience
probably left him the impression that all kids take their loved ones for granted, and that they deserve
severe punishments. Juror 3 is not the type to provide the sharpest evidence or information, but he is
very determined to prove that the accused really did murder the victim. Juror 8 practically gives
nothing away about his real life, probably because he did not want to add his own prejudices to the
case. Juror 3 gave both his ill mannered personality and bigotry away in the play.
Indeed, Juror 3 and 8 have individual outlooks on the case, but I believe that even between these two
diverse people, there are is one strong similarity, and that would have to be persistency. In the whole
play, the strongest collisions of disputes were between Juror 3 and 8. Their conflicting perspectives
and powerful determinations were what drove the decision of the fate of the accused. In general, these
two jurors have strong point of views on how the boy should be treated and why. Even with this
similarity, they still use their persistency in diverse

further increased with the wave of globalization which has promoted trade across borders. This trend
has raised the quality standards as the consumers are aware of their rights on the manufacturers and
the society. Every year, brands of the years are awarded to the most successful and favorite
organizations of the world in every industry. This paper is about BMW, one of the best global brands
in the modern 21st century (Interbrand, 2012). BMW is a brand of vehicles which is considered a
symbol of quality and status among its customers (Gantriis, 2008). The brand offers variety of
products ranging from motorcycles to cars. The brand is famous for high quality engines installed in
the BMW vehicles. The reason of engine strength lies in the fact that the idea of BMW car
manufacturing was conceived from the practice of producing aircraft engines. There was a time when
BMW was only an engine manufacturer and the engines were installed in various vehicles. The
success in the field of powerful engines led BMW to start its own manufacturing plant for vehicles.

Analysis of Act Three Scene Five of William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet William Shakespeare s
Romeo and Juliet is a dramatic tragedy, and was first performed in 1595. The novel is about two
young lovers, Romeo Juliet and the struggle with their relationship. Romeo and Juliet are from
opposing families, the Montagues and the Capulets. The conflict between their two families causes
problems for their love of one another. Shakespeare s main themes throughout the play are of love,
conflict and of youth versus age. The scene that we are analysing, Act 3 Scene 5 is one of the most
important scenes in the novel. This is mainly because; the character of Juliet is developed

They understand Juliet s problem. Juliet then says, He shall not make me a joyful bride, she says this
but does not give a reason why, even though the audience know it is because she is deeply in love with
Romeo and not Paris. Juliet then goes on to say I will not marry yet, and when I do, I swear It shall be
Romeo, Lady Capulet does not know that Juliet is already married to Romeo but the audience do
know. This makes the audience aware of the relationship between Juliet and her mother, they are not
close at all and Juliet does not think twice about lying to her. Also, when Lord Capulet is shouting at
Juliet that she must marry Paris on Thursday, the nurse says God in heaven bless her. The nurse is
telling Lord Capulet to stop shouting at Juliet, just because she does not want to marry yet. She says
this even though she knows Juliet does not want to marry Paris because she is already married to
Romeo. Lord Capulet does not know this. The effect of dramatic irony is that one character does not
know what is going on while the audience do. This makes the audience more aware of what is going
on in the scene. It also shows the gaps in people s relationships, such as Juliet and her mother.
Shakespeare s uses of language are very important throughout Act 3 Scene 5. When Juliet is talking to
her mother about the death of Tybalt and about Romeo, she uses words that can mean two things.

The Issue Of Teen Suicide
Everyday, I think why I m still here. Amanda Michelle Todd September 7, 2012. What if your friend
wanted to commit suicide? What s the first thing you would do? Scream? Cry? Help? Many people
wish they had helped their friend after they commit suicide. Being the victim is scary, being the
witness is scarier, and being the bystander is the scariest. Suicide has been a problem for a very long
time. It can be caused by stress, anxiety, bullying, and mental illnesses.
Teen suicide is a huge problem because there are so many situations that can stress you out and just
make you give up, especially as a teen. Almost everyone has or will have a story at some point in their
life involving suicide. Not only are the victims affected, but the people around them. Some people
hide this because they are ashamed but once one person commits suicide in a family it is likely
someone else will.
This paper is about three things. 1. The history and background of teen suicide. 2. The short and long
term effects of teen suicide. Last but not least, 3. Solutions to teen suicide.
For the history and background of teen suicide we will talk about what causes a suicidal mindset and
what part of the brain sends suicidal signals. In the short and long term effects it will talk about how
teen suicide affects the parents emotions. In the solutions it will talk about what social media
influences the teens.

Benefits of Technology Incorporation into a Classroom Setting
Today, our society is more technologically advanced than it has ever been, and our schools have
become more technologically progressive over the past few years, but does having technology in the
classroom help or hinder the students from learning? A quote by John Dewey from his book
Democracy and Education stated If we teach today s students as we taught yesterday s, we rob them of
tomorrow. Integrating technology into classrooms is not only essential in preparing the students for the
future, but it is also an effective teaching method. Many surveys and studies have been done about
using technology to teach students. Even as early as 6 years old to college level and the outcomes have
varied, depending on the way it was introduced and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, give a brief description of technological manner in a classroom, allow usage during non
test days for note taking and the penalty of a reduced participation if the technology proves distracting
to the student or his/her peers (Jackson). Another way to ensure that the students are not misusing the
technology is for the teachers to teach the students how to get the most out of it. Most devices can be
connected to the internet and there are almost an infinite number of things that you can do, see, and
use while on there, but if the students spend their time doing assignments, projects and learning new
skills the likelihood of them misusing it will decrease significantly.
Applications on hand held devices such as tablets and iPads have made learning more fun for students.
An app was created for students 8 years or younger, where they can learn early reading skills such as
basic sight words, and they can practice writing and grammar skills while creating their own
interactive stories (Pilgrim, Bledsoe and Reily). Mathematics apps focus on beginning concepts of
math number sense and include diagnostic games to determine the instructional level of each student.
The apps are also available for more advanced concepts. Science apps can do things like turn an iPad
into a telescope where students can explore the stars and planets to

Ethics In The Crucible
In the concept of modernism there are two ethical ideas: theological ethics and humanistic ethics. Two
big influences of Puritan ideology and these ethics were Martin Luther and John Calvin. From them
came the ideas of limited atonement, irresistible grace, and on the opposite side of thought, the idea
that all people were endowed with grace from God. The three works that we read all take these ideas
into account, and the result is a common theme and ethics between the reads. Sinners in the Hands of
an Angry God, The Crucible, and The Scarlet Letter all reflect the concept of theological ethics, or the
idea that what God says must be done regardless of the consequence. Sinners in the Hands of an
Angry God is a sermon by Rev. Jonathan Edwards. In it, Reverend Edwards makes an appeal to
sinners, in this case the Puritans of Enfield, Connecticut, by preaching that God will judge them in a
fearful and powerful way unless they repent. He does this by using the idea of theological ethics to
back up his sermon by opening with a Bible verse that says, Their foot shall slide in due time. He then
goes on to say that the verse threatens the Puritan people with the vengeance of God. In other words, it
is theological ethics because he says that the verse ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he
separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And
there was evening, and there was morning the first day.
The first day. The very beginning of everything, in this old world. The beginning of time, the

that the great and loving creator, with a wonderful purpose in mind, drew near this blacked out planet,

How Does Hurston Use Imagery In Their Eyes Were Watching God
Nature at its Best Throughout Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, multiple
accounts of imagery are present. This imagery includes the use of nature to illustrate how people in the
book see themselves and each other. Nature is universal and powerful, so the author cleverly uses
nature as another way to emphasize the important points she is trying to make. The way Hurston uses
imagery through nature symbolizes the evolution of identity, importance and self appreciation.
Hurston s first use of imagery in the book is seen with the pear tree representing young love,
something that doesn t last forever. Janie is telling her friend, Pheoby, about her time spent around the
blossoming pear tree as a young girl. Hurston uses imagery in this section with the blossoming pear

Janie is not her actual self, but when she at last opens up and lets her tapped soul come out, she
solidifies who she is. Similar to the book, history places freedom as A life of joy and caution, a search

Janie is finding herself, so are many newly freed slaves. They all are just trying to become their

Mark Cuban is a self made billionaire who has made his fortune by his innovating idea; online media.
He was born in July 31, 1958 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, then he grew up in a middle class family.
His grandfather immigrated into the United States from Russia, and from there the Cuban s family
started to develop. Mark was always one step forward, and always saw a way to make money. At a
young age, when he was twelve years old, he sold sets of garbage bags so he can buy the shoes he

world. He moved briefly to California, he studied acting where he appeared in numerous movies.
After his break, he went back to Dallas to work on another business idea. His partner, Todd Wagner,
and Cuban worked on audio broadcast that would transmit live the Indiana Basketball games; the
company was called AudioNet. However, Cuban and Wagner were pleased with radio broadcast, but
they were aimed bigger and decided to video broadcast on the internet. They changed the name of the
company to Broadcast.com in 1998, and they started streaming sports and events on the internet. No
one, before this company, has ever broadcasted live events, so Mark Cuban became a market leader in
the internet broadcasting industry. In 1999 Mark sold the company to Yahoo for $5.7 billion, and then
Mark became a billionaire; his net worth becoming $1.5 billion.

  • 2. Diversity In Canada Diverse cultures has made Canada the best country for foreign immigrants. Canada made a huge impact to the immigrants because the government accepted each of them to live in the country; which gave them the opportunity to re build their lives and status again. Also, Canada has lots of opportunities in terms of jobs and education. Everyone is welcome in Canada. People has diverse cultures, ethnicity, and beliefs, but they are treated equally in Canada. They also do not discriminate each other in terms of their colour, status, class, age, gender, work, and education level. Foreign immigrants have come all over the world to come to Canada; to have a better life and see what Canada can do for them in coming years. To begin with, Canada is known ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Aboriginal people during the 1900s were struggling because government of Canada took away their legal rights and ownership from their homeland. They have suffered from many discrimination, for instance, children were forced to go to residential school and they were not allowed to speak their own language. Also, government did not give them any proper health care and medication; causing the children to die at very young age. Another reason is that when the Europeans bought their land, they promised to give Aboriginal people the rights to go for hunting and fishing, but they did not keep their promised to keep Aboriginal legal rights from their land. Additionally, they had two different government to rule Aboriginal people from the north and south. Basically, in the north, they had the accurate rights for the Aboriginal people, but in the south, federal government was treating Aboriginal people inappropriately; slowly claiming their homeland. The second issue that the Aboriginal people were facing was the ethno cultural groups that came to Canada from different countries across the globe. Since Asians, Ukrainians, Finns, and Norwegians came to Canada, the government have somehow forgotten the Aboriginal people. The government of Canada was focused on the immigration; landing many job opportunities from the people that came from different countries, but unfortunately, Aboriginal people were having so ... • 4. Violence Next Door Analysis The social stratification of people can be affected by many things. In most cases people are affected by economic factors. In class we watched documentaries that shows different economic struggles and other structural inequalities. The documentaries were Violence Next Door: Growing up in the Favelas and The Other Side of Immigration. They both showed different economic factors from different places. One of the documentaries we watched in class called Violence Next Door: Growing up in the Favelas followed teenagers in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Baltimore City, Maryland. The documentary was made to show the lives of teens that live in what people call slums, ghettos, favelas, or the hood. The documentary interviewed several teens about their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This documentary interviewed families from Mexico that have members who crossed the border to The United States to find better labor opportunities. The border has been set to protect illegal immigrants from crossing the border. Despite the protection of the borders, several Mexicans are able to cross by being smuggled in or finding their own way in. They prefer to go to The U.S because they get paid more per hour than they would earn in Mexico. They return after a couple of months and sometimes years, but they cross the border because there are factors in Mexico that drive them away. The economic factors that affects these families are NAFTA, government corruption, and lack of technology and resources. The North American Free Trade Agreement is a treaty between Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The trade agreement made costs of production higher for people in Mexico. Importation of goods such as meats, fruits, and veggies started to come in from the United States and caused loss of businesses in Mexico. The government in Mexico does not provide funding for businesses to grow. Local officials don t share money provided by the government fairly. Subsidy for businesses are difficult to find because their government don t notify people when funding is available. The mayor is corrupted in a way that he bribes others for votes and picks certain people to help. The government is also the reason why there is a lack of technology and resources for businesses to grow. The business owners could not afford the technology for fast production like the United States can provide. These economic factors affects the families that are left behind in Mexico while a member crosses the border. Another existentialist, Karl Jaspers, argues that, free will makes all faith essentially existential. Dostoyevsky uses two contrasting chapters to argue against atheistic existentialism. The Grand Inquisitor is a story written by Ivan Karamazov. In the story, Jesus visits the Spanish Inquisition, but the religious leaders do not want Him there. They claim that they already have freedom, and that His return will take the freedom away. The child sprints over to exhibit with excitement; he notices a red sign stuck the glass of the enclosure which reads, Endangered. Daddy, if the zoo is keeping the tigers in a cage in order to save them, when will they let them back into the wild to live free? Based on statistics from public zoos across America, the unfortunate answer to this question is a resounding Never. It has become noticeably evident that zoos are not a current resource for the protection of rare and endangered species. Animals should not be kept in zoos, because they fail at the conservation of animal species, provide little or no education about habitat and the behavior of animals, and harm the animals physically and mentally. Primarily, zoos fail at the conservation of animal species. Zoos claim that certain species would become extinct if places like zoos did not exist, but they ultimately fail at the conservation of animal species. Animals who are endangered will likely never be released back into natural habitats ( Zoos: Pitiful Prisons par. 9). The Author of Captive Animal Protection Society states, Many zoos have no contact of any kind with any reintroduction program, meaning that once the animals are introduced to zoos, they are likely to remain there. Where this argument usually ends, however, is on the question of violating free will. Whereas some are convinced that making military service mandatory offers good opportunities and promotes national unity, others maintain that it violates free will because it doesn t give them an option. Though I concede that a person might not want to be in the military and shouldn t be forced to, I still insist that making military service mandatory can help people make a better step in life, and promote national unity. When it comes to military promoting nation unity, people don t think of the many ways it can show that our country cares about standing strong together, and making sure that we all stand by one another to fight for this country. • 12. What Is The Truth-Belief-Belief Conceptual Analysis Of... In this paper, I will discuss the truth belief justification conceptual analysis of knowledge, which I will refer to as TBJ, Gettier cases, and an example that refutes TBJ. Conceptual analysis is an analysis of a proposition P with given premises to acquire knowledge of that P. The truth belief justification analysis of knowledge fails to provide sufficient conditions for someone to possess knowledge. For a condition to be necessary, it has to be satisfied to have knowledge of a proposition. If a condition is sufficient, then the person x will have some information to know something about proposition P. Jointly sufficient conditions are conditions that all need to be satisfied together to have knowledge about some P. They are necessary and supposedly jointly sufficient, but Gettier cases prove that extra conditions on top of TBJ are required to be jointly sufficient. The TBJ analysis identifies three conditions that are necessary and supposedly jointly sufficient for some person x to know some proposition P. Truth indicates that the proposition P has to be true. The truth needs to correspond to some true fact that relates to the world, such as that the Earth is round. It is necessary because a proposition P can only be deduced by factual evidence shown to x. However, truth by itself is not sufficient because truth itself is just a random fact. In addition, the person, x, needs to hold some sort of belief in their proposition P. If you do not believe in a proposition P, then it cannot be known, since you will not have any grounds on which to base your knowledge of that P. It is a necessary condition since you can only know what you believe . However, it is not a sufficient condition by itself because a belief is just x s opinion of a subject. Finally, the person, x s belief has to be accompanied by observations from their senses, prior knowledge, or deductive reasoning, which in effect, explains what the justification is. This may come from what people may see with their eyes, or forming a conclusion from previously assumed premises. Justification is a necessary condition because the allegedly known beliefs have to be adequately justified. Fallibility of justification is assumed since no justification can ... The Mediterranean world in the Middle Ages was covered in vast woodlands that composed a mixture of hard and softwood trees. The forests of Italy were abundant and diverse. Wood was a main source of fuel for most of Europe for generating heat during the harsh winters. This heat was also important for cooking, firing bricks, ceramics and glass. It was also used in casting and forging a number of different metals. The building and mining industries relied mainly on the local forests for beams for bridges, cranes, rafters, ceilings, and doors. A large amount of tree species could not be used for lumber or heat. These species were used in luxury woodworking. Some examples were sculpture, furniture, and intarsia decorations. Sever parents chose to bring their children and young adults in to benefit fromhearing the message and we applaud this. So again, great job. You are an amazing team and I am so honored to be serving with you. See you Sunday. Let this month of service be one of real joy as you serve the One you worship. It all begins with reflection. There are two parts to this: reflecting ON God and allowing the Spirit of God to work within us so that we become better reflections OF God. Some are more likely to be pointed out as prejudice, and others are more focused on reaching fair justice. Clearly, it is quite difficult for different people to vote guilty or not guilty in unity when coming to a fair decision. In all of the twelve jurors, I have chosen Juror 3 and Juror 8 for contrast and comparison. The reason that he had such a bad relationship with his son is because when the boy was young, he ran away from a fight and Juror 3 said: I m going to make a man out of you or I m going to bust you up into little pieces trying . Later on, when his son was older, they got into a fight and Juror 3 hasn t seen him since. This experience probably left him the impression that all kids take their loved ones for granted, and that they deserve severe punishments. Juror 3 is not the type to provide the sharpest evidence or information, but he is very determined to prove that the accused really did murder the victim. Juror 8 practically gives nothing away about his real life, probably because he did not want to add his own prejudices to the case. Juror 3 gave both his ill mannered personality and bigotry away in the play. Indeed, Juror 3 and 8 have individual outlooks on the case, but I believe that even between these two diverse people, there are is one strong similarity, and that would have to be persistency. In the whole play, the strongest collisions of disputes were between Juror 3 and 8. Their conflicting perspectives and powerful determinations were what drove the decision of the fate of the accused. In general, these two jurors have strong point of views on how the boy should be treated and why. Even with this similarity, they still use their persistency in diverse ... This makes the audience aware of the relationship between Juliet and her mother, they are not close at all and Juliet does not think twice about lying to her. • 34. Ethics In The Crucible In the concept of modernism there are two ethical ideas: theological ethics and humanistic ethics. Two big influences of Puritan ideology and these ethics were Martin Luther and John Calvin. From them came the ideas of limited atonement, irresistible grace, and on the opposite side of thought, the idea that all people were endowed with grace from God. The three works that we read all take these ideas into account, and the result is a common theme and ethics between the reads. Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, The Crucible, and The Scarlet Letter all reflect the concept of theological ethics, or the idea that what God says must be done regardless of the consequence. Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God is a sermon by Rev. Jonathan Edwards. In it, Reverend Edwards makes an appeal to sinners, in this case the Puritans of Enfield, Connecticut, by preaching that God will judge them in a fearful and powerful way unless they repent. He does this by using the idea of theological ethics to back up his sermon by opening with a Bible verse that says, Their foot shall slide in due time. He then goes on to say that the verse threatens the Puritan people with the vengeance of God. In other words, it is theological ethics because he says that the verse ...
