Cut Of Steak
Cut of Steak People believe that extroverts and introverts are like a cut of steak. People like to believe
that the steak they ordered is very clean and clearly cut; people also consider introverts and extroverts
to have clean cut attributes. Like many, people will believe that introverts do not enjoy people and
only appreciate time with themselves. Also, many people will place extroverts in a group of loud
mouths, people who just want to have an enjoyable time and may not be the most astute. Although
people believe that the qualities of introverts and extroverts are clear cut, there is more to introverts
and extroverts than may meet the eye. After conducting research on introverts and extroverts a reader
gains a much more substantial knowledge of what an introvert and an extrovert really is and why. For
a long time and still today many people believe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When actually science may show that extroverts act the way they do because that is how they have
been neurologically hardwired and is an element of their biology (Holmes, 3). Also people just believe
that extroverts are people who just like to be with people but there is more to this also when in fact
extroverts just make friends easier also when they make friends and when they induce small talk their
brain will shoot them doses of dopamine (Granneman, 4). People also believe that introverts only like
to be with themselves. When in reality introverts need time to be with themselves to refuel from social
gathering because socializing is more effortful and tiring for introverts than extroverts (Granneman,
5). There is also a little science behind why introverts and extroverts act the way they do is because
their brains use different neurotransmitters while extroverts receive dopamine from doing outwardly
attributes introverts receive acetylcholine when they turn

Geico s Modified Rhetorical Approach
Geico s Modified Rhetorical Approach Geico Insurance Company is known for using humorous and
absurd mascots as a main selling point in their advertisements. Mascots that Geico has used in the past
include the infamous Geico gecko, with the mysterious accent and the Geico caveman who seemed to
be a jack of all trades. Geico has recently taken a new approach to advertising their insurance. Authors
of Geico commercials have recently introduced their newest mascot, Mike McGlone, a well known
actor, to play the role of pompous reporter. Through the use of their new character, Geico is able to
able to reach their target audience of anyone that is uninsured by Geico. Geicos new technique of
advertising is based on a heavy use of the pathos appeal to play on the audience s emotions while
using lesser amounts of ethical and logical appeals. This new strategy has proven to be a very effective
method of marketing. The Geico commercial takes place in a dentist s office where a dentist is
performing a cleaning for a patient while watching television. When a Geico Commercial appears on
the TV, the dentist is seemed surprised to hear that, 15 minutes could save you 15 percent or more on
car insurance . The patient in the room responded as if the information was common knowledge and
that a majority of people would be aware of Geico s 15 minute ad. The patient comment acted as a
confirmation to validate Geico s mission statement. The educated dentist felt foolish in front of his

Essay on Georges Auguste Escoffier
REPORT ON: GEORGES AUGUSTE ESCOFFIER
George August Escoffier, later known simply as Auguste Escoffier, was born on October 28, 1846, in
the small village of Villeneuve Loubet, near Nice, in the Provence region of France. Among the key
figures in his life was his father, who worked primarily as a blacksmith, yet also cultivated tobacco
plants. His grandmother, an enthusiastic cook, was perhaps more responsible than anyone for instilling
in young August an appreciation for cooking.
Young Escoffier attended the local school until age 12, upon which time his father thought it necessary
that his son learn a trade. His father took him to Nice, where he would work as an apprentice in his
uncle s restaurant, Le Restaurant Francais.
When ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was during this period when Escoffier began publishing his culinary works. He began with Le
Guide Culinaire in 1903, comprised of over 5,000 recipes and garnish preparations. He also wrote Le
Livre Des Menus ( The Book of Menus ), and Ma Cuisine ( My Cuisine ) in 1934.
In 1920, at the age of 73, Escoffier moved back to Monte Carlo with his wife. His intention was to
retire. However, he continued to work, collaborating and consulting on several projects, including
another casino in Upper Monte Carlo. He died in 1935, at the age of 89, only days after the death of
his wife. Escoffier s most noted career achievements are revolutionizing and modernizing the menu,
the codification of of cooking techniques and the organization of the professional kitchen (Simon,
2001).
I discovered Escoffier when I open Bouchon Bistro Lyonnais, in 1998. I was approached by my
private chef, Thierry Aubert, with a copy of Saveur Magazine, with an article entitled The Bouchons
of Lyon. We traveled to Lyon together, collecting menus from many of the bouchons in Old Lyon.
During that trip I purchased several cook books, one of which was Le Guide Culinaire. It was in that
book that we found most of the recipes for Bouchon s first menu. I have always been drawn to
traditional French cuisine, and this book has been my Bible for years. It was in this book that I learned
about cross utilization of ingredients and sauces. I continue to

Time, Work-Discipline And Industrial Capitalism
In E.P. Thompson s essay Time, Work Discipline, and Industrial Capitalism , he argues how the rise of
standardized time, which coincided with employed labor and capitalism, changed how people view
time from how time passes to time spent . Time became a commodity in which it could be bought and
sold. Time that was not spent properly was considered wasted, which Thompson calls time thrift,
which preindustrial societies were not very preoccupied with in comparison. Thompson explores this
transition of the sense of time in relationship to the Industrial Revolution, benefits and disadvantages
to the new time discipline, and a possible mixture of the old and new time disciplines in the future.
Thompson starts out describing how people measured time before clocks and the Industrial
Revolution. People measured time in units of domestic activities or natural phenomena, which can be
described as task orientation. Thompson considers this type of time measuring to be natural and
believes that a task oriented society results in little distinction between work and life. However, to
people used to timed labor, such an attitude to labor appeared to be wasteful.
When employed labor is involved, productivity in terms of time becomes important, because the
employer generally pays the worker in terms of time. For many jobs, then a shift from task orientation
to timed labor occurs, as the laborer s time becomes the employer s money. Thus, a separation
between work and leisure occurs, as

Queen Elizabeth As A Ruler For England
Even today, there are many who doubt the capability of a woman in a position of authority. When
Elizabeth was appointed the Queen of England in a Constitutional Monarchy, many subjects of the
English state did not respect her. This was in part due to her sister Mary s previous failings as a ruler
for England, as well as misogynistic assumptions about a woman s ability to rule that were especially
prevalent at this time in Western Europe. Throughout her 50 years of reign, Elizabeth not only
managed to assert herself as a cunning and capable leader and Queen, but also gained the love of the
English people. It was through the way Elizabeth saw herself as a religious figure that she
accomplished this feat. Although Queen Elizabeth used masculine traits to assert dominance, she saw
that it was her femininity that gave her the real advantage by creating her image after the Virgin Mary.
Since she began her reign, Queen Elizabeth was highly aware that portraying aspects of masculinity
would be beneficial to gaining the respect of her subjects. When England was awaiting a possible
invasion by the Spanish Armada, the state of England s defenses was poor and the outlook was grim.
In spite of this, Elizabeth personally delivered an inspiring speech to the troops, and in the process
took on a masculine role by doing so. I myself will take up arms, I myself will be your general, judge,
and rewarder ( Speech to the Troops at Tillbury ). She tells her warriors that when they need her the

A Short Note On Earthquake Alarm Structures Of A Wireless...
IV. EARTHQUAKE ALARM STRUCTURES
The earthquake alarm wireless system is divided into two parts,
1) Transmitter part (sends signal) 2) Receiver part (receive signal)
Fig:2 transmitting part of a wireless earthquake system.
Fig:3 receiving part of a wireless earthquake system.
Here, the transmitting part includes the ADXL335 accelerometer which is mainly a analog devices and
generates analog signal. It [6]and compares it with a predetermined threshold value. The signal which
accelerometer generates is analog signal and the microcontroller only functions on digital there is a
ADC which is connected to microcontroller fro this coversion.. The signal generated by a
microcontroller is then send to a Xbee S2.
ADXL335: ADXL335 is a type of 3 axis accelerometer which is very thin, low power and small and
sends voltage outputs to the microcontroller. It is a kind of gadget which can be utilized to recognize
stuns, vibration and it likewise has some different applications, for example, for gaming, cell phones,
picture pivot and cameras.Instead of using some additional temperature circuits in building this system
ADXL335 can be used as it is very efficient and has very less error. It can measure in 3 xis with a
measurement range of ±3g. In this system is connected to ADC pins for analog to digital conversion.
ADC (analog to digital conversion): it is connected so that an analog signal generated from an
accelerometer can be converted to digital

The Ideas Of Regeneration Of Time And Calendrical Rites
The ideas of Regeneration of Time and calendrical rites are very predominately connected when
looking at the Aztec. These two ideass are connected with the Five Suns creation myth and the Aztec
Calendar which in themselves are connected. The idea of Regeneration of Time comes in with the
creation of the 5th Sun by the Aztec gods, which later connects to the Calendric Rites. As said by Karl
Taube From the slaying of the gods at Teotihaucan, the Sun of Motion, Nahui Ollin, is created. Just as
the gods had to sacrifice themselves, so humans must supply their own hearts and blood to ensure that
the fifth sun continues to move in its path. (Aztec and Maya Myths, Page 44) ; which demonstrates the
regeneration and periodic purification aspect, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Aztec calendar consisted consisted of two aspects that when combined worked towards the 52
year cycle, which in our time is equal to a century. The first aspect was a 260 day cycle meant for
counting days while the second was a 365 day cycle that was for counting years, they worked together
like two wheels. The 260 day cycle is used for divination and forms an almanac which is made up of
20 groups of days with names or numbers. After going through the full 260 day cycle the calendar
would be reset. The numbered and named days would also be replaced with a new combination. Each
combination had their own meaning which is why the 260 day aspect was used for divination and
acted as an almanac. The 365 day cycle was used for the cycle of seasonal festivals and was divided
up into 18 months consisted of 20 days of the 260 day cycle. Every 365 day cycle was given a name
with it s own meaning. Depending on the combination the festivals could be directed towards a
multitude of things. As said by Richard F. Townsend As mentioned above, there was an annual cycle
of 18 festivals associated with the eighteen veintena months of the 365 day solar year. These festivals
were basically of three types: those directed to mountains and water in order to ensure rain; those
directed to the earth, the sun, and maize, to ensure fertility, those directed to special deities,
particularly those identified as patrons of different community groups or of the community as a whole.

Proposal For The Legal File Sharing Access For Students
Memo
Date: August 7, 2015
To: Kathleen M. Knutzen, Vice President of Academic Affairs California State University Bakersfield
From: Puji Inverso P. I.
Subject: Proposal for the legal file sharing access for students
Purpose
The purpose of this proposal is to request Kathleen M. Knutzen, Vice President of Academic Affairs to
give the approval for a comprehensive study regarding the file sharing accessibility from the library s
database in order to establish whether considering a reduction in the library s journal budget to
subsidize legal file sharing access is a feasible option or not.
Summary
CSUB has been purchasing journals for a very long time. However, it does not provide legal sharing
access for its students. The purpose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The legal file sharing access for students will be of a great benefit to both the students and the
institution at large. It simply means accessibility of first hand information from credible resources by
each and every student at the institution. The proposal will focus on the possibility of subsidizing the
legal file sharing access at the cost of the library s journal budget reduction.
The proposal will include a three day research, which will be conducted by myself. It will engage
students, teachers, and the dean of the library as study samples to gather relevant information
concerning the viability of the proposed subsidization and what it will mean to diverse stakeholders in
the institution.
The following are four questions of the further research:
1. How do the students view the approach? Do they consider it academically strategic? Or do they
prefer it just the way it is?
2. How will the legal file sharing access for students benefit students and teachers at large?
3. Will the protocol of setting up the legal file sharing require a lot of investment? If yes, what is the
cost of operating and maintaining the database?
4. How long will it take to set up the legal file sharing point?
Proposed Tasks
With your approval, I will address the following six tasks in order of succession to establish whether
considering a reduction in the library s journal budget to subsidize the

The Valuation Implications Of Enterprise Risk Management
The Valuation Implications of Enterprise Risk Management Maturity by Mark Farrell and Ronan
Gallagher seeks to prove that firms who integrate the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process
tend to enhance their value by recognizing risk. This article states that enterprises will be subject to
many risks and that the goal of ERM is to model, measure, analyze, and respond to these risks in a
holistic manner (p. 625). As defined by the Casualty Actuarial Society (2003) ERM is the discipline
by which an organization in any industry assesses, controls, exploits, finances and monitors risks from
all sources for the purpose of increasing the organization s short and long term value to its
stakeholders . The value of a firm was found by analyzing the ERM maturity assessment score by
using the Risk and Insurance Management Society Risk Maturity Model (RIMS RMM), which is
commonly known and esteemed. This was done to provide evidence that companies who incorporate
the ERM process tend to add value to their company. This is important because as the article states,
the premise of ERM has only been in existence for just over 10 years, and therefore research is
extremely limited in regards to how to measure the full effect of ERM on a firm. This article seeks to
discuss the value of ERM and how it has evolved, the data and model used to confirm the value of
ERM, and then it concludes with the observed results. Summary Lead article This study seeks to build
on the fact that there is

The Messenger Techniques
Marcus Zusak s techniques he employs in The Messenger significantly reflects how the reader views
The Messenger. Marcus Zusak firstly uses personification frequently in The Messenger. The reason it
is an important technique is because it gives the reader new ideas. He secondly uses humor recurrently
in the novel. This then gives the reader some enjoyment in the book and not just always fear and
sadness. He thirdly uses a technique that not many authors use in their novels where he incorporates
himself into the novel and that then triggers different ideas in the readers mind on what is reality and
what is a book. The way Zusak writes and what techniques he integrates into the novel then gives
more enjoyment to the reader.
The main idea that Zusak employs is the use of personification and how that increased the readers
enjoyment of the novel. For example, when Zusak uses personification when the deck of cards is some
one s life. For example, each suite in the deck is a different event in their life. in the novel each suite is
a different chapter, the spades in real life mean death and in the novel on the Spades chapter someone
dies. At the Chapter of the Joker which is end of the novel where Ed is free to do what every he likes.
The reason why the chapter is under the joker is because it is usually the wild card in real life card
game where you be any card you like. So, in the final event of the novel Ed is granted ... Show more

Implementation Of Canter s Behavior Management Plan
Implementation of Canter s Behavior Management Plan: Case Study
Tywon S. Thomas
EDU 536
5/19/2014
Introduction: Case Study
There are many different misbehaviors that a teacher may encounter from his or her students if an
effective classroom management plan is not put in place at the beginning of a new school term or year.
Canter s assertive discipline is based mainly on fair rules and negative consequences (Ellis, David W.
1995). The implementation of an effective plan will cut down on off task behaviors and will make way
for more time to be spent on promotion of a stimulating learning environment. There are several
behavior management plans from which educators can choose; the problem sometimes comes in
choosing one that fits well with the students in the class. Additionally, educators have to remember
that the same behavior management plan may not work from teacher to teacher, and better yet, the
plan which is suitable for their first period class, may not work well with students in fourth period.
After the narrowing down and tailoring process of finding a suitable plan to fit individual classroom
needs, then the key to making sure it is a great classroom management plan is consistency which
begins from the day the plan is implemented until the end of the school term.
During this case study, the Canter Behavior Management Method, also known as the Assertive
Discipline method, created by Lee and Marlene Canter, is used to assist a teacher, with a

Throughout the history of America issues around race have brought great debate and augments. Being
a nation birth from ideals of freedom and undeniable human rights America has failed in being truthful
to its founding. The treatment of African American is an atrocity that stains the history of our nation s

the State of Minnesota and many head government officials in the Minnesota Department of

unequal schools break the Education Clause of the constitution of Minnesota which required the state
to give all students equal public education. Along with breaking the Constitution of Minnesota, the
segregated schools of Minneapolis and St. Paul violate the Minnesota Human Rights Act, which states
it is unlawful to discriminate education on base of race and socioeconomic standing. The inaction of
the State of Minnesota is a violation of the rights of the children of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Response To The Blank Page

Unit 1 Response: On Storytelling We all commonly assume that we act freely, that we make our own
decisions without regard to the opinions of those around us. We all like to think we create our own
stories, and choose the way we tell them. However, many of us are probably at least tempted to
wonder if this a thing completely within our control, how much of it is, and how we can resist
attempts of others to write our stories for us, regardless of what we actually desire. Particularly when
it comes to women, the society around us is very sure of what it wants our stories to be, and who
should tell them and when. This is, of course, a process that begins early. As Foss, ... Show more

It is, of course, a story about storytelling, particularly the oral story telling through which humans
have passed down most of our stories for most of our history. Women in particular, even after the
advent of mass literacy, were barred for much of our history from education (and therefore the ability
to read), have been historically the torch bearers of oral culture. After all, garrulousness and gossip are
still stereotypes almost exclusively attributed to women. Of course an anti woman society sees these
qualities as bad things, rather than a means of shaping our reality and connecting to the people around
us, of forming and maintaining communities. The Blank Page is another tale in which a woman tries
to write her own story, despite the considerable pressures of royal life encroaching in upon her. Her
blank page represents the willingness of many women to resist the attempts to tell or change their
stories. Silence will speak says the old woman. Surely this nameless princess was shunned by some
and scorned by others, those who tried to use such disapproval to make her change her story. I myself
find comfort in the telling of her story by this mysterious old woman, comfort in the idea that stories
of women inimical to what men and society have to say about us can be preserved, if only through
word of mouth, by other

The Last Judgement By Selma Burke Analysis
Together designed by Selma Burke is the piece of artwork that will be analyzed in this paper. This
piece of artwork is created to represent a message, but speaks so much more on a deeper level. For
example, the piece speaks to deeper level because of the first fact that Selma Burke background began
as an artist that spoke for the African American culture. At the time she was advocating for African
Americans she also was a practicing artist and teacher.
This piece in particular is very sentimental to the Hill District which is located in Pittsburgh, because
it was hung on the wall of the Hill Association for a period of time starting in the year of 1975. Selma
Burke s Together became her retirement piece, however, this piece was the beginning for the legacy
she had left behind. In this reflection, the piece Together will be depicted for meaning and described
for content, structure, subject matter and form and furthermore be compared and contrasted with
another artwork, The Last Judgement by Gilbertus.

I want to draw attention to this piece because it resembles ideas and emotions, like I had experienced
with Together. The whole idea to this particular piece is that it was meant to speak of a message. The
message is in the title, so it was made to portray a last message to the people. The Last Judgment is a
stone sculpture that was placed in the beginning of church. It was meant for people to see what the
forms of an afterlife where they could end up if they belief in an afterlife, which is a Christian belief.
This would support the statement that both pieces of artwork had a hidden message displayed through
both of them. One has a message to the people of the church, while the other piece speaks to a

Effects Of Kwanzaa On African Americans
Kwanzaa is a holiday that helps African Americans of all religions reconnect. This festival helps
African Americans recognize their struggles as people, and it reinforces the Seven Principles, known
as Nguzo Saba. It is based from December 26th to January 1st. This holiday is also based on the
African harvest celebrations. This holiday was first created in 1966, during the Civil Rights
Movement, by Dr. Maulana Ron Karenga. 2016 is the 50th anniversary of the holiday. Even after 50
years, not many African Americans actually celebrate the holiday. But this holiday is not only for
African Americans: everyone can celebrate it! The holiday Kwanzaa was created in 1966 to help

Why are so many people against LGBT adoption? People says bought good and bad thing about

All The Queen s Children Essay
Dr. Carole Levin outlines the aspects of Queen Elizabeth I s social perception as mother of her nation
and the Virgin Queen in her article All the Queen s Children: Elizabeth I and the Meaning of
Motherhood. I agree with Levin s analysis of Elizabeth s use of her public image as a political tool in
the examples she gives, and I extend her argument to Elizabeth s speeches and writings. Levin argues
that the inflammatory topic of Elizabeth s virginity and rumored children plagued her because she was
a powerful woman. Virginity and motherhood are both states of purity: motherhood is a purity of love,
and virginity is a purity of sexuality and spirituality. Both of these traits are ideal in the traditional
model of womanhood, but not seen as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I believe Levin is correct in emphasizing Elizabeth s maturity in handling the irrationality of the
public, and I add that one of Elizabeth s tactics to maintain her image was publishing her poetry.
Elizabeth s poem On Monsieur s Departure not only garners sympathy from readers, but also works in
her favor as a ruler. Instead of portraying herself as rigid and rejecting marriage entirely, Elizabeth
humanizes herself to the public by writing about the pain of a lost love. Revealing her romantic
emotions while ultimately never marrying conveys a clear message to her subjects: Elizabeth will only
marry if it is beneficial or necessary to them, even if it hurts her heart to refuse. Elizabeth reveals her
pain when she does not marry the subject of the poem because it was not in the kingdom s best
interest, and plays to stereotypes about women s emotional and romantic nature, supporting Levin s
observation of her social

Water Pollution in Lake Huron
Water Pollution on Lake Huron
Water Pollution on Lake Huron
Introduction
Pollution is the presence of dangerous and unwanted substances in the ecosystem that causes
imbalance and health hazards to the living. Water pollution is the presence of unwanted substances or
particles in water, which causes imbalance in water systems. Lake Huron is among the largest fresh
water sources in the States located in North America. Lake Huron is one of the most polluted fresh
water lakes in America. It covers about 189 000 kilometers squared, and it is a component of the
Lauretian Great Lakes. It drains to the Atlantic Ocean through St. Lawrence River. It receives an
inflow from Lake Michigan and Lake Superior, while it drains to Lake Erie. The population
surrounding the lake is about 3 million, which also contribute to its pollution (Ylvisaker 28). Pollution
of Lake Huron has been over the years either through direct point sources or through non point
indirect sources (Saxena 1116). Direct point sources include sewage treatment firms and industries,
which direct their wastes directly into Lake Huron and its tributaries. Nonpoint sources indirectly
pollute water from the Lake, and majorly caused by man s activities and land policies applied by the
man.
Sources of pollution The major source of pollution in Lake Huron is the sewage. Sewage treatment
firms release their wastes directly into the Lake, and may contain harmful substances such as mercury,
lead and magnesium, if released

is described as the Golden Triangle , between Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga, therefore is seen as
an ideal location for growth hub and port facilities, due to the access between ports of Auckland and
Tauranga (Tainui Group Holdings 2016). This area is located within the urban rural fringe, across 822

according to the operative district plan rules. This develops the issue of the plan change through Tainui
Group Holdings Limited and Chedworth Properties Limited aiming to proceed with development of

Direct Consumer Pharmaceutical Advertising ( Dtcpa )
Direct to consumer pharmaceutical advertising (DTCPA), defined as an effort (usually via popular
media) made by a pharmaceutical company to promote ... prescription products directly to patients, is
a common practice and an important issue that impacts the health of U.S. citizens, the prices of
prescription drugs and health care, and doctor patient relationships (Ventola). This paper will discuss
the historical and political lens of DTCPA: how and why changes to DTCPA were made in the past,
how current politics suggests a possible change to decrease or limit future DTCPA could be
accomplished, and specific regulatory aspects that require more attention. This is important because in
order to propose reasonable changes, we need to understand which would likely succeed in the near
future and which are most needed. First of all, understanding the significant roles of culture and the
political groups in changing DTCPA s history can help us understand how and why future changes
might be accomplished. Culture has been a driving force throughout DTCPA s history. Julie Donohue,

For a business to succeed in today s global economy, it takes more than opening doors, turning on

Themes In Educating Rita
Tajanay Keaton Chesson
November 28, 2017
Extra Credit: Educating Rita
In the film, Educating Rita, the life of a young working class woman dreams of pursuing an English
literature degree to help her gain social mobility. Rita, a 26 year old blue collar Liverpool hairdresser,
meets an English tutor, Dr. Frank Bryant in hopes that she would discover and experience true
happiness. Dr. Bryant is a wealthy alcoholic academic who suffers from low self esteem and
confidence and would eventually fall in love with Rita s unwitty ability to adapt to academia life and
her continuous commitment to change and grow as a writer. This an example of how blue collar
workers are identified to be more independent, natural, and spontaneous people compared to white
collar workers. Generally, we think of blue collar workers as less organized than white collar workers
regarding student success. The film relates to the book Unequal Childhoods: Class, Race, and Family
Life, where Annette Lareau believes that a family s social class position predicts an individual school
success and their ultimate life chances (Lareau, 2003, p. 29). Lareau (2003) highlights three reasons
why social class matters for blue collar workers, one is the organization of daily life, the second is
language use, and the third is interactions between families and institutions (p. 11). Working class or
blue collar workers tend to communicate poorly compared to white collar workers. The central

Speech On Homeschooling
¨Homeschooling is a middle ground for parents who do not want their children in public school, but
do not want to or cannot pay the price of private or charter schools¨ (The City Writes). There are
approximately 2.2 million students in the U.S. that are being homeschooled, of that number only a
handful of them go to college. Homeschooling was originally for students with disabilities, but is no
longer used solely for that purpose. Although homeschooling may be central to a busy child s life, it
should be eliminated because it minimizes the range of information in daily lessons, strains
relationships between students and teachers, and eradicates social skills.

Stated in an article on Shmoop, you ll [parents] be adding teacher, guidance counselor, and principal.
Even if you take the most carefree unschooling approach possible, at some point along the way, you
will likely have to act in one or all of these roles to help your child learn a new concept or make a
decision about her future. This undoubtedly proves that children should attend school and not
homeschool as it can ruin relations for them and future generations in their family. This why you
should never homeschool any children regardless of their issues. In yet another article written by
Sagari Gongala she states, When you choose to homeschool, you are doubling up as a teacher. So you
are going to spend all your waking time with the child on a school day. Public schools allow you to be
just a mom . Another valid point of why children should not be homeschooled is because it not only
helps the kids to gain social skills, but it gives parents a period of time to relax. Which definitely
proves why children should never homeschool since it can truly affect how kids will behave, as well
as their confidence. Public school helps alleviate tension between students and teachers while also
allowing students the freedom of friendship and

Analysis Of V For Vendetta By James Mcteigue
It s a title with a strong letter used as somewhat like a alliteration to exaggerate the ideas within this
film, V for Vendetta , directed by James McTeigue, this defines what the true meaning of injustice
which seems to be over exaggerated through action, sci fi and thriller scenes. V for Vendetta is a type
of film where in a future, where there was a British tyranny or corruption in the government, a

message of the best advice is to stop fighting it and embrace the fact that you have been given an
opportunity if you chose to view it with a different set of eyes. And yet there will be many who miss
this opportunity as they feel a false sense of security operating in the belief systems that harbor fear,
anger and hate rather than letting go to face the very emotions that enslave them. This film uses fancy
quotes or catch phrases, with a strong act of violence in acting around the main character(s), especially
the protagonist V and to the eventuality, Evey at the end of the story. Special effects and the fanatical
costume visuals (with the famous Guy Fawkes mask) all is used intently to make the audience with a

recently able to locate methane clathrate, more commonly known as fire ice. Despite the name
existing as an oxymoron, many believe this hydrate could prove to be the savior for the earth s fuel
problems. However, given current research this supposedly useful source of natural gas could prove
even more detrimental towards the environment than carbon dioxide. What must first be noted is that

Increase in temperature or a drop in pressure would cause it to dissociate rapidly, causing the ice to
melt allowing the release gas, which would cause problems not only towards global warming, but also
their solid existence makes them a source of support. With the release of gas the support would be lost
and cause landslides that would severely damage the production equipment and existing pipelines. Not
only that, but melting a single cubic meter block of this ice would release 160 cubic meters of harmful
methane, which is much worse than carbon dioxide ( Methane Hydrate , 2014). Any form of retrieval
technology used must be careful to capture all the gas, especially those found in the Arctic, because if
that reserve is lost, it would continually discharge gas for an unknown amount of time, and as noted

The Life of Amelia Earhart

women played a largely secondary role in American, Amelia Earhart took a leading position in the
developing field of aviation and, in doing so; she displayed an adventurous spirit that proved to be
inspirational for several generations of Americans. Earhart was born in Atchison, Kansas on July 24,

Muriel, with whom she was very close. After high school, Earhart worked as a nurse s aide in

Geoffrey began to read off lineage that most nobles in Camelot knew by heart, until he came to the
one that Merlin both anticipated and feared. The warlock was trembling, as he awaited the signal from

Causes Of Animal Mummification
Mummies, labyrinthine like tombs of past kings, and a plethora of anthropomorphic animal gods
remain the most prominent and iconic images of ancient Egypt in many people s minds even in the
present day. Those common images have shaped the idea that ancient Egypt was obsessed with death.
A mindset like that is understandable due to the high amount of gods the ancient Egyptians had
dedicated to death and the afterlife#. However, the ancient Egyptians did not worship death. They
merely required more odd sounding traditions to be followed due to their religion. For example,
burying their personal belongings including food and pets, or more iconic, the preservation of bodies
by mummification if possible. Perhaps explaining the method and various reasons for mummification
and other topics surrounding it will show that the ancient Egyptians were not a civilization that
worshiped death, and that they simply followed these in some ways strange religious traditions in an
attempt to rest in peace. There is one type of mummification that most people may not know about.
That type is animal mummification#. There are multiple reasons ancient Egyptians mummified
animals. Some Egyptians wanted their pets to be buried with them, that meant mummification if they
could afford it. The other main reason for animal mummification is for offerings to the different gods
in the Egyptian pantheon. When an Egyptian offered a mummified animal to a god, the idea was that
the creature would go and

Although conformity and compliance are relatively similar, they too, have differences. Compliance is
a specific response to a specific request, while conformity generally involves unspoken pressure to
behave in a particular manner. Generally, compliance involves request which could be explicit such as
using the foot in the door technique. Most of the time, in compliance, the child is told to respond or
complete the task told in a desirable manner; while in conformity, a person is expected to behave in a
particular manner (Cialdini and Trost, 1998).
Compliance plays a major role in building and maintaining relationships where children learn to
behave in a certain manner to maintain status quo (Cialdini and Trost, 1998). When we comply with
an instruction, we receive praises, or lavished with social acceptance and gifts. By doing so, the
children feel accepted, wanted and loved by other peers. In a way, compliance acts as a form of
conditioning the behavior expected from their peers (Cialdini and Trost, 1998).
It is easy to view compliance as a form of concession due to the obligation children might have
towards their peers. Studies have found that with compliance, children tend to bend towards peer
pressure and it has a significant effect towards negative behavior (Adams et al, 2000; Fanti and
Henrich, 2010). This isn t surprising, as children

  • 2. Cut Of Steak Cut of Steak People believe that extroverts and introverts are like a cut of steak. People like to believe that the steak they ordered is very clean and clearly cut; people also consider introverts and extroverts to have clean cut attributes. Like many, people will believe that introverts do not enjoy people and only appreciate time with themselves. Also, many people will place extroverts in a group of loud mouths, people who just want to have an enjoyable time and may not be the most astute. Although people believe that the qualities of introverts and extroverts are clear cut, there is more to introverts and extroverts than may meet the eye. After conducting research on introverts and extroverts a reader gains a much more substantial knowledge of what an introvert and an extrovert really is and why. For a long time and still today many people believe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also people just believe that extroverts are people who just like to be with people but there is more to this also when in fact extroverts just make friends easier also when they make friends and when they induce small talk their brain will shoot them doses of dopamine (Granneman, 4). People also believe that introverts only like to be with themselves. When in reality introverts need time to be with themselves to refuel from social gathering because socializing is more effortful and tiring for introverts than extroverts (Granneman, 5). There is also a little science behind why introverts and extroverts act the way they do is because their brains use different neurotransmitters while extroverts receive dopamine from doing outwardly attributes introverts receive acetylcholine when they turn ... • 3. Geico s Modified Rhetorical Approach Geico s Modified Rhetorical Approach Geico Insurance Company is known for using humorous and absurd mascots as a main selling point in their advertisements. Mascots that Geico has used in the past include the infamous Geico gecko, with the mysterious accent and the Geico caveman who seemed to be a jack of all trades. Geico has recently taken a new approach to advertising their insurance. Authors of Geico commercials have recently introduced their newest mascot, Mike McGlone, a well known actor, to play the role of pompous reporter. Through the use of their new character, Geico is able to able to reach their target audience of anyone that is uninsured by Geico. Geicos new technique of advertising is based on a heavy use of the pathos appeal to play on the audience s emotions while using lesser amounts of ethical and logical appeals. This new strategy has proven to be a very effective method of marketing. The Geico commercial takes place in a dentist s office where a dentist is performing a cleaning for a patient while watching television. When a Geico Commercial appears on the TV, the dentist is seemed surprised to hear that, 15 minutes could save you 15 percent or more on car insurance . The patient in the room responded as if the information was common knowledge and that a majority of people would be aware of Geico s 15 minute ad. The patient comment acted as a confirmation to validate Geico s mission statement. The educated dentist felt foolish in front of his patient ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Essay on Georges Auguste Escoffier REPORT ON: GEORGES AUGUSTE ESCOFFIER George August Escoffier, later known simply as Auguste Escoffier, was born on October 28, 1846, in the small village of Villeneuve Loubet, near Nice, in the Provence region of France. Among the key figures in his life was his father, who worked primarily as a blacksmith, yet also cultivated tobacco plants. His grandmother, an enthusiastic cook, was perhaps more responsible than anyone for instilling in young August an appreciation for cooking. Young Escoffier attended the local school until age 12, upon which time his father thought it necessary that his son learn a trade. His father took him to Nice, where he would work as an apprentice in his uncle s restaurant, Le Restaurant Francais. When ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was during this period when Escoffier began publishing his culinary works. He began with Le Guide Culinaire in 1903, comprised of over 5,000 recipes and garnish preparations. He also wrote Le Livre Des Menus ( The Book of Menus ), and Ma Cuisine ( My Cuisine ) in 1934. In 1920, at the age of 73, Escoffier moved back to Monte Carlo with his wife. His intention was to retire. However, he continued to work, collaborating and consulting on several projects, including another casino in Upper Monte Carlo. He died in 1935, at the age of 89, only days after the death of his wife. Escoffier s most noted career achievements are revolutionizing and modernizing the menu, the codification of of cooking techniques and the organization of the professional kitchen (Simon, 2001). I discovered Escoffier when I open Bouchon Bistro Lyonnais, in 1998. I was approached by my private chef, Thierry Aubert, with a copy of Saveur Magazine, with an article entitled The Bouchons of Lyon. We traveled to Lyon together, collecting menus from many of the bouchons in Old Lyon. During that trip I purchased several cook books, one of which was Le Guide Culinaire. It was in that book that we found most of the recipes for Bouchon s first menu. I have always been drawn to traditional French cuisine, and this book has been my Bible for years. It was in this book that I learned about cross utilization of ingredients and sauces. I continue to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Time, Work-Discipline And Industrial Capitalism In E.P. Thompson s essay Time, Work Discipline, and Industrial Capitalism , he argues how the rise of standardized time, which coincided with employed labor and capitalism, changed how people view time from how time passes to time spent . Time became a commodity in which it could be bought and sold. Time that was not spent properly was considered wasted, which Thompson calls time thrift, which preindustrial societies were not very preoccupied with in comparison. Thompson explores this transition of the sense of time in relationship to the Industrial Revolution, benefits and disadvantages to the new time discipline, and a possible mixture of the old and new time disciplines in the future. Thompson starts out describing how people measured time before clocks and the Industrial Revolution. People measured time in units of domestic activities or natural phenomena, which can be described as task orientation. Thompson considers this type of time measuring to be natural and believes that a task oriented society results in little distinction between work and life. However, to people used to timed labor, such an attitude to labor appeared to be wasteful. When employed labor is involved, productivity in terms of time becomes important, because the employer generally pays the worker in terms of time. For many jobs, then a shift from task orientation to timed labor occurs, as the laborer s time becomes the employer s money. Thus, a separation between work and leisure occurs, as ... • 6. Queen Elizabeth As A Ruler For England Even today, there are many who doubt the capability of a woman in a position of authority. When Elizabeth was appointed the Queen of England in a Constitutional Monarchy, many subjects of the English state did not respect her. This was in part due to her sister Mary s previous failings as a ruler for England, as well as misogynistic assumptions about a woman s ability to rule that were especially prevalent at this time in Western Europe. Throughout her 50 years of reign, Elizabeth not only managed to assert herself as a cunning and capable leader and Queen, but also gained the love of the English people. It was through the way Elizabeth saw herself as a religious figure that she accomplished this feat. Although Queen Elizabeth used masculine traits to assert dominance, she saw that it was her femininity that gave her the real advantage by creating her image after the Virgin Mary. Since she began her reign, Queen Elizabeth was highly aware that portraying aspects of masculinity would be beneficial to gaining the respect of her subjects. When England was awaiting a possible invasion by the Spanish Armada, the state of England s defenses was poor and the outlook was grim. In spite of this, Elizabeth personally delivered an inspiring speech to the troops, and in the process took on a masculine role by doing so. I myself will take up arms, I myself will be your general, judge, and rewarder ( Speech to the Troops at Tillbury ). She tells her warriors that when they need her the ... These two ideass are connected with the Five Suns creation myth and the Aztec Calendar which in themselves are connected. The idea of Regeneration of Time comes in with the creation of the 5th Sun by the Aztec gods, which later connects to the Calendric Rites. As said by Karl Taube From the slaying of the gods at Teotihaucan, the Sun of Motion, Nahui Ollin, is created. Just as the gods had to sacrifice themselves, so humans must supply their own hearts and blood to ensure that the fifth sun continues to move in its path. The Aztec calendar consisted consisted of two aspects that when combined worked towards the 52 year cycle, which in our time is equal to a century. The first aspect was a 260 day cycle meant for counting days while the second was a 365 day cycle that was for counting years, they worked together like two wheels. The 260 day cycle is used for divination and forms an almanac which is made up of 20 groups of days with names or numbers. After going through the full 260 day cycle the calendar would be reset. The numbered and named days would also be replaced with a new combination. Each combination had their own meaning which is why the 260 day aspect was used for divination and acted as an almanac. The 365 day cycle was used for the cycle of seasonal festivals and was divided up into 18 months consisted of 20 days of the 260 day cycle. Every 365 day cycle was given a name with it s own meaning. Depending on the combination the festivals could be directed towards a multitude of things. As said by Richard F. Townsend As mentioned above, there was an annual cycle of 18 festivals associated with the eighteen veintena months of the 365 day solar year. These festivals were basically of three types: those directed to mountains and water in order to ensure rain; those directed to the earth, the sun, and maize, to ensure fertility, those directed to special deities, particularly those identified as patrons of different community groups or of the community as a whole. Knutzen, Vice President of Academic Affairs California State University Bakersfield From: Puji Inverso P. I. Subject: Proposal for the legal file sharing access for students Purpose The purpose of this proposal is to request Kathleen M. Knutzen, Vice President of Academic Affairs to give the approval for a comprehensive study regarding the file sharing accessibility from the library s database in order to establish whether considering a reduction in the library s journal budget to subsidize legal file sharing access is a feasible option or not. Summary CSUB has been purchasing journals for a very long time. However, it does not provide legal sharing access for its students. The purpose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The legal file sharing access for students will be of a great benefit to both the students and the institution at large. It simply means accessibility of first hand information from credible resources by each and every student at the institution. The proposal will focus on the possibility of subsidizing the legal file sharing access at the cost of the library s journal budget reduction. The proposal will include a three day research, which will be conducted by myself. It will engage students, teachers, and the dean of the library as study samples to gather relevant information concerning the viability of the proposed subsidization and what it will mean to diverse stakeholders in the institution. The following are four questions of the further research: 1. How do the students view the approach? Do they consider it academically strategic? Or do they prefer it just the way it is? 2. How will the legal file sharing access for students benefit students and teachers at large? 3. Will the protocol of setting up the legal file sharing require a lot of investment? If yes, what is the cost of operating and maintaining the database? 4. How long will it take to set up the legal file sharing point? Proposed Tasks With your approval, I will address the following six tasks in order of succession to establish whether considering a reduction in the library s journal budget to subsidize the

The Valuation Implications Of Enterprise Risk Management The Valuation Implications of Enterprise Risk Management Maturity by Mark Farrell and Ronan Gallagher seeks to prove that firms who integrate the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process tend to enhance their value by recognizing risk. This article states that enterprises will be subject to many risks and that the goal of ERM is to model, measure, analyze, and respond to these risks in a holistic manner (p. 625). As defined by the Casualty Actuarial Society (2003) ERM is the discipline by which an organization in any industry assesses, controls, exploits, finances and monitors risks from all sources for the purpose of increasing the organization s short and long term value to its stakeholders . The value of a firm was found by analyzing the ERM maturity assessment score by using the Risk and Insurance Management Society Risk Maturity Model (RIMS RMM), which is commonly known and esteemed. This was done to provide evidence that companies who incorporate the ERM process tend to add value to their company. This is important because as the article states, the premise of ERM has only been in existence for just over 10 years, and therefore research is extremely limited in regards to how to measure the full effect of ERM on a firm. This article seeks to discuss the value of ERM and how it has evolved, the data and model used to confirm the value of ERM, and then it concludes with the observed results. Marcus Zusak firstly uses personification frequently in The Messenger. The reason it is an important technique is because it gives the reader new ideas. He secondly uses humor recurrently in the novel. This then gives the reader some enjoyment in the book and not just always fear and sadness. He thirdly uses a technique that not many authors use in their novels where he incorporates himself into the novel and that then triggers different ideas in the readers mind on what is reality and what is a book. The way Zusak writes and what techniques he integrates into the novel then gives more enjoyment to the reader. The main idea that Zusak employs is the use of personification and how that increased the readers enjoyment of the novel. For example, when Zusak uses personification when the deck of cards is some one s life. For example, each suite in the deck is a different event in their life. in the novel each suite is a different chapter, the spades in real life mean death and in the novel on the Spades chapter someone dies. • 16. Implementation Of Canter s Behavior Management Plan Implementation of Canter s Behavior Management Plan: Case Study Tywon S. Thomas EDU 536 5/19/2014 Introduction: Case Study There are many different misbehaviors that a teacher may encounter from his or her students if an effective classroom management plan is not put in place at the beginning of a new school term or year. Canter s assertive discipline is based mainly on fair rules and negative consequences (Ellis, David W. 1995). The implementation of an effective plan will cut down on off task behaviors and will make way for more time to be spent on promotion of a stimulating learning environment. There are several behavior management plans from which educators can choose; the problem sometimes comes in choosing one that fits well with the students in the class. Additionally, educators have to remember that the same behavior management plan may not work from teacher to teacher, and better yet, the plan which is suitable for their first period class, may not work well with students in fourth period. After the narrowing down and tailoring process of finding a suitable plan to fit individual classroom needs, then the key to making sure it is a great classroom management plan is consistency which begins from the day the plan is implemented until the end of the school term. During this case study, the Canter Behavior Management Method, also known as the Assertive Discipline method, created by Lee and Marlene Canter, is used to assist a teacher, with a ... Response To The Blank Page Kathrine Christy Professor Anne Vial Women in Literature 11 September 2015 Unit 1 Response: On Storytelling We all commonly assume that we act freely, that we make our own decisions without regard to the opinions of those around us. We all like to think we create our own stories, and choose the way we tell them. However, many of us are probably at least tempted to wonder if this a thing completely within our control, how much of it is, and how we can resist attempts of others to write our stories for us, regardless of what we actually desire. Particularly when it comes to women, the society around us is very sure of what it wants our stories to be, and who should tell them and when. This is, of course, a process that begins early. As Foss, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is, of course, a story about storytelling, particularly the oral story telling through which humans have passed down most of our stories for most of our history. Women in particular, even after the advent of mass literacy, were barred for much of our history from education (and therefore the ability to read), have been historically the torch bearers of oral culture. After all, garrulousness and gossip are still stereotypes almost exclusively attributed to women. Of course an anti woman society sees these qualities as bad things, rather than a means of shaping our reality and connecting to the people around us, of forming and maintaining communities. The Blank Page is another tale in which a woman tries to write her own story, despite the considerable pressures of royal life encroaching in upon her. Her blank page represents the willingness of many women to resist the attempts to tell or change their stories. Silence will speak says the old woman. Surely this nameless princess was shunned by some and scorned by others, those who tried to use such disapproval to make her change her story. Levin argues that the inflammatory topic of Elizabeth s virginity and rumored children plagued her because she was a powerful woman. Instead of portraying herself as rigid and rejecting marriage entirely, Elizabeth humanizes herself to the public by writing about the pain of a lost love. Although homeschooling may be central to a busy child s life, it should be eliminated because it minimizes the range of information in daily lessons, strains relationships between students and teachers, and eradicates social skills. Despite the fact homeschooling gives families the freedom of planning it absolutely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Stated in an article on Shmoop, you ll [parents] be adding teacher, guidance counselor, and principal. Even if you take the most carefree unschooling approach possible, at some point along the way, you will likely have to act in one or all of these roles to help your child learn a new concept or make a decision about her future. This undoubtedly proves that children should attend school and not homeschool as it can ruin relations for them and future generations in their family. This why you should never homeschool any children regardless of their issues. In yet another article written by Sagari Gongala she states, When you choose to homeschool, you are doubling up as a teacher. So you are going to spend all your waking time with the child on a school day. Public schools allow you to be just a mom . Another valid point of why children should not be homeschooled is because it not only helps the kids to gain social skills, but it gives parents a period of time to relax. Which definitely proves why children should never homeschool since it can truly affect how kids will behave, as well as their confidence. Public school helps alleviate tension between students and teachers while also allowing students the freedom of friendship and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Analysis Of V For Vendetta By James Mcteigue It s a title with a strong letter used as somewhat like a alliteration to exaggerate the ideas within this film, V for Vendetta , directed by James McTeigue, this defines what the true meaning of injustice which seems to be over exaggerated through action, sci fi and thriller scenes. V for Vendetta is a type of film where in a future, where there was a British tyranny or corruption in the government, a shadowy freedom fighter plots to overthrow it with the help of a young woman. This film shows the message of the best advice is to stop fighting it and embrace the fact that you have been given an opportunity if you chose to view it with a different set of eyes. And yet there will be many who miss this opportunity as they feel a false sense of security operating in the belief systems that harbor fear, anger and hate rather than letting go to face the very emotions that enslave them. This film uses fancy quotes or catch phrases, with a strong act of violence in acting around the main character(s), especially the protagonist V and to the eventuality, Evey at the end of the story. Special effects and the fanatical costume visuals (with the famous Guy Fawkes mask) all is used intently to make the audience with a tint of exhilarance, to make them think, what does this mean? What is the idea that V is trying to show in injustice? Through elements found in the film I ve found that,...... • 36. Hydrate Research Paper There is a never ending search for an effective source of energy that is both efficient and the safest option to use. Scientists located in japan may have found a solution to this dilemma as they were recently able to locate methane clathrate, more commonly known as fire ice. Despite the name existing as an oxymoron, many believe this hydrate could prove to be the savior for the earth s fuel problems. However, given current research this supposedly useful source of natural gas could prove even more detrimental towards the environment than carbon dioxide. What must first be noted is that methane clathrate is a solid hydrate compound. A hydrate is typically a crystalline compound in which water molecules are chemically bound to another element. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Increase in temperature or a drop in pressure would cause it to dissociate rapidly, causing the ice to melt allowing the release gas, which would cause problems not only towards global warming, but also their solid existence makes them a source of support. With the release of gas the support would be lost and cause landslides that would severely damage the production equipment and existing pipelines. Not only that, but melting a single cubic meter block of this ice would release 160 cubic meters of harmful methane, which is much worse than carbon dioxide ( Methane Hydrate , 2014). Any form of retrieval technology used must be careful to capture all the gas, especially those found in the Arctic, because if that reserve is lost, it would continually discharge gas for an unknown amount of time, and as noted before any release of gas proves to be extremely detrimental (Niiler, 2013). However , not all hope is lost the dissociation of hydrates is endothermic, it uses, rather than releases, so when the gas is produced the sediments would begin to cool, allowing for the slowing or stopping of the dissociation which keeps the idea of using this as a very real ... Geoffrey began to read off lineage that most nobles in Camelot knew by heart, until he came to the one that Merlin both anticipated and feared. The warlock was trembling, as he awaited the signal from the dais. His hand gripped the dragon bone hilt of Carnwenhau, drawing deep on the strength within himself. He silently asked that his grandfather, who once wore the dagger, to be with him. ...His Majesty, High King of Briton, Aurelius Ambrosius in the Great Marriage Rite with a druid priestess begat a son, Balinor Emrys of the Dragon Lord line, Earl of Snowdonia... Merlin heard his mother s gasp resound across the near silent room. He grinned, wondering what she was going to think of the next part. This has been corroborated by His Royal Majesty, King Lot of Lothian and the High Druid Iseldir. Lord Balinor, joined to Hunith of Ealdor, in turn begat one son. Merlin took a deep breath and stepped partially out of the shadows, standing near the entrance to the Great Hall. The Great Marriage Rite to validify Balinor s heritage was a bit of a stretch. Although recognized as a joining among the druidic population and others who still revered the Old Religion, it was not something that would be upheld as a true Royal Line in the eyes of the Roman church, if his legitimacy was ever challenged...but it was acceptable enough for the role of regent, ... • 39. Causes Of Animal Mummification Mummies, labyrinthine like tombs of past kings, and a plethora of anthropomorphic animal gods remain the most prominent and iconic images of ancient Egypt in many people s minds even in the present day. Those common images have shaped the idea that ancient Egypt was obsessed with death. A mindset like that is understandable due to the high amount of gods the ancient Egyptians had dedicated to death and the afterlife#. However, the ancient Egyptians did not worship death. They merely required more odd sounding traditions to be followed due to their religion. For example, burying their personal belongings including food and pets, or more iconic, the preservation of bodies by mummification if possible. Perhaps explaining the method and various reasons for mummification and other topics surrounding it will show that the ancient Egyptians were not a civilization that worshiped death, and that they simply followed these in some ways strange religious traditions in an attempt to rest in peace. There is one type of mummification that most people may not know about. That type is animal mummification#. There are multiple reasons ancient Egyptians mummified animals. Some Egyptians wanted their pets to be buried with them, that meant mummification if they could afford it. The other main reason for animal mummification is for offerings to the different gods in the Egyptian pantheon. When an Egyptian offered a mummified animal to a god, the idea was that the creature would go and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 42. Peer Pressure Towards Negative Behaviour and Classroom... Children are often viewed as happy, carefree beings without having to care for most stressors in life. However, take a closer look and we would understand that children do have their growing pains as well. In this research, children are defined as young kids below the age of 12. As they grow older, they undergo many changes in their life, and it is of no surprise that they need to learn to cope from the situation based on those changes. This study is designed to understand the underlying theories and factors that could affect the children s development through the environmental influences that may promote or affect the development of behavior and achievement through peer pressure and classroom quality (Adams, Ryan, Ketsetzis, and Keating, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although conformity and compliance are relatively similar, they too, have differences. Compliance is a specific response to a specific request, while conformity generally involves unspoken pressure to behave in a particular manner. Generally, compliance involves request which could be explicit such as using the foot in the door technique. Most of the time, in compliance, the child is told to respond or complete the task told in a desirable manner; while in conformity, a person is expected to behave in a particular manner (Cialdini and Trost, 1998). Compliance plays a major role in building and maintaining relationships where children learn to behave in a certain manner to maintain status quo (Cialdini and Trost, 1998). When we comply with an instruction, we receive praises, or lavished with social acceptance and gifts. By doing so, the children feel accepted, wanted and loved by other peers. In a way, compliance acts as a form of conditioning the behavior expected from their peers (Cialdini and Trost, 1998). It is easy to view compliance as a form of concession due to the obligation children might have towards their peers. Studies have found that with compliance, children tend to bend towards peer pressure and it has a significant effect towards negative behavior (Adams et al, 2000; Fanti and Henrich, 2010). This isn t surprising, as children ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
