skin color. On one occasion all the children were playing together in the lobby of a movie theater.

an ideal location for growth hub and port facilities, due to the access between ports of Auckland and

hectare (refer to Figure 1). Due to this location, urban development is prohibited within the area,
according to the operative district plan rules. This develops the issue of the plan change through Tainui
Group Holdings Limited and Chedworth Properties Limited aiming to proceed with development of
the inland port in this area (Environmental Protection Authority 2013). Through the proposed plan
change, it pursues to add objectives, and policies to the District Plan that allows for urban
development, therefore removing the prohibited activity status of urban development from the plan
(Turner Kyle 2014). There are many stakeholders, and individuals involved through this development
and plan change consent. These groups involved include Hamilton City Council, Tainui Group
Holdings Limited and Chedworth Properties limited, as well as many other submitters, from other

literature degree to help her gain social mobility. Rita, a 26 year old blue collar Liverpool hairdresser,
meets an English tutor, Dr. Frank Bryant in hopes that she would discover and experience true
happiness. Dr. Bryant is a wealthy alcoholic academic who suffers from low self esteem and
confidence and would eventually fall in love with Rita s unwitty ability to adapt to academia life and
her continuous commitment to change and grow as a writer. This an example of how blue collar

Although conformity and compliance are relatively similar, they too, have differences. Compliance is
a specific response to a specific request, while conformity generally involves unspoken pressure to
behave in a particular manner. Generally, compliance involves request which could be explicit such as
using the foot in the door technique. Most of the time, in compliance, the child is told to respond or
complete the task told in a desirable manner; while in conformity, a person is expected to behave in a
particular manner (Cialdini and Trost, 1998).
Compliance plays a major role in building and maintaining relationships where children learn to
