Evaluation Of Linux Containers ( Lxc )
Linux Assignment 2015 Evaluation of Linux Containers What is a Linux Container? The Linux
Containers (LXC) feature is a lightweight virtualization mechanism that does not require you to set
up a virtual machine on an emulation of physical hardware. (Oracle, 2015) Linux based containers
are emerging cloud technologies based on fast and lightweight process virtualization. It offers users
an environment near identical performance to a standard Linux distribution, as opposed to para
virtualization solutions (Xen) and other hardware virtualization solutions such as KVM. It is not
necessary for a Linux container to create a new operating system kernel for each new instance.
Because containers are lighter weight than VMs, it... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

such templates, mainly for the most commonly used Linux distributions. These may be modified to

Virtual Reality ( Vr )
After standing in line at Best Buy for over an hour, I was finally given the chance to try a new
piece of technology I had been following for several years. They fastened a thick headset over
my face and I was instantly transported to a different world. Here, my hands held a bow and
arrow and I began to shoot countless enemies to defend a kingdom from certain ruin. I was now a
part of something that what was once fantasy and now only possible in this alternate world. These
digital universes are now possible thanks to the recent introduction of Virtual Reality(VR), a piece
of tech that allows the user to enter digitally created realms. The technology consists of a headset
(that a user would place on their head), which covers one s face and sight with a big thick dome.
Inside that dome is a screen that projects into the user s eyes, creating a world in which they can
feel and interact in. The user can look around and touch things with their body, just like in the real
world. This helps to make someone feel immersed in an alternate reality, hence the name Virtual
Reality. This device has definitely had a big impact on the tech world and is a gamechanger to
many. Because this device so new, it has yet to catch on with the general masses, leading many to
think that this will not be the next big thing. Many believe the tech to be just another fad that will
die out, as with Nintendo s Wii and its motion gaming. Others are skeptical about possible
controversies that will arise

The Transformation Of Deportation Of Mass Extermination
Robert Smith History 345 A TA Washnis 12/5/14 The Transformation from Deportation to Mass
Extermination The legacy the Second World War is often inundated in a series of disparagements,
condemnations, and outright disgust against the perpetrators of the industrial scale mass murder
that was the Holocaust. This provides both positive and negative outcomes for those who seek to
study the Holocaust and understand it from all angles. The demonization of key Nazi luminaries
like Hitler and Himmler are highly appropriate given their ruthless and inhumane actions against
European Jewry, ethnic minorities, their own German citizenry, and an international global
standard of morality. Their reputations for inhumanity are well deserved. Nonetheless,... Show more

Ultimately, these men in addition to Nazi collaborators, everyday people doing their duty, and
Hitler s military machine were responsible for engineering the Holocaust. How did the goals
change from expulsion to mass extermination? The answer is that unless Nazi ideology were to
change, the contingencies of war made it a necessity. Germany and the Nazi regime had an
expansive outline for the execution of their goals. A predominant force in their agenda was the
notion of Judenpolitik, or how they would approach the treatment of European Jewry. The Nazis
had drawn up plans for the island of Madagascar to house Europe s Jews, however, given the
constraints of mass populations management, the Nazis settled for Ghettos as a provisional
measure. The vehicle for dealing with the Jews in the early stages of the war was through a system
of segregation in Europe, coined Ghettoization. These quasi internment camps acted as the Nazis
main device to control the Jewish population, just short of exterminating them. In fact, the Nazis
always strived to be rid of the Jewish population, however the jump from the notion of deportation
to the wanton destruction of millions of lives through mass shootings, gassings, and savage work
details was abrupt. Additionally, the fact that often the Germans were aided by collaborators in the
lands they invaded should make

Housing Team Work Case Study
Initially, the Housing Team started the project intending to clarify sustainable procurement
guidelines. However, as our research progressed, we realized that creating concrete guidelines
would not be the most efficient way in increasing the share of spending on environmentally
preferred products. Our goals evolved and we ended up creating a list of recommended green office
supplies in order to streamline the whole purchasing process. As mentioned previously, the second
phase of the project is about educational outreach programs. This educational component aims to
stimulate interest in the purchasing and utilization of green office supplies at UCLA. The objective
of spreading awareness and educating staff on green office supplies is to initiate changes in people
s purchasing patterns and consumer habits. The Housing Team intends to reach students as well as
UCLA Housing and Hospitality Services and UCLA Residential Life full time staff. The team plans
on organizing Lunch and Learn programs to educate full time staff about the importance of

lifestyle choices through education, community involvement, and advocacy. By interacting with
Team Green Hill Government Representatives, the Housing Team has the potential to impact a
large number of students on the Hill. These student leaders organize programs for dormitory

Implementing Devolution And Strategic Hrm Essay
MGMT 405
Critical Review
Introduction
(Bainbridge, 2015), analyses the point of devolution of people management to the line. Further he
looks at how rationales and mediators can control how well a devolution process and strategic HR
can be implemented into an organisation. Using a qualitative research technique, the author proves
that the rationales have a direct impact on the mediators when it comes to the implementation of
devolution into an organisation. The article by Bainbridge (2015) doesn t take into consideration
that the HR managers themselves need to have the credibility and respected of the CEO and line
managers to be able to effectively implement and maintain the devolution. My critique is that many
organisations are not able to implement devolution and strategic HRM because the HR managers
themselves do not have the needed credibility in the eyes of the CEO and line managers to make a
success of it. Without the credibility HR ends up playing an advisory and administrative role and
the CEO and line managers run the strategic aspect.
Thesis statement
Bainbridge (2015), states that in order to successfully implement devolution of people management
to the line and thereby make HRM strategic within an organisation, there has to be flowing
relationship between devolutional rationales, HR function attributes, line manager focused HR
practices and people management effectiveness.
These arguments are reasonable but the key component of credibility of HRM

Chapter 6: A Tour of the Cell
Concept 6.1 Biologists use microscopes and the tools of biochemistry to study cells 1. The
study of cells has been limited by their small size, and so they were not seen and described until
1665, when Robert Hooke first looked at dead cells from an oak tree. His contemporary, Anton
van Leeuwenhoek, crafted lenses and with the improvements in optical aids, a new world was
opened. Magnification and resolving power limit what can be seen. Explain the difference.
Magnification is the ratio of an object s image size to its real size. Resolution is a measure of the

The nuclear lamina, a netlike array of protein filaments, connects the layers of the nuclear envelope.
12. What is the nuclear lamina? Nuclear matrix? The nuclear lamina is the netlike array of protein
filaments that maintains the shape of the nucleus by mechanically supporting the nuclear envelope.
The nuclear matrix is a framework of protein fibers extending throughout the nuclear interior. The
nuclear matrix and nuclear lamina may help organize the genetic material so it functions efficiently.

Found within the nucleus are the chromosomes. They are made of chromatin. What are the two
components of chromatin? When do the thin chromatin fibers condense to become distinct
chromosomes? Chromatin is composed of proteins and DNA. Chromatin fibers condense to become
distinct chromosomes as a cell prepares to divide.

When are the nucleoli visible? What are assembled here? Nucleoli are visible in a nondividing
nucleus and in cells active in protein synthesis. Within the nucleoli, proteins imported from the
cytoplasm are assembled with rRNA into large and small subunits of ribosomes.

The Role Of PTSD In The Police Department

deep impact in officers and such. PTSDin the body of policeofficers isn t widely known, but it is a
tolling factor in their career. This is a problem that is slowly taking surge, much like a tumor or a

There are ways to cope ideally with PTSD and help officers with their disorders. As of the
moment, there are therapy group sessions with fellow officers that are experiencing the same
issues; family support and comfort treatments that help have more control of emotions.(Stress)
Yet, this is not as much as the expected impact due to officers not wanting to be discharged and
lose pay, thus they keep their symptoms to themselves, so what many believe what we need to
do is input more therapy session and invite openly to all officers to encourage participation, even
if they are not with PTSD symptoms, simply because it reinforces the fact that everyone in the
force are there, comrades in the field and home.(Kulman and May 2015) We need to open up the
research field and invest more to save the lives of those who sacrifice daily for our safety. As for
now, there are advances in treatments for PTSD, and hopefully soon a way to stop PTSD from
claiming for victims. There are people recovering as well as people falling into the brink of
insanity and having suicidal thoughts, yet we must forge on to reach better

Why I pick this reason is yes it has a big part but, other than that it has compare and contrast of
you and other people. In my opinion why it s comparing you to other its shows we all have the
same emotions but, we show them different ways like one way is that we hide them in or we
show them off. Other than that there is another reason is that is somewhat from Garrison Keillor
and he said we can learn something from others. I agree with that why I say that is because for
instance compare yourself to a famer what do you have in common and I think you have a job in
common and pretty much what I m saying you have your Modern Life in common even if you
don t do the same things there is one step we all do. In our contrast is really on what we do like
famers are on their hands and keens digging why you are probably sitting at a desk or stand up or
even singing or acting or even modeling and what else we all have a contrast in that is what we
believe in and our religions. Other than that we judge easy to and going to a state fair or any
activities it will make us not judge yes we will laugh at pictures of people on rides but, we won t
broadcast it like some others do. That s the last reason why we go to the State

Harriet Jacobs Thesis
Harriet Jacobs was an African American slave that left an impact on several people in ending
slavery. Not just on how slavery was, but especially how it was for the women. She wrote a
autobiography on her time in slavery to address the white women in the North who do not fully
comprehend the evils of slavery. She makes direct appeals to their humanity to expand their
knowledge and influence their thouhts about slavery as a institution. This autobiography was
published in a newspaper in the North and was part of the beginnings on ending slavery. Her
autobiography is telling of her time during the years of service at the Flint houseold. She was
young when she first started to work for them. And during her early years she was able to
participate in the activites the master s children did. But when she turned fifteen things took a sad

Flint was a nasty, vile, and disgusting old man. He was not faithful to his wife and thought of
Harriet as his property to do whatever he liked to. Harriet had once said that beauty was a curse
for a slave girl, meaning that if a slave girl had the misfortune of beauty, her master would desire
her. He would whisper vile things into Harriets ear. So many impure things that she could not
bring herself to say in her auotbiography. She would try to object to his cruelity but he would
always demand her service seeing as how he was her master. And, growing up knowing that she
was to obey her master, she didn t have much of a fight. Dr. Flint not only abused Harriet, but
threatened her with her life if she did not keep quiet about all he had done. She, herself, felt dirty,
and tainted. Like the life and joy she had once experinced as a child had vanished, and was
replaced with a dull, gray, world of emptyness. Even other slaves began to notice her sadness. They
understood, especially the women, exactly what she was going through. No one was to talk about

Violence In Wuthering Heights Research Paper
The Duality of Violence and Passivity in Relation to Environment in Wuthering Heights Characters
in Wuthering Heights exemplify the effect of dual natures and the destructive impact such internal
struggles can have on filial relations. The motives that drive the characters are inextricably linked to
the warring forces inside them that are the impetus for the rash and ruinous actions that are
common to both major households in the novel. Consequently, the prevalence of duality throughout
the novel signifies the importance of a double nature in characterizing humanity. Catherine is the
most relevant example of contradictory natures as they define her personality throughout her life.

Osama Bin Laden, A Powerful Leader
Osama bin Laden is a powerful influential leader to his followers. He also has significance
approaches to them as well. Bin laden created a new group in 1988 called al Qaeda ( the base )
to where it would focus on a symbolic act of terrorism instead of military campaign. A year later
in 1989 the Soviets withdrew from Afghanistan, soon after that bin laden returned to Saudi
Arabia to step up fundraising for the new and more complicated mission (History.com 2009).
The pro Western Saudi royal family feared that bin Laden s fiery pan Islamist rhetoric might
cause trouble in the kingdom, so they tried to keep him quite as they could. Therefore, the royal
family took away his passport and refused to accept his offer to send Afghan Arabs to guard the
borders after Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990 (History.com 2009). However, the Saudi royal family
did not make it any better when they sought help from the infidel U.S. instead. Since bin Laden
was furious about being snubbed by the Saudi royal family, he vowed that it would be al Qaeda, and
not the Americans, who would one day; prove to be master of this world.
Osama bin Laden kept his promise when he said that al Qaeda would be the master of the world.

business administration and modern management, which he had learned both from his family s

The leopardus pardalis, or the ocelot, also known as the dwarf leopard, has been endangered
since 1982 and is protected by the Endangered Species Act (FWS, 2010). Ocelots have been
declared a federally endangered species (Tewes, 2001). They are native to South and Central
America as well as Mexico (FWS, 2010). Texas is a far north as the wild cat has been found, but
a few have been noted to have lived in Arizona and Louisiana in the past (Campbell, 2003,
Moore, 2013). A feature that denotes it from other cats is the parallel striping descending down
the neck and above the eyes. It is a medium sized cat with body size resembling the bobcat,
weighing between 24 and 35 pounds when full grown (FWS, 2010).
The habitat ocelots require include thick, thorny shrub and deep, fertile clay or loamy soils
(Campbell, 2003). Humans cannot walk or see through the dense brush that ocelots call home. The
Ocelot once inhabited regions of Texas to include the Edward s Plateau and Coastal Plain
regions. Now they reside in the Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live
Oak, McMullen, Nueces, San Patricio, Starr, Willacy, and Zapata counties of Texas. Ocelots
require about 95% canopy coverage as well as thickness of shrubbery for habitat. Borderline
habitats have 75 95% canopy coverage. The types of soil required for growth of the best coverage
and habitat are also coveted by companies seeking to expand agriculture. An

integrated to technology. The creations of new laptops and tablets, and the easy access to new

quick and widespread implementation of these technological advances has shaped the new way we
conduct our daily lives, as well as how knowledge is processed and taught in our classrooms. Today

When asked to write, young students often struggle to express their ideas on paper because they are
concentrating on how the write the specific letters, however through the use of technology students
enhance their writing because they are not concentrating on how to write the letters, but on the flow
of ideas (Hertzog and Klein 27). Students have successfully improved their writing skills through
the use of technological advancements while still going back to the old fashioned way of hand
writing. Based on experiments done by Hertzog and Klein, they have found many advantages to
using technology in early childhood classrooms. While many supports the idea of technology being
implemented in educational plans, there are many who oppose and argue that technology in today s
classroom can take away important learning time and can also turn educational experiences into
games for students (Klaus 1). However, technology must be appropriately used and with well
trained teachers that can assist students to use these technological advancements for their
educational benefit. As Kenny mentions, integrating technology into the schoolroom is hard work

small and quaint farm house on the outskirts of a very small town and this is where I met my
soulmate. He was definitely everything I could ve ever dreamed of. Tall, muscular, very handsome
and the most beautiful green eyes I had ever seen in my life. His name was Adam. I guess you
could say it was love at first sight I mean I fell in love the very moment I laid my eyes on him and
I knew he felt the same. We spent every minute of every day together. He loved me in a way
nobody else ever did. I had finally found my happiness. The love of my life. My other half. We
made tons of plans to build a life with one another. We knew the crazy wild and free days of us
being young would eventually come to an end and we wanted to spend the rest of our lives
together. We talked for hours, planning our lives together. How many children we would have, what
we would name them, how our house would look, everything. it would all turn to nothing though.
For three years we were attached at the hip. Side by side 24/7. Until that night...Which brings me

Graffiti Vandalistic Art
Walking down the streets of New York City, on the left the entire wall is covered in art, with a
wide spectrum of graffiti, ranging from the word New York to drawings of the Statue of Liberty
and many more pieces such as gang related phrases and drawings, the feeling of amazement is
present. Graffiti, being a freelance way of expressing good and bad emotions through art, is often
frowned upon due to vandalistic nature of most graffiti. Graffiti has been around since the late
1900 s and it is said that The first modern graffiti writer is widely considered to be Cornbread...
who in Philadelphia, started tagging city walls to get the attention of a girl (De Melker). Graffiti
has become more commonly found in big towns and cities. In today s, time graffiti is beginning
to be more than just gangs marking territory and evolving into its own art form. From subway
cars to the sides of walls and sometimes in art galleries, graffiti can be found anywhere. Graffiti
can be beautiful yet is very controversial form of art and is used for many different reasons.
According to Eldridge, graffiti is an ancient form of human communication and can be found in
ruins dated to early civilizations. Graffiti has transformed from people just tagging things to a way
of art. Graffiti writing eventually became bigger and more stylized, developing from tags to
pieces, short masterpieces. Piecing demands decorative expression, artistic skill, and understanding
of aerosol paint control (Eldridge). Over the years, the way graffiti has been viewed has also
changed. Although most still see it as vandalism, those who actually like draw and are interested
in art see graffiti as its own form of art developing just like other forms of art, like music. Although
graffiti is viewed as vandalism to most there are some cases where graffiti is used as a way of self
expression. In the T.V. series Switched at Birth, Bay
Kennish puts her art on walls, billboards, and on her car as a way of wanting her art to be known
to others. She uses graffiti and drawing as a form of self expression. Other artist around the world
use graffiti to express themselves. For example, a street artist

Barbie Doll By Marge Piercy
Today s society raises young women to conform to archaic practices with total disregard towards a
child self progression. In Barbie Doll poem by Marge Piercy it is portrayed a young girl who was
attacked by society because of having unruly features on her appearance and body. To make
clear, Piercy uses the title Barbie Doll in her poem to symbolize the cultural American traditions
of making young girls live in a fairy tale world; where everything they see or do is perfect. The girl
in this poem played with Barbie toys since she was little, but when she reached her puberty
people started to criticize her of having imperfections on her face and body; which made her
commit a really wrong decision for herself. In today s society there are a large number of women
having plastic surgery, because they do not feel comfortable or confident with their own
appearances. Women are not just beauty queens and home makers; they should retreat from female
stereotypes at a young age so they do not confront society pressure.
Barbie s toys purpose of entertaining young girls is sarcastic, because the underlying theme
behind them is destructive; since female stereotypes make the girls think they are as perfectly
beautiful as the Barbie. In the beginning of the poem the author states various items that any
young girl would have such as, dolls that imitated live children, dolls that did pee pee , mini stoves
and irons to keep clothes neat, and wee lipsticks the color of cherry candy , the

The Importance Of Islam A Way Of Life
Islam is not only a religion, but a way of life. According to Al Shahri (2002), Islam means total
obedience or submission to the true and one Allah (Allah is the Arabic name for God). The
source of law in the Islamic legal system arising from Islam is the Qur an and Sunnah. The Qur an
is the word of Allah as revealed to Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon him [PBUH]) through the
angel Gabriel. Sunnah is the collection of words, actions, traditions, and deeds of the Prophet
Mohammed (PBUH). Islamis the way of life within the system of values that advocate
forgiveness, peace, repentance, and mercy. These values are not only central to Islamic
philosophy, but are universally held at the root of nursing care. Islamic Philosophy provides
guidance on moral, spiritual, personal, social, political, and economic affairs for all aspects of
Muslim s life (Rashidi Rajaram, 2001).
There are many concepts important to the underlying philosophy in Islam. The idea of tawheed is
central in Islam. Tawheed means unification and the Ones of God, which required maintaining God
s unity in all human activities: practically, intellectually, and spiritually (Rassool, 2000). Islam
defines human beings with specific paradigms, which include mind, soul and spirit, body, and
heart. The practice of the Muslim life reflects these paradigms in the individual s relationship with
Allah. According to Luna (1994), Tawheed implies that there is no separation of the spiritual
dimension from the body: in other words, there is body mind unity. In the past, the rise of
positivism resulted in the conceptual separation of mind and body and this concept then found its
way into modern healthcare. According to Rashidi and Rajaram (2001), this separation of body
and mind has had a negative influence on the holistic approach to providing nursing care (Rashidi
Rajaram, 2001). In the Islamic philosophy of nursing care, this idea of positivism has been rejected.
Muslims believe in predestination according to Allah s will. In the understanding of the spiritual
life, there is a belief in life after death and a Day of Judgment. At that time, it is believed that
Allah judge s people based on their deeds during earthly life. There are five

The Importance Of Reconstruction After The Civil War
America has gone through many different struggles and positive changes. There have been so many
different revolutionary moments in America. One of these revolutionary moments was
Reconstruction after the civil war. Reconstruction had different periods such as Emancipation and
Reconstruction, Presidential Reconstruction, Radical Reconstruction, and the Compromise of
1877. The period of Reconstruction had many goals and accomplishments. Reconstruction did come
to an end and just like most revolutionary moments in history Reconstruction was labeled both a
success and a failure. Though human equality was the main goal of the Reconstruction period in
the South after the Civil War, it proved to be an attempted compromise that actually created more
conflicts. Emancipation and Reconstruction was a time period where slavery was trying to come to
an end. At the outset of the Civil War, to the dismay of the more radical abolitionists in the North,
President Abraham Lincolndid not make the abolition of slavery a goal of the Union war effort (
Reconstruction. History.com). Lincoln did not believe slavery was morally wrong, though he did
believe in the phrase All men are created equal. This did not mean he thought blacks and whites
should have the same political and social standings. Lincoln created the Emancipation Proclamation
, which was signed January 1st, 1863 because he did not want any state to rebel against the Union,
so Lincoln said he would emancipate all slaves if these

Network, Virtual Local Area Networks ( Vlans )
In the past, companies were hampered by the cost, performance, and security issues that are
associated with local area networks or LANs. LANs must be connected physically to switches
which means that each LAN must have its own switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13). The
virtualized version of the LANs, virtual local area networks (VLANs), allows users to invest in
only one switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13). The VLAN is used in a virtual data center
environment to separate a single LAN into more than one network while being physically
connected to only one switch. One advantage of VLANs is that network administrators can now
sort devices by whatever criteria they require without physical location being an issue. Different
VLANs can be set for different groups or departments within the same LAN. Performance is
improved because, when the LAN is broken up into VLANs, it is not receiving broadcasts from
all of the devices (certbros.com, 2015, para. 4). Cost is decreased because separate physical
switches are not required for VLANs. A security benefit is provided because VLANs can be
configured to accommodate the different security levels needed, and the administrator can choose
whether or not to allow the VLANs to communicate with each other (certbros.com, 2015, para. 6).
VRFs Virtualization is also used in the data center to acquire more routing instances without
acquiring more hardware (Santana, 2014. P. 90). This technology is known as Virtual Routing and

to high blood cholesterol, for instance, environmental influences, genetic factors, existing illnesses

Introduction Due to stiff competition, marketing has become an essential component in the
management of organizations. According to Turnbull and Paliwoda (2012) marketing revolves
around the manner in which organisations communicate with consumers in the market. There are
two main perspectives towards the understanding of what marketing is. From one perspective, it is
the manner in which organisations communicate with their consumers regarding the existing
products and also commication that is geared towards creating positive perceptions in the consumer
market. Thus the approach points out that marketing is a tool used for value creation. The other
perspective of marketing is more comprehensive as it encompases marketing as a tool and a process
in the organization. with regards to this perspective, Challagalla, Murtha, and Jaworski (2014)
define marketing as: the process of conception planning and execution, pricing, promotion and
distribution of goods, ideas and services. This means that marketing starts from the designing and
producing products and services, to when they are promoted and distributed to the consumers.
Marketing strategies of enhancing sales can be implemented anywhere within the

Glass Movie Reflection
As I watched the movie, I noticed a variety of hints that made me question Glass character and I
was a little frustrated that the other characters weren t able to pick up on them. I first sensed that
Glass was a little odd when he kept downgrading himself and his own work. This begins when
Glass is talking to Gloria and he says that his piece is going Horrible and moves into a meeting
with Amy and Caitlin where he says that they hate his piece, it s the worst thing he s ever wrote
, and that he might as well kill himself . This all happening within the first ten minutes of the
movie, was causing red flags to pop up in my head, wondering how he could be so self loathing
and dramatic without anyone noticing. As the movie progresses, I can see that Glass is using
his self loathing to manipulate his coworkers into helping him on his papers, dodging discipline
from editors, and averting inquisitiveness away from his pieces. One of the key phrases that I
noticed he always used was Did I do something wrong? Are you mad at me? which usually was
reverberated with a resilient no . This stressed that he was emotionally manipulating his
coworkers in order to get away with his falsified work. All of these actions are what I would
consider a flawed person. His manipulation, blatant lies, and exaggeration s are what I believe
make him a flawed especially when he applied it to his line of work. The reason that these
attributes make him more of a flawed person when applied to

Civic Mirror Analysis
Authorization is an imperative component for any society. Civic Mirror taught our class the
necessity for bureaucracy in today s life. Government enforces correct behavior in organizing every
individual for further equality. In civic mirror, Congress composed laws to reinforce civility. If
citizens acted against this reinforcement, a trial would be held. In addition to emphasized
legislation, administration of necessary goods also justifies the importance for government. The
provided prices for essentials were very inexpensive compared to the private marketers. The
primary action the authority takes is implementing God given rights. In the taught simulation, every
individual was granted the right to a fair trial, for every case required an impartial jury. The
importance of government is integral in the provision of necessary guidance to its citizens as shown
through Civic Mirror.
Government encourages each resident to sustain appropriate conduct. Efficiently run communities

Essay on Marlowe s Doctor Faustus
Marlowe s Doctor Faustus
In Faustus first speech in Act 1, my main feeling towards Faustus was not sympathy but irritation.
I became aware of Faustus arrogance and his impatience with ordinary learning, particularly with
his referral to law as a petty case of paltry legacies. He also constantly refers to himself as Faustus ,
reminding himself of his own importance.
Other aspects of Faustus character are revealed in the descriptive language he uses. He is ravish d
by magic, and is glutted with learning. These adjectives show a very sensual personality.
The good and bad angels represent the two different sides of his personality, one side urging him to
sell his soul for magic and the other urging him to remember that ... Show more content on

Faustus sees himself as indebted to Mephostophilis for by him I ll be a great emperor of the world.
In Act 2, the good and bad angels return as a demonstration of both of
Faustus opinions. Because Faustus is such a sensual person, he is more inclined to listen to the
bad angel, which appeals to his material side. Faustus is unsure of his own decision and he
pounces on anything that could be construed as a sign to him to stop in the selling of his soul.
When he writes the bill damning his soul, and the blood congeals, Faustus wonders what might the
staying of my blood portend? Faustus questions Mephostophilis, who cleverly sidesteps each
question and appeals to Faustus sensual side by showing him a visual display of dancing devils
and fireworks.
Faustus is keen to believe in heaven but not in hell. Even though
Faustus called to hell, and Mephostophilis is standing in front him as proof of the existence of
hell, he does not truly believe his soul will be damned. He dismisses hell as trifles and mere old
wives tales. Faustus sensual side, suggested earlier in the play by his language, is openly admitted
in Act 2 when Faustus tells Mephopstophilis he is
wanton and lascivious and cannot live without a wife.
Faustus also asks Mephostophilis for the books with all the knowledge in the world. This is more
proof of his scholarly side. The devils that visit Faustus are aware of how much he relies on his
senses and use this to their

Identifying Differences Among Businesses In order to identify, analyse and evaluate the major
differences along the supply chain between the business to business (B2B) and the business to
consumer (B2C) marketing in the manufacture and retailing of fast moving consumer goods, it is
important to define the different terms. According to Wright, the supply chain can be defined as the
entire network of suppliers, factories, warehouses, distribution centres and retailers that participate

The research market In B2B, Wright states that the pressure to get industrial products with the right
benefits to market ahead of the competition is the main concern (Wright 2004). Secondary
researches such as the market, the trends are more used than primary researches as organisations
activity is based on economic and industrial trend. In B2B, there is a focus on making the products
matching the consumer demand. Secondary researches are needed but primary researches about
consumers psychology are more important as their wants and needs are changing over the years.
(Minett 2002) 2.5. The segmentation In B2B, customers are segmented by industry and individual
company needs as they are not numerous. There are two types of segmentation, the macro

industry from another and one type of organisation from another (Wright 2004). Segmentation is

M Ж’Г„ Ori Cultural Concepts Essay
Culture is not one distinct commodity. Culture is the integrated pattern of belief, human knowledge
and behaviour that has transcended through generations. MДЃori are the indigenous people of New
Zealand. MДЃori Culture is collectively the beliefs and ideals followed by the MДЃori people
mainly through tradition and legend. The culturedates back to 1250 1300 Common Era (CE) when
Polynesians migrated to the long white cloud and it has remained prominent to this day due to the
practice of MДЃori cultural concepts. A cultural conceptis a non tangible ideal that governs a
society and cannot be physically touched . There are numerous MДЃori cultural concepts however I
am focusing on the three I believe are most important: Mana, Tapu and Utu. I will elaborate on how
these cultural concepts are important in understanding MДЃori culture and society.
Firstly, I will begin with how mana is important in MДЃori society. Mana in its simplest form is
authority and power. The sources of mana include: mana tupuna, mana whenua, mana tangata and
mana atua. Mana tupuna is power that has been attained through descent. It ties the MДЃori people
to their ancestors. Mana also denotes the heritage, the myths and the legends, which define their
place in the world. Mana tupuna is power through descent. It aids people in self identification

Bourgeoisie By Karl Marx
Karl Marx, a historian and political theorist, believed that there would be a great revolution
involving the proletariat, or working class who sell their labor, and the bourgeoisie, who control the
means of production. Because the bourgeoisie controlled the means of production, the proletariat
were under the control of the bourgeoisie, and had to sell their labor even though the work was
alienating to them. Working in factories was the only job they could land, but were forced to do so
to survive. The actions of the bourgeoisie and proletariat prove
Marx s idea that everything done in society is for capital gains, or money. Marx proposed that the
proletariat would rise up and all would become one class, working together for the society.

How Does Emily BrontГ« Demonstrate The Balance Of Women s...
Britain s society had an unbalance of power during the late eighteenth century amongst genders.
The roles of men and women were distinct, however the women had far less say and input. In the
novel Wuthering Heights, Emily BrontГ« displays the revolutionary change amongst women
beginning in the late 1860s. The barrier of not having a voice as well as restricted freedom had
finally been broken down. The roles of women have progressed drastically from the stay home
mother, to marriage rights, to finally the rebellious actions of women wanting to achieve their
individualism. In the beginning stages of reforming women s roles, they were only stay home
mothers. Women were the domestic interiors of the house, maintaining the inside and everything...

The division of the classes were clear, and depending on which one, were often quite tough to
succeed in. The majority of women belonged to the lower class like Catherine Earnshaw was.
Catherine knows that if Heathcliff and I married, we should be beggars (72) Nelly agrees with
Catherine, and marrying Edgar will give Catherine the opportunity to escape from a disorderly,
comfortless home into a wealthy respectable one (BrontГ« 70). Catherine sees that social and
financial stability requires being a lady, which erases the rebel she once was. It was not unusual
for women to search for a man who was well

Broken Age Research Paper
Broken Age is a point and click adventure game. There are two different playable characters one
is named Vella Tartine and the other is Shay Volta that are found in similar worlds and situations
that the player switches back and forth to the other player; otherwise there is little contact
between the two characters. The player can direct their character around the screen looking at
objects and talk to the people to figure out what s in the world. The game was designed by Tim
Schafer and his company Double Fine Productions after a very successful Kickstarter campaign
that earned over $1 million dollars. This is his first game since Grim Fandango to be a point and
click adventure. Besides featuring Schafer s trademark humor, the game also has explores
themes like loneliness, the definition of growing up, and sacrifice. The writing in the game will
make some cry at times and at others laugh. The scenery is beautiful as well, you will think when
you see it that it is a picture book come to life. Vella (voiced by Masasa Moyo) is about to be
sacrificed by her village to Mog Chothra, a monster. Her parents seem excited and all too ready to

The first act was only about four hours worth of gameplay, the second is about two times that.
The puzzles are a lot harder, in the tradition in Grim Fandango or Monkey Island. However some
of the time spent in the second half is backtracking to previously seen worlds. The dual character
proves useful according to one reviewer, because when you get stuck on one player s puzzle,
you can hop into the other s and work on theirs. The brilliance lies in the player being able to
decide when to switch to the other character instead of having to be stuck on one puzzle until it s
figured out to move on to another. The game features an all star voice cast, included voices are:
Pendleton Ward, Wil Wheaton, Jennifer Hale, Elijah Wood, and Jack

Music s Impact On The Music Revolution
Musical revolutions can be defined by three key aspects which are: the venues music was made
in, the way the audience listened to the music, and the way the music was disseminated. These
are unique in that there is no clear separation between them and at times some of the changes that
have been made can impact all three at the same time. The age in which we live in is
experiencing all of these aspects to one degree or another. It is difficult for someone my age to
understand that we are living in a musicrevolution the likes of which has never been seen before.
From what I have learned in the History of American Pop music class it seems that the venues
which music has been made in will remain consistent for many years then drastically change. The
first music industry we have learned of consisted of composers who would write music for the
performers who would perform them with the possibility that someone in the audience could go to
the music shop and purchase the sheet music with the intention to play it themselves. This aspect
influenced the higher classes more than the lower classes since you would have to have money to
see the concert, buy the music, and own an instrument to play it on. At that time there was no
major companies who consistently put out music for the purpose of being consumed. The first
time we can see this concept being readily applied would be in Tin Pan Alley. Although Tin Pan
Alley was still producing sheet music it was created for the purpose

Johnny Got His Gun Analysis
Leaving the Harbor Every individual comes to a point in their life in which they begin to swim
away from the harbor their parents raised them in, and begin navigating their own life. Dalton
Trumbo uniquely portrays the familiar concept of coming of age, within a passage from his novel
Johnny Got His Gun, in which he depicts a sonwanting to take a friend fishing instead of his father
who has taken him annually during their camping trip. Trumbo gives insight into the internal
turmoil that strikes when confronting ones parents about wanting to drift away from the anchor
they ve been for them. He clearly articulates his point, illustrating the flow in thought from tense to
reflective using precise selection of detail, applying a shift in point of view, and naturalistic
imagery. Trumbo shifts the tone from tense to reflective through effectively selecting details which
portray the impact of the encounter between the father and son. Opening the passageTrumbo asserts
the significance of the tradition by carefully depicting the campsite, in a way which he conveys an
atmosphere of nostalgia. Describing how his memories included the pine needles...falling on their
tent, sitting staring into the fire, fishing, and hearing the streams which connected the lakes
throughout the night. Reveling an appreciation of company is present in the boy s childhoodwhich
lays the foundation for his anxiety to inform his father of his wants, as the two were once connected
like the streams and

The Linux Containers (LXC) feature is a lightweight virtualization mechanism that does not require you to set up a virtual machine on an emulation of physical hardware. (Oracle, 2015) Linux based containers are emerging cloud technologies based on fast and lightweight process virtualization. It offers users an environment near identical performance to a standard Linux distribution, as opposed to para virtualization solutions (Xen) and other hardware virtualization solutions such as KVM. • 3. Virtual Reality ( Vr ) After standing in line at Best Buy for over an hour, I was finally given the chance to try a new piece of technology I had been following for several years. They fastened a thick headset over my face and I was instantly transported to a different world. Here, my hands held a bow and arrow and I began to shoot countless enemies to defend a kingdom from certain ruin. I was now a part of something that what was once fantasy and now only possible in this alternate world. These digital universes are now possible thanks to the recent introduction of Virtual Reality(VR), a piece of tech that allows the user to enter digitally created realms. The technology consists of a headset (that a user would place on their head), which covers one s face and sight with a big thick dome. • 4. The Transformation Of Deportation Of Mass Extermination Robert Smith History 345 A TA Washnis 12/5/14 The Transformation from Deportation to Mass Extermination The legacy the Second World War is often inundated in a series of disparagements, condemnations, and outright disgust against the perpetrators of the industrial scale mass murder that was the Holocaust. This provides both positive and negative outcomes for those who seek to study the Holocaust and understand it from all angles. The demonization of key Nazi luminaries like Hitler and Himmler are highly appropriate given their ruthless and inhumane actions against European Jewry, ethnic minorities, their own German citizenry, and an international global standard of morality. Their reputations for inhumanity are well deserved. Nonetheless,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ultimately, these men in addition to Nazi collaborators, everyday people doing their duty, and Hitler s military machine were responsible for engineering the Holocaust. How did the goals change from expulsion to mass extermination? The answer is that unless Nazi ideology were to change, the contingencies of war made it a necessity. Germany and the Nazi regime had an expansive outline for the execution of their goals. A predominant force in their agenda was the notion of Judenpolitik, or how they would approach the treatment of European Jewry. The Nazis had drawn up plans for the island of Madagascar to house Europe s Jews, however, given the constraints of mass populations management, the Nazis settled for Ghettos as a provisional measure. The vehicle for dealing with the Jews in the early stages of the war was through a system of segregation in Europe, coined Ghettoization. These quasi internment camps acted as the Nazis main device to control the Jewish population, just short of exterminating them. In fact, the Nazis always strived to be rid of the Jewish population, however the jump from the notion of deportation to the wanton destruction of millions of lives through mass shootings, gassings, and savage work details was abrupt. Additionally, the fact that often the Germans were aided by collaborators in the lands they invaded should make ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Implementing Devolution And Strategic Hrm Essay MGMT 405 Critical Review Introduction (Bainbridge, 2015), analyses the point of devolution of people management to the line. Further he looks at how rationales and mediators can control how well a devolution process and strategic HR can be implemented into an organisation. Using a qualitative research technique, the author proves that the rationales have a direct impact on the mediators when it comes to the implementation of devolution into an organisation. The article by Bainbridge (2015) doesn t take into consideration that the HR managers themselves need to have the credibility and respected of the CEO and line managers to be able to effectively implement and maintain the devolution. My critique is that many organisations are not able to implement devolution and strategic HRM because the HR managers themselves do not have the needed credibility in the eyes of the CEO and line managers to make a success of it. Without the credibility HR ends up playing an advisory and administrative role and the CEO and line managers run the strategic aspect. Thesis statement Bainbridge (2015), states that in order to successfully implement devolution of people management to the line and thereby make HRM strategic within an organisation, there has to be flowing relationship between devolutional rationales, HR function attributes, line manager focused HR practices and people management effectiveness. These arguments are reasonable but the key component of credibility of HRM ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In Barbie Doll poem by Marge Piercy it is portrayed a young girl who was attacked by society because of having unruly features on her appearance and body. To make clear, Piercy uses the title Barbie Doll in her poem to symbolize the cultural American traditions of making young girls live in a fairy tale world; where everything they see or do is perfect. The girl in this poem played with Barbie toys since she was little, but when she reached her puberty people started to criticize her of having imperfections on her face and body; which made her commit a really wrong decision for herself. In today s society there are a large number of women having plastic surgery, because they do not feel comfortable or confident with their own appearances. Women are not just beauty queens and home makers; they should retreat from female stereotypes at a young age so they do not confront society pressure. Barbie s toys purpose of entertaining young girls is sarcastic, because the underlying theme behind them is destructive; since female stereotypes make the girls think they are as perfectly beautiful as the Barbie. In the beginning of the poem the author states various items that any young girl would have such as, dolls that imitated live children, dolls that did pee pee , mini stoves and irons to keep clothes neat, and wee lipsticks the color of cherry candy , the ... According to Al Shahri (2002), Islam means total obedience or submission to the true and one Allah (Allah is the Arabic name for God). The source of law in the Islamic legal system arising from Islam is the Qur an and Sunnah. The Qur an is the word of Allah as revealed to Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon him [PBUH]) through the angel Gabriel. Sunnah is the collection of words, actions, traditions, and deeds of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Islamis the way of life within the system of values that advocate forgiveness, peace, repentance, and mercy. These values are not only central to Islamic philosophy, but are universally held at the root of nursing care. Islamic Philosophy provides guidance on moral, spiritual, personal, social, political, and economic affairs for all aspects of Muslim s life (Rashidi Rajaram, 2001). There are many concepts important to the underlying philosophy in Islam. The idea of tawheed is central in Islam. Tawheed means unification and the Ones of God, which required maintaining God s unity in all human activities: practically, intellectually, and spiritually (Rassool, 2000). Islam defines human beings with specific paradigms, which include mind, soul and spirit, body, and heart. The practice of the Muslim life reflects these paradigms in the individual s relationship with Allah. According to Luna (1994), Tawheed implies that there is no separation of the spiritual dimension from the body: in other words, there is body mind unity. In the past, the rise of positivism resulted in the conceptual separation of mind and body and this concept then found its way into modern healthcare. According to Rashidi and Rajaram (2001), this separation of body and mind has had a negative influence on the holistic approach to providing nursing care (Rashidi Rajaram, 2001). In the Islamic philosophy of nursing care, this idea of positivism has been rejected. Muslims believe in predestination according to Allah s will. In the understanding of the spiritual life, there is a belief in life after death and a Day of Judgment. At that time, it is believed that Allah judge s people based on their deeds during earthly life. There are five ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 25. The Importance Of Reconstruction After The Civil War America has gone through many different struggles and positive changes. There have been so many different revolutionary moments in America. One of these revolutionary moments was Reconstruction after the civil war. Reconstruction had different periods such as Emancipation and Reconstruction, Presidential Reconstruction, Radical Reconstruction, and the Compromise of 1877. The period of Reconstruction had many goals and accomplishments. Reconstruction did come to an end and just like most revolutionary moments in history Reconstruction was labeled both a success and a failure. Though human equality was the main goal of the Reconstruction period in the South after the Civil War, it proved to be an attempted compromise that actually created more conflicts. Emancipation and Reconstruction was a time period where slavery was trying to come to an end. At the outset of the Civil War, to the dismay of the more radical abolitionists in the North, President Abraham Lincolndid not make the abolition of slavery a goal of the Union war effort ( Reconstruction. History.com). Lincoln did not believe slavery was morally wrong, though he did believe in the phrase All men are created equal. This did not mean he thought blacks and whites should have the same political and social standings. Lincoln created the Emancipation Proclamation , which was signed January 1st, 1863 because he did not want any state to rebel against the Union, so Lincoln said he would emancipate all slaves if these ... • 26. Network, Virtual Local Area Networks ( Vlans ) In the past, companies were hampered by the cost, performance, and security issues that are associated with local area networks or LANs. LANs must be connected physically to switches which means that each LAN must have its own switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13). The virtualized version of the LANs, virtual local area networks (VLANs), allows users to invest in only one switch (prtl.uhcl.edu, 2016, para. 13). The VLAN is used in a virtual data center environment to separate a single LAN into more than one network while being physically connected to only one switch. One advantage of VLANs is that network administrators can now sort devices by whatever criteria they require without physical location being an issue. Different VLANs can be set for different groups or departments within the same LAN. Performance is improved because, when the LAN is broken up into VLANs, it is not receiving broadcasts from all of the devices (certbros.com, 2015, para. 4). Cost is decreased because separate physical switches are not required for VLANs. A security benefit is provided because VLANs can be configured to accommodate the different security levels needed, and the administrator can choose whether or not to allow the VLANs to communicate with each other (certbros.com, 2015, para. 6). VRFs Virtualization is also used in the data center to acquire more routing instances without acquiring more hardware (Santana, 2014. P. 90). This technology is known as Virtual Routing and ... According to Turnbull and Paliwoda (2012) marketing revolves around the manner in which organisations communicate with consumers in the market. There are two main perspectives towards the understanding of what marketing is. From one perspective, it is the manner in which organisations communicate with their consumers regarding the existing products and also commication that is geared towards creating positive perceptions in the consumer market. Thus the approach points out that marketing is a tool used for value creation. The other perspective of marketing is more comprehensive as it encompases marketing as a tool and a process in the organization. with regards to this perspective, Challagalla, Murtha, and Jaworski (2014) define marketing as: the process of conception planning and execution, pricing, promotion and distribution of goods, ideas and services. This begins when Glass is talking to Gloria and he says that his piece is going Horrible and moves into a meeting with Amy and Caitlin where he says that they hate his piece, it s the worst thing he s ever wrote , and that he might as well kill himself . This all happening within the first ten minutes of the movie, was causing red flags to pop up in my head, wondering how he could be so self loathing and dramatic without anyone noticing. As the movie progresses, I can see that Glass is using his self loathing to manipulate his coworkers into helping him on his papers, dodging discipline from editors, and averting inquisitiveness away from his pieces. One of the key phrases that I noticed he always used was Did I do something wrong? Are you mad at me? which usually was reverberated with a resilient no . This stressed that he was emotionally manipulating his coworkers in order to get away with his falsified work. All of these actions are what I would consider a flawed person. I became aware of Faustus arrogance and his impatience with ordinary learning, particularly with his referral to law as a petty case of paltry legacies. He also constantly refers to himself as Faustus , reminding himself of his own importance. Other aspects of Faustus character are revealed in the descriptive language he uses. In Act 2, the good and bad angels return as a demonstration of both of Faustus opinions. Because Faustus is such a sensual person, he is more inclined to listen to the bad angel, which appeals to his material side. Faustus is unsure of his own decision and he pounces on anything that could be construed as a sign to him to stop in the selling of his soul. When he writes the bill damning his soul, and the blood congeals, Faustus wonders what might the staying of my blood portend? Faustus questions Mephostophilis, who cleverly sidesteps each question and appeals to Faustus sensual side by showing him a visual display of dancing devils and fireworks. Faustus is keen to believe in heaven but not in hell. Even though Faustus called to hell, and Mephostophilis is standing in front him as proof of the existence of hell, he does not truly believe his soul will be damned. Music s Impact On The Music Revolution Musical revolutions can be defined by three key aspects which are: the venues music was made in, the way the audience listened to the music, and the way the music was disseminated. These are unique in that there is no clear separation between them and at times some of the changes that have been made can impact all three at the same time. The age in which we live in is experiencing all of these aspects to one degree or another. It is difficult for someone my age to understand that we are living in a musicrevolution the likes of which has never been seen before. From what I have learned in the History of American Pop music class it seems that the venues which music has been made in will remain consistent for many years then drastically change. The first music industry we have learned of consisted of composers who would write music for the performers who would perform them with the possibility that someone in the audience could go to the music shop and purchase the sheet music with the intention to play it themselves. This aspect influenced the higher classes more than the lower classes since you would have to have money to see the concert, buy the music, and own an instrument to play it on. At that time there was no major companies who consistently put out music for the purpose of being consumed. The first time we can see this concept being readily applied would be in Tin Pan Alley.
