Argumentative Essay On Social Networking
Crafting an argumentative essay on the subject of social networking presents a multifaceted
challenge that delves into the intricate interplay between technology, human interactions, and
societal dynamics. The task demands not only a comprehensive understanding of the ever-
evolving landscape of social media but also the ability to critically analyze its impact on
individuals and communities.
Firstly, navigating through the vast and constantly changing realm of social networking
platforms requires in-depth research to stay current with the latest trends, features, and
controversies. The rapid evolution of these platforms adds an extra layer of complexity, as what
may be relevant and influential today might be overshadowed or outdated tomorrow. Therefore,
staying abreast of the latest developments is crucial to presenting a well-informed and timely
argument.
Moreover, the essay must delve into the psychological and sociological aspects of social
networking. This involves exploring the ways in which these platforms shape individual
behavior, influence social norms, and impact interpersonal relationships. Analyzing studies and
scholarly articles is essential to substantiate claims and provide a nuanced understanding of the
psychological and societal implications.
Developing a coherent and persuasive argument also necessitates addressing the myriad
perspectives on social networking. Recognizing the diverse opinions and experiences people have
with these platforms adds another layer of complexity. Striking a balance between
acknowledging the positive aspects of social networking, such as fostering connections and
disseminating information, while also critiquing the potential negative consequences, such as
privacy concerns and the spread of misinformation, requires a nuanced approach.
In addition, constructing a compelling argument involves honing one's writing skills to
effectively communicate ideas. Crafting a well-structured essay with a clear introduction,
logically organized body paragraphs, and a strong conclusion is crucial. Developing persuasive
and articulate arguments, supported by evidence and examples, is essential to convincing the
reader of the essay's thesis.
In conclusion, composing an argumentative essay on social networking demands a blend of
technological literacy, sociological insight, and effective writing skills. Navigating through the
complexities of this topic requires continuous research, critical analysis, and a nuanced
understanding of the multifaceted issues at hand. Despite the challenges, the process of crafting
such an essay provides an opportunity to engage deeply with contemporary societal issues.

MANAGEMENT
Activity 1
Explain at least 2 purposes of performance management and its relationship to
business objectives.
The performance management process is a key component of an organisation overall
approach to the management of its people. As part of the performance management
system, performance management aims to achieve the following:
* To enable an individual to know exactly what is expected of them i.e. agreed
objectives and appropriate behaviors. * To enable an individual to identify and meet
personal development needs. * To enable the organisation to audit the capabilities of
its staff.

Individual growth which can be investing in people, learning opportunities through
training programs and career opportunities through new jobs and promotion.
Total pay which can be a form of statement of total reward which can include: salary,
variable pay, additional benefits and performance related pay.
Worklife which can be workplace flexibility, paid and unpaid leave, health and well
being, caring for dependants, financial support and community involvement.

In the modern age where business is spread globally the challenges in front of an
organization are highly complex as the competition intensifies. Due to the complexity
in the organizational management the older system methodology seems to become
less relevant and sparingly less useful in these situations. These issues led to the
introduction of complexityparadigm (Amagoh, 2008). Complexity theory was derived
from the chaos and systems theoryto show how a system is not confined in its
boundaries and the growth or fall of an organization or a system depends upon how it
is able to adapt and change to various situations.
Complexity in an organization can be defined as the heterogeneity or diversity in the
internal environment factors like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike the general systems theory stating that the organizations strive to achieve
equilibrium complexity theory states that the equilibrium state would mean the death
of an organization. The very essence of life is to change and transform according to
the need of the moment like Samsung took into Smartphone market with vigor
transforming them into the technology giants they are at the moment.
Another difference between the General system theory and the complexity theory is
the boundary. While in the case of general system theory a fixed boundary is defined
for each system there is no fixed boundary as explained in the complexity theory. The
boundaries keep changing along continually. As per complexity theory a bounded
instability state between rigidity and chaos is the perfect building block for growth
and creativity in a team (The Complexity Advantage, Kelly and Alison).
There are two principle ideas which the complexity theory works on. The first is
based on the structure of an organization with a trade of between the efficiency and
flexibility of an organizational structure. This addresses that a system should be
partially connected rather than a completely coupled or decoupled system (Kauffman,
1995; Langton, 1990; Gell Mann, 1994a). According to many when a system is over
connected the ability to adapt to changing situations becomes

displays the war in middle east vividly. The story began when the bomb tech team
leader Sergeant Thompson was killed in an accident. Sergeant James was there to
replaced him and the movie was reflecting on various conflicts that the tech team has
encountered. Although hurt locker alludes to the typical hollywood heroism and
patriotism, in fact, it actually suggested how war is terrible and how it destroy
people by delivering 3 sub ideas how weak and small a person s life is, the
misunderstanding between 2 cultures, and the conflict between responsibility and

* Credit or Default Risk Credit risk is the risk that a company or individual will be
unable to pay the contractual interest or principal on its debt obligations. This type
of risk is of particular concern to investors who hold bonds in their portfolios.
Government bonds, especially those issued by the federal government, have the least
amount of default risk and the lowest returns, while corporate bonds tend to have the
highest amount of default risk but also higher interest rates. Bonds with a lower
chance of default are considered to be investment grade, while bonds with higher

How long you intend to invest If you were investing for 12 months or less, a

But it would also mean you wouldn t diversify your investment. Your risk profile
As a general rule, how you diversify your investments has a lot to do with how well
you understand the relationship between risk and return and the level of risk and
return you re looking for. How much money you have to invest If you are investing
just a few thousand dollars it may not be cost effective to diversify your money
across more than one asset class as the transaction fees may eat up any earnings
you make. Managed funds are an effective way to diversify with small and large

The Four Stages Of Adolescence
Adolescence is the distinct transitional stage between childhood and adulthood in
human development, extending primarily over the teenage years and terminating
legally when the age of majority is reached (Rathus, 2014). However in some
instances, this biological, cognitive, social and emotional maturity may not be
reached until a later stage and may be dictated by gender. Adolescenceis characterised
by rapidly changing and unpredictable behaviour (Freud, as cited in Rathus 2014),
heightened and unstable emotions (Hall, as cited in Rathus 2014), disturbances in
identity, the gradual development of one s moral reasoning (Kohlberg, as cited in
Rathus, 2014) and the gradual establishment of one s independence. Several of these
changes may occur at differing phases in adolescent growth. This development is
categorized into three separate stages; early adolescence, middle adolescence, and
late adolescence. Early Adolescence, commencing from the ages of eleven or twelve
until the age of fourteen, comprises of several features such as rapid biological
development and maturity, heightened stress levels and limited coping capabilities.
On the other hand, middle adolescence, from the approximate age of fourteen to
sixteen, involves the gradual cease of biological change, an increase in coping
strategies and declined stress levels. Furthermore, late adolescence, commencing from
the age of sixteen until the age of eighteen or nineteen, encompasses physical
maturity, whereby the

To what degree did the United Farm Workers Association improve the conditions of
farmworkers in California.
Introduction:
In 1910 mexicans fled from Mexico to work in agriculture in America, they labored
in inhumane conditions and the people they worked for ignored state laws on
working conditions (Tavaana). This is how the farm workers would work before the
United Farm WorkersUnion came along. They didn t have the rights they deserved,
they were treated however the growers would like to treat them because they
would go around the law and do what they wanted. Farm workers didn t have
unions and the rights that they do now back in 1910. Research has been done on
this topic on how them migrating started, on how they were treated, and how it has
gotten better over the years. This topic is important because it discusses some of the
history of Mexican immigrants. It also demonstrates some challenges they went
through when they came to the United States to find work. My study of the topic is
important because it will give some background information on how the farm
workers were brought and how they were treated. After I will bring in Cesar Chavez
and his contributions to helping the farm workers. Lastly I will be talking about his
negative contribution which isn t talked about that often and comparing it with the
positive. My investigation fits into broader questions in the subject because it is
taking two different points of views and comparing them to each other. I choose
The And Non Proliferation Education
This is how, through reports from 2002 to 2014 the advances in the field can be
observed in two concrete points, first Mexico leadership, advocacy and voice in the
regional and international stage in the promotion of DNPE has solidified. Second, the
incorporation of training courses and outreach activities at a local level reinforces the
interest of educating the decision makers and raising awareness within the society.
Which ultimately contributes to the regional advocacy for peace by becoming a point
of reference in the region where new generations can receive education in the field. It
is important to highlight that Mexico has brought in to the debate NPDE and had

As well within OPANAL Mexico pushed forward a resolution that calls on member
states to implement the recommendations of the UN Study on Disarmament and Non
Proliferation Education and to continue the task of disseminating the essence and
importance of Tlatelolco Treaty. In a subsequent resolution of OPANAL, the General
Conference expressed its satisfaction with the work done by the organization in the
matter of DNPE and calls the General Secretary of the organization to continue with
the diffusion of the treaty within civil society and academic institutions as a way of
contributing with peace education. But due to financial restrictions some of the
activities in the field as the course The Nuclear Challenge had to be postponed.
Mexico has play a relevant role in the working group which seeks to review and
analyze the future implementation on educational activities through OPANAL, and
further more in recent years has complemented OPANAL work and even filled the
vacuum left by the regional organization in the matter of DNPE. Within the
framework of the Organization of American States, Mexico has introduced an
encouraged the members states to implement the recommendations made by the UN
Study on disarmament and nonproliferation education. As well Mexico had presented
three drafts resolution in 2006, 2008 and 2010 to implement concrete measures for
the promotion and spread of DNPD in the hemisphere. In that sense, Mexico has

Symbolism And Communication In Hills Like White
Elephants,...
For some people, there isn t a lot of thought to difficult decisions that have to be
made. Some people are able to decide certain, crucial things, without feeling
pressure or any stress. However, there are some people who are very indecisive and
very hesitant to make difficult decisions. Hills Like White Elephants, by Ernest
Hemingwayis a story about a distant couple struggling to make a demanding,
challenging agreement about an operation that needs to be done. Identified only as
the girl/Jig and the American, the couple sit down at a bar and try a new drink,
something they do often, while the American subsequently brings up the operation. It
is clear that the operation is definitely what he wants, however the girl isn t sure and
is very indecisive about what she wants. In Hills Like White Elephants , Hemingway
utilizes symbolism and characterization to reveal the complexity of difficult decision
making and communicationto illustrate that in a relationship one must effectively
communicate in order to avoid unnecessary distance. Hemingway utilizes the
symbolism of white elephants to illustrate the difficulties of decision making and lack
of communication in a relationship. After primarily seeing the comparison in the hills
and white elephants, the girl changes her perspective. They re lovely hills , she said.
They don t really look like white elephants. I just meant the coloring of their skin
through the trees. Should we have another drink? Alright (Hemingway 2).

Thus, as the Blu ray player is a compliment to physical DVD s, and the Blu ray

Retail spending on discs remained strong, indicating that physical and digital

Stereotypes Of Domestic Violence
One of the major efforts of the domestic violence movement, from the beginning, has
been to debunk commonly believed stereotypes and myths about domestic violence.
This is important because an accurate awareness of the issue cannot occur within
society if the general public believes that domestic violence is a problem that only
affects certain groups of people and is therefore not in need of attention since it is not
that common. In addition, one of the easiest ways to acquire an overall understanding
of the basic elements of domestic violenceis to debunk commonly believed
stereotypes. For example, it is commonly believed that domestic violenceonly affects
certain populations. As mentioned above, domestic violence occurs across all
cultures, religions, ethnicities, income levels, sexual orientations, age groups, and
education levels. Another myth is that domestic violence is not a common or serious
problem when in fact, in the United States, a woman is battered every 9 seconds
(NCVC, 2008). Another myth is that domestic violence is caused by substance abuse.

The fact is that it is often very difficult for an abuse victim to end the relationship.
Victims stay with the batterer for many reasons, including but not limited to
economic constraints, child issues, fear, and intimidation. People also assume that as
soon as a victim leaves her abuser, she is safe. In reality, abuse victims are in the
most danger after the relationship has ended. Another commonly accepted myth is
that battering incidents are isolated behaviors. In reality, batterers use a cycle of
power and control to keep their partner in the relationship. Abuse rarely happens just
once. It can happen often, or only once a year, but most physical violence continues
to escalate and happens more often as the relationship

Panama uses US dollar as currency since 1904 so that dollarization results in low

the tourism industry contributed $1.45 billion dollars to the nation s economy. This
amount represents 9.5 percent of Panama s total Gross Domestic Product, making it
the largest single industry in the country (Panama Canal Cruise). By comparison, in

A Life Of A Nursing Home
About two years ago, my Oma started getting sick. She was going downhill fast and
could no longer get around her apartment by herself. My dad and his sister decided
it was best to put her in a home. The book mentions that sometimes elders will
resist care and my Oma resisted going into a nursing home. She hated every
nursing home that was shown to her and acted as if she could care for herself. She
eventually settled on a nursing home since she realized she was getting to weak to
get around on her own. My dad lived in Ohio and his sister and mom were in
Vancouver, Canada, so my dad could not help care for his mom and visit while she
was in the nursing home. This means, since his sister lived closer and was able to
help that she had to handle most of the care. Just like the book mentions, a woman
is usually in charge of care work and is willing to help especially if they live close by.
His sister was a social worker who had the personality for care work and the book
states that women tend to be more caring and able to handle care work. His sister
would go to the nursing home on almost a daily basis and often took my Oma out of
the home to attend her familyevents. My Oma was difficult because she did not enjoy
being in a home but my aunt did not have the ability to care for her and her house.
My Oma was declining quickly and was starting to develop dementia. She would
often forget where she was or would speak German instead of English. She would

Psychodynamic counselling has a long history and vast literature to condense so

and with particular focus on four psychologists: Freud, Jung, Adler and Klein.
The primary purpose of psychodynamic counselling is to help clients make sense of
current situations; of memories associated with present experience, some of which
spring readily to mind, others which may rise to consciousness as the counselling
develops; and of the images that appear in fantasies and dreams. (Jacobs)

So it is possible to say I don t like her behaviour which is about a relationship in the
external world or to say I don t feel like my usual self today which suggests a
relationship between two parts of the self, the dynamic of the internal world.
Great importance is attached to past experiences and feelings. Aspects (objects) of the
psyche develop in parallel with external relationships in childhood, i.e., with mother
and father. In addition, the childhood perception of experiences, feelings and
relationships may not match reality, so such perceptions are significant.
Object relations theory
A third type of relationship is added to those of the outer and inner worlds, to non

The activity is going on all the time, but is increased in some circumstances in
stressful and anxious times, in dreams.
The Unconscious
Freud identified the unconscious, the preconscious and the conscious in terms of
mental activity. Within the unconscious are thoughts, experiences and feelings which
are not easily accessible but which have great influences on the current mental
activity in the conscious. Memories, half forgotten, but easy to access offer a route to
the unconscious, thus belonging to the preconscious.
Feelings such as grief and anger can remain in the unconscious and remain

America has faced a lot of hardships since being created by our founding fathers.
We experienced the struggle for freedom, westward expansion, and a nation
divided upon itself. However, one of the biggest struggles faced in America is
segregation, racism, and the division of people against each other. Since the Civil
War it has been one of the greatest conflicts in our nation s history. Black vs. White
is an issue that has been debated from the early beginning of our nation to the civil

California Department Of Transportation ( Caltrans ) Essay
Thank you for providing the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) the
opportunity to review and comment on the Initial Study and Notice of Preparation
of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the City of Colton Roquest Ranch
Specific Plan (Project), located west of La Cadena Drive and north of Center Street in
the City of Colton. The project proposes to develop the 336.2 acre site with up to
1,050 residential dwelling units, 1.2 acres of neighborhood commercial use, 22.3
acres of recreational open space, 199.7 acres of open space, a 0.8 acre fire station
site, and a 10.3 acre school site.
As the owner and operator of the State Highway System (SHS), it is our
responsibility to coordinate and consult with local jurisdictions when proposed
development may impact our facilities. As the responsible agency under the California
Environmental Quality Act, it is also our responsibility to make recommendations to
offset associated impacts with the proposed project. Although the project is under the
jurisdiction of the City of Colton, due to the project s potential impact to the State
facilities, including Interstate 10, Interstate 215, State Route 60, and State Route 91,
it is also subject to the policies and regulations that govern the SHS.
In the preceding Environmental Impact Report (EIR), we recommend a scoping
meeting prior to the preparation of the Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) to discuss any
potential issues and accurately evaluate the extent of
Emotional Intelligence ( Ei )
Emotional Intelligence (EI) or the ability to understand my own emotions and
others emotions was an ability I had underestimated before taking this course.
However, after learning about emotional intelligence s relevance to the business
environment, and how it effects every interaction and decision I make, I have
suddenly become very aware of my own emotional intelligence. Based on the
results from the assessment of EI, I scored a 42 out of 50. This means that I have a
high EI and an aptitude for reading and understanding my own emotions and the
emotions of others. Further interpretation of my results found that I scored 5 s or
the highest EI on my awareness of my own feelings and my ability to pick up on
subtle social cues. I will try to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is a weakness that I will need to progress, because being able to make
connections and hold conversation with business professionals from a variety of
backgrounds is crucial to networking. In order to find common ground with
professionals that have different backgrounds I will need to be observant and grow
my common knowledge pool and therefore increase my common ground. Also,
preparing before networking conversations with topics and ideas that spark
conversation regardless of background can be an important tool in increasing my EI.
All my life I have been raised in a faith based home and my personal values have
been molded and shaped from the experience of religion. My upbringing was in a
strict home where religion, recognition, and preparation for future success were
emphasized and instilled. Unsurprisingly, I found my results to the terminal value
survey aligned with the strict Christian values I was raised with. However, my results
to the instrumental value survey were more independent, aligning with my personality
strengths and interests rather then how I was raised. My highest ranked instrumental
values included being responsible, intellectual, and helpful. On the other hand, my
top three terminal values consisted of salvation, a comfortable life, and social
recognition. Salvation comes from my childhood and going to church, the belief in a

Fbi s Uniform Crime Report
Surprise, AZ (November 1, 2012) The City of Surprise had the second lowest rate
of property crime and violent crime in 2011 among the largest cities in Maricopa
County, based on the city s analysis of the latest FBI statistics (Arthur, n.d.). Could
social economic play a role in Surprise, Arizona s low violent and property crime
rate? Or could it be sufficient guardians set in place formal (police, security guards,
etc.) and/or informal (neighbor, friends and others, etc.)? According to the FBI s
Uniform Crime Report for 2011 as analyzed the Surprise Police Department, Surprise
recorded 1.09 violent crimes and 21.79 property crimes per 1,000 residents last year
(Arthur, n.d.).
However, according to that same report from the FBI s Uniform Crime Report for
2011, the violent crime in Phoenix, AZ is at 5.51 and the property crime rate is at
43.98, that is a drastic difference. First of all, population is a key factor why crime
is more prevalent in the Phoenix area. Given that, Surprise is 160 % less densely
populated than Phoenix (Sperling, (2016). Another key point is marriage, the family
structure that gives stability to children. People are 19% more likely to be married in
Surprise (Sperling, (2016). Having a mother and father in the home is very influential
for juveniles (potential offenders).
As a matter of fact, juveniles rebel when parents divorce. Psychologist have been

Culture And Japanese Culture
Culture. The arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement
regarded collectively. The dictionary definition seems a little harsh, so let s fix that.
Culture. Something that we are all born into, one that we can t escape, but it doesn t
define who we are as a person most of the time. You can t just look at somebody,
somebody who might be Japanese for example, and just blatantly expect that person
to become the next doctor or lawyer. Just because a cultureis well known or
stereotypically seen to be something, doesn t mean the individual bearing that
culture has to live up to those standards. That Japanese person could want to be the
next New York Best Selling author or just a mere teacher because that s what
interests them. Nobody s future is set in stone the second they come into the
world, nor does it come easy as their lives go on. Sure, culture has some helping
guidelines to what they should do in their lives, maybe it be the habits or nature of
Japanese parents always pushing you to do your best, or it s just the different
cultures of a family. Sometimes there are people born into two or more cultures,
and they have to come to the conclusion that they can be any amount of any culture
they want. Just because you re born in America but come from a long line of
Mexicans doesn t mean you can t be both. Ok yes, sometimes it s hard to fit in with
both cultures because both cultures see you as the other, but it s not their choice to
define who you are and what you believe in. It s your job to come to that
conclusion on your own and you must make that decision that you are proud of.
Sometimes people can be cruel, judging you based on looks rather than personality
or morals, but it s just the way of life. How you choose to handle that as time goes
on is the only thing that matters. No matter what the case, culture still plays a minor
role in the scripting of your life but remember, you re the author with the pen. You
are in charge of writing your life story. Nobody else.

Climate Change And Its Effect On The Environment
Climate change is an issue that has the potential to affect the environment,
communities and the world economy. Scientists advise climate change will cause
increases to the likelihood of extreme weather events. Rising sea levels are at
significant risk to coastal areas and communities, while the world s oceans could
become acidic which would destroy and fail to support coral reefs and other marine
organisms (Climate ChangeAustralia Dept. Of The Environment 2014). The main
cause of climate change, which is also known as Global Warming, is widely spread. It
is mostly caused by the emission of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases are released
into the atmosphere in many ways; including through the burning of fossil fuels and
by deforestation... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Australia s electricity emissions are high because we mostly rely (77%) on coal for
electricity and coal is the most greenhouse intensive fuel (WWF). Australia has the
highest per capita greenhouse gas emissions. The per capita carbon footprint in
Australia was rated 12th in the world by PNAS in 2011, considerably large when
taking into account the small population of the country. According to the CSIRO and
Garnaut Climate Change Review, climate change is expected to have multiple effects
on many species, regions, activities and infrastructure and areas of the economy and
public health in Australia. The Australian Climate Commission (closed as of 2013)
had created reports to highlight the likely impacts of climate change according to
different regions. According to these reports in 2012, heat waves, bush fires and
flooding will only get worse and intensify each time because of the climate change.
This will worsen the impacts on people, property, communities and the environment.
Australia s high fire risk increases the risks related to change in temperature and
climate. Australia s population is highly condensed in coastal areas, and Australia s
tourism industry depends on the health of the Great Barrier Reef and other fragile
ecosystems (Pittock, Barry 2007). Australia has one of the worlds largest and
diverse ecosystems, this poses an extreme threat because these ecosystems are most
fragile and are at risk of damage if exposed to climate change. The
Advantages Of Moving To Oregon
Hi Pa and Ma! I have reached Oregon and it is such an amazing place with so many
advantages. You must move to Oregon and come live here. One reason why you
should move to Oregon is because the soil is very fertile. There is a vast amount of
land here that is available for farming. This is a benefit because fertile soil can result
in more farming. When farming flourishes, food can grow and families can make
money by eating food or selling them to others. Another reason why you should move
to Oregonis to escape the amount of debt that we have to pay in Virginia. Coming
here is a good idea because we do not have to pay our debts and can start a new life.
Since there is so much land, farming is such an easy thing to do here. If farming does
Hierarchies In The Workplace
What are the reasons that hierarchies emerge in organizations? What about the roles
and the nature of this emergence? Does this aid in structuring these organizations
/work areas? In this essay, I will be relating the description of activities that take
place in an early industrial pin factory from Adam Smith s Wealth of Nations to the
organizing and structuring of work. The relation will be described done by
examining the division and specialization of labour, requirements that lead to the
need for coordination, Horizontal and Vertical Differentiation required for
coordination and how structure/hierarchyarises and if it is in fact needed.
We can see that through the division and specialization of labour that Adam Smiths

Just as the pin factory example showed, the one task of creating a pin was broken
down into multiple roles/subunits (Horizontal Differentiation) and just as these tasks
can be simplified and more efficient by dividing them into roles and subunits, they
need to people coordinate them. These people can range from a simple manager of a
subunit, all the way to the owner of the organization, creating an organizational
hierarchy (Vertical Differentiation). When these processes and forms of coordination
work together, this is what drives the building of the organization as a whole. The
extent of which is determined by the organizations structure.
Structure and hierarchy come from how work and the work processes are coordinated
together and relating how tasks and coordination of these tasks is to be obtained.
When determining the authority in the structure of an organization, there are two
major options, centralized and decentralized. A centralized organizational setup is
where the authority to make important decisions is retained by managers at the top of
the created hierarchy whereas a decentralized organizational setup is where the
authority to make important decisions about organizational resources and to initiate
new projects is delegated to managers at all levels in the hierarchy. Each choice is
made based upon the main goal/task of the organization and what would better fit the
organization. Whether work/the

Coyote
Native Americans have a very interesting culture, so you should take some time and
read about what I have to say. The stories The First False Face , The Origin of The
Buffalo and the Corn , and The Coyote all have many similarities, but a couple things
are different.
The moon rises with it s reflection shown in the water. Stones tied the neck of a
coyote. The coyote leaps into the water. Nothing comes up not even a few bubbles
to show there is life from the coyote. No movement is shown except for the little
blue fox staring at the water. The fox walks away while the coyote stays in the cold
dark water. In the stories The First False Face , The Origin of The Buffalo and the
Corn , and The Coyote , they all have wild animals. The First False Face , The
Origin of The Buffalo and the Corn , and The Coyote all have Native Americans
tribes in their stories. All of these stories mentioned above have many similarities so
I decided to list a few. In The First False Face it talks about the Seneca tribe. In The
Origin of The Buffalo and the Corn in talks about the myth of the Cheyenne tribe, and
in The Coyote it talks about the Pueblo tribe. The second similarity is that in all the
stories it they have something to do with magic. The story The First False Face it
has characters that can move mountains and in reality that could never be done. In
the story The Origin of The Buffalo and the Corn it has an old lady making food out
of nothing sand filling up bowls.
Sound Recording In Canada
Sound Recording in Canada, not regulated by the Government
Introduction
Sound recording was initially invented in 1857 by Edouard Leon Scott de Martinville.
The development of sound recording has gone through multiple stages to become
what it is today. From phonographs to magnetic tapes and further developments,
sound recording has been used within the music industry for ages. The government
does not regulate the process of sound recording, however conflicts regarding
copyright infringements are present.

Broadcasting is $14 billion industry that includes radio and television, as well as
the distribution services of cable, satellite, and, increasingly the Internet and mobile
devices (Gasher, Skinner, Lorimer 218). The Canadian government regulates
broadcasting because it serves national, cultural, and political goals (Gasher,
Skinner, Lorimer 219). The reason for comparing regulations between sound
recording and broadcasting is the fact that a great proportion of radio broadcasting
is recorded music. There is a significant symbiosis between radio broadcast policy
and policies designed to encourage the production and dissemination of Canadian
music (Gasher, Skinenr, Lorimer 225). Radio broadcasters are required to have a
license in order to broadcast music through their channel. The Canadian Radio
television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) is in charge of issuing
these licenses to broadcasters. Today, the CRTC s duties in the broadcasting field
include: issuing and renewing licenses, up to a maximum of seven years, modifying
existing license conditions, and suspending or revoking licenses (Gasher, Skinner,
Lorimer 221). It is evident that the use of sound recordings within the field of
broadcasting is strictly regulated. This further develops an idea that the sound
recording industry will become regulated within the future, as it is present in such a

Social cliques are a natural thing in all high schools. Have you ever thought about
what cliques do to our society? Do you even know what a clique is, well a clique is
a small, exclusive groups of friends who share common traits and common interest.
As teenagers grow into adolescence, they face a number of challenges including
peer pressure, school, social cliques, drama, and many other things that come with
the process of growing up (Giang para. 1). This changes their social life with the
world. Social cliques are part of human nature and can t be stopped if they re going
to happen naturally. But everyone felt secure about themselves as individuals, I
suppose there wouldn t be any in group or out group cliques (Giang para. 7) This is

Orval Marries Virginia Anderson (1964)
In 1964, Orval marries Virginia (Hubschmidt) Anderson on Friday, September 4.
Orval announces that his son, Michael, will have to be placed in a home. Orval s
children, Jerry and Gwen, become somewhat estranged from their father for
immediately falling in love with Virginia less than a month after their mother s death

married Virginia only four months after the death of his first wife, adds to their
feelings of alienation.
In preparing for the marriage, Orval goes to rectory at St. Teresa s in Belleville to

Essay on Roman Persecution of Christians
From the third to the fourth century, the Roman Empire witnessed a widespread
attempt to stop the spread of Christianity. Initially, leaders of the church were
predominately targeted, but later anyone admitting to Christianity became a target.
The persecutions hit a climax during Diocletian s reign. These persecutions actually
helped the spread of Christianityby glorifying Christians and beginning a tradition of
martyrdom that shaped the Church, and the strength that Christians displayed shows
that the persecutions could not have possible stopped the spread of Christianity. In
the first half of the third century, Christian persecution was fragmented and while
Christianity was illegal, there is not evidence that it was widely persecuted.... Show

This also persisted throughout the fourth century. Often, enforcement of persecution
laws was really left up to local officials. There are reports of terrible and unrelenting
persecution in some areas, while there are no reports at all in others. Additionally,
issues at the border throughout this time often plagued emperors, so it was
impossible to ensure that their edicts were universally carried out. As a result, the
empire simply was not equipped to completely halt the spread of Christianity.
Because Christianity could not be completely purged by the Empire, it created an
opportunity for Christians to display how strongly they were devoted to the religion.
The way in which they responded made all the difference. Under pressure, they would
not submit, and this was proof of the force and influence of Christianity.
During the persecutions, churches and scripture were destroyed. Many were killed
and tortured. Despite this, many remained brave and unafraid according to accounts.
The idea of redemption and a magnificent afterlife led many Christians to almost
fervently pursue martyrdom. These martyrs were glorified, and miracles were
reported to have occurred in their presence. They refused to reject Christ and, in turn,
were subjected to torture and humiliation. Eusebius describes the proceedings during
the Great Persecution: ...the rules in question brought a certain man into a public
place and commanded him to sacrifice. When he refused,
Similarities Between Wilfred Owen And Siegfried Sassoon
The poet Siegfried Sassoon saw that war was destructive and it should not happen
because it was a waste of human life, Sassoon described the horror of war
unsparingly, also, his poems were often based on actual incidents. Wilfred Owen
focused his poetry on the particulars of war and the men involved: dirt, muddle,
boredom etc, Owen often wrote about the horror of war and the dignity of men. He
deeply felt a sense of the appalling wastefulness of war, casualties and the human
spirit. The similarities between these two poets are they both tried to record realistic
horrors of the war; to have it stopped. They were both angry at the war s brutality,
they were also showed very compassionate studies of the circumstances of fighting
men.
The connection I made between these 2 texts is that they both experienced death,
these texts are Memorial Tablet by Siegfried Sassoon and Dulce et Decorum Est by
Wilfred Owen. In the poem Memorial tablet, Siegfried Sassoon wrote about a man
being forced to fight in the war, the man fought for two bleeding years , but this
man was shot My wound was slight, I was hobbling back; and then a shell Burst
slick upon the duckboards: so I fell Into the bottomless mud, and lost the light. . In
Dulce et Decorum Est Wilfred Owen watched a man choke to death by gas, Wilfred
Owen screamed Gas! Gas! Quick, boys! But he could hear someone screaming But
someone still was yelling out and stumbling And flound ring like a man in fire or

Any inappropriate information included in the message can lead to misunderstanding
and misinterpretation by the receiver. Organisations spend a lot of money and time
on market research to understand the needs and demand and the extent of the
understanding of their consumers (Fill, 2002).
Signal and Channel:
Encoded message has to be put in form of signal that is capable of being transmitted.
Channel is the means through which the message is to be transmitted to the receiver
from the source. Channel can be personal or non personal. Non personal channel is
may be mass media advertising which can reach a large number of audiences at a
time where personal channels such as face to face contacts and word of mouth
communication can be much more effective and influential and that s probably
because these communications are more flexible and can change with the
circumstances.
Decoding, Receiver and Realms of Understandings:
After receiving the message the receiver(s), the target audience interprets the message
and converts into thought. This process is called decoding. There are few factors that
influence and impact this process namely, experiences, perceptions, attitudes,
behaviour and values of both source and receiver. It is more likely to have a
successful communication if the source and receiver understand each other or have
some common ground in the realms of understandings. Before any organisations go
for any advertising they research the realms of
The United States Department Of Labor
The use of contingent workers is an ever increasing practice in today s business
world. The United States Department of Labor (2013) views the same as both sound
advancement and reason for worry. This paper will explore the history, theories,
implications for leaders, and relative trends of this class of workers.
Businessdictionary.com (2015) states that a contingent worker is a Temporary
employee who is (1) hired for contingent work, (2) paid according to hours worked,
and (3) draws no benefits that are commonly available to the regular employees . The
contingent workforce consists of temporary, part time, independent contractors,
seasonal, college interns, and leased workers. Often confusion is present in labeling
employees and independent contractors accurately. According to the IRS (2015) an
individual is an independent contractor if the payer has the right to control or direct
only the result of the work and not what will be done and how it will be done. Under
common law rules, anyone who performs services for you is your employee if you
can control what will be done and how it will be done (IRS, 2015).
The employing of contingent workers is an intentional business decision by
companies. The search for greater flexibility, in terms of numbers of employees and
in terms of the skills those employees possess, is the main reason reported by
companies for the increasing use of contingent workers. (Daly, 2013) According to
the Department of Labor (2015), employers
Marcia Langton s Study of the Aborigines of Australia
Dr. Marcia Langton, an anthropologist from Australia of Australian Aborigines
descent, spoke at the Berndt s lecture in 2011. Her article, Anthropology, Politics and
the Changing World of Aboriginal Australians, focuses primarily on the works of an
anthropologist couple Robert and Catherine Berndt. They had completed many
ethnographic studies in various areas around Australia. Langton states that their work
has been crucial in order to have a complete understanding of the Australian
Aborigines society. The indigenous Australian s society has been thoroughly
researched by many social sciences through the decades. Artworks, religion, rituals,
economy, politics, and even claims of UFO sightings have been recorded by a
multitude of scholars.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I am not sure why this has become such an issue for Australian anthropologists and
other anthropologists studying them. E. E Evans Pritchard, anthropologist,
ethnographer and author of Witchcraft, Oracles, and Magic Among the Azande, was
not of the Azande culture, yet his work has been monumental for modern
ethnographers. Langton herself attempts to immediately put this myth to rest in the
first paragraph of her lecture, There is a simplistic view that because I am
Aboriginal, being a descendant of the Yiman people in Central Queensland, I would
have a better understanding of Aboriginal societies than, say, the Berndts did. This
is not the case, as I shall explain (Langton 2011: 1 2). Langton goes on to express
her perspective about why it is incorrect to believe that just because someone is of a
specific culture, they are not experts in their society. For example, I am of Cherokee
descent but I am certainly no expert on the Cherokee Nation. In another article by
Langton s predecessor, R.M. Berndt, entitled Die Religionen der Sudsee und

pointed out a lot of misconstrued information. Berndt states the Professor Petri, one

Many of those ideas have been reflected on The Happiness Plunge by Adam Pervez
when he explains how living the American dream and still not being happy can be
very difficult. Of course, all parents always have that specific sport we want our
children to play, for example, if you have a boy football is one of the number one
choices for our children to play. But what about if it s not atisfying our child, like
to them it dosnt make them happy. In The Happiness Plunge, Perez talks about
how he was a field engennier, a business development specialist but it still wasn t
enough. This reflects the udea of your son bring the best quarter back of the team,
compared to other football teams he s still the best but he dosnt look forward to
going to practice, or getting out onto the field, to him it s just something he feels
he has to do. This idea is reflected in Pervez article when he says I was following a
script for success written by someone else, or by society (Pervez). A lot of the time
parents unintentionally have their children follow a script that they were taught by
their parents. Parents are raising their children in a consensus reality which is a
reality that has been created by culture through practices, behaviors, shared beliefs,
rules and artifacts. Moreover, instead of parents letting their children choose to try
something they are intesred in or they try different things they have to stick to a
script or to something they feel is correct. In another example, Pervez tells how he
identified writing, traveling, telling stories, and helping others were his passions
and decided to take the happiness plunge where to him, there [was] more to life
than the American Dream we ve been sold. In other words, parents tend to stick to
specific sport for their sons to playbeing that s the ideal sport for boys according to
society, so naturally that s what e have to
Brave New World Introduction
BRAVE NEW WORLD Introduction
This novel was written by Aldous Huxley in 1932.
It is a fable about a world state in the 7th century A.F. (after Ford), where social
stability is based on a scientific caste system. Human beings, graded from highest
intellectuals to lowest manual workers, hatched from incubators and brought up in
communal nurseries, learn by methodical conditioning to accept they social destiny.
The action of the story develops round Bernard Marx, and an unorthodox and
therefore unhappy alpha plus ( something had presumably gone wrong with his
antenatal treatment), who vivits a new Mexican Reservetion and brings a savage
back to London. The savage is at first fascinated by the New World, but finally

state. There is no war, poverty or crime. Society is stratified by genetically
predestined caste. Intellectually superior Alphas are the top dogs. Servile,
purposely, brain damaged Gammas, Deltas and Epsilons toil away at the bottom.
The lower orders are necessary in BNW because Alphas could allegedly never be
happy doing menial jobs. It is not explained why doing menial work is inconsistent
with a life pharmacological hedonism precoded wetware with invincible bliss.
Notionolly, BNW is set in the year 632 AF (after Ford). Its biotechnology is highly

Customer Loyalty in Retail Sector
Role of Customer Loyalty Programs in the Retailing Sector Executive Summary:
Customer loyalty schemes (or programs) are explicit efforts by the retailers in
different formats to gain the long term patronage from the customers. Loyalty
schemes are designed and developed for variety of reasons: to reward the loyal
customers, to generate more information about the customer behaviour, buying
patterns. It also helps to influence consumer behaviour, and as defensive measure to
combat a competing scheme. The purpose of this study is to describe the objectives
of the loyalty schemes, the origin its evolution over the years, the important aspects
of its implementation and strategic approaches to maximise the impact. This will also
focus on the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A response from the customer to come back and repeatedly use the product or
service is a definite indicator of the customer to be loyal. Through loyalty
programmes companies therefore can track the behaviour of customer, and trends
of his activities over a period of time. It can lead to customer behaviour where
customers can book earlier, stay longer, do vacationing more often, and earn
reward points for this behaviour with the brand. So loyalty programmes provide an
opportunity to learn about the customer s preferences, and expectations. Customers
tend to be loyal only when they can identify their values matching with those of the
brand. This leads to brand association from the customer s with the company s
logo, brand. Eyeballs Buyers Loyalty Action Performance Consideration
Awareness There are five types of the consumer behaviour which have been
measured over particular period of time span: the percentage of consumers buying
a brand, number of purchases per buyer, the percentage who continue to buy the
brand repeatedly, the 100% loyal customers and the segment of population who
buy other brands. Polygamous Loyalty: This is a theory which is for the stationary
markets, customer loyalty is divided into number of brands. The long run
propensities to buy a particular brand for a customer now a days is very less the
primary reason being the choice of too many brands in the same sector. So
polygamous loyalty is actually
Ecological Economics Vs. Neoclassical Welfare Economics
Essay
Ecological Economics vs Neoclassical Welfare Economics
In the past, the economic school of thought regarded the resources as unlimited and
focused on more production under the light of the unlimited growth assumption.
Every economic action was suggested to only consider about making more profit.
While the economy and the human population are growing; more natural resources
are used and more pollution is observed. Human become to deal with the results of its
production such as environmental problems and resource scarcity. A debate has
emerged in economics and the mainstream economics is brought into question since
its unlimited growth assumption is collapsed. Ecological economists argue the
neoclassical welfare economics for ignoring the environmental and ethic values by
only focusing on the cost benefit analysis. It also claims that the neoclassical
economics fails to calculate the value of the environmental capital and the loss of the
economic activities on the environment. This paper is going to explain the problems
with the neoclassical welfare economics and the alternatives offered by the ecological
economics in terms of economic growth and environment.
The neoclassical welfare economics explains the economic production and behavior
by using the mainstream terms of economic literature. Specifically, it focuses on the
Pareto efficiency and suggests two theorems related to it. Firstly, the Pareto efficiency
is stated by maximization of preferences under a restricted
The Human Condition Of Humans
Negative or Positive Humans are a strange species in general because of the way they
handle the conflict also the way life is presented and dealt with. Many things make
humans out to be a certain way but the literature that many writers have used to
describe humans is even stranger. Humans have a way of dealing with many traumas
and issues that arise throughout their lives while also dealing with the excitement and
happiness that comes along as humans wander through life. Though literature; from
the time it started to the present, focuses on the human conditionin so many ways
because in every story the characters have a conflict that will be handle and that will
show their outlook on life and what matters to them most. Human nature, society, and
the way people live in a literary work can portray the human condition to the reader.
Many writers use their feelings in the time period or their thoughts about people of
the time to describe the human condition which is read about and carried through
the years. The human condition really never changes and the cycle spins around
and will always spin around until there are no humans left. There is a positive and
negative, a good and bad, each person is made out to be one way or the other.
Many writers use their works to make a point and give a purpose just like the
characters in their stories. The human condition was portrayed by authors such as
Moliere, Voltaire, Rossetti, Tagore, Kafka, and Lu Xun. Moliere s Tartuffe gives many
Vancomycin Case Study
Madeline was diagnosed with MRSA, a type of virulent pneumonia. She had no
idea how she contracted this dangerous bacterium and her family decided to take
tests that would reveal whether or not they spread it or if it was the hospital s fault.
This experiment was based off of the Kirby Bauer disk method, where antibiotics are
exposed to growing bacteria. If the bacteria stops growing, circular wafers where the
bacteria have not grown would be visible and that means that the antibiotic worked.
This particular area is known as the zone of inhibition and the size of it determines its
effectiveness. Madeline should use vancomycin to treat her condition because it is
the most effective. Based on the investigation, vancomycin was the most effective

Bviii Describe how your own work must be influenced by National factors such as
Codes of Practice, National Occupational Standards, Legislation and Government
Initiatives. Answer My work is directly impacted by all of the above every day.
Codes of Practice and Occupational Standards form our mission, vision and
values. Legislation dictates our level and quality of care. Government initiatives
impact the people we serve. For example, a code of practice in action, and in a very
general sense may be staff supporting, but also providing the tools, for individuals
to become more independent. Too much support, they would learn dependence.
Tools alone without support, they may not understand how to use them or when to
use them. Occupational Standards would be a general guide for each career
within a given field, that expresses the foundational do s and don ts for each.
Example, we would provide a minimum amount of service, documented and within
the guidelines for the individual, while if we offered additional services that are
needed and appropriate to the individual, that would be good. Laws protect for the
most part. Most laws are based on safety. So legislation that offers greater
protection for the people we serve, and laws that provide a clear expectation for staff
which if we follow judiciously, also protects us are incorporated
Functionalism Of The Turing Machine
1.Introduction:
In 1996 Deep Blue, a chess playing computer beat Garry Kasparov in a game of
chess. Kasparov would go on to win the match but in 1997 the result went the other
way with Deep Blue winning the match (IBM 1997).
One thought that resulted from the match was that there was no essential difference
between Deep Blue and Kasparov when it came to playing chess, that with Deep Blue
we recreated the mentality involved in playing chess, that we had the foundations
correct and that it was only a matter of time before other mental capacities were
recreated culminating in the eventual creation of something very mind like (Larson
1997).
This essay will critique the view that a machine can think and as a consequence

The person is a native English speaker and doesn t understand a word of Chinese.
He receives Chinese symbols and is asked to manipulate them according to certain
rules he has at his disposal in the form of a rulebook in English. The manipulated
symbols are produced as a result (Searle 1980 p. 3). To the questioner or observer
the answers are indistinguishable from those that a native Chinese speaker would
produce. The difference is that the Native Chinese speaker can be said to understand
the questions and answers whereas the Native English speaker manipulating the
symbols does not (Searle 1980 p.

Argumentative Essay On Social Networking

  • 1. Argumentative Essay On Social Networking Crafting an argumentative essay on the subject of social networking presents a multifaceted challenge that delves into the intricate interplay between technology, human interactions, and societal dynamics. The task demands not only a comprehensive understanding of the ever- evolving landscape of social media but also the ability to critically analyze its impact on individuals and communities. Firstly, navigating through the vast and constantly changing realm of social networking platforms requires in-depth research to stay current with the latest trends, features, and controversies. The rapid evolution of these platforms adds an extra layer of complexity, as what may be relevant and influential today might be overshadowed or outdated tomorrow. Therefore, staying abreast of the latest developments is crucial to presenting a well-informed and timely argument. Moreover, the essay must delve into the psychological and sociological aspects of social networking. This involves exploring the ways in which these platforms shape individual behavior, influence social norms, and impact interpersonal relationships. Analyzing studies and scholarly articles is essential to substantiate claims and provide a nuanced understanding of the psychological and societal implications. Developing a coherent and persuasive argument also necessitates addressing the myriad perspectives on social networking. Recognizing the diverse opinions and experiences people have with these platforms adds another layer of complexity. Striking a balance between acknowledging the positive aspects of social networking, such as fostering connections and disseminating information, while also critiquing the potential negative consequences, such as privacy concerns and the spread of misinformation, requires a nuanced approach. In addition, constructing a compelling argument involves honing one's writing skills to effectively communicate ideas. Crafting a well-structured essay with a clear introduction, logically organized body paragraphs, and a strong conclusion is crucial. Developing persuasive and articulate arguments, supported by evidence and examples, is essential to convincing the reader of the essay's thesis. In conclusion, composing an argumentative essay on social networking demands a blend of technological literacy, sociological insight, and effective writing skills. Navigating through the complexities of this topic requires continuous research, critical analysis, and a nuanced understanding of the multifaceted issues at hand. Despite the challenges, the process of crafting such an essay provides an opportunity to engage deeply with contemporary societal issues. The performance management process is a key component of an organisation overall approach to the management of its people. As part of the performance management system, performance management aims to achieve the following: * To enable an individual to know exactly what is expected of them i.e. agreed objectives and appropriate behaviors. * To enable an individual to identify and meet personal development needs. * To enable the organisation to audit the capabilities of its staff. In the modern age where business is spread globally the challenges in front of an organization are highly complex as the competition intensifies. Due to the complexity in the organizational management the older system methodology seems to become less relevant and sparingly less useful in these situations. These issues led to the introduction of complexityparadigm (Amagoh, 2008). Complexity theory was derived from the chaos and systems theoryto show how a system is not confined in its boundaries and the growth or fall of an organization or a system depends upon how it is able to adapt and change to various situations. Complexity in an organization can be defined as the heterogeneity or diversity in the internal environment factors like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike the general systems theory stating that the organizations strive to achieve equilibrium complexity theory states that the equilibrium state would mean the death of an organization. The very essence of life is to change and transform according to the need of the moment like Samsung took into Smartphone market with vigor transforming them into the technology giants they are at the moment. Another difference between the General system theory and the complexity theory is the boundary. While in the case of general system theory a fixed boundary is defined for each system there is no fixed boundary as explained in the complexity theory. The boundaries keep changing along continually. As per complexity theory a bounded instability state between rigidity and chaos is the perfect building block for growth and creativity in a team (The Complexity Advantage, Kelly and Alison). There are two principle ideas which the complexity theory works on. The first is based on the structure of an organization with a trade of between the efficiency and flexibility of an organizational structure. This addresses that a system should be partially connected rather than a completely coupled or decoupled system (Kauffman, 1995; Langton, 1990; Gell Mann, 1994a). According to many when a system is over connected the ability to adapt to changing situations becomes

This type of risk is of particular concern to investors who hold bonds in their portfolios. Government bonds, especially those issued by the federal government, have the least amount of default risk and the lowest returns, while corporate bonds tend to have the highest amount of default risk but also higher interest rates. • 8. The Four Stages Of Adolescence Adolescence is the distinct transitional stage between childhood and adulthood in human development, extending primarily over the teenage years and terminating legally when the age of majority is reached (Rathus, 2014). However in some instances, this biological, cognitive, social and emotional maturity may not be reached until a later stage and may be dictated by gender. Adolescenceis characterised by rapidly changing and unpredictable behaviour (Freud, as cited in Rathus 2014), heightened and unstable emotions (Hall, as cited in Rathus 2014), disturbances in identity, the gradual development of one s moral reasoning (Kohlberg, as cited in Rathus, 2014) and the gradual establishment of one s independence. Several of these changes may occur at differing phases in adolescent growth. This development is categorized into three separate stages; early adolescence, middle adolescence, and late adolescence. Early Adolescence, commencing from the ages of eleven or twelve until the age of fourteen, comprises of several features such as rapid biological development and maturity, heightened stress levels and limited coping capabilities. On the other hand, middle adolescence, from the approximate age of fourteen to sixteen, involves the gradual cease of biological change, an increase in coping strategies and declined stress levels. Furthermore, late adolescence, commencing from the age of sixteen until the age of eighteen or nineteen, encompasses physical maturity, whereby the

Introduction: In 1910 mexicans fled from Mexico to work in agriculture in America, they labored in inhumane conditions and the people they worked for ignored state laws on working conditions (Tavaana). This is how the farm workers would work before the United Farm WorkersUnion came along. They didn t have the rights they deserved, they were treated however the growers would like to treat them because they would go around the law and do what they wanted. Farm workers didn t have unions and the rights that they do now back in 1910. Research has been done on this topic on how them migrating started, on how they were treated, and how it has gotten better over the years. This topic is important because it discusses some of the history of Mexican immigrants. It also demonstrates some challenges they went through when they came to the United States to find work. My study of the topic is important because it will give some background information on how the farm workers were brought and how they were treated. After I will bring in Cesar Chavez and his contributions to helping the farm workers. Some people are able to decide certain, crucial things, without feeling pressure or any stress. However, there are some people who are very indecisive and very hesitant to make difficult decisions. This is important because an accurate awareness of the issue cannot occur within society if the general public believes that domestic violence is a problem that only affects certain groups of people and is therefore not in need of attention since it is not that common. The per capita carbon footprint in Australia was rated 12th in the world by PNAS in 2011, considerably large when taking into account the small population of the country. According to the CSIRO and Garnaut Climate Change Review, climate change is expected to have multiple effects on many species, regions, activities and infrastructure and areas of the economy and public health in Australia. The Australian Climate Commission (closed as of 2013) had created reports to highlight the likely impacts of climate change according to different regions. According to these reports in 2012, heat waves, bush fires and flooding will only get worse and intensify each time because of the climate change. This will worsen the impacts on people, property, communities and the environment. Australia s high fire risk increases the risks related to change in temperature and climate. Australia s population is highly condensed in coastal areas, and Australia s tourism industry depends on the health of the Great Barrier Reef and other fragile ecosystems (Pittock, Barry 2007). Australia has one of the worlds largest and diverse ecosystems, this poses an extreme threat because these ecosystems are most fragile and are at risk of damage if exposed to climate change. The
  • 25. Advantages Of Moving To Oregon Hi Pa and Ma! I have reached Oregon and it is such an amazing place with so many advantages. You must move to Oregon and come live here. One reason why you should move to Oregon is because the soil is very fertile. There is a vast amount of land here that is available for farming. This is a benefit because fertile soil can result in more farming. When farming flourishes, food can grow and families can make money by eating food or selling them to others. Another reason why you should move to Oregonis to escape the amount of debt that we have to pay in Virginia. Coming here is a good idea because we do not have to pay our debts and can start a new life. Since there is so much land, farming is such an easy thing to do here. If farming does
  • 26. Hierarchies In The Workplace What are the reasons that hierarchies emerge in organizations? What about the roles and the nature of this emergence? Does this aid in structuring these organizations /work areas? In this essay, I will be relating the description of activities that take place in an early industrial pin factory from Adam Smith s Wealth of Nations to the organizing and structuring of work. The relation will be described done by examining the division and specialization of labour, requirements that lead to the need for coordination, Horizontal and Vertical Differentiation required for coordination and how structure/hierarchyarises and if it is in fact needed. We can see that through the division and specialization of labour that Adam Smiths pin factory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Just as the pin factory example showed, the one task of creating a pin was broken down into multiple roles/subunits (Horizontal Differentiation) and just as these tasks can be simplified and more efficient by dividing them into roles and subunits, they need to people coordinate them. These people can range from a simple manager of a subunit, all the way to the owner of the organization, creating an organizational hierarchy (Vertical Differentiation). When these processes and forms of coordination work together, this is what drives the building of the organization as a whole. The extent of which is determined by the organizations structure. Structure and hierarchy come from how work and the work processes are coordinated together and relating how tasks and coordination of these tasks is to be obtained. When determining the authority in the structure of an organization, there are two major options, centralized and decentralized. A centralized organizational setup is where the authority to make important decisions is retained by managers at the top of the created hierarchy whereas a decentralized organizational setup is where the authority to make important decisions about organizational resources and to initiate new projects is delegated to managers at all levels in the hierarchy. Each choice is made based upon the main goal/task of the organization and what would better fit the organization. Whether work/the

The stories The First False Face , The Origin of The Buffalo and the Corn , and The Coyote all have many similarities, but a couple things are different. The moon rises with it s reflection shown in the water. Stones tied the neck of a coyote. The coyote leaps into the water. Nothing comes up not even a few bubbles to show there is life from the coyote. No movement is shown except for the little blue fox staring at the water. The fox walks away while the coyote stays in the cold dark water. In the stories The First False Face , The Origin of The Buffalo and the Corn , and The Coyote , they all have wild animals. The First False Face , The Origin of The Buffalo and the Corn , and The Coyote all have Native Americans tribes in their stories. All of these stories mentioned above have many similarities so I decided to list a few. In The First False Face it talks about the Seneca tribe. In The Origin of The Buffalo and the Corn in talks about the myth of the Cheyenne tribe, and in The Coyote it talks about the Pueblo tribe. The second similarity is that in all the stories it they have something to do with magic. The story The First False Face it has characters that can move mountains and in reality that could never be done. In the story The Origin of The Buffalo and the Corn it has an old lady making food out of nothing sand filling up bowls.

The development of sound recording has gone through multiple stages to become what it is today. The government does not regulate the process of sound recording, however conflicts regarding copyright infringements are present. Brief History An academic article written by Linda M. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Broadcasting is $14 billion industry that includes radio and television, as well as the distribution services of cable, satellite, and, increasingly the Internet and mobile devices (Gasher, Skinner, Lorimer 218). The Canadian government regulates broadcasting because it serves national, cultural, and political goals (Gasher, Skinner, Lorimer 219). The reason for comparing regulations between sound recording and broadcasting is the fact that a great proportion of radio broadcasting is recorded music. There is a significant symbiosis between radio broadcast policy and policies designed to encourage the production and dissemination of Canadian music (Gasher, Skinenr, Lorimer 225). Radio broadcasters are required to have a license in order to broadcast music through their channel. The Canadian Radio television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) is in charge of issuing these licenses to broadcasters. Today, the CRTC s duties in the broadcasting field include: issuing and renewing licenses, up to a maximum of seven years, modifying existing license conditions, and suspending or revoking licenses (Gasher, Skinner, Lorimer 221). It is evident that the use of sound recordings within the field of broadcasting is strictly regulated. This further develops an idea that the sound recording industry will become regulated within the future, as it is present in such a vast

  • 32. Essay on Roman Persecution of Christians From the third to the fourth century, the Roman Empire witnessed a widespread attempt to stop the spread of Christianity. Initially, leaders of the church were predominately targeted, but later anyone admitting to Christianity became a target. The persecutions hit a climax during Diocletian s reign. These persecutions actually helped the spread of Christianityby glorifying Christians and beginning a tradition of martyrdom that shaped the Church, and the strength that Christians displayed shows that the persecutions could not have possible stopped the spread of Christianity. In the first half of the third century, Christian persecution was fragmented and while Christianity was illegal, there is not evidence that it was widely persecuted.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This also persisted throughout the fourth century. Often, enforcement of persecution laws was really left up to local officials. There are reports of terrible and unrelenting persecution in some areas, while there are no reports at all in others. Additionally, issues at the border throughout this time often plagued emperors, so it was impossible to ensure that their edicts were universally carried out. As a result, the empire simply was not equipped to completely halt the spread of Christianity. Because Christianity could not be completely purged by the Empire, it created an opportunity for Christians to display how strongly they were devoted to the religion. The way in which they responded made all the difference. Under pressure, they would not submit, and this was proof of the force and influence of Christianity. During the persecutions, churches and scripture were destroyed. Many were killed and tortured. Despite this, many remained brave and unafraid according to accounts. The idea of redemption and a magnificent afterlife led many Christians to almost fervently pursue martyrdom. These martyrs were glorified, and miracles were reported to have occurred in their presence. They refused to reject Christ and, in turn, were subjected to torture and humiliation. Eusebius describes the proceedings during the Great Persecution: ...the rules in question brought a certain man into a public place and commanded him to sacrifice. When he refused,

The United States Department of Labor (2013) views the same as both sound advancement and reason for worry. This paper will explore the history, theories, implications for leaders, and relative trends of this class of workers. Businessdictionary.com (2015) states that a contingent worker is a Temporary employee who is (1) hired for contingent work, (2) paid according to hours worked, and (3) draws no benefits that are commonly available to the regular employees . The contingent workforce consists of temporary, part time, independent contractors, seasonal, college interns, and leased workers. Often confusion is present in labeling employees and independent contractors accurately. According to the IRS (2015) an individual is an independent contractor if the payer has the right to control or direct only the result of the work and not what will be done and how it will be done. Under common law rules, anyone who performs services for you is your employee if you can control what will be done and how it will be done (IRS, 2015). The employing of contingent workers is an intentional business decision by companies. The search for greater flexibility, in terms of numbers of employees and in terms of the skills those employees possess, is the main reason reported by companies for the increasing use of contingent workers. E Evans Pritchard, anthropologist, ethnographer and author of Witchcraft, Oracles, and Magic Among the Azande, was not of the Azande culture, yet his work has been monumental for modern ethnographers. Langton herself attempts to immediately put this myth to rest in the first paragraph of her lecture, There is a simplistic view that because I am Aboriginal, being a descendant of the Yiman people in Central Queensland, I would have a better understanding of Aboriginal societies than, say, the Berndts did. This is not the case, as I shall explain (Langton 2011: 1 2). Langton goes on to express her perspective about why it is incorrect to believe that just because someone is of a specific culture, they are not experts in their society. This reflects the udea of your son bring the best quarter back of the team, compared to other football teams he s still the best but he dosnt look forward to going to practice, or getting out onto the field, to him it s just something he feels he has to do. This idea is reflected in Pervez article when he says I was following a script for success written by someone else, or by society (Pervez). A lot of the time parents unintentionally have their children follow a script that they were taught by their parents. Parents are raising their children in a consensus reality which is a reality that has been created by culture through practices, behaviors, shared beliefs, rules and artifacts. Moreover, instead of parents letting their children choose to try something they are intesred in or they try different things they have to stick to a script or to something they feel is correct. In another example, Pervez tells how he identified writing, traveling, telling stories, and helping others were his passions and decided to take the happiness plunge where to him, there [was] more to life than the American Dream we ve been sold.
