1. Essays About Bullying
Writing an essay on the subject of bullying can be a challenging task, not merely because of the
technical aspects of essay composition, but also due to the emotional weight that the topic
carries. Addressing the various facets of bullying requires a delicate balance between presenting
factual information and conveying the profound impact it has on individuals and communities.
One of the challenges lies in the need for extensive research to gather relevant data, statistics,
and case studies that can support the arguments and perspectives presented in the essay. A
comprehensive understanding of the psychological, sociological, and even legal aspects of
bullying is crucial to provide a well-rounded view.
Furthermore, maintaining objectivity while discussing such a sensitive topic can be daunting.
The writer needs to navigate through the emotional terrain carefully, acknowledging the pain
and consequences of bullying without succumbing to excessive sentimentality. Striking the right
balance between empathy and a rational analysis of the issue is crucial to create a compelling and
effective essay.
In terms of structure, organizing the content coherently poses its own set of challenges. The
essay must have a clear introduction that introduces the topic, a well-developed body that
explores different dimensions of bullying, and a strong conclusion that reinforces the key
arguments and potentially proposes solutions. Smooth transitions between paragraphs and ideas
are necessary to ensure a logical flow.
Addressing the various forms of bullying, from physical aggression to cyberbullying, adds
complexity to the task. Each form requires its own set of considerations and evidence to
substantiate the claims made. Analyzing the root causes of bullying and its societal implications
adds depth to the essay but also demands a nuanced understanding of human behavior and
societal dynamics.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of bullying is a challenging endeavor that requires a
combination of research skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to construct a well-
organized and persuasive argument. The writer must navigate through a minefield of sensitive
issues while remaining objective and informative. Ultimately, the goal is not only to present a
comprehensive understanding of bullying but also to contribute to the ongoing dialogue on how
to address and prevent this pervasive issue in society.

Communication Assets Project (CAP)
Sandra Manchor
University of Phoenix Abstract
This paper discusses the implementation phase of the Communications Assets Project
(CAP) Software Configuration Management (SCM). CAP is an interoperable
communications inventory software package. The project manager for CAP has
asked for an analysis for software configuration management. This paper includes the
six major activities: coding, testing, installation, documentation, training and support.
This document is a discussion on the transition from the design phase to the
implementation phase. Implementation

Installation
During the installation phase of implementation, SKM proposes using a parallel
implementation. Initially, SKM proposes using a prototype of the system and
having 6 key personnel use the system from their desktops. Once these personnel
are familiar with the system and are comfortable with it, SKM will introduce a train
the trainer program which will enable these key personnel to return to the workforce
and train other employees in their areas. The new system will be run in parallel with
the old manual system. Running the systems in parallel is expected to have no
impact on the development of CAP. CAP s IT team will install the hardware on the
network during a weekend and run tests on the systems to make sure they are up and
running. Should the IT team encounter any problems, it will return the following
weekend. SKM has allocated funding should it be required.
Documentation
During the implementation phase, several documents will be produced to help in the
maintenance and support of the system. These documents will be used by CAP s IT
team. During testing, user manuals and operational manuals were produced that will
help all personnel use the system. During this time, training manuals will be produced

4. Persuasive Essay On Refugee Crisis
The world is experiencing it s worst refugee crisis since World War II (The Worst
Crisis You ve Never Heard Of). Refugees, along with having to leave their
possessions and family behind in their usually war torn or violent country, face many
additional issues that are cause for the concern. Despite the United Nationsbest
efforts, refugeecamps are not equipped with the sufficient amount of food, medical
care, and shelter for the thousands of people that pour into them everyday. With that
in mind, many refugees are undernourished, sick, and generally hopeless. The
continuing refugee crisis has also posed a unique issue for countries all around the
world: not only does it bring about humanitarian concerns in individuals, but the ever
increasing flow of refugees cannot be kept up with and has the potential to harm
other country s economy and population. Similar refugee crises due to conflicts in
countries like Palestine, Germany, Vietnam, Sudan, Afghanistan, Rwanda, and
Myanmar have been handled, but recent displacements are even more difficult for
countries to deal with. However, countries that accept refugees serve as examples
for the best possible solution to the crisis: aiding refugees, not fearing them. A
massive issue, like that of the refugee crisis, is the outcome of many different events.
Since the end of World War II, there has been a significant buildup of refugees.
People have been pouring out of countries such as Palestine, Vietnam, Laos,

Reagan defeated Jimmy Carter in the 1980 election and Walter Mondale in the

and failures. His campaign slogan was, Are you better off than you were four years

his campaign strategy was mostly based on how America took a turn for the worst

federal budget deficits. The main issues of the election were, economic recovery,
education and the federal budget. While Mondale criticized Reagan for cutting the
federal budget for federal programs and education. Reagan however, had more
public support with his education policy of merit pay. Reagan won the election
because he had gained popularity for helping spur economic growth and lower
unemployment. He also had very smart advertisements that helped him have a better

Reagan s support for an increased defense budget at the height of the Cold War was
supported by Congressional Democrats and Republicans. However, Congress was
reluctant, yet followed through with Reagan s proposed cuts in domestic programs.
In accordance with Reagan s less government intervention views, many domestic
government programs were cut or experienced periods of reduced funding during his

10 Ways to Deal with Boomerang Depression It s no secret that many young adults
are returning to the home that they grew up in. While many adults are choosing to
stay home and never leave the nest, this article specifically addresses the
boomerang effect: your young adult leaves home, finds life on their own
overwhelming, and they retreat back to the parents home in search of sanctuary
and support. Some parents may find this to be satisfactory, while others do not.
This article is about boomerang kids. However, these people are adults, not
children, and not kids. Call them what they are: young adults. They might not be as
mature as you or your friends, but they re also at the beginning of adulthood, not in
the middle. This article is about helping your adult (not child!) overcome their

7. Reflection Between Art And Art
Areas of knowledge are specific branches of knowledge, each of which can be seen
to have a distinct nature and requires different ways of knowing. Description is a
written or spoken account of a person, object or event and thus, relies on our
perception of the world. Transformation is a change that goes beyond a norm or a
paradigm. In order for something to be considered knowledge, it needs to go through
both the process of description and transformation. Due to their approach to
acquisition of knowledge, certain areas of knowledge such as Art puts more
emphasis in describing the world while others focus more on transforming it. All
areas of knowledge, including Art, still have both functions of describing and
transforming the world and there is no area of knowledge that... Show more content

The fact that the artist uses various shading techniques, textures and tones to make if

the function of describing the world. The artwork also revolutionizes the world as
Classical paintings revolutionized the techniques artists use to create paintings and
how they look at paintings, therefore proving that art also transforms the world. Some
of the artists who learnt about Classical techniques and tried to imitate them (at first)
are Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. They eventually changed their to style to a
more abstract one. Now, Picasso is famous for his Cubism painting of people,
especially women. He is well known for transforming the way the public viewed the
function of art: rather than insisting on accurate representation, Picasso forced
viewers to rethink assumptions about the human form. This shows that creativity and
thus, transformation cannot occur without description and imitation. Another case in

religious and cultural values, (Dunmill. M 2007). Bollywood has produced several
movies and TV shows predicated on gods. Religion composed a very sensitive issue in
the Indian society. Hindu religion is the most commonly practiced religion in India,
according to the 2011 census (Shrivastava, 2015). Movies that are against the
religious credences of the audience are considered blasphemy or attack on the

Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999) and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994) are some of the

Abstract
Today s supply chains are more complex than ever due to globalization and its effects,
especially on manufacturing activities. Therefore, understanding and managing
complexity in supply chains are very popular topic nowadays. Measures for
complexity in supply chains contribute to their manageability and controllability. In a
dynamic environment such as the supply chain, even basic supplier customer systems
with structurally simple information and material flow formations have a tendency to
exhibit operational complexity. The operational complexity of a system is primarily
characterized by the uncertainty of the dynamic system. The need to manage
inventories to ensure that customers receive the right products at the right time is a
central feature of operation of many firms. Successful inventory management with the
main purpose of keeping safety stocks as low as possible while satisfying demand
has become increasingly more difficult as supply chains are becoming more
complex. This paper undertakes a problem on calculating the operational complexity
of a supply chain by using entropy as a tool. The investigation for

What about the media? Media disability is another advantage. Incumbents are linked
to every media outlet, the television, radio, internet, and social media. Technology is
the biggest platform in this day and era. A study by Pew Research Center concluded
that 62 percent of U.S. adults obtain their new on social media. Incumbents can reach
every audience, young, middle aged, the elder as well as those who come from
different backgrounds.
Ever wondered where incumbents get the money from to constantly send flyers to
your house or the ones that get put in your windshield or doorknob? We witness and
experience this all the time during election time. They have franking privilege.
Franking privilege is when lawmakers send certain mails to their voters without
payments of postage. However, the only people that are allowed this privilege are
members of Congress and the Vice President. The sitting president does not.
Incumbents also have access to a lot of resources once they ve established a strong
support system. For example, voter catalogs and contact information. The catalog
consists of all parties who are registered to vote, the party they favor, telephone
number and district. It is vital and big deal for candidates to have this information
because they can contact and pursue those to vote for them. Not everyone incumbent
or candidate is fortunate to acquire this information.
Finally, amongst all the other advantages, incumbents have the advantage of
patronage and casework.

types of things he observed were: bruises on Helen Stoners arm, the bell pull, the

Once I got to the top my heart thumped harder and faster as I saw a dark figure in
the distance, disturbingly silhouetted in the dark. In the shock I slipped and fell
backwards, tumbling down, like rocks on a cliff face. When I got to the bottom, I
felt a ghastly throbbing pain in my back, which hurt like hell. I slowly got up and
my mind was focused on the thing I had seen upstairs. I then felt a cold breeze that
made my bones shiver and hair stand up on end. A giant rat scampered across the
floor; it s beady eyes glowed red in the flicker of the lantern light. It hissed at me. I
dropped my lantern. Suddenly, I was plunged into utter darkness. I took several
deep breaths to calm my trembling body and finished my trek up the stairs. Vivid
flashes of lightning illuminated the attic. A vase lay in pieces in front of the
broken window. Well, at least I knew what had caused the crash, I mused to myself.
I found an old threadbare cloak hanging near the window. I now realised that is
wasn t a person who I had seen but simply an old cloak. I suddenly tripped over a
large box as I walked. The trunk wasn t locked, but age had rusted it shut. I gripped
the top and pulled with all of my strength. The trunk protested, but finally gave in.
Another rat jumped up at me. I clenched the rat s tail and threw it away from me. I
felt something solid inside the trunk. Whatever I had found, didn t
22. The Importance Of Bullying In High School
Bill Gates once said, Be nice to nerds. Chances are you ll end up working for one. I
wish that I had heard this quote before I went to high school. I spent the first part
of my education needing some inspiration similar to this. To explain, I was bullied
in Elementary School. From Kindergarten to Fifth Grade, I was teased because I
was too smart. There were several times that I would hide on the back of the bus
crying after a full day of insults. There was one boy at my school that was the worst.
His name was Chaska Lacey. Chaska loved making new insults and nicknames
every day to insult my intelligence. And it wasn t always at school either. Once I
was jogging through the town of Waverly in order to stay in shape for basketball
season. I was running at a decently consistent pace before I passed Chaska and his
younger brother, Jolon. I kept on running because I didn t want to talk to him. He
started following and shouting abuse at me. He said things such as, Hey, Booky. I
didn t know that you could do anything except read. Look at those legs. I didn t
think that running was even possible for someone that spent that much time doing
homework. Can you teach me to read, please? I eventually out ran him, however it
wasn t before his words made me feel that people didn t know who I was. People only
saw that I was a pair of glasses stuck in a book. I know that what he told me was not
incredibly rude, but it still hurt me. I wanted for someone to realize that I was much

23. A Case Study Of Bangladesh And Papua New Guinea
Introduction:
The world climate is degrading in different ways to strive with the human need.
Standing in this situation, we are trying to organize the natural resource management
through the utilization of scientific knowledge (research based) as well as other
knowledge like local or indigenous knowledge system. On the other hand, to keep a
continuous food supply for every living body along with a stable climate, are the
concerning parts of the natural resource management. When increasing production
of food and stable resource management is not compatible with each other at this
moment, different knowledge systems are promoting for resource management all
over the world to solve this problem. Integrated different knowledge under one
umbrella is a challenge because diverse way gives diverse solution and satisfying
local people with the scientific solution is more difficult where they keep in depth
knowledge about resources in a specific area. A case study of Bangladesh and Papua
New Guinea will present a brief example of the topic. Though it is problematic to
use diverse knowledge in a holistic manner, only government can do this job and we
don t have any alternative to save ourselves from the wrath of nature.
What is NRM:
At starting, we need to clarify what is NRM. Natural resource management is
different in different area, even among people, but as a scientific explanation, Natural
resource management is an interdisciplinary field of study. Mainly reflects the
24. Descriptive Essay About Snowboarding
Ever since I can just about remember I have been Snowboarding. Well first I started
off skiing, but I wanted more of a challenge. What got me started was my older
brother Daniel when he tried it for the first time, he didn t stick with it because he
hit his head to many times (I think he is just a pansy). Him and his friends use to
call me hobo Joe, which I kind of liked cause it rhymes with my name Joe and It
gave me attention. We would always go to this little ski resortabout 20 minutes away
from our house and it was a blast, I loved it. I didn t have any friends to gowith at the
time so I just tagged alot with my older brother which was fine enough.
I was 12 years old when we first started planning our trip to go to a resort in
Colorado, I remember sitting up at night talking with my older brother, counting
down the days till we finally got to leave for our skiing adventure. And to top it all
off some of daniel s friends were coming along with our cousin Jodi and oldest
brother nick. Even though Daniel and his friends tease me at times I still find it a lot
of fun to hang out with them.
Dad how much longer till we finally get to leave? I would ask my dad with
urgency, not understanding at the time that asking ever couple of hours would not
make the departure come any faster. Rolling his eyes my dad would answer This is
the fifth time today you asked that question, we are leaving tomorrow morning .
Dancing down the hall I hurry to my room that I share with Daniel. When I
approached the door I could heard these terrible retching noises coming from
behind the door. I peek inside the door to see Daniel with his face in the waste
basket. My heart starts to sink, knowing that if Daniel is too sick to travel then we
weren t going to be able to leave for this trip. I go tell my parents and then
trudgingly flop down on the couch knowing I wasn t going to get very good sleep
tonight.
I wake up messaging my neck trying to get the knot that had developed there
overnight due to my sleeping arrangements. Sleepy, I walk to the bathroom and start
to wash my face and start my morning routine. As I took my clothes off and I
walking into the shower and turned on the hottest the water would go, I liked when it

25. O Brien Quotes And Analysis
For the second half of the reading the narrator is able to hit the last significant and
important parts of his story and is able to close the book for the readers. During the
first part of the reading O Brien describes a man who he killed, he goes on to
imagine a whole life for the man. I think O Brien does this because he s caught in
the moment, he feels so guilty and the thought and the physically appearance of the
dead man keeps reappearing and stays on the back on his mind. We also learn about
when one of the characters, Norman Bowker, goes back home and finds himself
almost lost. Even though he is away from the war and time has passed by, all he can
think about is the past, including a high school crush, but mostly about the war. This

The second time O Brien was healed by a new medic, and after that gun shot he
was sent out of war into another area away from his friends and away from the
action from the war. So what s left to assume is that the second gunshot is the one
that O Brien remembered and the one that hurt the most, because it s the one that
took the war and all the people with it away from him, and all he was able to do
was to blame the medic that healed the gun shot for not following the procedure,
instead of accepting the fact that he longed for the rush that the war gave him, and
that being removed from the war because of a minor gunshot in an embarrassing
area rather then receiving the gun shot in a prideful way. One of the last events to
occur in the book was the prank that O Brien and Azar pulled on the medic who
cured the second gunshot, Jorgenson, as a way of revenge. However while
following the plan for revenge O Brien realizes that this has unleashed a darker side
of him, a side that wants to cause pain and a side that resembles what the war does to

26. Taylor s Meaning Of Life
Final Exam Part Two: Taylor s Meaning of life Sisyphus is an ancient Greek fable
of a God who was punished by other Gods to roll a rock to the top of a hill only to
see it roll right back to the bottom for all of eternity. Sisyphus was never able to
truly accomplishing anything forced to be tormented for all of time. Taylor used
this as an example for the meaninglessness of life because it gave the reader an
image in their mind of what a truly meaningless life would be as we can now
currently understand it. I agree with Taylor in saying that objective meaning dose
require that life has a point. To live a life with a goal in mind is to the person with
the goal the point of being alive. Although someone from the outside may believe
27. Analysis Of Doubt, A Parable By John Patrick Shanley
The novel Doubt; A Parable by John Patrick Shanley, creates doubts and mystery in
readers minds that have us turning the pages, curious of what will happen next.
Doubt creates a lot of different opinions and perspectives, and raises a lot of
important discussions. You see that values play a big part in the way that we
think, and the way that we see others. It blocks our perspective on people, and
makes things seem very one sided, in order to live life to it s fullest potential you
need to not just look at your own beliefs but others as well. It creates doubt in
readers minds whether or not Father Flynn is guilty by showing us different sides
of characters and making us feel uncertain about our beliefs. In the novel, Shanley
reveals the differences between the characters, of Sister Aloysius who is the stern
traditionalist, the complete opposite of Father Flynn who is a very fun, kind, and
a progressive person. Sister Aloysius thinks that Father Flynn s ways of living life
are very strange and is appalled by his habits, because she feels very nervous and
threatened that Father Flynn will take over the church, and tradition will leave the
system. Sister Aloysius likes to have her own specific list of beliefs, and traditions,
so when she sees Father Flynn s long fingernails, and the amount of sugars he puts in
his tea, she becomes outraged, shocked, and appalled by the ways that he enjoys
living his life. Sister Aloysius says: Your fingernails. Father Flynn replies

The contagion finally hit South Korea in December of 1997, merely 5 months after
the downfall of the Thai economy. Korea, like Mexico was given a huge bailout,
the largest in history of $55 billion. This move ended the contagion in South East
Asia, but left a wake of despair as poverty once again grew in these developing Asian
countries. Although the contagion in Asia was over, it had not yet started in other
parts of the world.
The crisis would hit Russia next, as investors envisioned low risk for an ex super
power with lots of atomic weapons. The investors reasoned that rich countries would
surely bail out Russia to avert instability if a financial crisis arose. The investors were
wrong; Russia defaulted on its loans and there was no bailout from rich nations. The
sentiment within the investor community now swung from one of high risk tolerance
to high risk aversion. The crisis would head to America next, when little know hedge
fund LCTM (Long Term Capital Management) neared bankruptcy. LCTM controlled
$100 billion in assets and was involved in all markets world wide, including Tokyo,
Singapore, London and Hong Kong. The decline in these world markets caused
losses in LCTM to spiral downward. Contagion had now come to Wall Street. Since
LCTM was a private fund, the government could not bail them out. Fortunately, U.S.
banks stepped in and saved LCTM, averting disaster. The

The main finding of this study is that the serum ADMA levels were significantly
increased in MHT patients with DM compared to normotensive diabetic subjects.
ADMA levels, BMI, and low HDL levels were independent predictors of MHT in
patients with DM.
ADMA levels positively correlated with ABPM measurements, especially daytime
measurements, but were not related to office BP measurements. ADMA levels may
play a role in prediction, with a good sensitivity and negative predictive value but
poor specificity and positive predictive value. To the best of our knowledge, this is
the first study to examine the relationship between ADMA and
MHT in the current literature.

In another elegant human trial, Achan et al. demonstrated that ADMA infusion
increases systemic vascular resistance by 24%, and mean arterial BP by 6% in
healthy subjects and that a bolus dose of ADMA decreases cardiac output by 15%
[18]. In a second part of that study, it was shown that a handgrip maneuver increased
cardiac output in control subjects by 96%, but in subjects given ADMA, cardiac
output increased by only 35%.
ADMA concentration 30 min after the infusion was 2.6 mol/L, however, the baseline
value was not provided. In addition, several studies have shown that serum ADMA
levels are increased in essential hypertension about two fold and are related to
impaired endothelial function [5,16]. Perticone and colleagues found that
ADMA in essential hypertensive subjects was strongly and inversely associated with
the peak increase in forearm blood flow
[5]. These studies demonstrated that ADMA plays an important role in the
regulation of vascular tone. It is known that ADMA levels are increased among
type 2 DM patients [19]. On the contrary, in a small study, Paiva et al. reported
decreased ADMA level in diabetics due to renal hyperfiltration [20]. It seems that the
prognostic value of ADMA is more important in patients with DM [21].
Krzyzanowska et al. reported that ADMA predicted cardiovascular events and
enhanced the predictive role of CRP in patients with type 2 diabetes.

32. Reasons For The Sexualization Of Culture
Suggest reasons why an intersectional approach to the Sexualization of Culture is
needed? Please draw on examples from the media in order to substantiate your
claims. 1. INTRODUCTION:
My analysis on the current literature shows that
scholars have examined sexualisation of culture from different perspectives but they
seem to agree in general that this societal phenomenon has grown very complex.
Therefore, scholars should consider the intersectional approach more often due to the
approach s abilities to recognise complex phenomena and to systematically analyse
them. The first part of this essay includes an literature review from several approaches
and their studies on the sexualisation of culture to show the complexity of the
phenomenon. The second part explains what contributions the intersectional
approach can offer the research on sexualisation of culture. The next part illustrates
how intersectionality has helped understanding the sexualization of culture through
an example of a violent, hard core porno film. Finally, the conclusion summarises
the main reasons for whether an intersectional approach is needed. 2.
LITERATURE REVIEW Sexualisation of culture has been so wide spread in our
everyday life, and scholars have looked at different parts of our lives where this
phenomenon exists. Many scholars made observations of commercialisation of sex in
the consumer culture, and there are a few different views on the phenomenon. In this
section, I will discuss different
33. The Importance Of Jurisdictionance Of Law
According to the ICJ statute jurisdiction of the court can only come into play once
consent has been established. this essay will thus discuss the different ways in
which the court jurisdiction comes into play and whether in light of this we can
deduce the existence of an ICJ compulsory jurisdiction. Under article 93 of the
UNC all members of the UN are members of the ICJ however, this does not confer
on it jurisdiction, this will come into play only after a state have given their consent
which is done in various ways; First, Consent can be given by Special agreement or
compromis Under article 36 of the Statute, this can be invoked after a dispute had
arisen through ad hoc means or on the basis of a reciprocal agreement. thus, states...

With regards reservations under article 36(3) of the ICJ, states can agree to the court
s jurisdiction as per article 36(2) but include reservations to limit the jurisdiction.
Reservations can be in relation to a treaty, in relation to matters of domestic
jurisdiction, matters they have agreed to settle through other means, or to disputes
that occurred prior to a date, these reservations also are used via the principle of
reciprocity for example, in the Norwegian Loans case the court dismissed France
application due to its reservation regarding matters of national jurisdiction. This
therefore demonstrates further that the court jurisdiction is limited by the
requirement of states sovereignty in conformity with the customary law position.
Further, the jurisdiction of the court is also limited by the fact that the other states
have to accept this obligation for the court to convene on a certain matter i.e. when
one state accepts the court s jurisdiction it can only bring a case against ICJ as long
as the other state has accepted this jurisdiction a state can also depend on article 36(5)
to claim the court jurisdiction. However, in the Nicaragua case the court rejected the
US arguments against its Jurisdiction and held that it still had jurisdiction under
customary law principles and that both the UN charter and customary law regulated
the use of

a business organization. As the captain I have to make sure everyone is accounted

said problem. This shows responsibility, character, and sympathy. These are core
values that all leaders must have to be successful. Without them, they will
35. The Cardiovascular System Of The Human Body
People often exercise in elevated temperatures and maintain an intense work out to
improve their maximum conditioning levels. Participating in such exercise
challenges the homeostasis of the human body. The way that the body reacts and
adapts to physical stress depends on various components. Specifically, exercising in
the heat can overload the body and decrease its capability to adapt to the stress that it
is being put through (Nielsen, Hales, Strange, Christensen, Warberg, Saltin, 1993).
Compared to a more neutral environment, exercising in the heat results in alterations
of the circulatory system, thermoregulatory system, and endocrine system(Nielsen,
Hales, Strange, Christensen, Warberg, Saltin, 1993). Despite these alterations, there
are several guidelines that coaches and athletes should follow to allow the body a
proper time frame to acclimate to the harsh temperatures , but the most effective
practice is heat acclimation ten to fourteen days prior to the date of maximum
exertion (Powers Howley, 2015). Allowing the body time to acclimate and learn how
to handle the stress from the heat, helps with acute and chronic adaptations. Being
aware of how the heat effects the body and understanding the physiological responses
as well as acute and chronic adaptations, should allow one s body to safely and
efficiently exercise during increased temperature.
There are multiple physiological responses depending on what specific system
someone may be referring to. For the

Direct Market is occurs when a customers is first exposed to a goods or service

individual consumers that is aimed at obtaining an immediate response and fostering
lasting customer relationships. Direct marketing can be in the form of telephone
marketing, direct mail, catalogs, kiosks, internet, and mobile marketing. These
developments provides unique opportunities for marketers as well as challenges
hence firms have to be current and continuously updating their strategies to meet the
demand of consumers.

The emergence of new telecommunication technology have prompt the need for

It may be difficult to gain individual customers data, direct marketing is effective only
when all information about the individual customer is available. It may be difficult to
obtain this data for the data based retailing system, as some consumers are unwilling
to disclose personal information due to illegal activities such as credit scamming and
identity theft. Not being able to obtain adequate information on customers purchasing

Case Assignment: CUTCO Corporation 1) Direct selling is defined as any kind of
selling that is made outside a fixed business location. Therefore, most of the
company that use direct selling are not well known, are small, privately owned or do
not have physical stores. Direct selling is essentially a push marketing strategy, and
the firms that use it do very little traditional advertising. Most of the direct sales take
place in a residence and on a one to one basis.

When it Comes to Criminals
Violence and crime have been splattered on the pages of history for centuries.
Sadly, however, they will be part of the future as well. Is being a police officer or
investigator as cool as they make it seem on television? Criminal Minds is just one
of the many investigative television shows that keep its audience pondering over the
reality of crimes. Criminal Minds portrays the psychologist as having a more active
role than they really do, explained Marc T. Zucker, academic chair of the
undergraduate School of Criminal Justice at Kaplan University, in one article. We all

This type of list would include content such as age, gender, personality, habits,
location, and so forth (Scottsdale). As vague as this information may seem, it will
not only help to locate the criminal, but it can also help solve crimes as well. Brian
Campbell, a probation officer from the United States Probation Office, says that
this job will require a criminal justice degree, an additional psychology degree, and
a bachelor s degree. Campbell also mentioned that some specific jobs will require
an individual to have a master s degree or be working to receive said degree.
Furthermore, apart from degrees, this specific career field will require very good
communication and people skills as well. Campbell mentions that the most difficult
part of his job is explaining to the family why the offender is either going to jail or
receiving disciplinary actions. This can be especially hard when there are children
involved because the last thing the officer wants to do is spoil the relationship
between the child and guardian.
Leading to the topic of crime, there is an unlimited amount of resources full of
statistics and crime rates. Preliminary figures indicate that law enforcement agencies
throughout the nation showed an overall increase of 1.7 percent in the number of
violent crimes brought to their attention for the first six months of 2015 when
compared with figures reported for the same time in 2014 (FBI). In 2014, there were

Some of my favorite memories with him happen over dinner. Dinner is one of the

be used in the smelting furnaces around Langthwaite. Turnpike roads extracted tolls
from travellers in order to pay for their building and maintenance. They often took
advantage of earlier routes, especially through valleys, which were formerly toll free.

Bell pits were one of the earliest methods of mining for lead and other minerals. A
vertical shaft was sunk to a depth of about 20 feet (6m) before digging
horizontally, along the vein. The ore and waste were removed by a hand winch and
a bucket. Due to poor ventilation, these workings could not progress very far before
the air became foul. There was also the danger of the tunnel collapsing. To prevent
this happening another bell pit was sunk close by. This procedure was repeated many
times, resulting in a line of bell pits spaced out along the length of the vein.
During our descent to Booze the scenery of Calver Hill, Fremington Edge and lower
Arkengarthdale rouses the senses. Booze is a small hamlet, consisting of just a few
farms and cottages, but unfortunately it does not have any licenced premises as its
name implies. As a matter of fact, most of its early residents were Methodists and so
they abstained from the demon drink. In 1473 the hamlet was known as Bowehouse,
changing through the years to Booze. The original name means The house by the

43. Internal Conflict In Sonny s Blues
Sonny s Blues
In James Baldwin s Sonny s Blues it is only when a brother loses his child that he
realizes how easy it can be to lose his brother. The narrator s little brother, Sonny,
was left in his charge when their parents passed away. He neglects Sonny and
leaves him to work through hard decisions on his own which leads to Sonny being
picked up by the police for using and selling drugs. When the narrator s daughter,
Grace, passes he sees how suffering can affect people and reaches out to Sonny, who
is fighting to make his way in the world through music. Baldwin shows us that you
don t have to see eye to eye on everything to accept that person. The narrator doesn t
agree with his brother s use of drugs and the comfort he finds in music. When the
news of his Sonny s arrest arrives he brushes it aside, not seeing a need to reach out to
his brother. I couldn t find any room for it anywhere inside me. He resents his brother
because he believes Sonny is intentionally suffering. When he reaching out to Sonny
he sees that music is helping him and the narrator begins to accept his different path.
Filling the air with the immense suggestion that Sonny speak for himself. He doesn t
try to persuade him to follow a path that guarantees success but embraces his way of
overcoming his suffering. The narrator s internal conflict displays that is having a
hard time reaching out and accepting Sonny because of the decisions he made. In the
beginning of the story,

Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, Juliet and Rosaline, Sherlock Holmes and Dr.
Watson all of these characters have one thing in common; they are foils of each
other. Foils are characters in literature that are used as a contrast in order to highlight
a particular quality of another character, typically the protagonist. The protagonist in
The Sorrow of War, Kien, is a complicated character. He experiences the effects of
war throughout his life, making it difficult to truly understand his personality.
Through the use of a foil, his childhood sweetheart Phuong, characteristics of Kien
begin to come to light. In The Sorrow of War, Bao Ninh uses the character Phuong
as a foil in order to further develop Kien s personality. From the start, it is... Show

On a freight train to meet with the rest of the soldiers, Phuong is raped by another
passenger. As soon as Kien realizes this, her image is shattered in his mind. The
way her character is described for the remained of the text takes a sudden turn. In
that moment when Phuong is trying to stop Kien from killing the man who raped
her, he spins around surging with hatred, and his face became deformed as he
grabbed her and shouted, get away, you whore (pg 207)! This is the first time we
see Kien truly yell at her, a defining moment in their relationship that would go on
to change the entire dynamic. The pure vision of Phuong and the idea he had in
his mind of his childhood love was effectively shattered. After the train incident,
the later loose track of each other and Kien finds out that Phuong is with some
male drivers with the military. With the driver? Was all that true? Could be ever

thoughts Kien has about the matter and how he ultimately feels. Still, there is a
part of him that continues to love her. Yet many years later he recalled the Phuong
s mother had predicted a few of the character changes in Phuong accurately. The
girl s soul would become warped and twisted when she played in the mainstream of
life, she had said (pg 200) shows that Kien did have some idea of what could have
happened to her, lessening the blow and lasting effects on his future and outlook.
Phuong s innocence is such an important aspect of Kien s personality that once that

46. Childbirth And The Italian Renaissance
Childbirth and Childbearing in Renaissance Italy for upper status woman, was far
different than what childbearing is compared to today s standards. In renaissance
Italy it was said that woman only had one purpose and that purpose was to have
many legitimate babies, especially for the nobility and upper status couples. From
having these babies, the family could inherit a lot of wealth (King, M. L., 2003).
This differs greatly in todays society, as now woman s primary function is not only
to produce children. Woman today are seen as equals to men, and have a larger
significance than just having their husbands children. Childbearing in the
Renaissance was not as easy or as safe as it is today either, as we will further
discuss. This paper will explain the role of child birthing and bearing in the Italian
Renaissance, everything from mortality rates, to wet nurses and this differs from
today s society. As mentioned before, the main role for woman in the renaissance
was to produce children for her husband and handle household affairs, this was
proven in the document by Alberti when he had said Furthermore, I made it a rule
never to speak with her of anything but household matters or of the children. Of
these matters I spoke a great deal to her...(Famiglia, D., 1996, pg 40). Thus showing
the wife s role was greatly dependent on her house and children. It was also
important, especially in the nobility, that the children the wife gave birth to were her
husband s children. Her role

What motivated conservative women into political activism between 1980 2008?
What organizations and networks did they form? What were their central issues?
After the sexual revolution of the 1960 s and 1970 s, conservatives were becoming
increasingly concerned about the rise of homosexuality and heterosexual
promiscuity prior to marriage. Conservatives were fearful of the immoralities they
were witnessing as well as the liberal notion of people depending on the government
to be a social provider and concerns about the implications of social activism that
they were witnessing. This called for a shift in politics and government. Voters

50. John Grisham And Malcolm X Essay
When Will beats the Storm
To be successful, the first thing to do is to fall in love with your work (Sister Mary
Lauretta). Success is not the cause to be happy, but happiness is the cause of
success. This is what proves the statement made by the brilliant authors, John
Grisham and Malcolm X in their texts Boxers, Briefs and Books and Prison Studies
respectively. They never dreamed to be famous, they simply worked hard in the field
of knowledge and showed a real love towards it. They overcame their exhaustive
conditions which pushed them toward idealism. Both authors story shed light on the
great willpower human should have, the positive vision leading them to success, in
two different styles of description.
At first, Malcolm X and John Grisham were industrious persons who thought
knowledge, and strived to achieve their dreams. They were never satisfied by their
situation and wanted to make a change. John Grisham tried many jobs, then he
wrote his first book, but it didn t sell. However, he never gave up even he was

he needs to move on and stop worrying about if his work will please others. In this,
George and Dot are finally reunited and George manages to find his vision again.
The first act of the show introduces us to the struggle of our main character. George
struggles with something that many artists struggle with: the need to create great
work, often at the cost of other things in life. George s life is consumed by this, as
shown in the number Finishing the Hat, where George expresses how his view of
the world works. How you watch the rest of the world from a window, while you

see the world through a window. The problem with the first act is that it never
resolves this struggle with George. Without the second act, George never is fully
resolved, left in this state of imbalance. The second act focuses on Seurat s
descendent, and his focus on being a successful artist. This new George has both the

55. Essay on Creation vs. Evolution in the Public Schools
Despite great efforts to convince the opposing side, a battle still brews amongst
creationists and evolutionists over the beginning of life and the universe, but neither
opinions palpability can be firmly upheld through scientific manners. Since science
can only prove hypotheses that are testable and based on current observations, neither
creation nor evolutionary concepts can be proven with irrefutable evidence. However,
regardless of the inability to prove either concept, most public school systems
promote evolutionas a scientific fact. Many students who lack firm beliefs about the
origin of life believe what they are taught without giving any personal thought to the

The word is now accepted to mean the change of nonliving chemicals into simple
life forms into more complex life forms and finally into humans. (Answers in
Genesis 1). Despite the many claims that evolution simply means a change,
scientifically speaking it means much more. Evolutionary ideals describe changes
that allow scientists to date life on the earth to be 4.5 billion years, to trace the
entire living population of every animal, insect, plant, virus, and bacteria back to
one simple cell, and to conclude that the first cell supposedly came into being
sporadically from a pool of organic molecules (Archean 1). Science cannot factually
support evolutionary concepts because evolution cannot be tested; observation holds
a critical role for experiments to take place, yet spontaneous creation of a cell has
not recurred since the alleged first living cell created itself. Evolution cannot be
proven, and therefore, the public school system should not teach evolution as fact,
especially with no exposure to alternative concepts. Creationists uphold the view in
which God created the universe and everything it contains; they believe God started
time and created life. Genesis 1:1 states In the beginning God created the heavens and
the earth (NIV Bible). Throughout the first two chapters of Genesis, Moses describes
the steps God took when creating the universe, light, stars, animals, land, sea, and yes,
even
