Abstract
In this Paper detailed study on Different types of Braking System used in Cars is done. It involves
a list of information on the various forms of braking system installed and the mechanism used in
different braking systems. Various Parts and components required in an automobile braking system
like brake lining, piston, etc is also included. It also gives detailed information on the history of
braking system and how the evolution of brakes came up.
Various types of braking system have been discussed. This paper not only focuses on major types
of braking system but also other types like pumping brakes, Dual Circuit Hydraulic Brakes, etc
which are not very famous.
In this paper Automatic Braking System has also been discussed which is the future of braking
system of our automobiles. This type of braking system reduces human input and uses artificial
intelligence to get the car to stop and also ensuring safety. Research work on such kind of braking
system can ensure a safer drive.
Intoduction
A brake is a mechanical gadget which hinders movement, abating or halting a moving vehicle or
keeping its movement.
Most brakes ordinarily utilize rubbing between two surfaces squeezed together to change over the
dynamic vitality of the moving article into warmth, however different routines for vitality
transformation may be utilized. For instance regenerative braking changes over a great part of the
vitality toelectrical vitality, which may be put away for later

The Signs Of Mania And Depression
Just being aware of the signs of mania and depression can significantly help a loved one who
suffers from bipolar. Knowing what to do in these situations is key, and being supportive goes a
long way. In violent situations, the bipolar individual might need to be medicated or sedated.
Jamison speaks frankly about violent outbursts she s had throughout her life and within her
relationships. Both my manias and depressions had violent sides to them. Violence, especially if
you re a woman, is not something spoken about with ease. Being wildly out of control physically
assaultive, screaming insanely at the top of ones lungs, running frenetically with no purpose or
limit, or impulsively trying to leap from cars is frightening to others and unspeakably terrifying
to oneself. In blind manic rages I have done all of these things, at one time or another, and some
of them repeatedly; I remain acutely aware of how difficult it is to control or understand such
behaviors, much less explain them to others. (Jamison 120). A popular show currently on
television that depicts a realistic and accurate account of bipolar disorder is Homeland. The
award winning Showtime cable TV series starring Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a CIA agent
with bipolar disorder, tells a spellbinding story of espionage and counterterrorism in the middle and
Far East, but also accurately depicts mental illness as it occurs in real life. // Her character portrays
volatility and unpredictability that often

Example Of Pragmatic Equivalence
Over decades, the concern of translators and scholars of language use have transformed piecemeal
from the language itself to its intended meanings to solve the problems of misunderstanding and
ambiguity. Pragmatic Equivalence is one of the prominent studies, which contributes to deal with
this matter. Pragmaticsitself is an independent branch of language studies which studies the use of
language in human communication as determined by the conditions of society. (Mey, 2001, p.6)
However, equivalence means to give a similar impact from the source text on the target reader.
Accordingly, the Pragmatic Equivalence studies seek to translate what the source writer or speaker
really means in particular situations, and according to special conditions,... Show more content on

Grice has presumed that the participants of the same speech or conversation try most of time to be
honest, pertinent, informative and obvious. Unlike the politeness principle (PP), which has been
known to have some reservations about human communicational speeches, Grice has claimed that
we need the CP to help to account (to).. the relation between sense and force; and this kind of
explanation is particularly welcome where it solves. (Leech, 1983, P.80) In 1975, Grice has firstly
suggested the concept of the CP in his article Logic and Conversation ; in which the roles of the
speakers and listeners are determined to have effective communications, and later on that will help
translators in conveying the message of the author to the readers. The principle can be divided into
these next four maxims:
(i)Maxim of quality: a type of maxims, in which the speaker expects the hearer to be explicit and
real. For example; when the speaker is making a cake , and he needs to add some sugar as one of
its ingredients, then the listener is expected to handle the speaker the sugar box; not the salt nor
pepper ones. (Grice, 1975, pp.

Privatization of Social Services Essay
The Benefits of Privatization of Social Services
Contracting out is the process through which public organizations contract with private sector
organizations to provide services normally provided by public agencies. It is a form of
privatization, which is defined as any shift of activity or functions from the state to the private
sector, more specifically, the shift of production of goods or servicesfrom public to private. (Starr,
5) Privatization reduces the role of government and increases the role of private sector agencies.
However, public agencies maintain ultimate control over the provision of services and they control
government funding.
In an effort to reduce costs, enhance efficiency or improve services, many states ... Show more

Like most public agencies, DPSS operates under the elite model of organizational structure. This
structure dictates that formal rules and process are followed in order to reach the organization s
goals. Therefore, in order to effectively contract out and maintain and effective organization,
management must engage in the practice of well known management principles (POSDCORB).
Practicing the principles of planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting, and
budgeting, management can make sound decisions about the implementation and management of
contracts. The effectiveness and efficiency in which the agency is run and the manner in which the
contract is managed is grounded in the effective practice of these principles.
In this research paper I will discuss the process of contracting out, issues of cost, credibility,
accountability, and quality and quantity of services. My discussion will also include reasons for
contracting out, opposition, and advantages and problems of contracting out.
REASONS FOR CONTRACTING OUT
Research indicates that there are several valid reasons for contracting out:
To obtain special skills or supplemental staff.
To meet demands beyond current government capacity.
To improve service quality.
To provide clients with more choice of providers and levels of service. (Nightingale

The War Plan For South Korea
North and South Korea, which have technically been at war for the last 65 years, are again acting
like it. (npr.org) They ve always been fighting each other, and this is another one of their battles. It
all started when there was an explosive from landmines in the DMZ, which is the sort of de facto
border that separates North and South Korea, which injured two South Korean soldiers that the
South has blamed on North Koreabut, of course, North Korea has not apologized for. (npr.org) That
angered South Korea which lead them to start anti North propaganda broadcasting through
loudspeakers. Consequently, both sides have been arguing at the DMZ. Then, everything was
settled when both sides made an agreement; however, no one really knows what Kim Jong Un will
do. As a result, the United Statesare hesitant, so the top U.S. commanders reviewed the U.S. war
plan for defending South Korea in case there was a sudden indication that North Korea was
going to begin a war. (cnn.com) They are on the watch for movement for activation of air
defences and artilleries. Currently, South Korea is low on missionary materials to fight North
Korea, so South Korea is going to need the U.S. s help. North Korea has half a million more
armed forces, 10,000 more artillery pieces, a thousand more tanks, and etc. This can be very
dangerous for South Korea if North attacks. It can also be dangerous if U.S. helps South Korea
meaning North Korea can attack U.S. Immigration has

The Importance Of Search For Waldo s Life
So, where is Waldo? Yes, Waldo: the funny looking fellow in the red and white striped sweater,
identically patterned hat, black glasses, and blue jeans who has been evading the eyes of
children and adults since 1987. Ever since its publication 31 years ago, Waldo, with his ardent
affinity for backpacking and time travel, explores majestic castles and ruins, on a journey not yet
named nor realized. Once someone begins to go through the many pages of sublime color and
intricate detail, it is almost impossible to stop. At first, we want to find Waldo for the sake of
entertainment, simply flipping through pages leaving some of the oddities of the two page
worldndiscovered. But before long, we come to find that search for him is important, resulting...

Immersed in a huge crowd of people, we are expected to find Waldo, just like in our real lives we
happen to be crowded by people, money, school, and work. But what matters most in life is
worth searching in the chaos. Always placed in scenes of a chaotic nature, Waldo s adventures
represent our own lives. Much like looking for Waldo in a book, to find what we actually desire,
we must ignore the chaos happening around us and focus on what we really care and are
passionate about. Our own individual journeys can be seen to carry much similarity with our
desire to uncover Waldo. Much like how we strive for purpose, have many goals, and after
attaining these goals, we lose purpose, and must strive new feats to strive for. It make take a
paltry seconds to discover the red and white sly guy, or an entire lifetime. We may be searching
for love, the perfect career, fortune, justice, or fame. Whatever our endeavors may be, we shall
look for Waldo. Though, there will be times where we see apexes and nadirs, times we find him
with celerity, or moments where we simply fail to find him and must turn the page. But when we
find Waldo, we turn the pages of life after a certain personal milestone, ending that scene and it

Coffee rust disease is the greatest threat to the coffee...
Coffee rust disease is the greatest threat to the coffee industry worldwide and has the potential to
improve or hurt Brazil s economy while having a significant impact on the United States. Coffee
is second only to petroleum for exports in developing countries. Over 500 billion cups of coffee are
consumed globally each year. The worldwide coffeesupply comes primarily from Central and
South America accounting for 67 percent of production (Goldschein, 2011). Coffee rust disease is
a wind borne fungus that spreads quickly. Once infected, crop yields are significantly reduced
(Arneson, 2000). In their annual reports from recent years, Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts both list

As the coffee industry in Brazil grew so did the infrastructure of the country. By the 1900 s
coffee made up 70 percent of exports from Brazil. The increased productivity led to an excess in
the market that coupled with diminished demand caused a Brazilian depression and created
discontent with the current political system that led to dictatorship control (E, 2008) (The
Library of Congress, 2010). With the emergence of a more democratic political system and
deregulation other crops developed as important exports. This was further encouraged by the
government due to a need to have a more diversified economy (The Library of Congress, 2010).
Even with shifting production to other crops Brazil remains an important part of the world s coffee
supply as shown in figure 1.

outbreak affected 90 percent of their crops and shifted their production to tea. Britain, a major

Emily Grierson From A Rose For A Rose For Emily
Judith Fetterley argued in her critical essay that Emily Grierson from a Rose for A Rose for
Emily was empowered and victimized by her gender and class. However the girl from Boys and
Girls and Gertrude from Hamlet had not been as lucky as Miss Emily. In a Rose for A Rose for
Emily Emily Grierson was the daughter of Mr. Grierson, who was a respected man in Jefferson.
After his death Miss Emily still conserved her title of a lady even if all the town folks knew that
she didn t have money left. Miss Emily took advantage of the fact that she was a lady to not pay
the tax to the new town leaders by saying that she was exempted of taxes by the previous mayor
of the town. She knew that the town people would not bother to ask her to pay the taxes that she
legally had to pay as her father was dead and they were concerned about Miss Emily s mental
health, but it was mostly because Emily Grierson was a lady and it would be considered
disrespectful to force a womanof this status to settle her debt. Moreover, the town folks were
complaining about a powerful odor emanating from her house. The Judge Stevens present at that
time estimated that it was very inconvenient to mention to a woman of this rank that her house
smells bad. So he decided that a few men from town would sneak in Miss Emily s house to spread
lime around the Griersons property. Even this time the town people could not confront Miss Emily
for her acts. When she started dating a northern man named Homer Barron,

isolated case or other employees making significant salaries as well?
Cathy is making significantly more than Harvey s best salespersons and managers, almost as much

does not lie with just overlooked financial, payroll documents but Harvey s lack of participation in
the financials of his business. When Harvey hired Cathy, he could not offer her requested salary,

Compare The Structure Of Prokaryotic And Eukaryotic Cells
Vicki Millard
Unit 10193 Introduction to Cell Biology
1.Compare the structures of Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells
There are two different types of cells; prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Both cells have differences,
including the shape and size of the cell. Prokaryote cells are found in bacteria such as E coli,
Streptococcus and Staphylococcus, whilst eukaryote cells are found in plants, animals and fungi.
Eukaryotic cells have many components which lead to the cell having a much more complex
structure and are larger in size, measuring between 10 and 100 micrometres in diameter.
Prokaryotic cells, on the other hand, are much smaller, measuring between 0.2 and 2 micrometres
and having a much simpler structure. The two cells share similarities such as; containing DNA,
ribosomes and cytoplasms. According to Bassett, The ribosomes are told, what kind of protein to
make and when to make it via the direction of the DNA. [Bassett. Dawsonera.com. P. 83. 2005.]
DNA in a prokaryotic cell is described to be a single circular chromosome, whereas the eukaryotic
cell has multiple linear chromosomes. However, the main comparison between the two cells is that
the eukaryotic cell contains a nucleus, whereas the prokaryotic cell lacks a nucleus.

Reflective Essay On Religion
Throughout my life I have been lost and confused when it comes down to one aspect of life,
religion. I felt out of place in scripture class freshman year because I knew close to nothing about
Catholicism and about who God is. Up until my time at Brophy, I did not even really consider
religion to be a part of my life. I rarely thought about Godand the only times I did were times that
were selfish and when I thought I needed help. Like before a big game I would ask him to help
me get a hit, or crossing my fingers when it was the final play of a game and hoping God would
help. Looking back that s because I did not truly know who God is, and I m not saying I do now,
but I for sure have a greater understanding through my experience and research. In chapter two I
explored who God is and was able to find a good connection of who God is through the words of
Reverend Doctor William Barry. Barry brings up the idea of how God and is like our parents in
a way how they provide us with comfort and are always there when we need them. This I agree
with because I believe that the best way that I have encountered God through my time at Brophy
has been through the actions with others, not only my parents, but I have been reinforced that
God can be found in simple ways. In my first experience with getting my dog Harper I talked
about how that was one of the only strong evidences that I have of God working in my life. And
this is most likely because I feel that God was acting as a parent to me

Effects Of Subpopulation On Polar Bears
A primary response to change is the ability of individuals to modify their behavior patterns
relation to spatial distribution and phenological shifts. However, for species living in
environmental extremes, they have little opportunity to regulate the climate warming changes to
their physical environment and must display plasticity in their key behaviors to cope with the
changes. Polar bears face the dilemma of remaining with ice that has retreated past biologically
productive shallow waters or to move away from the retreating sea ice to the shore which can lead
to inadequate resources and exposure to risk factors. There was an investigation on polar bears

Information Technology for Business 1
Information Technology for Business
Introduction
Technology has created new revenue streams via the Internet and e commerce, new connections
with clients and consumers at work, home, and by mobile applications, and enables business to
conduct commerce across the US and on a global scale (Munson, 2011). Office technologies have
advanced and have allowed business to advance to a point of doing business with global customers,
not just their own areas. It has created a communication standard that is faster and enables
businesses to conduct business at faster levels than ever before. But with new technologies
problems also arise that need to be addressed.
Types of Information Technologies The most prominent example of information technology is the
Internet with its World Wide Web component (Blackhurst, 2002). The Internet has enabled
businesses to set up website storefronts that enable consumers all over the globe to shop anywhere
on the web from anywhere they are. A customer in China can shop a website storefront in the US
without going to the US to shop the business. Education Resources Information Center (ERIC)
enables search and location of educational literature on a given topic from most of the world. This
enables business to gain employee training materials that promotes the advancement of knowledged
employees. Businesses can conduct training sessions at reduced costs. Other common types of

Analysis Of Bottled By Helene Johnson
During the Harlem Renaissance, many African Americans were able to reveal and experience
their culture through music, literature, and art. In the poem Bottled , Helene Johnson writes a
narrative about someone experiencing the Harlem Renaissance. Helene Johnson, a poet during
the Harlem Renaissance, appears to have wrote Bottled as an example of African Americans
realizing their heritage and being proud of where they originated. The poem Bottled does tell a
story of one seeking their heritage by observing someone letting loose and embracing their own
origins by dancing on the streets of Harlem. Though at first the narrator seems confused, later he
or she discovers the true meaning of this person s action. The title Bottled itself seems to refer to
the roots of many African Americans that were hidden and could not be expressed. Through
Helene Johnson s choice of diction and target audience, the poem Bottled has a meaning of
heritage and finding one s roots. When reading Bottled , there is no hard vocabulary nor slang
that makes it difficult to read; however, there is a lively language that carries out through the
poem. In lines 5 6, the narrator explains, Just like the kids make pies/ Out of down at the beach to
describe the bottle of sand in the library. This comparison seems to be childish because the narrator
is relating it to an activity done by children, yet, it makes it easier to visualize. African Americans

Knighthood And Chivalry In The Tales Of Marie De France
The tales of Marie de France, shed light on the romantic relationships and chivalry of this time
period. This is very insightful for modern people to be able to read and understand the culture of
that time. Knighthood and chivalry were respected by some, but many times they were disregarded
for passion. Love and marriageare largely connected to physical attractiveness of the person and
the passion involved. Marriage is not a very serious commitment and will be disregarded whenever
another presents themselves as a more attractive lover. Religion is not huge in the stories but can
be present when looking for a lover. Magic plays a part in the Yonec and Bisclavret stories, but is
not largely present throughout.
In the tale of Equitan, the nature of knighthood and chivalry is shown through the relationship of
Equitan and his knight. Although Equitan had said that he was a man who upheld chivalry,
throughout the story he lusts, lies, and takes his knight s wife for his own. He begs her and
claims being sick until she is willing to be his, and this does not shed a positive light on his
chivalry and king s honor.
In Milun, honor has a big place in the story. For example, Milun must go to the other country to
fight the one knight who claims to be better than him to defend his honor. Although when he
realizes he has been beat by him he shows respect for him because he has truly been beat. His son
also shows respect when he sees his gray hair and recognizes that he had hurt an older man. This
shows the good side of chivalry where the knights respected each other and good duels.
The stories show that marriage and love is not regarded highly, Equitan steamrolls through his
knight s trust by taking his wife and scheming to kill him. Love is presented as the desire for
someone because of their looks. In the tale of Bisclavret, his wife s love and marriage is secondary
to is thinking that it is weird that her husband turns into a wolf. She does not really love him or
care for their marriage. She then uses a knight of her husband s to scheme to kill him by taking his
clothes. This shows how easy it was in that time for people to find others who desire them and are
willing to turn on the people their king.

Essay About Ferdinand Magellan
While Ferdinand Magellan was still living he had once said, The sea is dangerous and its storms
terrible, but these obstacles have never been sufficient reason to remain ashore...unlike the
mediocre, intrepid spirits seek victory over those things that seem impossible...it is with an iron

On February 3, 1480, Ferdinand Magellan was born to mother, Alada de Mesquita, and father,

The Pros And Cons Of The Nordic Model
The Merriam Webster dictionary defines a free market as one where the government does not
meddle, but leaves private companies to compete for said business. In a completely free market,
private enterprise competes for a certain piece of a market and there are no government controls
over it. However, there are some markets which are illegal, where prosecution of the crime does
not allow the free market to function. In some cases, social problems arise because the market is
not being allowed to behave the way it was meant to. In this paper we will delve into such an
illegal activity and the social problems that have arised because of it. Also, we will go ahead and
ponder how effective it would be to incorporate some type of free market... Show more content on

Decriminalize everything around it and treat it as a regular business, subject to all regulations
businesses have. Sabin (2015), explains how it has been done in Spain where the courts have ruled
that sex workers are entitled to the same rights as other workers. From unemployment, to healthcare
to a pension the Barcelona court ruled that sex workers are entitled to what all other workers have a
right to.
In my opinion, this approach as well as legitimizing such businesses and taking them out of the
underground, leaves them open to taxation and to comply with other regulations that other
companies must comply with. In this scenario, supply and demand work in the same manner as
any other business. Because the workers have rights, these people can feel they are part of
society and there would be a decline on the social problems it creates such as homelessness and
drug addiction. Also, society benefits as a whole in the decline of violence, trafficking and the
steady tax capture from a business never before taxed. Thus supply and demand would work the
sex trade than any other service for profit

Examples Of Trickery In Hamlet
The Characters in the play use a trait to mankind known as trikery to bribe other characters in the
play so that they can add to their own gains. The way that they speak to control others with their
words to and the people they control don t even realize that they are being controlled.
When hamlet is preparing the mouse for the king to view he rewrites the play so that he could
have the king and the queen watch it. It is part of the trickery that hamlet uses to get to Claudius
in order to spill his knowledge and his father s death to see if he is guilty to the crime. The way
that the king reacts to the situation of the play shows that hamlet knows a thing or two about
tricking people. In the scene in the theater when hamlet tells his buddy

Satire On Homelessness
omelessness does not discriminate; it can affect people from all walks of life no matter sex, race, or
religion. Last year alone, more than 3.5 million people experienced homelessness. Thirty five %
affecting families with children and mental illness contribute to the lowest at twenty% (Students
against Hunger). There are many different homeless population in between, such as military
veterans, children under the age of 18, and those that have experienced domestic violence just to
name a few. Homelessnessis a social problem because it depletes federal funding, increases taxes,
and can lead to criminal activity. The reaction to homelessness regarding the homeless is a social
problem in itself. It seems that Americans view homelessness as a threat to society, an
embarrassment, and sometimes one may even try to act as though the problem does not even exist.
They turn their heads in shame, disgust, pity, distaste and fear. When thinking about the
Conservative views on homelessness in my community, I immediately think about the old Symbolic
Interaction Theory, where it is believes that homelessness is a personal deficiency. According to
our text, society s individualistic culture persuades them that homelessness is a direct result of the
victims doing by lack of motivation and intelligence, as well as being responsible for their own
social standing that puts individuals in the situation of being homeless in the first place (pg.48)

The Degree Of Mba Degree
There is controversy in the added value a student gets out of a degree in Masters of Business
Administration (MBA). Experts outside of the field argue that the MBA degree program
provides courses for students, but that the courses are not teaching the students skills that they
need for the field. Chris Roebuck says that MBA School graduates educated bad leaders, (62).
Jeffrey Pfeffer; a professor of organizational behavior says that not all successful business leaders
have an MBA degree (12). Supporting professor Pfeffer, Charles Haddad mentions that
successful businessmen have made a career without a degree in MBA. For example, Bill Gates
and Ted Turner say they didn t bother with the degree because over a span of years the degree
lessens in value (12). Attaining an MBA degree has better benefits than those who don t because a
degree ensures that you are qualified and skillful in doing your job. Having an MBA degree
enhances managementpractice because it gives you tools that prepare you for the field, a broader
perspective on how business is run, and enriches your learning experience by networking with
peers of various disciplines. MBA programs are designed to prepare, and enhance managers for
difficulties they might find in the field. Having an MBA gives the manager a broader perspective
on the business as a whole, and allows more strategic decisions that will ultimately impact the
bottom line. Studies suggest that for most managers, the MBA program was seen to

Few Animal Studies Have Proved That Gabapentin Has A...
Few animal studies have proved that gabapentin has a potential to activate a serotonin receptor
(5HT3) at the spinal level and also attenuate the function of microglial cells[6]. In some parts of
the brain such as periaqueductal grey (PAG) and anterior cingulated cortex, gabapentin has been
shown to elevate the level of GABA, a major inhibitory neurotransmitter, which might serve as an
explanation of its efficacy in partial management of seizure[14]. Although gabapentin is approved
to be used as an add on treatment of focal epilepsies in 6 years and older patients and as
monotherapy in patients older than 12 years of age, it seems to show no efficacy when used in a

Due to an effect of gabapentin at the level of hypothalamus to regulate the temperature, it can
also be used as an effective non hormonal therapy for hot flashes, a bothersome problem of
menopause. It is shown to be more efficacy if used in patients with hot flashes that associated
with sleep interference [17]. Study shows that a bioavailability of gabapentin is low and it is
dose dependent. The bioavailability of 300 mg is around 60% and decreasing to less than 30%
if the dosage is 1600 mg 3 times a day [4; 11]. It has low protein binding property and it is
eliminated unchanged in the urine, which means it will not change into toxic metabolite or
intermediate that can be harmful to the body. Gabapentin has a short half life of 5 to 9 hours,
but with renal impairment, it will increase[4]. A dose adjustment is required in patient who has
creatinine clearance of 60 ml/min and in the elderly because of reduced renal function that has
been thought to be decreased around 1% per year after the age of 40[4; 16]. A number needed to
treat (NNT) of gabapentin is 6.3 and its number needed to harm (NNH) is 25.6, therefore it is
considered a safe drug [6]. The ceiling effect has been reported to be 100 mg/kg in one study and
30 300 mg/kg in another study following oral administration [13]. The pharmacokinetic of
absorption of gabapentin is not linear unlike other newer anti seizure medications. The explanation

Trends in the Industry of IT and the Business Cycles Essay
The name information technology was used for the first time in 1958, in an article in Harvard
Business Review and since that time this industry has seen only innovations throughout the history.
Some problems that the industry is facing are the increase competition from the offshore and
inshore players, the slow growth of the hardware sales, the decrease in the IT spending globally etc.
But despite all the problems and challenges that the industry is facing, the opportunities are many.
One of the most important ones is the increased number of the smart device users which is
established as a very profitable segment for the information technology segment.

The slowdown in the IT spending globally
According to information technology industry estimates, global IT spending growth has been 2%
which is smaller than the previous forecast of 4.1% for 2013. The decrease in the IT spending by
enterprises as the cut on capital expenditure is due to economic uncertainties prevailing globally
which could negatively impact the IBM s revenue growth.
Competition from offshore players
The competition from offshore players has been increasing in recently. Offshore IT outsourcers are
selling directly to the end users and in this way they compete directly with the local suppliers of
these services such as IBM. This phenomenon creates a highly competitive industry which makes
companies to continually search for ways to differentiate themselves from their competitors.
SlowGrowth in the hardware segment
One of the main problems is the slow growth in the hardware segment. IBM sales growth has
been flat in the last quarters because the company has been unable to successfully close new
multimillion dollars hardware and software deals in the last year because of the bad economic
conditions. The hardware sales have been declining because different firms prefer moving to
cloud services which run largely on low cost hardware often custom build for cloud architectures.
IBMs revenues from servers and hardware have been decreasing a lot. Even though IBM moved to
a new high value area such as

Blind People Myths
Now, there are many myths that people hold about blind people. Some of the myths that the
narrator in Cathedral holds are, This blind man, feature this, he was wearing a full beard! A
beard on a blind man! Too much to say (Cite). Much to contrary belief, blind people s hair still
grows the same as anyone else s hair as long as they don t have any other disease that would
interfere with hair growth. Another myth that our narrator thinks is when he says, But he didn t
use a cane and he didn t wear dark glasses. I d always thought dark glasses were a must for the
blind (Cite). The reality is, not all blind people carry a cane or wear dark glasses. However, there
are many reasons why most blind people choose to. Blind people, just like any other person
needs to protect their eyes from UV sun rays, and because they are blind they cannot tell where
they are looking at the sun or not, therefore the sunglasses help in this way. Another reason a
blind person might wear sunglasses is for aesthetic reasons, as was read in the story the narrator
wished that Robert would wear the dark sunglasses, he says: Fact was. I wished he had a pair. At
first glance, his eyes looked like anyone else s eyes. But if you looked close, there was something
different about them. Too much white in the iris, for one thing, and the pupils seemed to move
around in the sockets without his knowing it or being able to stop it (Cite). With wearing
sunglasses, it can make other people at ease (Ashish).

Question 1: Describe the Rehn Meidner economic model, its development and discuss its
applicability in the contemporary economic landscape.
Answer 1: The Rehn Meidner model was developed by the Swedish trade union confederation
(Landsorganisitionen i Sverige) economists Gösta Rehn and Rudolf Meidner and presented
during a LO congress in 1951. It is based on an active labor market policy, a solidarity wage
policy and a restrictive macroeconomic policy which combined should lead to a full employment,
fair wages, price stability and a high economic growth (Erixon, 2010: 677). Even though Sweden s

It began with the mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1995 and continued with the ISAF

of the current problematic situation in Europe it is possible Sweden has to react in order of

public debate of a NATO membership rose in the 2000s and had strong supporters. Because of its

The Pros And Cons Of Two Dollar Click
Two Dollar Click is a paid to click site, offering rewards that are just too much to be taken seriously.
They have been online for a few years and somehow they are still going.
The owner Jordan Welsh, which is thought to be an alias, has been involved with other scam sites
Six Dollar Clicks, Ten Dollar Clicks, NeoDollar, Bux Inc and perhaps more.
Another name that comes up when researching these sites is Michael Pratt, who is a well known
scammer. However, he claims not to be running the scam sites, he sells the scripts that make the
sites function.

In order to be paid you need to have earnt at least $1000, which is a huge amount. Most PTC sites
have payment thresholds of a few dollars. The payments can be made through Paypal or Payza.
Payments are made on a net 60 basis, which means you will recieve your money 60 days after
asking for it.
I don t think you should be under any illusion, you will never be paid. Well known PTC sites that
have been around for a few years rarely offer ads to watch even at $1. So $2 a click is not possible,
don t be taken in by the hype.
How do Two Dollar Click make money?
To fund the click payments they provide advertising. For an ad to be watched or clicked 1000 times
it only costs $5 or 1/2 a cent per click. You can order up to 25000 clicks, always for the same price
of 1/2 cent per click. Premium members can also buy banner ads.
Consequently, Two Dollar Click are paying out $2 for something for which they are paid 1/2 cent.
Who pays the other $1.995? No one, they cannot generate sufficient money to pay their members,
clearly this is unsustainable.

Home Rule As A Force Of Unity And Division Of Irish...
Discuss Home Rule as a force of unity and division in Irish political life during the period 1886 to
1921.
The home rule question played a prominent part in Irish history for over 40 years. Home Rule, the
ideology that a country under a colony would rule itself from home, caused bitter political and
social divisions throughout Ireland. Whilst the division between nationalists and unionist became
rife, Home Rule unified many that were willing to fight for Ireland s cause.
In Ulster there was a sectarian rivalry between Protestants and Catholics. The secret ballot act of
1872 and the Reform act of 1884 reduced the political power of protestant and they felt
threatened. From 1885 to 1886, Home Rule became a greater possibility for Ireland, unionists and
Protestants became more restless and agitated. Divisions emerged in politics and in 1885 the Irish
Loyal and Patriotic Union were set up to fight Home Rule. After the general election of 1885
divisions were further polarised between unionists and nationalists. The electorate was divided into
the Home Rulers and the unionists. The Orange Order was revived and it unified Protestants of all
classes against Home Rule. Many Protestants became a member of the Ulster Loyalist and Anti
Repeal Union which was established in 1886. The Conservative Party in Britain established an
alliance with unionist. This unification was set up to protect the interests of the British Empire.
The Conservatives believed that if Home Rule was

John Lennon Research Paper
I was, to be honest, devastated when the Beatles broke up to go their separate ways, and always
torn between the music of Paul McCartney, which was always more rock and roll and raw, and
that of John Lennon often introspective and quiet but eternally thought provoking, because his
was a talent bordering on genius, tinged perhaps with a hint of madness? I loved each of them
in their own way, but somehow always found Lennon songs came to mind more readily. Imagine
was far and away his best album, the title track covered so often now that almost every artist you
can name has sung it at least once , but this most iconic of albums was perhaps not exactly what it
appeared to be. It was, without question, a truly gigantic success commercially, both when first
released, and on the re release following his sudden death at the hands of a deranged individual
Mark David Chapman on December 8th 1980, in front of his home but it was not the album that
those who had expected a return to pop music had envisaged. Lennon loved Yoko Ono with a
passion, and that came through in this album with a vengeance. The pair of them were famous for
protesting things they regarded as unjust and perhaps the most evocative protest song of all time

work for me. All in all, I would say that this was an amazing demonstration of how versatile,
moody and brilliant Lennon was as a song writer. This was an album filled with a mischievous
sense of fun that never seemed to get repeated in later albums, and for that reason, for me at least,

Trial by Media
Chapter I Introductory The subject of Trial by Media is discussed by civil rights activists,
Constitutional lawyers, judges and academics almost every day in recent times. With the coming
into being of the television and cable channels, the amount of publicity which any crime or
suspect or accused gets in the media has reached alarming proportions. Innocents may be
condemned for no reason or those who are guilty may not get a fair trial or may get a higher

Zee Telefilms (IA 8185/2003 in Suit No. 1543/2003 dated 24.1.2005) aptly describe the state of
affairs of today s media. He says that journalism and ethics stand apart. While journalists are
distinctive facilitators for the democratic process to function without hindrance the media has to
follow the virtues of accuracy, honesty, truth, objectivity, fairness, balanced reporting, respect or
autonomy of ordinary people . These are all part of the democratic process. But practical
considerations, namely, pursuit of successful career, promotion to be obtained, compulsion of

factors for the temptation to print trivial stories salaciously presented . In the temptation to sell

Suspects and accused apart, even victims and witnesses suffer from excessive publicity and
invasion of their privacy rights. Police are presented in poor light by the media and their morale

whatever gossip the media gathers about the line of investigation by the official agencies, it gives
such publicity in respect of the information that the person who has indeed committed the crime,
can move away to safer places. The pressure on the police from media day by day builds up and

represents that Brain starts to become patient and investigates his surroundings with a exceptional

situation like this one occurs again. Brain interprets, You are the best thing you have . This
displays that Brain overcomes his anxiety feeling and starts logically thinking about his
advantages he has. This is important because Brain needs as much dignity he can get because of
his mental and physical conditions he is in. As a result, Brain begins to think about excellent
thoughts also, is being resourceful for the time being. I relate to this book because I have had an

his ability to evolve to the wilderness. In Paulsen s moving novel, Hatchet, Brain is in

Naughton Thesis Statement
Thesis Statement: Naughton s overall goal in this article was for the audience to consider both
sides of the argument and create their own belief upon the matter by using rhetorical choices such
as appealing to expert opinions, statistics used in a poll, the tone and advanced diction.
Quote 1: Although there is much still to understand about the brain, the impact of the internet has
helped us to learn new ways of measuring its organization as a network. It has also begun to show
us that the human brain probably does not represent some unique pinnacle of complexity but may
have more in common than we might have guessed with many other information processing
networks (Naughton 445).
Analysis 1: I will use this in my first body paragraph as a example of the rhetorical choice appeal
to expert opinion with the expert expressing the internet affects the brain in a positive way. The
majority of the article and the overall rhetorical choice used by Naughton is the use of different
opinions of experts and writers to strength the article s credibility. Naughton displays the statements

Advantages Of The Divine Command Theory
The Divine Command Theory is of the view that morality is somehow independent upon God, and
that the moral obligation consists of obedience to God s commands. The divine Command Theory
also includes the claims that morality is based on the commands or how God is, and that the right
thing to do is what Godcommands of one to do. The specific content of these divine commands
alternates according to the particular religionand the particular views of the individual divine

known as pseudoscience. Even so, it is useful to recognize the distinctions, as science doesn t
always clearly do so. For the boundary between scienceand religion, a majority of the cases can be
separated well through the verificationistic view. While empirical matters are primarily dealt with
science, spiritual matters are primarily dealt with religion because they cannot be objectively and
empirically observed.
When distinguishing science from non science, it s easiest to start by defining the fundamentals
that make up what science is, and then define all of the fields that fall outside this definition as
non science. At it core, science is a system of acquiring knowledge about the physical world
through objective experimentation and observation. Therefore, fields that do not involve the
acquisition of knowledge, such as art and business, can be classified as being non science.
Moreover, mathematics is a field considered to be non science because doesn t acquire knowledge
about the physical world. The field of engineering proves to be an interesting case. While engineers
practically apply scientific knowledge, the field as a whole is non scientific.
Now we come to the most complicated division between science and ... Show more content on

It is clear to see that the demarcation problem is far from being solved in contemporary
philosophy of science. The main reason for this is the lack of philosophical agreement on a single
criterion. Perhaps demarcating science needs to be looked at a different angle in which multiple

Primark Case
Building a clothing brand from the ground up in the U.S. can be a daunting task for a mid size
entrepreneurial start up. Given the competitive nature both domestically and internationally, every
avenue for increased market share must be explored. The apparel industry in particular is constantly
changing due to evolving fashion trends which is stimulated by social media. In order to keep pace,
we must continuously offer innovative and unique products to help maintain and grow our existing
business. In the event of failing to innovate and upgrade our products, sales will be adversely
impacted and create excess inventory. As a result of this, clearance sales and widespread
markdowns will help clear the inventory but will ultimately dilute the brand. The current market
outlook for the clothingindustry in the U.S. can be described as rocky at best. Major brands such
as J. Crew, Abercrombie Fitch, and Gap have struggled mightily. Gap, once the world leader in
specialty apparel, has particularly fallen on hard times. Over the past decade, sales have fallen 8%
and in June 2016, the clothing giant plans on closing one quarter of its stores in North America
(Faster, Cheaper Fashion, 2015). Primark, on the other hand, is an international clothing brand

Rhetorical Analysis Of No Firemen At Ground Zero By...
Rhetorical Analysis September 11th, 2001 left a huge impact on people s lives all over the
country. Michael Burke, a wall street journalist, discusses 9/11 in the article, No Firemen at
Ground Zero This 9/11? . He expresses the bravery the first responders showed on the tragedy of 9
/11. On the 10th anniversary, the firemen were not invited to ground zero to watch the remembrance
ceremony. The committee that puts on the ceremony sent invitations to politicians, but not the
firefighters who put their lives on the line to save others. They were told they could watch on TV
instead. Burke is trying to show the businessmen of New York about how wrong not inviting the
first responders was, he does this with his descriptive narrative and organizational structure.
Imagery, initially, supports Burke s use of narrative in his piece. Burke forces the audienceto
picture the traumatic events that occurred that day and how they felt watching it unfold. Burke
uses descriptive words and phrases such as: bodies charred, bodies rained down, and they
exploded (4). These words help emphasize the horrible scene that was happening right in front of
their eyes. Citizens watched as workers jump out of the towers, choosing to commit suicide instead
of being crushed by falling the debris. These short phrases brings them to the images of bodies,
dead and destroyed, laying on the street. Additionally, he uses short one sentencelines to show what
the first responders sacrificed on 9/11.

Community Of Practice Essay
The main difference between Labov s Speech Community and Ekert s Community of Practice is
that the Community of Practice is defined by more than the linguistics codes that are being used. It
is focused on the concept of doing valuable actions that will embrace the community. In order to be
part of a Community of Practice , one should have more than a choice of a language; all
characteristics of involvement in a group are of an importance. In addition, Community of Practice
is focused on the individual and the distinctive views of the different members of the community,
while the Speech Community emphasizes more on the configurations that are being created.

Describe the 3 types of membership within a CoP (Wenger, 1998) giving one example of each
from your own personal experience. The three types of membership within a Community of
Practice are full participation, peripheral participation and marginal participation. A full
participant is the one that participates in the practices of the community. For example, when a
participant is part of a group project in college, and does all the assignments, attends the
meetings and collaborates well with the other participants, this student is a full participant in his
/her community. A peripheral participation has only partial participation in the process. This
sometimes can be seen as a process of learning. For example, when a person is in a process of
learning how to swim, he first watches how it is done and then tries to do it. Thus, he becomes
partial participant. The marginal participation differs from the peripheral participation by the
access in the community. The marginal participant is somewhat sidelined from the process. For
example, when a group of friends are planning to go out to a club, only the ones that have 21 can
go, due to the restrictions of age. The ones that are under 21 are marginalized from

Heroes Every Child Should Know Perseus And The Miser
The Greek fables that were written in the past still inspire us today. Well lets just say that their
are a lot of lessons inside of these fables and myths that can inspire people today and people can
learn a lot of lessons from it. For example, in some fables the greeks teach a lesson about
appreciating and cherishing what one has before it is won t have them and when they are gone you
will want to have them back again. Some fablesthat support this claim is The Hen and The
Golden Eggs , Heroes Every Child Should Know Perseus and The Miser . These are some fables
that can teach people to appreciate and cherish things before they are gone and some myths that
show that how to use things appropriatly and to use things usefully.

The fable is Heroes Every Child Should Know Perseus this fable had the people cherish their
things and use them appropriately like Perseus. Perseus had to go on a quest to defeat an evil
enemy named MEDUSA she was a very ugly lady who had lots of fangs on her head and Perseus
had to cut her head off. He was nervous about it but he accepted the task so he was given lots of
equipment to help him like a sword that can cut off medusa s head and some sandals that could
make him fly all the way to Medusa. When he was fighting Medusa he remembered everything that
he had and the advice he got so that in the end he had cut off Medusa s head and had survived this
very frightening mission. In this myth Perseus used his things appripriatly and use them usefully,
unlike the other fables that had people disrespecting their things.
In conclusion the ancient greek myths and fables still inspire and teach lessons to people today
by showing us some consequences the fables and myths had. Some bad consequences were like
in The Miser and The Hen and The Golden Eggs when they lost their chance to have something
good but did not because they did not make the right choice. Some good choices that happened is
in Perseus because in that story he was thinking and used his resources wisely and in the end he
had accomplished his mission. So to wrap it up the lesson is to appreciate and cherish things

Divine Law And Civil Law In SophoclesAntigone
Antigone, daughter and sister of Oedipus, believes to live a fated life. When her brother
Polyneices is denied a burial by the King of Thebes, Creon, Antigone gets in trouble for following
the laws of the gods. Her choices get her sent away and eventually lead to her death. In Sophocles
play, Antigone, the characters show clashes between divine law and civil law, with the divine law
having a bigger impact in the play.
Characters who follow civil law tend to be afraid of punishment by the government leaders. As
Ismene states, You just said the new law forbids it. (SophoclesPro.32), she wants to avoid any type
of negative encounter with Creon or the government. She does not want herself, or Antigone, to get
in trouble. This was Ismene s way of showing her belief in civil law. By her fearing the
punishment she may face if she breaks the laws, she chooses not to do what is right by the gods.
In her denial of divine law, she believes that it is Polyneices fault that he is forbidden a burial. In
her opinion, Polyneices chose to become a traitor to the city of Thebes, therefore Ismene will not
put her own freedom in jeopardy over his mistakes. Those who follow civil law have a greater
respect and appreciation for civil leaders and local governments than the gods. Creon, being a
leader, would rather have all his citizens follow the laws he puts in place in order to create a less
rebellious society. If the people of Thebes all a bigger faith in divine law, the city would fall to

Geox Case Study Essay
Case Study #1 Geox
The Geox Company is a great example of how an idea can become reality. In order for the idea of
the company s founder and CEO Mario Moretti Polegato used various concepts to create the
products that led to the Geox Company to become what it is today. Polegato had developed the
idea of breathable shoes while at a wine trade show in Nevada. (Farhoomand, 2010) Polegato s feet
were uncomfortable in an old pair of sneakers so he proceeded to make a hole in each of sole of the
shoe. This resulted in relief from his discomfort.
Polegato came up with the idea of a shoe that breaths which led to the development of the Geox
technology and brand. The technology behind Geox is a membrane which allows for their shoes to

What Is The Reflection Of The Movie Shottas
For this assignment, I decided to reflect on the film Shottas . The film begins in the streets of
Kingston, Jamaica home of Biggs and Wayne, the two main characters. They lived within a very
dangerous and violent town, which drove them into their own violent lifestyle. As young men, how
the movie starts off, they rob the local drug dealers of a gun for a premeditated robbery. The money
allowed for them to purchase visas to come to Miami, Florida. While in the United States, as
adults, the two continue their criminal activities leading them to be deported back to their home in
Jamaica. Mad Max and Wayne, who was deported years before Biggs made his return, had already

Analysis
When it comes to extortion, in my opinion, there are different levels when it comes to classifying it
as an organized crime. As young men, the boys decided to rob and shoot a delivery truck driver, in
order, to rob him of his earnings. They commited a robbery, however, it modded them into become
disciplined organized criminals and extortionist. I call this a minor because of the money they
robbed the driver of was nothing compared to the amounts of money they were extorting from the
upperworld and underworld people of power. Their behavior reflects the behaviors they have seen
first hand within their communities. The young children within the community are exposed first
hand to the violence of the local gangs and crimes. At this time, I believe, the issue was with the
Jamaican systems, as in educational and law enforcement. Along with the issue of the communities
lack of attention towards their new generations, is the issue of corruption. Aside from law
enforcement being able to keep up with the criminal activity, and being able to stop it, is the
political officials being corrupted. The film reflects on how the political world sometimes becomes
involved in the organized crime world. Reflecting on a reading we did this semester, when the
upperworld connects itself with organized criminals, it does not mean the official themself are
involved in crimes themselves. However, it allows for the organized crime to succeed and become
a thriving

Jane Eyre Imperialism
Charlotte Bronte s novel, Jane Eyre, takes its reader on a journey of a young woman finding her
independence both economically and emotionally. In addition, the elaborate descriptions of the
character herself and the multiple allusions to lands overseas indicates this is a point in history in
which the British Empire was at its peak. As a result, there is a relationship between the noveland
the empire in that it illustrates the domestic issues women faced, fortifies common beliefs
Europeans had on natives of other countries and recognizes the influence the British Empire had
overseas.
Situated in the Victorian era, wealth determined one s status in society. Bronte tests this social norm
by creating Jane Eyre: a girl whose position is ambiguous ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Jane at one point imagines herself sacrificing her current status to one of a much lower social

repulses her; she claims she cannot purchase the liberty at the price of caste. These allusions to
caste and slavery delineate the disagreeing opinions the Empire had on impoverished individuals.
Moreover, these references made by Bronte indicate her knowledge of the power of the British
Empire. Said, author of Narrative and Social space, claims that novel and imperialism cannot exist
as individual entities. In fact, they each fortified each other to such a degree that it is

The Diet Coke And Mentos Experiment
An experiment that was made around the 1980s, but came back with a sensational hit in 2005

experiment that will make people run from being hit. A sticky, sweet soda geyser all made from
Diet Coke and Mentos. The Diet Coke and Mentos experiment has been around for awhile and
many people have started to question how this experiment works. A process called nucleation has
a big role. Nucleation is when a gas in the Diet Coke called carbon dioxideclings to the Mentos.

An experiment done with crushed Mentos proved this in 2012 (Buddies). The reason why it does

don t form quick enough to rise up, as it would with dropping Mentos in fast. The reason why
Mentos with their surface rubbed off would not work is because the Mentos provide the rough

Preparing A Rapport Building Essay
Preparing for Rapport Building
Building rapport could prove difficult for me because my knowledge indicates that a car
negotiation is a transaction mainly about price. We do not have a repeat salesperson or dealership
in my family. Instead we go to the dealership that can acquire or currently stocks the specific
model desired. However, most purchases from the dealerships business are located within an hour
from our home and tend to be customer centric. To try and develop rapport, I will ask opened ended
questions such as how long has one worked for the company, what vehicles do most college
graduates purchase, and a hobby outside of work. These questions will uncover common interests
that could be leveraged throughout the negotiation. Other relationship building ideas might be to
mention the decorative or personal item on display at one s desk.
Developing Your Objective Standards to Defend Your Proposals To convey a strong proposal in the
live negotiation, I intend to spend a minimum of 10 hours researching different vehicles that meet
my qualifications. I will utilize: Autotrader.com, Cars.com, Edmunds.com, Kelly Blue Book and
Consumer Reports in addition to Google searches for testimonies and other articles. Practice is the
second phase for the negotiation preparation. The idea here is simple, practice reduces nerves.
Ideally, I will go through the negotiation process twice with family members and friends
encouraging them to use hardball tactics. I want them to be

Atalanta s Heroic Characteristics
A hero and a friend are very similar and both will support you. Friends are one who cares and
thinks about you. A hero also someone who cares about others and someone who thinks about
those they serve. A hero is not based on raw power or their Intelligence, but rather on the qualities
they possess. The actual definition of a herois a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic
qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal. A hero is someone
like Atalanta was a true hero who saved the lives of others and helped the common cause of
mankind by their example. She helped support a new way of life for humans, she saved the life of
many others from killing the wild boar, and still gave everyone a chance even when she did not
want to. As for Atlanta s beginning she was born from who we know not,but then she was
abandoned for being a girl instead of a boy. Atalanta then was raised by animals and then taken in by
hunters and taught how to hunt. Atalanta could out hunt any man and could practically best any
human or nonhuman alive. One instance Atalanta was alone and two Centaurs saw her and pursued
her, but unlike any other women she stood her ground and killed the two monsters without any
struggle. At that time many humans were slaves and women did absolutely nothing. The entire
system was racist and sexist. Atalanta was the myth that changed or was an example for change.

through Wired Equivalent Privacy protocol
Introduction:
Wireless networks are less secure when compared to wired networks. Wired networks such as
Ethernet are physically connected, where as in wireless networks are connected through wireless
radio waves without physical connection between them. As a result, a security breach is easier
in wireless networks when compared to wired networks. In the current world, electronic gadgets
like cell phones, ipads and laptops are interconnected with other devices. In wireless device, a
network radio receiver is able to hear the conversations on a wireless channel as per its range.
Therefore it is easier to breach the conversations that are occurring in wireless networks. The data
that is transferred on the internet should be reliable and secure because it might contain personal
data information like bank login details or insurance details etc. To prevent the issues that are
happening over the network, there are different algorithms used in day to day life by software
engineers while designing the network. Among them Wired Equivalent privacyalgorithm is most
important one. The main purpose of this algorithm is to produce integrity, reliability and security to
data that is transferred on a wireless network. The thesis that I am writing is used for software

  • 3. The Signs Of Mania And Depression Just being aware of the signs of mania and depression can significantly help a loved one who suffers from bipolar. Knowing what to do in these situations is key, and being supportive goes a long way. In violent situations, the bipolar individual might need to be medicated or sedated. Jamison speaks frankly about violent outbursts she s had throughout her life and within her relationships. Both my manias and depressions had violent sides to them. Violence, especially if you re a woman, is not something spoken about with ease. Being wildly out of control physically assaultive, screaming insanely at the top of ones lungs, running frenetically with no purpose or limit, or impulsively trying to leap from cars is frightening to others and unspeakably terrifying to oneself. In blind manic rages I have done all of these things, at one time or another, and some of them repeatedly; I remain acutely aware of how difficult it is to control or understand such behaviors, much less explain them to others. (Jamison 120). A popular show currently on television that depicts a realistic and accurate account of bipolar disorder is Homeland. The award winning Showtime cable TV series starring Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a CIA agent with bipolar disorder, tells a spellbinding story of espionage and counterterrorism in the middle and Far East, but also accurately depicts mental illness as it occurs in real life. // Her character portrays volatility and unpredictability that often ... • 4. Example Of Pragmatic Equivalence Over decades, the concern of translators and scholars of language use have transformed piecemeal from the language itself to its intended meanings to solve the problems of misunderstanding and ambiguity. Pragmatic Equivalence is one of the prominent studies, which contributes to deal with this matter. Pragmaticsitself is an independent branch of language studies which studies the use of language in human communication as determined by the conditions of society. (Mey, 2001, p.6) However, equivalence means to give a similar impact from the source text on the target reader. Accordingly, the Pragmatic Equivalence studies seek to translate what the source writer or speaker really means in particular situations, and according to special conditions,... Unlike the politeness principle (PP), which has been known to have some reservations about human communicational speeches, Grice has claimed that we need the CP to help to account (to).. the relation between sense and force; and this kind of explanation is particularly welcome where it solves. (Leech, 1983, P.80) In 1975, Grice has firstly suggested the concept of the CP in his article Logic and Conversation ; in which the roles of the speakers and listeners are determined to have effective communications, and later on that will help translators in conveying the message of the author to the readers. The principle can be divided into these next four maxims: (i)Maxim of quality: a type of maxims, in which the speaker expects the hearer to be explicit and real. For example; when the speaker is making a cake , and he needs to add some sugar as one of its ingredients, then the listener is expected to handle the speaker the sugar box; not the salt nor pepper ones. • 5. Privatization of Social Services Essay The Benefits of Privatization of Social Services Contracting out is the process through which public organizations contract with private sector organizations to provide services normally provided by public agencies. It is a form of privatization, which is defined as any shift of activity or functions from the state to the private sector, more specifically, the shift of production of goods or servicesfrom public to private. (Starr, 5) Privatization reduces the role of government and increases the role of private sector agencies. However, public agencies maintain ultimate control over the provision of services and they control government funding. In an effort to reduce costs, enhance efficiency or improve services, many states ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Like most public agencies, DPSS operates under the elite model of organizational structure. This structure dictates that formal rules and process are followed in order to reach the organization s goals. Therefore, in order to effectively contract out and maintain and effective organization, management must engage in the practice of well known management principles (POSDCORB). Practicing the principles of planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting, and budgeting, management can make sound decisions about the implementation and management of contracts. The effectiveness and efficiency in which the agency is run and the manner in which the contract is managed is grounded in the effective practice of these principles. In this research paper I will discuss the process of contracting out, issues of cost, credibility, accountability, and quality and quantity of services. My discussion will also include reasons for contracting out, opposition, and advantages and problems of contracting out. REASONS FOR CONTRACTING OUT Research indicates that there are several valid reasons for contracting out: To obtain special skills or supplemental staff. To meet demands beyond current government capacity. To improve service quality. To provide clients with more choice of providers and levels of service. (Nightingale ... • 6. The War Plan For South Korea North and South Korea, which have technically been at war for the last 65 years, are again acting like it. (npr.org) They ve always been fighting each other, and this is another one of their battles. It all started when there was an explosive from landmines in the DMZ, which is the sort of de facto border that separates North and South Korea, which injured two South Korean soldiers that the South has blamed on North Koreabut, of course, North Korea has not apologized for. (npr.org) That angered South Korea which lead them to start anti North propaganda broadcasting through loudspeakers. Consequently, both sides have been arguing at the DMZ. Then, everything was settled when both sides made an agreement; however, no one really knows what Kim Jong Un will do. As a result, the United Statesare hesitant, so the top U.S. commanders reviewed the U.S. war plan for defending South Korea in case there was a sudden indication that North Korea was going to begin a war. (cnn.com) They are on the watch for movement for activation of air defences and artilleries. Currently, South Korea is low on missionary materials to fight North Korea, so South Korea is going to need the U.S. s help. North Korea has half a million more armed forces, 10,000 more artillery pieces, a thousand more tanks, and etc. This can be very dangerous for South Korea if North attacks. It can also be dangerous if U.S. helps South Korea meaning North Korea can attack U.S. Immigration has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Importance Of Search For Waldo s Life So, where is Waldo? Yes, Waldo: the funny looking fellow in the red and white striped sweater, identically patterned hat, black glasses, and blue jeans who has been evading the eyes of children and adults since 1987. Ever since its publication 31 years ago, Waldo, with his ardent affinity for backpacking and time travel, explores majestic castles and ruins, on a journey not yet named nor realized. Once someone begins to go through the many pages of sublime color and intricate detail, it is almost impossible to stop. At first, we want to find Waldo for the sake of entertainment, simply flipping through pages leaving some of the oddities of the two page worldndiscovered. But before long, we come to find that search for him is important, resulting... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Immersed in a huge crowd of people, we are expected to find Waldo, just like in our real lives we happen to be crowded by people, money, school, and work. But what matters most in life is worth searching in the chaos. Always placed in scenes of a chaotic nature, Waldo s adventures represent our own lives. Much like looking for Waldo in a book, to find what we actually desire, we must ignore the chaos happening around us and focus on what we really care and are passionate about. Our own individual journeys can be seen to carry much similarity with our desire to uncover Waldo. Much like how we strive for purpose, have many goals, and after attaining these goals, we lose purpose, and must strive new feats to strive for. It make take a paltry seconds to discover the red and white sly guy, or an entire lifetime. We may be searching for love, the perfect career, fortune, justice, or fame. Whatever our endeavors may be, we shall look for Waldo. Though, there will be times where we see apexes and nadirs, times we find him with celerity, or moments where we simply fail to find him and must turn the page. But when we find Waldo, we turn the pages of life after a certain personal milestone, ending that scene and it contents, whether they are like fairy tales and sandy bazaars. We must go on to another chapter, onto another two fold spread to search for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Coffee rust disease is the greatest threat to the coffee... Coffee rust disease is the greatest threat to the coffee industry worldwide and has the potential to improve or hurt Brazil s economy while having a significant impact on the United States. Coffee is second only to petroleum for exports in developing countries. Over 500 billion cups of coffee are consumed globally each year. The worldwide coffeesupply comes primarily from Central and South America accounting for 67 percent of production (Goldschein, 2011). Coffee rust disease is a wind borne fungus that spreads quickly. Once infected, crop yields are significantly reduced (Arneson, 2000). As the coffee industry in Brazil grew so did the infrastructure of the country. By the 1900 s coffee made up 70 percent of exports from Brazil. The increased productivity led to an excess in the market that coupled with diminished demand caused a Brazilian depression and created discontent with the current political system that led to dictatorship control (E, 2008) (The Library of Congress, 2010). With the emergence of a more democratic political system and deregulation other crops developed as important exports. This was further encouraged by the government due to a need to have a more diversified economy (The Library of Congress, 2010). Even with shifting production to other crops Brazil remains an important part of the world s coffee supply as shown in figure 1. Figure 1 Worldwide Coffee Exports November 2013 (Statista, 2014) The coffee grown in Vietnam is Robusta leaving Brazil and Columbia as the two largest sources of Arabica. Brazil has the largest market share of all coffee production and the largest share of Arabica production. Arabica coffee plants are more susceptible to coffee rust disease (International Coffee Organization). In 1869 an outbreak occurred in Ceylon, present day Sri Lanka. • 9. Emily Grierson From A Rose For A Rose For Emily Judith Fetterley argued in her critical essay that Emily Grierson from a Rose for A Rose for Emily was empowered and victimized by her gender and class. However the girl from Boys and Girls and Gertrude from Hamlet had not been as lucky as Miss Emily. In a Rose for A Rose for Emily Emily Grierson was the daughter of Mr. Grierson, who was a respected man in Jefferson. After his death Miss Emily still conserved her title of a lady even if all the town folks knew that she didn t have money left. Miss Emily took advantage of the fact that she was a lady to not pay the tax to the new town leaders by saying that she was exempted of taxes by the previous mayor of the town. She knew that the town people would not bother to ask her to pay the taxes that she legally had to pay as her father was dead and they were concerned about Miss Emily s mental health, but it was mostly because Emily Grierson was a lady and it would be considered disrespectful to force a womanof this status to settle her debt. Moreover, the town folks were complaining about a powerful odor emanating from her house. The Judge Stevens present at that time estimated that it was very inconvenient to mention to a woman of this rank that her house smells bad. So he decided that a few men from town would sneak in Miss Emily s house to spread lime around the Griersons property. Even this time the town people could not confront Miss Emily for her acts. Harvey cannot believe the situation and wants to address her salary, which he feels is inappropriate, but has not considered his contributions, or lack of contributions, that has led to this outcome (Cohen Fink, 2001). A Bloated Salary and an Oblivious Leader Cathy has been making a significant amount for some time, refer to Table 1. There have been significant raises each year and should have been caught by Harvey or the comptroller long before her 7 year anniversary. Why was there a lack of due diligence that allowed this to not be noticed more promptly? Why were no complaints brought forward by other employees? Is this an isolated case or other employees making significant salaries as well? Cathy is making significantly more than Harvey s best salespersons and managers, almost as much as Harvey and extremely higher than any receptionist s salary (Cohen Fink, 2001). Compare The Structure Of Prokaryotic And Eukaryotic Cells Vicki Millard Unit 10193 Introduction to Cell Biology 1.Compare the structures of Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells There are two different types of cells; prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Both cells have differences, including the shape and size of the cell. Prokaryote cells are found in bacteria such as E coli, Streptococcus and Staphylococcus, whilst eukaryote cells are found in plants, animals and fungi. Eukaryotic cells have many components which lead to the cell having a much more complex structure and are larger in size, measuring between 10 and 100 micrometres in diameter. Prokaryotic cells, on the other hand, are much smaller, measuring between 0.2 and 2 micrometres and having a much simpler structure. The two cells share similarities such as; containing DNA, ribosomes and cytoplasms. According to Bassett, The ribosomes are told, what kind of protein to make and when to make it via the direction of the DNA. [Bassett. Dawsonera.com. P. 83. 2005.] DNA in a prokaryotic cell is described to be a single circular chromosome, whereas the eukaryotic cell has multiple linear chromosomes. I felt out of place in scripture class freshman year because I knew close to nothing about Catholicism and about who God is. Up until my time at Brophy, I did not even really consider religion to be a part of my life. I rarely thought about Godand the only times I did were times that were selfish and when I thought I needed help. Like before a big game I would ask him to help me get a hit, or crossing my fingers when it was the final play of a game and hoping God would help. Looking back that s because I did not truly know who God is, and I m not saying I do now, but I for sure have a greater understanding through my experience and research. In chapter two I explored who God is and was able to find a good connection of who God is through the words of Reverend Doctor William Barry. Barry brings up the idea of how God and is like our parents in a way how they provide us with comfort and are always there when we need them. This I agree with because I believe that the best way that I have encountered God through my time at Brophy has been through the actions with others, not only my parents, but I have been reinforced that God can be found in simple ways. In my first experience with getting my dog Harper I talked about how that was one of the only strong evidences that I have of God working in my life. And this is most likely because I feel that God was acting as a parent to me ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, for species living in environmental extremes, they have little opportunity to regulate the climate warming changes to their physical environment and must display plasticity in their key behaviors to cope with the changes. Polar bears face the dilemma of remaining with ice that has retreated past biologically productive shallow waters or to move away from the retreating sea ice to the shore which can lead to inadequate resources and exposure to risk factors. In the poem Bottled , Helene Johnson writes a narrative about someone experiencing the Harlem Renaissance. Helene Johnson, a poet during the Harlem Renaissance, appears to have wrote Bottled as an example of African Americans realizing their heritage and being proud of where they originated. The poem Bottled does tell a story of one seeking their heritage by observing someone letting loose and embracing their own origins by dancing on the streets of Harlem. Though at first the narrator seems confused, later he or she discovers the true meaning of this person s action. The title Bottled itself seems to refer to the roots of many African Americans that were hidden and could not be expressed. Through Helene Johnson s choice of diction and target audience, the poem Bottled has a meaning of heritage and finding one s roots. When reading Bottled , there is no hard vocabulary nor slang that makes it difficult to read; however, there is a lively language that carries out through the poem. In lines 5 6, the narrator explains, Just like the kids make pies/ Out of down at the beach to describe the bottle of sand in the library. This comparison seems to be childish because the narrator is relating it to an activity done by children, yet, it makes it easier to visualize. • 19. Knighthood And Chivalry In The Tales Of Marie De France The tales of Marie de France, shed light on the romantic relationships and chivalry of this time period. This is very insightful for modern people to be able to read and understand the culture of that time. Knighthood and chivalry were respected by some, but many times they were disregarded for passion. Love and marriageare largely connected to physical attractiveness of the person and the passion involved. Marriage is not a very serious commitment and will be disregarded whenever another presents themselves as a more attractive lover. Religion is not huge in the stories but can be present when looking for a lover. Magic plays a part in the Yonec and Bisclavret stories, but is not largely present throughout. In the tale of Equitan, the nature of knighthood and chivalry is shown through the relationship of Equitan and his knight. Although Equitan had said that he was a man who upheld chivalry, throughout the story he lusts, lies, and takes his knight s wife for his own. He begs her and claims being sick until she is willing to be his, and this does not shed a positive light on his chivalry and king s honor. In Milun, honor has a big place in the story. For example, Milun must go to the other country to fight the one knight who claims to be better than him to defend his honor. Although when he realizes he has been beat by him he shows respect for him because he has truly been beat. His son also shows respect when he sees his gray hair and recognizes that he had hurt an older man. This shows the good side of chivalry where the knights respected each other and good duels. The stories show that marriage and love is not regarded highly, Equitan steamrolls through his knight s trust by taking his wife and scheming to kill him. Love is presented as the desire for someone because of their looks. In the tale of Bisclavret, his wife s love and marriage is secondary to is thinking that it is weird that her husband turns into a wolf. She does not really love him or care for their marriage. She then uses a knight of her husband s to scheme to kill him by taking his clothes. This shows how easy it was in that time for people to find others who desire them and are willing to turn on the people their king. In the tale of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In this scenario, supply and demand work in the same manner as any other business. Because the workers have rights, these people can feel they are part of society and there would be a decline on the social problems it creates such as homelessness and drug addiction. The reaction to homelessness regarding the homeless is a social problem in itself. Some of the myths that the narrator in Cathedral holds are, This blind man, feature this, he was wearing a full beard! A beard on a blind man! Too much to say (Cite). Much to contrary belief, blind people s hair still grows the same as anyone else s hair as long as they don t have any other disease that would interfere with hair growth. Another myth that our narrator thinks is when he says, But he didn t use a cane and he didn t wear dark glasses. I d always thought dark glasses were a must for the blind (Cite). The reality is, not all blind people carry a cane or wear dark glasses. However, there are many reasons why most blind people choose to. Blind people, just like any other person needs to protect their eyes from UV sun rays, and because they are blind they cannot tell where they are looking at the sun or not, therefore the sunglasses help in this way. Another reason a blind person might wear sunglasses is for aesthetic reasons, as was read in the story the narrator wished that Robert would wear the dark sunglasses, he says: Fact was. I wished he had a pair. At first glance, his eyes looked like anyone else s eyes. But if you looked close, there was something different about them. Too much white in the iris, for one thing, and the pupils seemed to move around in the sockets without his knowing it or being able to stop it (Cite). Answer 1: The Rehn Meidner model was developed by the Swedish trade union confederation (Landsorganisitionen i Sverige) economists GГ¶sta Rehn and Rudolf Meidner and presented during a LO congress in 1951. It is based on an active labor market policy, a solidarity wage policy and a restrictive macroeconomic policy which combined should lead to a full employment, fair wages, price stability and a high economic growth (Erixon, 2010: 677). Because of its EU membership Sweden now shares the responsibility for the safety of the EU countries as it signed the solidarity clause and so losing military autonomy (Eur lex.europa.eu, 2015). In the hindsight of the current problematic situation in Europe it is possible Sweden has to react in order of solidarity and alliance. Often Sweden s foreign policy is described as non alignment as they are not a member of the NATO or other treaties but as seen before its EU membership can be seen as an alliance. Even though the self image of Sweden is still dominated by the history of neutrality a public debate of a NATO membership rose in the 2000s and had strong supporters. Payments are made on a net 60 basis, which means you will recieve your money 60 days after asking for it. I don t think you should be under any illusion, you will never be paid. Well known PTC sites that have been around for a few years rarely offer ads to watch even at $1. So $2 a click is not possible, don t be taken in by the hype. How do Two Dollar Click make money? To fund the click payments they provide advertising. For an ad to be watched or clicked 1000 times it only costs $5 or 1/2 a cent per click. You can order up to 25000 clicks, always for the same price of 1/2 cent per click. Premium members can also buy banner ads. • 33. Home Rule As A Force Of Unity And Division Of Irish... Discuss Home Rule as a force of unity and division in Irish political life during the period 1886 to 1921. The home rule question played a prominent part in Irish history for over 40 years. Home Rule, the ideology that a country under a colony would rule itself from home, caused bitter political and social divisions throughout Ireland. Whilst the division between nationalists and unionist became rife, Home Rule unified many that were willing to fight for Ireland s cause. In Ulster there was a sectarian rivalry between Protestants and Catholics. The secret ballot act of 1872 and the Reform act of 1884 reduced the political power of protestant and they felt threatened. From 1885 to 1886, Home Rule became a greater possibility for Ireland, unionists and Protestants became more restless and agitated. Divisions emerged in politics and in 1885 the Irish Loyal and Patriotic Union were set up to fight Home Rule. After the general election of 1885 divisions were further polarised between unionists and nationalists. The electorate was divided into the Home Rulers and the unionists. The Orange Order was revived and it unified Protestants of all classes against Home Rule. Many Protestants became a member of the Ulster Loyalist and Anti Repeal Union which was established in 1886. The Conservative Party in Britain established an alliance with unionist. This unification was set up to protect the interests of the British Empire. I loved each of them in their own way, but somehow always found Lennon songs came to mind more readily. Imagine was far and away his best album, the title track covered so often now that almost every artist you can name has sung it at least once , but this most iconic of albums was perhaps not exactly what it appeared to be. It was, without question, a truly gigantic success commercially, both when first released, and on the re release following his sudden death at the hands of a deranged individual Mark David Chapman on December 8th 1980, in front of his home but it was not the album that those who had expected a return to pop music had envisaged. • 40. Science Vs Religion Distinguishing science from non science or religion is generally an easy matter, as the two rarely seem to make claims to be scientific. When they do make claims of being scientific, this becomes known as pseudoscience. Even so, it is useful to recognize the distinctions, as science doesn t always clearly do so. For the boundary between scienceand religion, a majority of the cases can be separated well through the verificationistic view. While empirical matters are primarily dealt with science, spiritual matters are primarily dealt with religion because they cannot be objectively and empirically observed. When distinguishing science from non science, it s easiest to start by defining the fundamentals that make up what science is, and then define all of the fields that fall outside this definition as non science. At it core, science is a system of acquiring knowledge about the physical world through objective experimentation and observation. Therefore, fields that do not involve the acquisition of knowledge, such as art and business, can be classified as being non science. Given the competitive nature both domestically and internationally, every avenue for increased market share must be explored. On the 10th anniversary, the firemen were not invited to ground zero to watch the remembrance ceremony. The committee that puts on the ceremony sent invitations to politicians, but not the firefighters who put their lives on the line to save others. They were told they could watch on TV instead. Burke is trying to show the businessmen of New York about how wrong not inviting the first responders was, he does this with his descriptive narrative and organizational structure. Imagery, initially, supports Burke s use of narrative in his piece. Burke forces the audienceto picture the traumatic events that occurred that day and how they felt watching it unfold. Burke uses descriptive words and phrases such as: bodies charred, bodies rained down, and they exploded (4). These words help emphasize the horrible scene that was happening right in front of their eyes. Citizens watched as workers jump out of the towers, choosing to commit suicide instead of being crushed by falling the debris. Analysis When it comes to extortion, in my opinion, there are different levels when it comes to classifying it as an organized crime. As young men, the boys decided to rob and shoot a delivery truck driver, in order, to rob him of his earnings. They commited a robbery, however, it modded them into become disciplined organized criminals and extortionist. I call this a minor because of the money they robbed the driver of was nothing compared to the amounts of money they were extorting from the upperworld and underworld people of power. Their behavior reflects the behaviors they have seen first hand within their communities. The young children within the community are exposed first hand to the violence of the local gangs and crimes. At this time, I believe, the issue was with the Jamaican systems, as in educational and law enforcement. Along with the issue of the communities lack of attention towards their new generations, is the issue of corruption. Aside from law enforcement being able to keep up with the criminal activity, and being able to stop it, is the political officials being corrupted. The film reflects on how the political world sometimes becomes involved in the organized crime world. Reflecting on a reading we did this semester, when the upperworld connects itself with organized criminals, it does not mean the official themself are involved in crimes themselves. However, it allows for the organized crime to succeed and become a thriving ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 51. Jane Eyre Imperialism Charlotte Bronte s novel, Jane Eyre, takes its reader on a journey of a young woman finding her independence both economically and emotionally. In addition, the elaborate descriptions of the character herself and the multiple allusions to lands overseas indicates this is a point in history in which the British Empire was at its peak. As a result, there is a relationship between the noveland the empire in that it illustrates the domestic issues women faced, fortifies common beliefs Europeans had on natives of other countries and recognizes the influence the British Empire had overseas. Situated in the Victorian era, wealth determined one s status in society. Bronte tests this social norm by creating Jane Eyre: a girl whose position is ambiguous ... Jane at one point imagines herself sacrificing her current status to one of a much lower social hierarchy with the exception that she is surrounded by love from a mother and father. Although it would grant her the maternal or familial love she most desires from the Reeds, this state of living repulses her; she claims she cannot purchase the liberty at the price of caste. These allusions to caste and slavery delineate the disagreeing opinions the Empire had on impoverished individuals. Moreover, these references made by Bronte indicate her knowledge of the power of the British Empire. Said, author of Narrative and Social space, claims that novel and imperialism cannot exist as individual entities. • 52. The Diet Coke And Mentos Experiment An experiment that was made around the 1980s, but came back with a sensational hit in 2005 (Spangler). It s all across the internet and all across America in science classrooms. An experiment that will make people run from being hit. A sticky, sweet soda geyser all made from Diet Coke and Mentos. The Diet Coke and Mentos experiment has been around for awhile and many people have started to question how this experiment works. A process called nucleation has a big role. Nucleation is when a gas in the Diet Coke called carbon dioxideclings to the Mentos. The little bubbles that form in the soda are from the carbon dioxide (Hiskey). The carbon dioxide is already pumped into the bottles at high pressures in the factories, so the carbon dioxide... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Less dense Mentos drop slower which would be the same as putting in Mentos at a slow pace. An experiment done with crushed Mentos proved this in 2012 (Buddies). The reason why it does not produce a high geyser or help with the experiment is how quick the reaction acts. The bubbles don t form quick enough to rise up, as it would with dropping Mentos in fast. The reason why Mentos with their surface rubbed off would not work is because the Mentos provide the rough surface to help break the bonds more easily ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 53. Preparing A Rapport Building Essay Preparing for Rapport Building Building rapport could prove difficult for me because my knowledge indicates that a car negotiation is a transaction mainly about price. We do not have a repeat salesperson or dealership in my family. Instead we go to the dealership that can acquire or currently stocks the specific model desired. However, most purchases from the dealerships business are located within an hour from our home and tend to be customer centric. To try and develop rapport, I will ask opened ended questions such as how long has one worked for the company, what vehicles do most college graduates purchase, and a hobby outside of work. These questions will uncover common interests that could be leveraged throughout the negotiation. Other relationship building ideas might be to mention the decorative or personal item on display at one s desk. Developing Your Objective Standards to Defend Your Proposals To convey a strong proposal in the live negotiation, I intend to spend a minimum of 10 hours researching different vehicles that meet my qualifications. I will utilize: Autotrader.com, Cars.com, Edmunds.com, Kelly Blue Book and Consumer Reports in addition to Google searches for testimonies and other articles. Practice is the second phase for the negotiation preparation. The idea here is simple, practice reduces nerves. Ideally, I will go through the negotiation process twice with family members and friends encouraging them to use hardball tactics. I want them to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A hero also someone who cares about others and someone who thinks about those they serve. A hero is not based on raw power or their Intelligence, but rather on the qualities they possess. The actual definition of a herois a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal. A hero is someone like Atalanta was a true hero who saved the lives of others and helped the common cause of mankind by their example. She helped support a new way of life for humans, she saved the life of many others from killing the wild boar, and still gave everyone a chance even when she did not want to. As for Atlanta s beginning she was born from who we know not,but then she was abandoned for being a girl instead of a boy. Atalanta then was raised by animals and then taken in by hunters and taught how to hunt. Atalanta could out hunt any man and could practically best any human or nonhuman alive. One instance Atalanta was alone and two Centaurs saw her and pursued her, but unlike any other women she stood her ground and killed the two monsters without any struggle. At that time many humans were slaves and women did absolutely nothing. The entire system was racist and sexist. Atalanta was the myth that changed or was an example for change. Atalanta could outrun any male and she could best him in anything whether it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Sri Harsha MaddineniZ1725592CSCI 630 3 Security Enhancements in IEEE 802.11 Wireless LANs through Wired Equivalent Privacy protocol Introduction: Wireless networks are less secure when compared to wired networks. Wired networks such as Ethernet are physically connected, where as in wireless networks are connected through wireless radio waves without physical connection between them. As a result, a security breach is easier in wireless networks when compared to wired networks. In the current world, electronic gadgets like cell phones, ipads and laptops are interconnected with other devices. In wireless device, a network radio receiver is able to hear the conversations on a wireless channel as per its range. Therefore it is easier to breach the conversations that are occurring in wireless networks. The data that is transferred on the internet should be reliable and secure because it might contain personal data information like bank login details or insurance details etc. To prevent the issues that are happening over the network, there are different algorithms used in day to day life by software engineers while designing the network. Among them Wired Equivalent privacyalgorithm is most important one. The main purpose of this algorithm is to produce integrity, reliability and security to data that is transferred on a wireless network. The thesis that I am writing is used for software engineers who are interested in implementing WEP protocol for their network designs and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They were winning anyway so it wasn t necessary and it destroyed years of infrastructure and put irreplaceable damage to the environment and generations of people born to parents from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The horrific fire raids of Tokyo also killed thousands. Some people think however that it was retaliation for the bombing of pearl harbour and needed to be done to save the war from continuing.
