Should we abolish the Electoral College?
Voting for a president makes us feel like we actually have a part in our government,
but what if that wasn t true. Abolishing the Electoral college is necessary for our
government to be fair. How is it possible that a candidate can win with the majority
of the people disliking him? At the beginning of our government, we strived for
equality, that is why small states were given the same representation as large states.
The difference in populations is colossal. The largest state California with a total
population of 39.25 million (2016) while the smallest state
Wyoming with a population of only 582,658. It is shocking how in the house of
senate they are given the same representation. We should definitely abolish the
Electoral college because it is undemocratic and is not in the best interest of the

The book that I chose for this project is called S. It is a difficult book to write a
report on, almost entirely because of the unique concept and presentation behind it.
It was created by film director J.J. Abrams and written by author Doug Dorst. While
S. is the name of the project, the story is contained in the form of a fictional book
called Ship of Theseus, written by the prolific, incendiary, and ever mysterious author,
V.M. Straka. What makes the story of S. so unique is that while the novel is a
traditional narrative, the margins of the book are filled with scribbles, writings,
notes, clues, musings and revelations from two readers, Jen and Eric. Jen, a college
senior, and Eric, a former grad student and Straka researcher.
Because of the nature of the presentation of this book, the summary will need to be

The Effect of Common Bactericidal Agents on Staphylococcus Epidermidis
Introduction
Staphylococcus epidermidis is a facultative anaerobic bacterium. It is part of the
normal human flora and is found on the skin. Colonies of these bacteria can produce
a protective slime called a hydrophobic biofilm. Staphylococcus epidermidis is
usually not pathogenic unless it enters the human body. One of the most common
places for infections are hospitals where people often have weakened immune
systems, open wounds or medical devices implanted in their bodies. Staphylococcus
epidermidis can be fatal because of the protective biofilm and the bacteria s resistance

The solutions were prepared by first creating a chemical stock solution at the
desired concentration. The first set of stock solutions was prepared with a
concentration of 10% chemical agent per volume. The stock solutions were then
added to a solution containing aqueous staphylococcus epidermidis and the new
solutions were diluted to a plated dilution of 1X10 5. The three solutions were
mechanically mixed using the vortex for approximately 10 seconds. The mixed
solutions were poured onto an agar petri dish and the solutions were distributed
evenly by using glass beads. Once the glass beads were removed the solutions were
incubated for twenty four hours. The bacteria colonies were then counted and data
was collected. The results showed that the strong oxidative solutions did not allow
for the growth of bacterial colonies where the solution containing alcohol allowed for
the growth of 264 colonies. Since there was no growth in either of the petri dishes
containing hydrogen peroxide or bleach, it could not be concluded which, if either,
chemical agent was the superior disinfectant. (See figure 1). In order to determine
which strong oxidative agent was more effective, a second trial was run. The
purpose of this second trial was to find an upper limit on the concentration where the

The narrator s language as pertinent to Claggart demonstrates an ambiguous
perspective of his character. Billy Budd is on the ship known as the Handsome Sailor
. Claggart is also handsome, however, not as handsome as Billy. Claggart s
jealousy of Billy s good looks creates his assumption that Billy s boarding of the
ship is linked to a recent mutiny. Claggart carefully plans his own motives and
intentions and in doing so believes that everyone is motivated by a hidden malice.
Due to Billy Budd s good looks and past history of bringing good fortune to a ship
he once boarded, Claggart believes Billy is behind a recent mutiny. But the form
of Billy Budd was heroic; and if his face was without the intellectual look of the
pallid Claggart s, not the less was it lit, like his, from within, though from a
different source (Melville 12). Billy exemplifies what a protagonist is. The
narrator explains that the form of Billy Budd was heroic meaning that one glance
at Billy showcases a hero. On the other hand, Claggart s pallid face did not
showcase a hero. However, Billy Budd was not without his flaw. Claggart s face had
