Dealing with Deadlines and Staying on Budget

You need to schedule the project so that you and your client understand each other's requirements as well as
expectations.
Ensure you have all the necessary approvals required for the project.
Be prepared to work with various contractors during the project's construction phase.
• While most people tend to believe that they can work well under pressure, this is rarely the
case.
• Over 41% of stressed workers say that stress causes a loss in productivity, and this can be very
detrimental. If you’re working on a project with strict deadlines and a very tight budget,
there’s no escaping the pressure and the stress.
• The best way to deal with this is to stay organized.
• Keep track of the team, keep an eye on the deadlines, and find solutions that will help you
stay within the budget.
• Communicate with your clients clearly if you’re not meeting the deadline or are unable to stay
on budget.
• There are many time and budget tracking apps that can keep you organized and notify you if
you’re approaching the budget.
Architecture project schedule example: how to make sure your don't miss its deadlines
Why is it so important to schedule an architect project? Well, the project schedule helps you and your client
understand each other's requirements and expectations.
If you're not able to do that, the project is likely to miss its deadline and end up costing both of you more than
necessary.
What Are The Stages Of An Architect Project?
There are typically four stages to an architectural project:
1.Planning
2.Design
3.Construction
4.Post-construction.
Design Process: Preparing the architectural drawings
Discussing the project timeline with your client
Estimating the project cost
Managing changes during construction
Preparing all the necessary documents and files
Communication during the project
Understanding Your Client's Requirements
You must understand your client's requirements and ensure your designs meet their standards. It's also important to
consider any special requests or customizations that clients may request.
Ensure that you understand the project scope from the very beginning
HOW DO YOU ENSURE YOU MEET PROJECT DEADLINE AND BUDGET?
1. Know the strengths and weaknesses of your team
2. Document the scope of the project before you start
3. Set goals within realistic timelines
4. Make sure team members understand schedules and deadlines before launch
5. Communicate
6. Know your red flags and watch for them
7. Remember there’s no way every detail of every project can be under your control
