In Judaism, God s word is found in the Hebrew Bible (or Old Testament), written entirely in Hebrew,
except for a few chapters or verses that are in Aramaic, the Semitic language related to Hebrew. This
is the most transled and most read worldwide book. The Bible is divided into: Torah (the five books of
Moses), Nevi im (Prophets) and Ketuvim (writings, Psalms). In rabbinic literature the word Torah it is
common to refer to the entire Bible. The sacred book of Judaism is the Torah, which consists of
several writings. Torah contains a total of 613 commandments, including the 10 that are explained in
the Talmud. Pentateuch (five books) contains the account of way in which God created the world and

About 40 different authors contributed to the writing of the Bible, over approximately 1500 years. The
authors were kings, fishermen, priests, government officials, farmers, shepherds, and doctors. The
unity of the Bible is due to the fact that it has one author, God Himself. The Bible is God breathed (2
Timothy 3:16). Human authors wrote what God wanted them to write, and the result was holy and
perfect Word of God (Psalm 12: 6; 2 Peter 1:21). The Bible is divided into two major parts: the Old
and New Testament. In short, the Old Testament is the history of a people, and the New Testament, the
history of a man. People was the way God brought the Man Jesus Christ in the world. Jesus is the
central figure of the Bible. Indeed, the whole book is about him. Old Testament predicts His coming
and sets the stage for His entrance into the world. The New Testament describes His coming and His
work to bring salvation to our sinful world. After Muhammad was notified by the angel Gabriel in a
revelation that he is the one chosen by the Creator to pass laws and commandments of humanity, he
began collecting all these teachings in a book called the Koran. Koran (Quran) is the Arabic term for
reciting and refers to the revelations of Allah to Muhammad, preserved and considered by Muslims as
Islamic Scriptures. Koran the word of Allah (God) is considered the most valuable literary work in
classical Arabic. It is memorized by millions of Muslims from different parts of the world.

RESIDENCY GRADUATION SPEECH
President and CEO, Members of Boards of Trustees, Hospital administration Officers, DIO, Program
Directors, Faculty, staff, family, friends, colleagues, and fellow graduating residents:
Welcome to the residency graduation ceremony for the class of 2017. I am greatly honored to be given
the opportunity to address my graduating class.
As individuals and as a group, we have worked hard, we toiled, we endured, and we have come out
better, with more passion and more confidence than when we began. We have survived all the
different rotations, shifts, and calls, the sleepless nights and the chaos and adrenaline of the emergency
room duty and the rigorous training examinations. I believe we are all proud to have made it to this
day. In all sincerity, today represents a landmark achievement for each of us and our families. It is to
our loved ones and all those who encouraged us through this long journey from preschool through
residency that we owe our deepest thanks. The encouragement from family, friends, colleagues,
faculty, staff and strangers have played a vital role in our success.
Yes, talking about strangers, this reminds of a 17 year old young man who encouraged me at the

And that we will remember the words of the poet, Maya Angelou that people will forget what you did
but people will not forget how you made them feel. I hope that all these years of training will help us
to think not only like physicians but also like human beings because the practice of Medicine is a
challenging but deeply rewarding art with which we can make positive differences in the lives of our
patients and their loved

A. Suppose a household product label says it contains sodium hydrogen carbonate (sodium
bicarbonate). How would you test this material for the presence of sodium bicarbonate?
a. I would test it with multiple chemicals in separate well plates to see if they react the same way it did
in the primary experiment. For this one I would add regular vinegar to it. It is a household acid.
B. You know what color phenolphthalein and Bromthymol blue turn when testing an acid or a base.
Use the empty pipet in the Auxiliary Supplies Bag to test several (at least 3) household items including
household cleaning products with Bromthymol blue. Rinse the pipet well before using it on the next
household chemical. When finished with this experiment rinse the pipet well and return it to the
Auxiliary Bag for use in future experiments. Name the items tested and record their results. What do
these results mean? Product | Reaction with White paper | Reaction with Black paper | Vinegar + BTB
| Clear | Dark Yellow | Clorox Bleach+ BTB | Turned blue than light green | Dark green | Dish
Soap(yellow) + BTB | Light Green | Dark Green |
C. You found a sample of a solution that has a faint odor resembling vinegar. You are verifying that it
is indeed vinegar and you add a few drops of phenolphthalein.

Information Technology ( It ) Is A Universal And Versatile...
Overview
Information Technology (IT) is a universal and versatile tool. It involves our life in every aspect. For
example, we used smart phone, WhatsApp, FaceTime to contact people, used computer, e mail, video
conferences to work. In fact, I prefer shopping online to going to the mall. If I did not have a GPS, I
would lose my way. In addition, I can order pizza or anything else in the internet. In business, we
cannot without it. We used for information based system, intranet, and paperless system at work. We
need a financial management system to deal with the financial things, and Decision Support System
can help and support the decision and strategy.

In my opinion, information technology has been taking us into the information age. This is a new
period, we also known as the e Age or knowledge economy age. Used for internet, we can connect all
computers in the whole world, the earth turned to the global village. We can pull people s distance

You Write A Guest Post
When you write a guest post, you have more to focus on than just the post itself. In your bio link, you
need to direct the readers from that post to a landing page that will, hopefully, gain their interest and
turn them into a subscriber. This applies to any article or post that you write off your site.
You don t want to send guest post visitors to your homepage because that is simply a waste of your
effort and time. You want to send them to something that converts them into people you can stay in
contact with, and a good landing page is the best way to do that. Following are 6 things that you need
on your landing page to convert that guest post reader into a subscriber.
1. A Simple Layout
Someone who has read your guest post and clicked through to your landing page will not want to meet
a page with a bunch of options, colors, pictures, designs, or anything else. They already took the time
to read your article and they are now just looking for more information about you and what you can
offer them, so give that to them! Don t include sidebars with your latest posts. Instead, keep your
landing page design simple with some text, a picture or video, and an opt in box.
2. Consistency
If someone clicks from a guest post to your blog, they were interested in the tone and message you
sent through your post, so make sure that they land in a place that is consistent with your previous
message.
For instance, if they were on a blog post about why a goal setting software

Public Policy Goals For Ip Voice Services Haven
The future of VOIP could also be formed by a lot of politics. As we ve seen, the various approaches of
the EU and therefore the U.S. haven t made any form of neutral zone during which problems with
VOIP readying will be adjudged solely on their technical deserves. In the U.S., the history of linking
social and economic policies to a network centric read of the globe has caused inevitable confusion as
services become more and more application centric. And up to date steps to accommodate public
policy goals to IP voice services haven t mainly addressed the massive queries of regulative
classification. The implementation of forward looking, technologically neutral classifications in the
European Union has not made the applying of regulatory discretion immune from political support by
dominant carriers. First, through international consultation. Europe and also the U. S. (much less the
remainder of the planet, as well as the nations of Asia that lead the world in broadband deployment)
need not adopt identical rules. They will leave room for experimentation. For example, the approach
to emergency services need not be identical perhaps there is a demand for governmental mandate,
perhaps for voluntary (but ubiquitous) business action, perhaps just for government mandated shopper
notice. At the same time, some main principles like access to markets might most likely need
harmonization, as VOIP services move freely across borders. Second, by understanding the bounds of

Literary Techniques Used in Mother to Son by Langston...
Mother to Son, written by Langston Hughes, is a short poem about a mother who is teaching her son
about perseverance and determination by using the image of a staircase. She explains that even though
life has given her many hardships, she continues forward and she urges her son to do the same. In
Mother to Son, Langston Hughes uses an extended metaphor, imagery, dialect, and structure to paint a
picture of a weary mother who wants her son to persevere through the hardships of life. The theme of
this poem is determination and the value of experience. The mother is telling her son that no matter
what happens, he should never give up. Even though this is a rather sad poem, there is a glimpse of
hope because she never gave up. She never ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A staircase that is broken would not be in a wealthy person s home, so this also shows us that she is
poor. In the 1920 s, which was when this poem was written, many African Americans were moving
from the South into the cities for a chance at making a living. Most of them were very poor and lived
in poverty, which is why the staircases would be broken down, bare, and no carpet. The title, Mother
to Son, tells us that this is a mother giving her son advice. Langston Hughes opens the poem by
saying, Well, son, I ll tell you: (1), which could mean that the son had asked her about her life or that
maybe he was complaining about his current struggles. The mother then begins to tell her son that her
life has not been easy, but she never gives up and she urges her son to do the same: So boy, don t you
turn back. Don t you set down on the step Cause you finds it s kinder hard. Don t you fall now
The mother is telling her son that he should never turn around or sit down just because it gets tough,
and she uses herself as an example. You can see the determination that this mother has. She keeps
trying and persevering through her troubles, even when it seems like there is no hope, And sometimes
goin in the dark / Where there ain t been no light. (12 13). And sometimes goin in the dark (12) could
mean two things: she felt hopeless at some points in her life, or that it was hard to see the way. If a

Physics-Bridge Project Essay
Humans have tamed steel, stone, lumber, and even living vegetation, all in effort to reach the people,
places, and things that we desire. Although the concept of bridges is as simple as a tree falling across a
creek, bridge design and construction requires very serious ingenuity. Artists, engineers, and architects
pour vast resources into bridge construction so that they can reshape our daily environment for the
better. When building bridges you ll need help from BATS which are the key structural components of
bridge construction such as beams, arches , trusses, and suspensions. Various combinations of these
four technologies make it possible for numerous bridge designs, ranging from some bridges as simple
as beam bridges, arch bridges, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The truss design, which is a variant of a triangle, creates both a very rigid structure and one that
transfers the load from a single point to a considerably wider area. After being used for 2000 years of
architectural use, the arch continues to feature prominently in bridge designs. Its semicircular structure
elegantly distributes compression through its entire form and diverts weight onto its two abutments,
which are the components of the bridge that directly take on the pressure being exerted onto the
bridge. The tensional forces in arch bridges are virtually negligible. That is because the natural curve
of the arch and its ability to dissipate the force outward greatly reduces the effects of tension on the
underside of the arch. The greater the degree of curvature, the greater the effects of tension on the
underside of the bridge. If you build a big enough arch, the tension will eventually overtake the
support of the bridges natural structure. While there is a fair amount in variety in arch bridge
construction, the basic structure of every arch bridge is the same. For example there is Roman,
Baroque and Renaissance which are all architecturally different they all have the same basic structure.
It is the individual arch itself gives its namesake bridge its strength. An arch made of stone doesn t
need a mortar. In fact the ancient Romans built arch bridges and aqueducts that are still standing today
and are made

Oppression In The Yellow Wallpaper And Reunion
Oppression is a theme commonly found in literary texts, which is best defined as an unjust or
excessive exercise of power. For instance, Charlotte Perkins Gilman s The Yellow Wallpaper
illustrates oppression through the tragic story of a woman s descent into madness as a result of her
husband s dominance over her. Additionally, John Cheever s Reunion illustrates the act of oppression
in a son s narration of his reunion with his pompous father. Although The Yellow Wallpaper and
Reunion offer different storylines, both literary texts demonstrate how submissiveness can result in
strained relationships and a character s destruction. In the story, The Yellow Wallpaper, Charlotte
Perkins Gilman uses the protagonist to portray the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Upon their reunion, the son, Charlie, reveals the expectations he has for his father, as soon as I saw
him I felt that he was my father, my flesh and blood, my future....I knew that when I was grown I
would be something like him; I would have to plan my campaigns within his limitations. He was a
big, good looking man, and I was terribly happy to see him again. As the story goes on, Charlie s
expectations of his father are shattered upon realizing the struggle to try to salvage what is clearly a
strained relationship. Throughout Charlie s narration, it becomes apparent that the primary reason
behind the strained relationship is his father s oppressive nature. Immediately upon their reunion, the
father demonstrated an excessive exercise of power by patronizing the waiters in the restaurants he
attended with Charlie, I have a whistle that is audible only to the ears of old waiters. Now, take out
your little pad and your little pencil and see if you can get this straight: two Beefeater Gibsons. Repeat
after me: two Beefeater Gibsons. In addition, the father demonstrated a sense of superiority through
his boastful use of foreign words and ill mannered behavior, Well, the hell with you. Vada all inferno.
Due to his desperate attempt to impress Charlie by unjustifiably commanding those around him, the
father diminishes his chance of a healthy relationship with his son. Although the father offered a small
consolation towards the end of his reunion, it is evident that his oppressive nature shattered his son s
mindset of building a healthy relationship with

skills which I learnt on placement were how to effectively use my interpersonal skills along with my
use of self and learnt how to recording information on the organisations database. These skills link in
with my learning plan, in particular my learning goal of participate in professional practice with a
focus on the use of self and practice standards. When I was on placement, I was a part of a team which
required me to use my interpersonal skills and use of self in a particular way. By being a part of a team
I had to comprehend how I was going to use my interpersonal skills and use of self, for example I was
using my personality, non verbal and verbal cues to interact with clients and my team. Towards the
end of placement I was provided with the opportunity to use my self and interpersonal skills while
working with a young girl. The way in which I used my interpersonal skills was by sitting at the same
level as the young girl and I mirrored her behaviour in some sections of the meeting. When I was
working with the young girl, I made sure that there were no barriers such as a table in the middle of
us. Another key skill which I obtained was information recording by writing case notes and
assessments. Throughout my placement, I was able to use the Structured Decision Making (SDM)

This report aims to discuss the multi dimensional factors which influence the planning,
implementation, and the evaluation of health interventions. The first part is the discussion of the
impact of the determinant factors such as the demographic distribution of populations, the political
values, the religious beliefs, the human values, the ethnicity, and traditions in the whole process, as
mentioned above of health interventions. The next section is about the public views and attitudes on
health and the factor that can alter health state such as illness, as well as the public attitudes towards
health and medical advocates. Lastly, this report will talk the different influences of the interaction

Demographic Distribution of Populations
Rapid influx of migrants with diverse ethnicity and cultural background, with different social and
economic status, age group that varies from birth, active years, and geriatric are factors that
contributes to changes in population demographics, that has specific demands which needs special

Helping the Poor Whites in the Book, American Slavery,...
American Slavery, American Freedom was written by Edmund S. Morgan, a professor at Yale
University, who was born in 1916 and studied with very well known professors at Harvard. The book
is broken down into four sections: early English colonization, the beginning of a stable colony in
Virginia, the indentured servant class and African slaves as a permanent labor.
The first book Morgan talks about the relationship between the English colonists and the American
Indians who inhabited the land previously. The issues between the two groups started when The
Virginia Company refused to rely on the Indians for any help living on this new land and when the
king gave all of the power to The Virginia Company, they still fought on having the Indians ... Show

Indians were being forbidden from buying land and if they damaged land owned by whites, then
members of their tribe were often kidnapped and tortured. As time went on and the colony needed
more people, captains began bringing desperate men, criminals and unlikely men to the colony to
work. The arrivals of these men lead to the creation of a group of rebellious supporters of Nathaniel
Bacon, who wanted the governor to approve aggressive actions toward the Indians. When their request
was denied, Bacon s Rebellion occurred and Morgan mentioned that this action showed the
resentment of the Indians was stronger than the resentment of the wealthy people of England.
In the fourth section of American Slavery, American Freedom, Morgan talked about the transition
from servants to African slaves and the beginnings of racism within the colony, poor and wealthy
whites and the beginnings of a revolution. Many thought that the transition from servants to slaves
was something that was going to be destructive and difficult, however the appearance of racism within
the colony made the transition much easier and the people of the colony purchased slaves from Africa
rather than servants from England. In 1619 slavery became known around the world, but because of
the high mortality rates of Africans, it was neither successful nor profitable for those in charge.
Slavery was officially recognized in 1661, after conditions for traveling improved and more than half

INDUSTRY PROFILE
[pic]
An overview: The steel industry
The Indian Steel industry is almost 100 years old now. Till 1990, the Indian steel industry operated
under a regulated environment with insulated markets and large scale capacities reserved for the
public sector. Production and prices were determined and regulated by the Government, while SAIL
and Tata Steel were the main producers, the latter being the only private player. The industry took its
first faltering steps in 1907 with the setup of the first integrated steel plant in Jamshedpur by TISCO.
Since then the Indian steel industry has emerged as one of the core sectors in the Indian economy with
a very significant impact on economic growth.
The 90 s were a very tumultuous time for the Indian economy 1992 saw India takes its first steps
towards economic liberalization. Along with the opening up of the economy Indian Steel also saw the
entry of a number of domestic players. Private investment flowed into the industry adding fresh
capacities. The major growth came after economic liberalization in 1992. Steel production and
consumption, which were earlier controlled by government, were liberalized. This encouraged the
growth of private enterprises that were further responsible for the growth of the industry, especially

Some people who have experienced sexual abuse have a hard time recognizing harmful outcomes of
situations or decisions. Because of this difficulty, individuals who experienced sexual abuse as a child
are more prone to partake in at risk behavior while they are adults, especially college aged. At risk
behaviors for college students could include unprotected sex and self medication with drugs and
alcohol (Morrill, 2014).
Emotional Effects The emotional effects sexually abused individuals experience are numerous. Some
common effects include low self esteem, maladaptive coping strategies, difficulty regulating emotions,
dissociation, self blame and shame. Many people have studied how these effects are related to sexual

Congo Rebellion Essay
Fighting between the government and the Tutsi, Mobutu s state of emergency, and the swearing in of
Laurent Kabila s son as president after Laurent s murder were major events in the Congo Wars.
Dangerous fighting and rebellions in close proximity to towns made civilians and refugees move. As
these rebellions started closing in on major cities, Mobutu Sese Seko declared a state of emergency
giving the military (and himself) more power. During the next war, President Laurent Kabila was shot
and his son was sworn in. Dangerous fighting between the corrupt Congolese army and Tutsi rebels in
October 1996 forced Rwandan refugees and civilians out of their camps and homes, respectively.

on line. You need to take them as soon as possible preferably as soon as three days if possible, but no
later than five days after sex for the result to be the most effective. Again they are used for preventing
pregnancy, not for stopping, or aborting it. Contraceptives like condoms, or other birth control
methods are to protect, and hopefully prevent pregnancy if used correctly. These are not 100%
effective either, so do not rely on these methods to prevent STD, STI, or prevent a 100% of

Traditional Medicine And Modern Medicine
Since 7,000 BCE humans were discovered to have used primitive methods to practice medicine and
overtime it s become more sophisticated. Medicine, in general, is the science and practice of the
diagnosis, treatments, and prevention of disease. It encompasses a variety of evolved methods to
maintain and rejuvenate health. When aspects of traditional medicine such as acupuncture and herbal
remedies are combined with modern scientific medicine, complications regarding a person s mental or
physical condition may be resolved in an affordable, ethical, and effective manner.
Today in America the cost of goods in general is steadily rising while their earnings are disporinate to
this increase leaving many in debt. Statistics show that healthcare is the number one cause of personal
bankruptcy and is responsible for more collections than credit cards. According to Olga Khazan of the
Atlantic Roughly 40 percent of Americans owe collectors money for times they were sick (2).
Collectively, Americans are alarmingly paying more for treatments due to hidden costs in the initial
procedure. A solution for this would involve incorporating traditional medicine with modern scientific
medicine. Importantly, to clear up any misconception about what defines modern, traditional , and
alternative medicine a few lines will be dedicated. The World Health Organization states that

[Note Fig. 7.1.] III. ECONOMIC RATIONALES FOR GOVERNMENTAL INTERVENTION
Government intervention in the trade process may be either economic or noneconomic in nature. [See
Table 7.1.] A. Unemployment Persistent unemployment pushes many groups to call for protectionism;
one of the most effective is organized labor. By limiting imports, local jobs are retained as firms and
consumers are forced to purchase domestically produced goods and services. However, unless the
protectionist country is relatively small, such measures usually do little to limit unemployment. On the
other hand, they may result in a decline in export related jobs because of (i) price increases for
components or (ii) lower incomes abroad. Further, such measures are likely to lead to retaliation
unless either the protectionist or the affected country is relatively small. Thus, governments must
carefully balance the costs of higher prices with the costs of unemployment and the displaced
production that would result from freer trade when enacting such measures. B. Infant Industry
Argument First presented by Alexander Hamilton in 1792, the infant industry argument holds that a
government should temporarily shield emerging industries in which the country may ultimately
possess a comparative advantage from international competition until

King Lear Cordelia Quotes Analysis
Goneril feels jealousy towards her youngest sister Cordelia due to her strong relationship with King
Lear, something Goneril never had with Lear. Goneril feels as though her father has reprimanded her
all of her life and could never accept her. You see how full of changes his age is; the observation we
have made of it hath (not) been little. He always loved our sister most, and with what poor judgment
he hath now cast her off appears too grossly. (1.1.290 293) In this quote Goneril addresses the fact it

causes resentment between the children and competition for the parents affection, which could even

Summary Of Guy Debord s Society Of The Spectacle
Throughout history there have been many well known philosophers. Through this paper I will be
discussing the perspectives of philosophers Guy Debord, Michel Foucault, and John Rawls. In Guy
Debord s, The Society of the Spectacle he makes critics of technological capitalism. In Michel
Foucault s, Power/Knowledge he goes over different types of power and how they are interpreted.
Debord was a situationist international, which meant creating situations or creating situations.
Referring to the several theses in Debord s novel I can say that the society of the spectacle ...is not a
collection of images; rather, it is a social relationship between people that is mediated by images
(Derbord, 12). This shows that it is not only a result ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Consumable survival must increase, in fact, because it continues to enshrine deprivation. The reason
there is nothing beyond augmented survival, and no end to its growth, is that survival itself belongs to
the realm of dispossession: it may gild poverty, but it cannot transcend it (Debord, 30). This explains
that the people are consumers of illusions; it blindsides the people from reality and only allows them
to only be aware of what society or social media wants them to know.
In Michel Foucault s, Power/ Knowledge , there are two chapters titled Truth and Power and The Eye
of the Power . Foucault s conception of power is that power is everywhere. Everyone has power and
has the ability to make use of their power, but often times citizens don t make use of their power. It
seems that they are in fear of those who enforce their power already, which prevents them to make use
of their power. An everyday individual sees power to be in the hands of who the people have chosen .
We should not always think about power as the private property of government or state, but rather as
an equal common ground for all of those who share the land. It is not the state that doesn t matter, but
the power is bigger than the state; although the state has power, it does not have all power. A

Secular Humanism In The United States
What is Secularism Secularism according to some people is the belief that man does not need God to
be good. Secularism is also defined as a system of doctrines and practices that disregards any form of
religious faith and worship. Secularism has become widespread throughout the world and has been
adopted by almost all countries. Most country leaders do not identify their country with a particular
religion publically, but as a personal choice. Countries Even though Christianity continues to dominate
as the world system of belief, the likes of Secular Humanism continues to grow. Humanism in the

La Story and Shakespeare
In American comedian/actor/writer/director Steve Martin s L.A. Story, there are many Shakespearean
references. This is displayed on multiple levels. Sometimes it is subtle, like a borrowed plot device
that bears a tiny resemblance to the play it was borrowed from. At other times, there will be a direct
quote credited to Shakespeare himself. Or there will be a scene directly taken from a Shakespeare
play, almost verbatim. The movie itself serves as a model of the influence that Shakespeare has had on
filmmaking.
The movie is credited with being a variation on A Midsummer Night s Dream. This is a more subtle
lifting of the works. The similarities are limited to the device of the confused lovers, and the possible

Less than subtle cinematography shows it in their expressions. A question is presented right before this
moment, and it was only previously touched upon. While walking through the graveyard, the couple
pause by Shakespeare s grave. Many of the general populous may have overlooked this, or simply not
known that he is most certainly not buried in Los Angeles. But there is a possibility that Martin
utilized the scene as a question posed to the viewing audience. Has Hollywood killed William
Shakespeare? Or in actuality, do they view him as dead, not realizing that much of what is being
produced owes some, if not most of it s existence to the Bard. Steve Martin may have been saying the
latter, in immediately following with the gravedigger scene. The fact that Hamlet is quoted, despite the
fact that Martin is actually making conversation, not realizing what he is doing immediately, suggests
that perhaps Hollywood doesn t realize that that are referencing Shakespeare. The gravestone leads to
a further range of possibilities. There are a few interpretations of this symbol to be considered. One is
the suggestion that Shakespeare was dead to Hollywood at the time of the film s creation. This movie
was a product of the early 1990s, when one of the biggest hits of the era was Terminator 2: Judgment
Day. A film in which a main character arrives in a city where his sole motivation is to murder the

Foreshadowing In The Pancakes Sparknotes
Everybody wants to be perfect. People want to have control of their lives, yet life does not work that
way. In the short story, Pancakes, Joan Bauer wrote about, Jill, the main character, controlling her
work at a pancake house. One Sunday when Jill was working, a group of tourists arrived at the
pancake house. Jill was the only waitress working so she had to balance her perfect work as customers
come in. Jill tries to do her perfect way, but with customers in and out of the restaurant, the stress she
has makes her fail at being perfect. The author s overall argument in Pancakes is that it is impossible
to be perfect through the use of foreshadowing, simile, and the first person point of view. Sometimes,
life does not go as one expects. Bauer used foreshadowing for predictions, to what Jill had said about
her life on how she always has control of it. Jill explains to the readers about her work day on how it
usually goes like and explains why it is good to have control in life. Jill adds herself to the reason why
she wants everything to be in her control because of her experience so far, I never lose control (83).
Jill tells readers that she never lost control of her life because she always used her perfect ways to
manage her life. The reason why the author says this is to foreshadow was to have a prediction that Jill
will lose control later on in the story. The foreshadowing had told us that she never loses control, but
yet at the end of the story she gets overwhelmed. The control she had on her job, can not be controlled
without help from another person. Foreshadowing helps the reader have predictions on how Jill could
not control her life, even if she tried, and also using similes can help a reader see what Jill feels like.
Being perfect is impossible to handle so Bauer uses similes to describe Jill in how she handles her life.
To have descriptive images, Bauer used similes to describe Jill when she is working to make readers
understand how being perfect is like. When Jill was explaining how her job goes like in a day, she
used her memory to tell the readers. The author had used a simile to how Jill acted, ... watching my

Curriculum In College Curriculum
Ethical Curriculum College campuses are used to further an individual s intelligence, and it allows the
students to compete for better paying jobs. Along with the apprehension of information that allows
students to go on to pursue a higher level profession, the responsibility aspect of ethical and moral
liability also increases. Students who graduate from college campuses should be held to a higher
standard when it comes to ethical and moral accountability. Also, having great professors to teach
ethics and morals in a classroom is a very important issue because when anyone learns anything from
someone they must respect that person. I believe that moral instruction and ethical content should be a
required part of the college curriculum because it increases the required respect towards one another in
a professional environments.
College graduates tend to go into higher positions in their companies, and they have a lot more power
than the average worker. With that power the expectation of having a higher sense of ethics and
morals are deeply required. If they do not have a clear understanding of those two things then
problems will occur within those corporations. In David A. Hoekema s essay, The Unacknowledged
Ethicists On Campuses, he discusses that the college consumers are initially attending college to foster
a deeper sense of humanity and with that they acquire the morality aspect along with the increasing
power of intellect. I do agree with Hoekemas statements in

Export And Demand Of Goods From Other Countries
For years upon years, countries have been requesting for other countries for supplies that they do not
have for themselves. The countries would demand for that item and in return the other country would
supply it for them. They would trade products in and out of their countries due to a term known as
supply and demand. The goods and services that a country supplies and demands depends on the
country and what they have. Since not every country has the same needs or has the same resources,
there is a trade between countries at times. Comparing the countries and their supply and demands of
imports and exports, the top countries for each have their reasons to why they re at the top, whether it

Some countries might supply, the amount of goods that a market can produce, and demand, the
amount of goods the consumers are willing to buy, more than others, but they are still supplying and
demanding something out of someone else. The country could demand something from its own
citizens and the citizens would supply it, but it could be applied to an even bigger audience. A country
could demand something from another country and in result, the other country would supply the
demand to either keep its friendship with the other country, or to keep its reliance for when something
is needed. Or the countries could do a simple trade of supplies they have that the countries demand. In
result to supply and demand between countries, it creates utility, total satisfaction received from
consuming a goods or service. Demand shows how much of a product a consumer is willing and able
to consume, based on the price at a certain time period. The law of demand is, when prices are to fall,
the quantity of the product that consumers want begins to rise. In simpler forms, when the price to an
item drops, consumers are willing to buy more because they are cheaper and more affordable, more
people are willing and able to buy the item. If it was to be the opposite, where the price was to
increase, the demand for the product would decrease due to the price being more expensive. When
prices are decreased, the quantity is increased, which gives the law of demand an inverse

The Gap Between Advanced Northern Countries And Developing...
The developmental gap between advanced northern countries and developing southern countries has
endured for centuries. The gaps primary cause is a lack of strong stable institutions in developing
countries. The institutional failure is due, at least in part, to colonialism, which allowed for uneven
northern development predicated upon southern subjugation and abuse. Within enslaved colonies, the
colonizers installed poor institutions that would impact the country s ability to later function as a
sovereign nation. Following the end of the colonial era, the developed North would supply policy
recommendations or requirements along side aid to help the South develop. These policies lacked
provisions to improve institutions within developing countries, proving to be monumental barriers for
the South to catch up to the North. In addition, modern protectionist flare ups have stalled global trade
reverting back to bilateral or regional trade agreements that are more harmful for developing
countries. Bad institutions coupled with a lack of trade and investment pose as a further hindrance to
development. The end of the colonial era may have felt like a huge step forward for newly sovereign
nations, but in fact for some it would prove to be just as, or more detrimental than colonialism. Author
Daron Acemoglu offers an institutional hypothesis that essentially points to good institutions as the
catalyst that would eventually lead a country to economic prosperity

All Out War
Within war torn Europe, prior to World War II, various sentiments from World War I were still being
held not only by the governments of Europe but the citizens within them. These sentiments caused
Germany, led by Adolf Hitler, to bully the rest of Europe into submission so that he could build his
military up and unleash war like never before. Hitler used foreign policy to complete his plans to
destroy the Versailles treaty, rule and colonize the rest of Europe, and exterminate all racial inferiors;
such as Jews. Peace and trust between countries also began to wither from discrete pacts being signed
in fear of the Germans. The annexation of Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia also was a significant
event prior to an all out war. War was finally unleashed by Hitler when the Polish, British, and French

Emily Grierson Theory
The Psychoanalytic Theory may be the most engaging ways of accessing Emily Grierson, of how
mentally disturbed she turned out to be. First, we look at Emily s issues, she showed a big amount fear

She kept the body long enough to where the town s people noticed a bad smell and had to bust into her
home and take the body, that s when she lets go, at least physically speaking. Emily learned to love
like her father and she demonstrates some of her father s personality traits as she grew older. Not only
does she try to hold on to her father s dead body, she does the same thing to Homer s dead body. She

First Thanksgiving Essay
It is undoubted that holidays history is the point of entry to any living cultures. In specific, the United
States national holiday in November Thanksgiving reflects the country s culture of consumerism. The
first documented Thanksgiving meal in America was between the Spanish settlers, and the Timucua
tribe in La Florida in 1565 (Franklin 19). Interestingly, the main courses were salt pork and garbanzo
beans offered by the Spanish and alligator meat offered by the Native Americans (Franklin 19).
Nonetheless, most Americans associate the first Thanksgiving with the moment when the Pilgrims
shared a three day feast with the Wampanoag in 1621 (McCabe 52). Throughout the history,
Americans have twisted the cornerstone of the Thanksgiving feast to create new traditions.
There was minimal information of the actual first Thanksgiving in 1621. ... Show more content on

Since wildfowls were high status foods in England , the Pilgrims unquestionably wanted them for the
feast (McCabe 52). Winslow mentioned that men were sent out to hunt wildfowls, including goose or
duck (Evans 86). Contrary to American s wide imaginations, turkeys were not the centerpiece of the
first Thanksgiving due to many reasons, such as they were hard to catch, and the meat was tough and
lean (Evans 86). There is a possibility that the Pilgrims utilized home grown herbs and precious
imported spices to season their foods (P. Baker and J. Baker 56). Nevertheless, they were more likely
to boil the meats, since roasting was very laborious in the old days (P. Baker and J. Baker 56). On the
other hand, the Wampanoag killed five deer to bring to the feast (McCabe 52). Venison is believed to
be the main dish of the traditional American Thanksgiving

Mental Illnesses Analysis
Regarding what is known as, mental illness makes it hard to believe or not to believe that mental
illness is real and not a myth. With the ongoing changes that are made to diagnosing patients as well
as the symptoms they must encounter, it is hard to know exactly what medical abnormalities would
fall under this category to be diagnosed with what is known as a mental illness. Do to the various
definitions and meanings that fall under mental illnesses I would have to say that I agree and disagree
with what Thomas Szasz has written. Szasz has some great points but many that I disagree with.
Doctors, as well as, medical experts diagnose individuals with what they are thought to be as mental
illnesses. But how is a mental illness diagnosed

Social Pressure In Randall Jarrell s The Ball Turret Gunner
People s opinions can be changed or influenced by social pressure. We are swayed by our peers, the
media and by advertising. We are surrounded by something or someone telling us what is the newest
fashion, the latest social trend and even what is considered attractive. These social pressures succeed
because the need to conform is an innate instinct that increases survivability in a social environment.
This conforming to social pressure is not bad or wrong; however, the implications of what can happen
when we become overly agreeable are troubling. Studies have been conducted and poems have been
written about our instinct to conform and how it could affect the future. Solomon E. Asch, a social
psychologist, conducted one of these studies. The experiments, which examined a person s responses
when faced with social pressure, consisted of a group of people that were shown two cards: one with
one line drawn on it and another card with 3 or more lines drawn on it. The subjects were to respond
which line on the second card was the same length of the line on the first card. However, not all of the
participants were actual subjects. Some were told ahead of time to give an incorrect answer and for the
others to follow. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jarrell s poem is about a ball turret gunner for a military unit during a war. The gunner describes
himself as being asleep his whole life until he gets killed by an enemy plane. What this means is that,
from the day he was born, he did what he was told and obeyed the government (the State ). The last
line of the poem states, When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose. This line is
significant because it implies that the gunner s sacrifice of his life for the State was meaningless, as if
he were just another product on an assembly line. His reward for conforming to the State s wishes was

Tea Party Dbq
The Boston Tea party helped repeal tax on tea and made a stand on the British. But was it necessary?
When thinking of the Boston Tea party, tea being dumped into a river or an ocean comes to mind. But
there is so much more than that. The questions that should come to mind are; was it necessary, who
and how it was organized, what effects did it have on the British East India Company and on the
United States.
The British taxed American colonist on many things, including sugar, paper, lead, and paint. But their
biggest mistake was passing the tax on tea. In the year of 1773, the Tea Act was passed. The Boston
Tea Party was a response to the Tea Act. It was very necessary because everyone drank tea even more
so than people in Britain. The Boston Tea Party was a stand on the tax. American colonist had the

Design A Wireless Sensor Nodes Using Fpga For Fire...
The aim of this paper is to design a wireless sensor node using FPGA for fire monitoring and control.
FPGA is used in the wireless sensor node design in order to enhance the processing capabilities of the
system to meet the target applications. The sensor nodes in a wireless sensor network are normally
microcontroller based which are having inadequate computational capacity related to various
applications. This paper describes the selection, specification and comprehension of a wireless sensor
node using the field programmable gate array (FPGA) based architecture for an early detection of
hazards (e.g. smoke and fire). The FPGAs in its place are more proficient for complex computations in
compare to microcontrollers. Another benefit of using FPGA is also due to its reconfigurable
characteristic without changing the hardware itself. The node is implemented using Spartan 3A FPGA
board from Xilinx. A design of simple hardware circuit with different type of fire sensors enables
every user to use this wireless fire security system. The FPGA will constantly supervise all the sensors
and if it senses any security trouble then the FPGA will send the information to the PC central
monitoring station wirelessly using Zigbee technology. The system is based on the Lab VIEW
software.
Keywords FPGA; Wireless Sensor Network (WSN); Temperature sensor; Smoke sensor; Fire sensor;
Zigbee; LabVIEW.

Causes Of The American War
American and the Great War
World War I was the first big war of the twentieth century, a defining event in world history. There
were many causes that led to the war, the murdering of Frank Ferdinand was a quick cause of the war.
Imperialism, Nationalism, and Militarism played a huge role overtime.
Nationalism led to competition between European nations, over who had the largest military or
industrial development. Nationalism promoted arrogance, that was only encouraged by the media.
Europe believed their defenses were unstoppable and could win any war. Politicians made the want for

Essay On The Susquehanna River
There are many different ways to determine the health of a river. The class took a trip to the
Susquehanna River to explore and learn about it. The Susquehanna River contributes forty four
percent of the water that enters the Chesapeake Bay. Because of this, it is essential that the
Susquehanna River stays clean. There are many testable indicators when determining the health of the
river. Some of the indicators are the levels of pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrates, phosphates, and
temperature. An acceptable pH level is anywhere from five to eight. With this range of pH, wildlife
will be able to thrive in the water! The pH level in East Pennsboro Township and many other places in
Pennsylvania is buffered because of an abundance of naturally found limestone. Dissolved oxygen
levels should be greater than 5 parts per million, but less than 13. The right amount of dissolved
oxygen allows the aquatic animals breathe in their habitat. In dead zones, there are low amounts of
dissolved oxygen and that is why very little life exists there. It is important to keep the levels of
dissolved oxygen in the right range to support wildlife living in the river. ... Show more content on

High levels of nitrates and phosphates are not good for the river because it creates dead zones. Dead
zones are areas that contain low amounts of oxygen in the water. A lot of dead zones in the water aren
t good because a majority of organisms rely on oxygen to live and not many can live in these
conditions. Temperature is another concern for the river. Water with colder temperatures can hold
more dissolved oxygen than warmer temperatures. Therefore, rising temperatures in the river are not
good because it can lead to dead zones. As stated before, dead zones in the river are not

How Did Home Influence Roman Culture
Wealthy romans lived in large houses that were beautifully constructed. The floors were covered with
mosaics, stone or marble. The walls were lined with marble slabs or were frescoed. The ceilings were
bare, exposing beams, but in finer houses they were covered with ivory, gold or were frescoed. The
layout and design of Roman houses reflected the Roman culture. There were many rooms in these
roman homes. The names of the rooms are: triclinium, ala, cubiculum, vesibulum, exedra, taberna,
peristylium, culina, atrium, and the tabilum. Each one of the rooms had a specific purpose. Romans
would enter the villa through the vestibulum, which was a long, narrow hallway that led to the atrium.

Mother to Son, written by Langston Hughes, is a short poem about a mother who is teaching her son about perseverance and determination by using the image of a staircase. She explains that even though life has given her many hardships, she continues forward and she urges her son to do the same. In Mother to Son, Langston Hughes uses an extended metaphor, imagery, dialect, and structure to paint a picture of a weary mother who wants her son to persevere through the hardships of life. A staircase that is broken would not be in a wealthy person s home, so this also shows us that she is poor. In the 1920 s, which was when this poem was written, many African Americans were moving from the South into the cities for a chance at making a living. Most of them were very poor and lived in poverty, which is why the staircases would be broken down, bare, and no carpet. The title, Mother to Son, tells us that this is a mother giving her son advice. Langston Hughes opens the poem by saying, Well, son, I ll tell you: (1), which could mean that the son had asked her about her life or that maybe he was complaining about his current struggles. The mother then begins to tell her son that her life has not been easy, but she never gives up and she urges her son to do the same: So boy, don t you turn back. Don t you set down on the step Cause you finds it s kinder hard. Don t you fall now The mother is telling her son that he should never turn around or sit down just because it gets tough, and she uses herself as an example. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The truss design, which is a variant of a triangle, creates both a very rigid structure and one that transfers the load from a single point to a considerably wider area. After being used for 2000 years of architectural use, the arch continues to feature prominently in bridge designs. Its semicircular structure elegantly distributes compression through its entire form and diverts weight onto its two abutments, which are the components of the bridge that directly take on the pressure being exerted onto the bridge. The tensional forces in arch bridges are virtually negligible. That is because the natural curve of the arch and its ability to dissipate the force outward greatly reduces the effects of tension on the underside of the arch. The greater the degree of curvature, the greater the effects of tension on the underside of the bridge. If you build a big enough arch, the tension will eventually overtake the support of the bridges natural structure. While there is a fair amount in variety in arch bridge construction, the basic structure of every arch bridge is the same. For example there is Roman, Baroque and Renaissance which are all architecturally different they all have the same basic structure. It is the individual arch itself gives its namesake bridge its strength. An arch made of stone doesn t need a mortar. Throughout Charlie s narration, it becomes apparent that the primary reason behind the strained relationship is his father s oppressive nature. Medicine, in general, is the science and practice of the diagnosis, treatments, and prevention of disease. It encompasses a variety of evolved methods to maintain and rejuvenate health. When aspects of traditional medicine such as acupuncture and herbal remedies are combined with modern scientific medicine, complications regarding a person s mental or physical condition may be resolved in an affordable, ethical, and effective manner. ECONOMIC RATIONALES FOR GOVERNMENTAL INTERVENTION Government intervention in the trade process may be either economic or noneconomic in nature. [See Table 7.1.] A. Unemployment Persistent unemployment pushes many groups to call for protectionism; one of the most effective is organized labor. By limiting imports, local jobs are retained as firms and consumers are forced to purchase domestically produced goods and services. However, unless the protectionist country is relatively small, such measures usually do little to limit unemployment. On the other hand, they may result in a decline in export related jobs because of (i) price increases for components or (ii) lower incomes abroad. Further, such measures are likely to lead to retaliation unless either the protectionist or the affected country is relatively small. Thus, governments must carefully balance the costs of higher prices with the costs of unemployment and the displaced production that would result from freer trade when enacting such measures. B. Debord was a situationist international, which meant creating situations or creating situations. The reason there is nothing beyond augmented survival, and no end to its growth, is that survival itself belongs to the realm of dispossession: it may gild poverty, but it cannot transcend it (Debord, 30). This explains that the people are consumers of illusions; it blindsides the people from reality and only allows them to only be aware of what society or social media wants them to know. In Michel Foucault s, Power/ Knowledge , there are two chapters titled Truth and Power and The Eye of the Power . Foucault s conception of power is that power is everywhere. Everyone has power and has the ability to make use of their power, but often times citizens don t make use of their power. It seems that they are in fear of those who enforce their power already, which prevents them to make use of their power. • 33. Foreshadowing In The Pancakes Sparknotes Everybody wants to be perfect. People want to have control of their lives, yet life does not work that way. In the short story, Pancakes, Joan Bauer wrote about, Jill, the main character, controlling her work at a pancake house. One Sunday when Jill was working, a group of tourists arrived at the pancake house. Jill was the only waitress working so she had to balance her perfect work as customers come in. Jill tries to do her perfect way, but with customers in and out of the restaurant, the stress she has makes her fail at being perfect. The author s overall argument in Pancakes is that it is impossible to be perfect through the use of foreshadowing, simile, and the first person point of view. Sometimes, life does not go as one expects. Bauer used foreshadowing for predictions, to what Jill had said about her life on how she always has control of it. Jill explains to the readers about her work day on how it usually goes like and explains why it is good to have control in life. Jill adds herself to the reason why she wants everything to be in her control because of her experience so far, I never lose control (83). Jill tells readers that she never lost control of her life because she always used her perfect ways to manage her life. The reason why the author says this is to foreshadow was to have a prediction that Jill will lose control later on in the story. The foreshadowing had told us that she never loses control, but yet at the end of the story she gets overwhelmed. The control she had on her job, can not be controlled without help from another person. Foreshadowing helps the reader have predictions on how Jill could not control her life, even if she tried, and also using similes can help a reader see what Jill feels like. Being perfect is impossible to handle so Bauer uses similes to describe Jill in how she handles her life. To have descriptive images, Bauer used similes to describe Jill when she is working to make readers understand how being perfect is like. When Jill was explaining how her job goes like in a day, she used her memory to tell the readers. The author had used a simile to how Jill acted, ... watching my station like a hawk, keeping the coffee brewing, getting the pancakes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Students who graduate from college campuses should be held to a higher standard when it comes to ethical and moral accountability. Also, having great professors to teach ethics and morals in a classroom is a very important issue because when anyone learns anything from someone they must respect that person. I believe that moral instruction and ethical content should be a required part of the college curriculum because it increases the required respect towards one another in a professional environments. • 37. The Gap Between Advanced Northern Countries And Developing... The developmental gap between advanced northern countries and developing southern countries has endured for centuries. The gaps primary cause is a lack of strong stable institutions in developing countries. The institutional failure is due, at least in part, to colonialism, which allowed for uneven northern development predicated upon southern subjugation and abuse. Within enslaved colonies, the colonizers installed poor institutions that would impact the country s ability to later function as a sovereign nation. Following the end of the colonial era, the developed North would supply policy recommendations or requirements along side aid to help the South develop. These policies lacked provisions to improve institutions within developing countries, proving to be monumental barriers for the South to catch up to the North. In addition, modern protectionist flare ups have stalled global trade reverting back to bilateral or regional trade agreements that are more harmful for developing countries. Bad institutions coupled with a lack of trade and investment pose as a further hindrance to development. The end of the colonial era may have felt like a huge step forward for newly sovereign nations, but in fact for some it would prove to be just as, or more detrimental than colonialism. • 43. Social Pressure In Randall Jarrell s The Ball Turret Gunner People s opinions can be changed or influenced by social pressure. We are swayed by our peers, the media and by advertising. We are surrounded by something or someone telling us what is the newest fashion, the latest social trend and even what is considered attractive. These social pressures succeed because the need to conform is an innate instinct that increases survivability in a social environment. This conforming to social pressure is not bad or wrong; however, the implications of what can happen when we become overly agreeable are troubling. Studies have been conducted and poems have been written about our instinct to conform and how it could affect the future. Solomon E. Asch, a social psychologist, conducted one of these studies. The experiments, which examined a person s responses when faced with social pressure, consisted of a group of people that were shown two cards: one with one line drawn on it and another card with 3 or more lines drawn on it. The subjects were to respond which line on the second card was the same length of the line on the first card. However, not all of the participants were actual subjects. Some were told ahead of time to give an incorrect answer and for the others to follow. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jarrell s poem is about a ball turret gunner for a military unit during a war. The gunner describes himself as being asleep his whole life until he gets killed by an enemy plane. What this means is that, from the day he was born, he did what he was told and obeyed the government (the State ). The last line of the poem states, When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose. This line is significant because it implies that the gunner s sacrifice of his life for the State was meaningless, as if he were just another product on an assembly line. His reward for conforming to the State s wishes was an early ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Tea Party Dbq The Boston Tea party helped repeal tax on tea and made a stand on the British. But was it necessary? When thinking of the Boston Tea party, tea being dumped into a river or an ocean comes to mind. But there is so much more than that. The questions that should come to mind are; was it necessary, who and how it was organized, what effects did it have on the British East India Company and on the United States. The British taxed American colonist on many things, including sugar, paper, lead, and paint. But their biggest mistake was passing the tax on tea. In the year of 1773, the Tea Act was passed. The Boston Tea Party was a response to the Tea Act. It was very necessary because everyone drank tea even more so than people in Britain. The Boston Tea Party was a stand on the tax. • 45. Design A Wireless Sensor Nodes Using Fpga For Fire... The aim of this paper is to design a wireless sensor node using FPGA for fire monitoring and control. FPGA is used in the wireless sensor node design in order to enhance the processing capabilities of the system to meet the target applications. The sensor nodes in a wireless sensor network are normally microcontroller based which are having inadequate computational capacity related to various applications. This paper describes the selection, specification and comprehension of a wireless sensor node using the field programmable gate array (FPGA) based architecture for an early detection of hazards (e.g. smoke and fire). The FPGAs in its place are more proficient for complex computations in compare to microcontrollers. Another benefit of using FPGA is also due to its reconfigurable characteristic without changing the hardware itself. The node is implemented using Spartan 3A FPGA board from Xilinx. A design of simple hardware circuit with different type of fire sensors enables every user to use this wireless fire security system. The FPGA will constantly supervise all the sensors and if it senses any security trouble then the FPGA will send the information to the PC central monitoring station wirelessly using Zigbee technology. The system is based on the Lab VIEW software. Keywords FPGA; Wireless Sensor Network (WSN); Temperature sensor; Smoke sensor; Fire sensor; Zigbee; LabVIEW. I. • 49. Essay On The Susquehanna River There are many different ways to determine the health of a river. The class took a trip to the Susquehanna River to explore and learn about it. The Susquehanna River contributes forty four percent of the water that enters the Chesapeake Bay. Because of this, it is essential that the Susquehanna River stays clean. There are many testable indicators when determining the health of the river. Some of the indicators are the levels of pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrates, phosphates, and temperature. An acceptable pH level is anywhere from five to eight. With this range of pH, wildlife will be able to thrive in the water! The pH level in East Pennsboro Township and many other places in Pennsylvania is buffered because of an abundance of naturally found limestone. Dissolved oxygen levels should be greater than 5 parts per million, but less than 13. The right amount of dissolved oxygen allows the aquatic animals breathe in their habitat. In dead zones, there are low amounts of dissolved oxygen and that is why very little life exists there. It is important to keep the levels of dissolved oxygen in the right range to support wildlife living in the river. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... High levels of nitrates and phosphates are not good for the river because it creates dead zones. Dead zones are areas that contain low amounts of oxygen in the water. A lot of dead zones in the water aren t good because a majority of organisms rely on oxygen to live and not many can live in these conditions. Temperature is another concern for the river. Water with colder temperatures can hold more dissolved oxygen than warmer temperatures. Therefore, rising temperatures in the river are not good because it can lead to dead zones. As stated before, dead zones in the river are not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
