Main Features Of Motivation

encourages a person to act as desired. In another way we can sya that Motivation is having the
encouragement to do something. Motivation gives the result to confident important questions like why
and how people work and what determines the direction of their actions?
The process of motivation contains needs, drives and aims. Need is behind most of the man s action.
Some of the needs of the people are Good facilities; more pay, identification, opportunities for

Motivation refers to the way in which urges, drives, desires, aspirations, strivings, needs, directs or
control or explain the behaviour of human beings. D.E. McFarland
Features or Characteristics:
Some of the features of motivation are listed below
1. Motivation is always internal to the individual:
It is necessarily a psychological phenomenon. Berelson and Steiner said that A motive is an inner state
that energizes, activates or moves (hence motivation) and that directs or channels behaviour towards
goals.
2. Motivation of a individual is in entirely and not in parts:
Different needs of Humans makes behaviour. For example A worker works in a factory because he
needs money, same like this thirsty man feels the need of water to overcome his thirst. The feeling of
needs is a continuous process and the satisfaction of one need leads to the creation of a new one.
Therefore motivation should be in entirely because all needs are interrelated.
3. The result if ability and motivation is Performance

Warren G. Harding
Daniel Butchen Essay # 8 The 1920 s were a time of prosperity in our country. War was over,
businesses were booming, and everybody seemed to be having a good time. This was especially true
for president Warren G. Harding. He was a man that enjoyed women, poker, and drinking during a
time when alcohol was supposed to be illegal. More controversial was his use of liquor. Throughout
his adult life Harding drank and saw nothing wrong in it. He was never personally committed to
Prohibition, even though he had voted for it and, like many Americans, pretended the law did not
apply to him. He was careful to serve liquor only in his private rooms in the White House and would
sometimes take visitors there for that purpose. It was later claimed ... Show more content on

This was known as the Teapot Dome Scandal . Fall was found guilty in court and was even sentenced
to jail time. While this wasn t directly Harding s fault, it dealt a huge blow to his reputation. This was
Harding s biggest mistake; the people he hired. Still, Harding did manage to do some damage to his
own reputation with his actions. After Harding passed away a women named Nan Britton had come
out publicly saying Harding had an affair with her, and had fathered her child. While it was swept
under the rug successfully during his years in office, it was pretty well known that this was true. While
Harding is mostly known for his scandals and inactivity, he did accomplish some things in office. He
had kept a very successful watch over the budget and government spending. He had fought for civil
rights and had gone into America s most racist city, Birmingham, Alabama, and delivered a key civil
rights speech. However, his successes are overmatched by his scandals, and in 1923, 3 years after
being elected, Harding had been through enough physically and mentally, and died while in office. He
was succeeded by his vice president, Calvin Coolidge. Coolidge had a very different personality than
Harding. Coolidge was a rather cold person. He spoke in a high pitched, squeaky voice and spoke as
little as possible. He had a dry sense of humor and was

Psalms Requirements
1. Introduction
The book of Psalms is an indispensable literature for those believers that wish to worship God in Spirit
and in truth. The name Psalms originates from the Hebrew language which means praises . However,
Christian worship is not limited to singing songs of praise. Biblical worship encompasses our heart s
desire, our love for God. This kind of worship has been a part of every great spiritual awakening in
history.
Historically, the book of Psalms covers the time of Moses until the end of the exile of Israel. Although
scholars consider the titles of the Psalms difficult to comprehend, they assume that the title of each
Psalm explains the historical context of the biblical passage. One of the main purposes of the book of
Psalms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, it is considered an essential source of God s law. Scholars assume that the psalms have
been used in the cult of the second temple as a liturgical practice. According to Sigmund Mowinckel,
in the past, the book of Psalms was the main hymnbook of Israel. Mowinckel affirms that the title of
the book of Psalms means cultic songs of Praise and the term cultic involves worship, doctrine, and
behavior. In other words, cult may be defined as the socially established and regulated holy acts and
words in which the encounter and communion of the Deity with the congregation is established,
developed, and brought to its ultimate goal Therefore, cult involves a relationship with God as
observed in the religious life of Israel. Andrew B. McGowan agrees with the idea that the cult had a
remarkable meaning for the Israelites. He sustains that ancient Christians were able to experience
worship during their liturgical moments of service because those moments communicated, shared
values and obedience to the Word of God. Liturgical moments will never replace the real meaning of a
genuine Christian Worship. That is the reason that leads McGowan to affirm that Christian worship is
not limited to liturgy but moral values. Another association between the book of Psalms and worship
can be found in particular Psalms that express praise,

Summer Reflection Paper
My 2016 summer was a great journey. I was engulfed with driving and traveling around with my
family. During the summer my family and i bought a new lake house. So, almost every week we
would drive up there. I loved it cause i got wake up to the smell of the lake. I d get to see the white fog
covering the icy feeling of the lake in the morning. I really enjoyed it because when i m up there, i feel
it relieves so much stress. I don t have to worry about the news or school. To me it s almost like a new
world. Also, I love going out on the lake, doing tubing and more. Overall the lake is a fun place to go
to get away from the rest of the world and relax. Also to spend time with family. Another big part of
me being up there so much was that I eventually got to know the owners of the local marina on the
lake. Eventually i got to know them so well, that i decided to apply for a job there. With a little help
from my mom, i was able to fill out a form and turn it in. Before i even knew it I got the job! It was
fun and a big experience for me. It was big for me because this was actually was my first official job
experience, on the books. My mom actually said to me, James make sure you act like a professional
when at work. You never know what life skills you might learn there. I got to work the cash register
and in the kitchen, cooking foods etc. One of my favorite memories was that i got to meet new people
and get introduced to their lifestyles. The other people who worked there were around the ages 16 21.
It was fun because we were all teenagers and around the same age. We would talk about hanging out
after work and It was a new but fun experience for me. Another thing that was cool about my job at
the marina is that I could either swim or walk there in less than 5 minutes. One cool thing about
working there is that every Friday and Saturday night there would be concerts at the marina and a ton
of people would come. My boss would get me to serve food and beverages to the people who ordered
It for the concert. Overall this part of of my summer crafted me into a hard working and dedicated kid.
I remember one night when me and my family were up at the lake, It was our neighbors party. (They

It is a known pillar of the political philosophy known as realism that might makes right , a tenet that
can be traced back to Thucydides retelling of the Peloponnesian War. At its core, the saying conveys
the notion that those with power can push their idea of right into fruition. However, as our society
begins and continues to hold those with power accountable for their actions, an updated version of the
maxim is required: might must do right. Those with power are compelled to do right by the freshly
discovered strength of the little guy , and consequences can include international sanctions or even a
loss of power, be it gradual or sudden. This ideological transition, from irresponsible to accountable, is

Immediately, the commitment thesis is called into question with a drastic disparity between these two
success stories. Both Germany and Japan are modern day global superpowers, but if we are to believe
that successful nation building has common traits, the idea that the common trait is commitment can
be immediately discarded. Granted, the number of troops in Japan was still high compared to the
number in other countries, but those other countries tend to have a much smaller population than
Japan, lessening the need for a great number of troops. It would foolish to think that sending the same
number of troops for every occupation regardless of population is an effective strategy, and that is why
effort is measured in troops per thousand citizens, not total

Reducing Food Waste Of The United States
Reducing food waste in the United States requires changes in the way it is produced, stored,
processed, distributed and consumed.
In developed countries, people tend to take their food for granted. This is because there is is so much
food around us, people don t realize how much is actually wasted. People might be aware that a lot of
food is wasted in America, but they might not know how much of an impact it has on other things
such, as world hunger and the environment. The amount of water that is used in the California alone to
grow crops is greater than any other state in the US.
Reducing food waste does not take a lot of effort. All it requires is a little planning ahead. Write a list
of everything that you need at the grocery store ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For most people when they see the expiration date on the package, or whatever term is used, they
think to themselves, I cannot eat this after this date. This isn t always the case, if the food has a label
on it that says best if used by a given date, that just means that the food will not be as fresh as when it
was packaged and it might not taste as good, but it can still be eaten. People believe that the consumer
is not the biggest contributor to food waste in America, it is the restaurants and grocery stores.
According to the NRDC, Forty percent of food in America goes uneaten, and consumers are
responsible for more of that waste than grocery stores, restaurants or any other part of the supply
chain. Confusing date labels are a major contributor to consumer waste, as they are often
misinterpreted as an indicator that food could make them sick and must be tossed (3). Once again
expiration date labels on food are a major contributor to the cause of food waste. If there was a
universal label that was put on all food, it would be a lot easier to understand when food cannot be
eaten anymore. There are many side effects of food waste, one of which is it significantly contributes
to climate change. An article from the National Geographic states, The energy that goes into the

Essay On Gender Discrimination
Systemic prejudice against women of colour limits them from obtaining jobs for which they are
qualified. Sexism is a result of the historical discrimination against women in the workplace stemming
from the patriarchy. Patriarchal systems were in place and continue to be dominant in many societies
across the world, and a patriarchy is a power system of in society or the government where men hold
the power, and women are excluded. Because of this system, women have been excluded from the
workplace, but as time wore on, women began to find their place in male dominated workplaces, but
not without facing the challenges of discrimination. Gender can work alongside race to belittle the role
of women, for the study conducted by Cortina et al. (2013), found that although female women of
colour was associated with an increased risk for uncivil treatment, it was the female gender which
predicted increased exposure to incivility, regardless of race. This suggests that across different
workplace settings, there is a common prejudice held against women. Aside from the patriarchal
hierarchy, there are also structural and psychological barriers that disadvantage women in the
workplace (Cousineau Roth, 2012). In an experiment conducted at a summer camp where even when a
more nurturant environment is required, there was still a gender bias in favour of the male employees
(Cousineau Roth, 2012), which suggests people still perceive men to be qualified to take on leadership
roles even in

American Gangster Analysis
When the Vietnam War began in 1955, America changed forever. News organizations televised the
war, inducing a communal sense of disenchantment throughout America s public that led to the
popularity of the anti Vietnam movement. This anti war movement eventually developed into a
counterculture that influenced a large amount of the public to experiment with illegal substances.
President Nixon saw drug abuse as a major problem and introduced a War on Drugs that
simultaneously allowed him to target minority groups and worsen racism within the government. The
film American Gangster takes place during the 1960s, in the midst of America s chaotic drug milieu.
The film American Gangster does a wonderful job portraying America s countercultural movement,
yet falls short when portraying journalism during the Vietnam War and the negative impact of Nixon s
drug war on minorities.

Johnson (Clarence Williams III) rules drugs. Bumpy teaches his bodyguard named Frank Lucas
(Denzel Washington) everything he knows as he goes about his business, and Frank is well prepared
to take over the streets when Bumpy peacefully passes away. However, Bumpy s funeral shows Frank
that power over the drug industry is now divided amongst powerful people, and Frank is not one of
them. Frank sees these people as unfit for the job and makes a vow to take back what is his in Bumpy

Why Accountants Are Important For The Future Of...
Introduction
Accountants play a very pivotal role in the success of all businesses as they are deemed to be
foundation of business interactions (Malley, 2015). Being professional accountants they have expertise
which helps them provide quality service and advice on business matters. They increase value of
business by implementing accounting systems and rules required by any particular business and area.
Increased business profitability is another factor for which accountants are important drivers as they
provide cost effective measures and unique operating techniques.
Accounting is an old profession which has evolved significantly over time from manual bookkeeping
to complex accounting software (Caulfield, 2016). Accounting is mostly confused with just data entry
and reporting for which accounting software are available that can perform the function much quicker
and efficiently. Now a few questions do pop up in our minds as to what will be the future of
accountants with such technological advancements? How will accountants adapt themselves with
changing needs?
This report will shed light on above mentioned concerns and we will see later that future of
accountants is not really in danger. Accountants are normally mistaken with accounts preparation on
regular basis. Although they are specialized in doing that particular task but it does not mean that this
is the only task they perform as the ultimate purpose is to provide reliable information to the
management for critical

Fibroglandular Mapping
1) Uniform Mapping: This method follows the strategy presented in [11] and [24] and uses a smooth
linear mapping between the range of MRI pixel intensities in the breast interior and a range of Debye
parameters around a median baseline. The rowlabeled as average tissue in Table I summarizes the
Debye parameters for the median baseline and the corresponding dielectric constant and conductivity
at 6 GHz. The histogram of Fig. 3(a) shows the range and distribution of dielectric constants at 6 GHz
that result from applying this uniform mapping scheme to the data of Fig. 2(b) assuming a variability
of 50% about the median. This result illustrates a general feature of all three mapping schemes that

Visual inspection of the MRI image is used to determine intensity thresholds or the fatty,
fibroglandular, and transition regions in the histogram of Fig. 2(b). The intensity at which the local
peak occurs within the higher end of the intensity spectrum of Fig. 2(b) is mapped to the median
Debye parameters chosen for fatty tissue. The maximum pixel intensity within this fatty region of the
histogram is mapped to the minimum fatty tissue Debye parameters, and the minimum fatty tissue
pixel intensity is mapped to the maximum fatty tissue Debye parameters. The same process is applied
to the fibroglandular tissue region clustered at the lower end of the pixel intensity spectrum. Pixel
intensities within the transition region are mapped to Debye parameters that span the range between
the fatty maximum and fibroglandular minimum. Fig. 3(b) shows a histogram of the resulting

To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf Essay
To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf
When speaking of modernism in the work Virginia Woolf, scholars too readily use her innovations in
style and technique as the starting point for critical analysis, focusing largely on the ways in which her
prose represents a departure from the conventional novel in both style and content. To simply discuss
the extent of her unique style, however, is to overlook the role of tradition in her creation of a new
literary identity. In To the Lighthouse, Woolf s invention reveals itself instead as a reinvention, a
recasting of the conventional through the use of the traditional. Within the text, this relationship
manifests itself in Lily Briscoe s relationship with Mrs. Ramsay and the extent to which ... Show more

To the Lighthouse most appropriately fits this latter definition, where Woolf s own discourse suggests
a similar understanding of the term (Zwerdling 180). In a diary entry of 1928, Woolf notes her
reluctance to consider To the Lighthouse a novel, describing it instead as a final act of remembrance: I
used to think of him [father] and mother daily she recalled, but writing The Lighthouse laid them in
my mind. In another entry the same year, Woolf describes To the Lighthouse as a burial rite, a
cathartic elegy in which she expressed some very long felt and deeply felt emotion...and in expressing
it explained it, and then laid it to rest. Contemporary scholars of Woolf s work have similarly affirmed
the importance of the concept of elegy within To the Lighthouse, asserting as Eavan Boland does that
the true text of To the Lighthouse is undoubtedly Mrs. Ramsay, a figurative representation of Julia
Duckworth Stephen, Woolf s mother (Boland 10). In a letter sent to Woolf after reading the novel,
Vanessa Bell further reinforces Mrs. Ramsay s connection to Julia, noting that Woolf had created in
Mrs. Ramsay a portrait of mother which is more like her to me than anything I could have ever
conceived of as possible. Through Woolf s own comments as well as those familiar with her life, it

Problems Facing The World Wide Web
While flipping through the old pages of a book on Speech and Communication, my eyes caught the
following lines of Marshall McLuhan: Someday the whole world would be a global village. He was
simply referring to the idealized concept of a diverse community where people of different races and
cultures would commune together (New York of today, for example). Little did McLuhan know that
his words will one day become literal.

That men and women are on different wavelengths when it comes to communicating is probably not
news to you. However, Can We Talk? the cover story of the December issue of New Age Journal,
provides some excellent new perspectives on this age old problem. The author, Peggy Taylor,
interviewed sociolinguist Deborah Tannen, who has written a book called You Just Don t Understand:
Women and Men in Conversation. Tannen s research shows that the differences between the
communication styles of men and women go far beyond mere socialization, and appear to be inherent
in the basic make up of each sex.

The woman begins to feel that her man doesn t care about her because he won t talk to her in a way
that feels intimate.
It is important for women to understand that men s communicating is all about status. Think about all
those nature shows you ve ever seen on PBS. The prime goal of male beasties is to be able to mate; to
do this they must be powerful enough to challenge the lead males in the herd. As they grow up, they
bide their time by establishing a pecking order. When a beastie is big and strong enough to have most
of the other males under him, he is ready to take on the old man. If he wins the fight, he gets to mate
with the females of his choice (and they will mate only with him).
Tannen has found that human males behave in exactly the same way. She discussed the research of
Marjorie Goodwin, who studied boys in Philadelphia for a year and a half. She found that boys give
orders as a way of gaining social status. The high status boys gave orders just to maintain their
dominance, not because they particularly needed the thing done. And the boys who were being told
what to do were low status, by virtue of doing what they were told.
This dynamic is important to remember when looking at another major area of miscommunication
between men and women. Women cannot understand the resistance men seem to have when asked for
assistance or consideration of some kind or another. Women must remember the above scenario and
understand that, for men, doing what they

Angel Child Research Paper
Growing up, I was always considered the Angel child in my family. My parents thought of me as a kid
who could do no wrong, and always did the right thing. For most of my childhood and early teenage
years, that was correct. It was not until I met my new group of friends when starting Middle school
and entering High school that this all changed. I was introduced into the typical group of trouble
makers; at least that s what my parents would come to think. At first, it just seemed like a normal
group of friends. We would hang out, play video games and sports together; all the typical activities
that teenagers would do together. Things stayed like that up until 9th grade, when more people were

That was not enough for us however. Once we figured out that there was not much do really do

It was not until later in the night that Tyler and Josh got hungry. I did not have food that I could make
them or provide them, so we just sat there in disappointment. That was when I had the genius idea to
go out and get food somewhere. At this point, we did not know exactly how we d get there, so we
debated running there on the roads since it was late enough to where there would not be many cars on
the road, so there wasn t much of a risk. We ultimately decided we didn t want to do this, as we were
too lazy and it really was not worth it. Finally, the idea that would change everything popped into my
head; to take my mothers car and get food. The time was 11 pm when this idea was created and
developed, just two hours before my life changed. At first, we all questioned whether it would be a
good idea, and what would happen if we were caught. Multiple things went through our heads such as
if the car made too much noise starting up. As we were contemplating, our other friends starting

Effects Of Cardiac Rehabilitation On The United States Essay
Coronary artery disease is the leading cause of mortality in the United States (Hall Lorenc, 2010).
Evidence has shown that cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is beneficial for the secondary prevention of
cardiovascular disease (McLeod, Brooks, Taylor, Currie, Dewhurst, 2004; Zullo, Dolansky, Jackson,
2010). Cardiac rehabilitation is a versatile program that encroaches upon many disciplines in order to
create an optimal medical therapy that seeks to educate patients through counseling to make
behavioral changes that will improve their health status. The goal of CR is to reduce the risk of repeat
cardiac events, improve cardiovascular health, and reduce all cause mortality with the use of evidence
based guidelines (Lawler, Filion, Eisenberg, 2011; Lobelo, Stoutenberg, Hutber, 2014). Exercise
therapy is a key factor to programming. Effective training protocol that elicits a high rate of
compliance will produce positive outcomes. Although moderate intensity continuous training has been
the main training regimen recommended in cardiac rehabilitation guidelines, Ito, Mizoguchi, and
Saeki (2016) found high intensity interval training reported to be more effective in the clinical and
experimental setting from the standpoint of peak oxygen uptake and central and peripheral adaptations
in their review. This study is essential to the field of exercise science, particularly cardiac
rehabilitation (CR), because it adds to the ever evolving paradigm of program design

Establishing Therapeutic Relationships At Risk Children...
Establishing therapeutic relationships is an effective way in facilitating positive change with an
individual. It encourages both, working professionals and clients to participate in a relationship built
on respect, acceptance, trust and empathy, to name a few. Building such trusting bonds, can allow
professionals to gain a better perspective in the challenges and experiences of at risk children and
youth. In my own words, the term at risk children and youth can be defined at those experiencing far
greater risks than resilience in their most critical settings, often making their transition into adulthood
difficult. Based on the content in Trouble Youth and Children, Chapter 5 by Brendtro and Shahbazian
(2004), I will outline five key guidelines I, as a child and youth worker would use in my work with at
risk kids, when developing therapeutic relationships and extending attachment.
Discovering Commonalities The professional client relationship impacts every aspect of a child s
wellbeing. When children or youth don t feel like they are known, they are less likely to engage or
invest in the relationship. Brendtro and Shahbazian (2004) discuss finding some commonalities to
lower stranger barrier . Finding shared interests, qualities or experiences with the clientele, helps to
build trust and develop a purposeful relationship. Children and youth love to talk about themselves
and share their opinions and thoughts. Many looks for an opportunity to meet others who share

Analysis Of Matthew 22 s The Kingdom Of Heaven
Why do you suppose Jesus mentions what this man was wearing? Listen to me, everything that Jesus
says and does in the New Testament is very important! Whatever the garment is that this man has on is
a social faux pas to the celebration that he has been invited to. The rest of the parable is pretty
straightforward as Jesus describes the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of heaven is like... Remember
at the beginning of the parable, we are told that the first group that was invited to the wedding, refused
to attend. When the King heard about it, he was furious, and he sent out his armies, destroyed those
murderers, and burned up their city, Matthew 22:7 8 NKJV. The King then declared an open invitation
to everyone to attend the marriage of his son.
The parable in Matthew 22 is a profound teaching. It shows that the invitation to salvation is the same
as receiving an invitation to the wedding of the Messiah. That is why the garment that the one man
had on was such an irritation to the King. It was not so much what the man was wearing per se. It was
a heart issue! The apostle John tells us the significance of wedding garments in Revelation 19. And I
heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of
mighty thunderings saying: Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice
and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And
to her it was granted to be

Calculating And Measuring Racial Disparity
CALCULATING AND MEASURING RACIAL DISPARITY
Research focusing on the calculation of racial disparities in police outcomes has generally examined
police traffic stops and the follow up police activities, such as, citations, search and warnings. Review
of these studies suggests that calculation methods of racial disparity vary from one study to another;
however, majority of those studies employed population as a baseline measure or benchmarking
variable (Withrow, 2002; Smith Petrocelli, 2001; Withrow Williams, 2015). Early studies using
population as a baseline measure to compare disproportionate traffic stop counts found substantial
racial disparities (Lamberth, 1996; Verniero Zoubek, 1999). Studies later have begun to discuss that ...

Numbers suggest that, for instance, while Blacks compose six percent of population in St. Clayton
city, they represent 57% of overall police arrests. Similarly, the probability of Black arrest in Berkeley
(CA) and Madison (Wis) cities is nine times higher than other racial groups compared to their
corresponding population. In addition to this, Bureau of Justice statistics report that at the national
level, Blacks are two times more likely to be arrested compared to Whites. Concurring with media
reports and national statistics institutes estimates, empirical studies also report high proportion of
minority arrests compared to their representation in the population (Golub, Johnson, Dunlap, 2007).
On the other hand, others argue that disproportionality in arrest decisions is commensurate with the
racial distributions in offending rather than residential distribution in the population (D Alessio
Stolzenberg, 2003; Sampson Lauritsen, 1997). Putting it differently, proponents of this group hold that
differential involvement in crime commission leads to higher arrest rates. For this reason, employing
frequency of crime involvement as a baseline measure would yield different findings as opposed to
relying only population as a baseline measure (Golub et al., 2007).
Take an example, to calculate racial disparities in drug arrests, frequency of drug users for each race
group need to be

Key Sources Of Dietary Phenolic Compounds
Red beets are one of the pivotal sources of dietary phenolic compounds, including phenolic acids and
flavonoids (). These compounds are secondary metabolites which are essential for the plant growth
and development, provides protection against pathogens and predators and are contributors of
antioxidant, anti microbial, anti inflammatory, anti allergenic, anti thrombotic, anti atherogenic,
cardioprotective and, vasodilatory properties (Balasundram et al., 2006). The total phenolic (TPC) and
flavonoid content (TFC) content can be measured by spectrophotometric assays such as the Folin

In another study, TPC of raw red beet skin (number mg GAE/100g FW) was analyzed to be second
highest among other vegetables (Kähkönen et al., 1999). In contrast, (). The total phenolic content in
processed beet products also been studied. The total phenolics compounds in red beet juice cv. Mona
Lisa, Moronia, Redval, Agyptische Plattrunde, Forono, and Bolivar have been reported to be in the
range of 0.85 1.10 g/l (Wruss et al. 2015). Other juices Oksuz et al. (2015) studied the effect of jam
processing on red beet and reported a significant loss of about 49.9% in total phenolics (Oksuz et al.,
2015). In a similar manner, TPC values of red beet jam were found to be 86% lower than fresh sample
on dry weight basis, pickled red beet have 25% less TPC than fresh sample on wet basis and boiled
red beet did not have significant effect on fresh sample (Guldiken et al., 2016). The major drawback of
Folin Ciocalteu (FC) method is the ability to react with the reducing compounds in red beets such as
ascorbic acid and nitrogenous substances especially Dopa (3,4 dihydroxyphenylalanine), thus
providing higher values of phenolic compounds in the extract. Moreover, the main component betanin
of red beet is structurally similar to Dopa(3,4 dihydroxyphenylalanine) which may contribute to the
higher values using FC spectrometric estimation (Kugler et al., 2012).

Summary Of William Penn s Treaty With The Indians
The painting of Benjamin West s William Penn s Treaty with the Indians participates in myth, memory

more noble and peaceful relationship between European colonist and Native Americans as the colonist
continue to colonized the Native American s land. The way that the painting participates in memory
making is by letting us be able to visualize and remember the event on how the Pennsylvania colony

Renaissance composers writing more freely and being more individual then those of the Baroque era

The cello and organ provide the basso continuo, following the figured bass. The modulation in bar 10
to A major ends in a V7 I, providing strength to the piece. This differs from Sonata pian e forte which
is in the Dorian mode with lots of root position chords (bar 1 and 2) and suspensions (bar 3). The
melody is mostly stepwise and the tierce de Picarrdie in bar 4 gives a sense of balanced phrasing. This
is felt again in bar 8, due to the consonant 4th. The modal harmony in bar 13 creates an imperfect
cadence to mark the end of the A1 section. An interesting phrygian cadence (IVb V) is used in bar 16
leads into a short circle of 5ths (bar 17) and then a perfect cadence in F major with a 4 3 suspension
(bar 20). This busy ness before cadences was not uncommon, due to the very expressive works that
were composed in this era. Trio Sonata also uses engaging rhythms and harmonies, for example, the 7
6 suspension in bar 9 and the hemiola before the perfect cadence in bar 28. Corelli also uses an
inverted tonic pedal in bar 15 to create a sense of strength and anticipation before the start of the B
section. Unity of mood in Baroque is first conveyed by the continuity of rhythm. 3 This quote shows
the importance of rhythm in the Baroque era, particularly lively, driving

Sexual Exploitation Of The Police Station
I have been involved in a number of activities in my placement at Wright Chambers, mostly to do with
criminal matters rather than civil. I have accompanied Nick and a client to the Hindley Street Police

brief directions about not saying anything, even if he believed it would help his situation. At the time,
I did not know what the client was being accused of, and it turned out that it was persistent sexual
exploitation of his niece. I felt confident but somewhat wary that I had to maintain my friendly (if that

Before I end my placement, I would like to have more to do with clients before their matters reach

barrister has its limitations. The main one being that the groundwork , such as the initial interview, has
already been done prior to the matter before it reaches Nick because he is briefed by solicitors, and
sometimes by the Commonwealth or State DPP. Of course I understand the issues surrounding liability
so I cannot conduct the interviews myself, but I was disappointed to have so little do with the clients
prior to reaching trial. The extent of the client contact that I have had is the police interview, and
another occasion at the District Court in an area where the accused stayed and spoke with Nick, not at
any great length. This is something that I should have considered before deciding to do my placement
at Wright Chambers, and it s something that I regret. While I haven t had the pressure of dealing with
emotional clients, and making sure that I ve provided the correct legal advice to those clients, I have
missed out on a great opportunity for my professional development, specifically regarding client
contact. This is something that I hope to address before the end of my placement, and it is something
that I regret not having considered at any earlier

Explain Why The Government Should Change The Driving Age...
Introduction
Car crashes are one of the leading causes of death amongst teens today, and teens 16 18 have the
highest car crash rates of any age group. Currently the government is only taking precautionary
measures. Even though drivers education and written testing are good, there s more the government
can do. For such a major issue the government is doing very little to prevent it. The change begins
with education. Once people know about the issue then there s more support for government
involvement. The government should change the driving age to 18 because politically it would unify
the United States under one age and reduce car crashes.
Historical Perspective
Ever since the automobile gained its popularity in the 1920 s, car crashes have always been a risk that
came with the responsibly of driving. Starting in 1921, states began to lower the driving age to 16
from 18 according to grounded parents.com. In the time of the roaring 20 s, the addition young drivers
on the road, increase in alcohol consumption, and increase in number of automobiles purchased led to
an age of reckless driving. As shown in a photograph in the library of Congress from a 20s car crash,
Two cars are completely destroyed and one is smashed into a tree with two solemn people standing
next to it. This photograph shows the opposite of the perception of the roaring 20s. Instead of seeing
the exciting new adventures the automobile has to offer, the viewers see destruction, devastation , and
loss. Another authentic political cartoon from the 20s published by the Saint Louis Star displays the
same theme of the other side of the roaring 20s. The political cartoon shows a car ... Show more

James De The Man That Lives

James Dean: The Man That Lives On
James Dean once said, If a man can bridge the gap between life and death, I mean, if he can live on
after he s died, then maybe he was a great man. James Dean probably did not know he would be a man
that would qualify for this statement at the time it was said, but there is no doubt that he lived to
achieve it (Howlett 1). James Dean is an important American figure because he represented a powerful
character to many people, was a very popular and successful actor, and he was able to encourage a
new way of thought among a not so expressive society. Today we remember Mr.Dean as the
spontaneous character that inspired a new way of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He did however have one serious relationship towards the beginning of his career. The girl s name was
Liz Sheridan and she was engaged to James. After his engagement ended, he still managed to have
countless lovers. He was even rumored to having an affair with Marilyn Monroe. His lovers ranged
from both sexes, though he never had defined himself as bisexual (James Dean). This daringness to
oppose society was one of the Dean s most famous qualities.
James Dean was able to represent a society challenging and influential individual on and off the
screen. Yes his talent itself left many in awe, but it was more of the impact he was able to have on
people s perspectives. James s characters were easy to relate to since they all represented him quite
accurately. All three of his films were a major success. These films are east of Eden, Rebel Without a
Cause, and Giant. Even with his short life, he was nominated many times and won two awards. His
nominations included two Golden Globe awards (which he won), two BAFTA awards, and two
Academy Awards. His nominations were mostly for best actor (Awards). This was most likely because
his passion for his art really showed in his films. James really was a well trained and strict actor even
though his persona gave off a more casual and relaxed vibe. James wrote in a letter to his family:
I have made great strides in my craft. After months of auditioning, I am

  • 4. Warren G. Harding Daniel Butchen Essay # 8 The 1920 s were a time of prosperity in our country. War was over, businesses were booming, and everybody seemed to be having a good time. This was especially true for president Warren G. Harding. He was a man that enjoyed women, poker, and drinking during a time when alcohol was supposed to be illegal. More controversial was his use of liquor. Throughout his adult life Harding drank and saw nothing wrong in it. He was never personally committed to Prohibition, even though he had voted for it and, like many Americans, pretended the law did not apply to him. He was careful to serve liquor only in his private rooms in the White House and would sometimes take visitors there for that purpose. It was later claimed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This was known as the Teapot Dome Scandal . Fall was found guilty in court and was even sentenced to jail time. While this wasn t directly Harding s fault, it dealt a huge blow to his reputation. This was Harding s biggest mistake; the people he hired. Still, Harding did manage to do some damage to his own reputation with his actions. After Harding passed away a women named Nan Britton had come out publicly saying Harding had an affair with her, and had fathered her child. While it was swept under the rug successfully during his years in office, it was pretty well known that this was true. While Harding is mostly known for his scandals and inactivity, he did accomplish some things in office. He had kept a very successful watch over the budget and government spending. He had fought for civil rights and had gone into America s most racist city, Birmingham, Alabama, and delivered a key civil rights speech. However, his successes are overmatched by his scandals, and in 1923, 3 years after being elected, Harding had been through enough physically and mentally, and died while in office. He was succeeded by his vice president, Calvin Coolidge. Coolidge had a very different personality than Harding. Coolidge was a rather cold person. He spoke in a high pitched, squeaky voice and spoke as little as possible. He had a dry sense of humor and was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Psalms Requirements 1. Introduction The book of Psalms is an indispensable literature for those believers that wish to worship God in Spirit and in truth. The name Psalms originates from the Hebrew language which means praises . However, Christian worship is not limited to singing songs of praise. Biblical worship encompasses our heart s desire, our love for God. This kind of worship has been a part of every great spiritual awakening in history. Historically, the book of Psalms covers the time of Moses until the end of the exile of Israel. Although scholars consider the titles of the Psalms difficult to comprehend, they assume that the title of each Psalm explains the historical context of the biblical passage. One of the main purposes of the book of Psalms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Moreover, it is considered an essential source of God s law. Scholars assume that the psalms have been used in the cult of the second temple as a liturgical practice. According to Sigmund Mowinckel, in the past, the book of Psalms was the main hymnbook of Israel. Mowinckel affirms that the title of the book of Psalms means cultic songs of Praise and the term cultic involves worship, doctrine, and behavior. In other words, cult may be defined as the socially established and regulated holy acts and words in which the encounter and communion of the Deity with the congregation is established, developed, and brought to its ultimate goal Therefore, cult involves a relationship with God as observed in the religious life of Israel. Andrew B. McGowan agrees with the idea that the cult had a remarkable meaning for the Israelites. He sustains that ancient Christians were able to experience worship during their liturgical moments of service because those moments communicated, shared values and obedience to the Word of God. Liturgical moments will never replace the real meaning of a genuine Christian Worship. That is the reason that leads McGowan to affirm that Christian worship is not limited to liturgy but moral values. Another association between the book of Psalms and worship can be found in particular Psalms that express praise, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Summer Reflection Paper My 2016 summer was a great journey. I was engulfed with driving and traveling around with my family. During the summer my family and i bought a new lake house. So, almost every week we would drive up there. I loved it cause i got wake up to the smell of the lake. I d get to see the white fog covering the icy feeling of the lake in the morning. I really enjoyed it because when i m up there, i feel it relieves so much stress. I don t have to worry about the news or school. To me it s almost like a new world. Also, I love going out on the lake, doing tubing and more. Overall the lake is a fun place to go to get away from the rest of the world and relax. Also to spend time with family. Another big part of me being up there so much was that I eventually got to know the owners of the local marina on the lake. Eventually i got to know them so well, that i decided to apply for a job there. With a little help from my mom, i was able to fill out a form and turn it in. Before i even knew it I got the job! It was fun and a big experience for me. It was big for me because this was actually was my first official job experience, on the books. My mom actually said to me, James make sure you act like a professional when at work. You never know what life skills you might learn there. I got to work the cash register and in the kitchen, cooking foods etc. One of my favorite memories was that i got to meet new people and get introduced to their lifestyles. The other people who worked there were around the ages 16 21. It was fun because we were all teenagers and around the same age. We would talk about hanging out after work and It was a new but fun experience for me. Another thing that was cool about my job at the marina is that I could either swim or walk there in less than 5 minutes. One cool thing about working there is that every Friday and Saturday night there would be concerts at the marina and a ton of people would come. My boss would get me to serve food and beverages to the people who ordered It for the concert. Overall this part of of my summer crafted me into a hard working and dedicated kid. • 7. James Dobbins It is a known pillar of the political philosophy known as realism that might makes right , a tenet that can be traced back to Thucydides retelling of the Peloponnesian War. At its core, the saying conveys the notion that those with power can push their idea of right into fruition. However, as our society begins and continues to hold those with power accountable for their actions, an updated version of the maxim is required: might must do right. Those with power are compelled to do right by the freshly discovered strength of the little guy , and consequences can include international sanctions or even a loss of power, be it gradual or sudden. Both Germany and Japan are modern day global superpowers, but if we are to believe that successful nation building has common traits, the idea that the common trait is commitment can be immediately discarded. Granted, the number of troops in Japan was still high compared to the number in other countries, but those other countries tend to have a much smaller population than Japan, lessening the need for a great number of troops. It would foolish to think that sending the same number of troops for every occupation regardless of population is an effective strategy, and that is why effort is measured in troops per thousand citizens, not total ... • 8. Reducing Food Waste Of The United States Reducing food waste in the United States requires changes in the way it is produced, stored, processed, distributed and consumed. In developed countries, people tend to take their food for granted. This is because there is is so much food around us, people don t realize how much is actually wasted. People might be aware that a lot of food is wasted in America, but they might not know how much of an impact it has on other things such, as world hunger and the environment. The amount of water that is used in the California alone to grow crops is greater than any other state in the US. Reducing food waste does not take a lot of effort. All it requires is a little planning ahead. Write a list of everything that you need at the grocery store ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For most people when they see the expiration date on the package, or whatever term is used, they think to themselves, I cannot eat this after this date. This isn t always the case, if the food has a label on it that says best if used by a given date, that just means that the food will not be as fresh as when it was packaged and it might not taste as good, but it can still be eaten. People believe that the consumer is not the biggest contributor to food waste in America, it is the restaurants and grocery stores. According to the NRDC, Forty percent of food in America goes uneaten, and consumers are responsible for more of that waste than grocery stores, restaurants or any other part of the supply chain. Confusing date labels are a major contributor to consumer waste, as they are often misinterpreted as an indicator that food could make them sick and must be tossed (3). Once again expiration date labels on food are a major contributor to the cause of food waste. If there was a universal label that was put on all food, it would be a lot easier to understand when food cannot be eaten anymore. There are many side effects of food waste, one of which is it significantly contributes to climate change. • 9. Essay On Gender Discrimination Systemic prejudice against women of colour limits them from obtaining jobs for which they are qualified. Sexism is a result of the historical discrimination against women in the workplace stemming from the patriarchy. Patriarchal systems were in place and continue to be dominant in many societies across the world, and a patriarchy is a power system of in society or the government where men hold the power, and women are excluded. Because of this system, women have been excluded from the workplace, but as time wore on, women began to find their place in male dominated workplaces, but not without facing the challenges of discrimination. Gender can work alongside race to belittle the role of women, for the study conducted by Cortina et al. (2013), found that although female women of colour was associated with an increased risk for uncivil treatment, it was the female gender which predicted increased exposure to incivility, regardless of race. This suggests that across different workplace settings, there is a common prejudice held against women. Aside from the patriarchal hierarchy, there are also structural and psychological barriers that disadvantage women in the workplace (Cousineau Roth, 2012). In an experiment conducted at a summer camp where even when a more nurturant environment is required, there was still a gender bias in favour of the male employees (Cousineau Roth, 2012), which suggests people still perceive men to be qualified to take on leadership roles even in ... • 10. American Gangster Analysis When the Vietnam War began in 1955, America changed forever. News organizations televised the war, inducing a communal sense of disenchantment throughout America s public that led to the popularity of the anti Vietnam movement. This anti war movement eventually developed into a counterculture that influenced a large amount of the public to experiment with illegal substances. President Nixon saw drug abuse as a major problem and introduced a War on Drugs that simultaneously allowed him to target minority groups and worsen racism within the government. The film American Gangster takes place during the 1960s, in the midst of America s chaotic drug milieu. The film American Gangster does a wonderful job portraying America s countercultural movement, yet falls short when portraying journalism during the Vietnam War and the negative impact of Nixon s drug war on minorities. The Research Synopsis Part I: In the year of 1968, drugs rule the streets of Harlem, and a man named Ellsworth Bumpy Johnson (Clarence Williams III) rules drugs. Bumpy teaches his bodyguard named Frank Lucas (Denzel Washington) everything he knows as he goes about his business, and Frank is well prepared to take over the streets when Bumpy peacefully passes away. However, Bumpy s funeral shows Frank that power over the drug industry is now divided amongst powerful people, and Frank is not one of them. • 11. Why Accountants Are Important For The Future Of... Introduction Accountants play a very pivotal role in the success of all businesses as they are deemed to be foundation of business interactions (Malley, 2015). Being professional accountants they have expertise which helps them provide quality service and advice on business matters. They increase value of business by implementing accounting systems and rules required by any particular business and area. Increased business profitability is another factor for which accountants are important drivers as they provide cost effective measures and unique operating techniques. Accounting is an old profession which has evolved significantly over time from manual bookkeeping to complex accounting software (Caulfield, 2016). Accounting is mostly confused with just data entry and reporting for which accounting software are available that can perform the function much quicker and efficiently. Now a few questions do pop up in our minds as to what will be the future of accountants with such technological advancements? How will accountants adapt themselves with changing needs? This report will shed light on above mentioned concerns and we will see later that future of accountants is not really in danger. Accountants are normally mistaken with accounts preparation on regular basis. Although they are specialized in doing that particular task but it does not mean that this is the only task they perform as the ultimate purpose is to provide reliable information to the management for critical ... Fibroglandular Mapping 1) Uniform Mapping: This method follows the strategy presented in [11] and [24] and uses a smooth linear mapping between the range of MRI pixel intensities in the breast interior and a range of Debye parameters around a median baseline. The rowlabeled as average tissue in Table I summarizes the Debye parameters for the median baseline and the corresponding dielectric constant and conductivity at 6 GHz. The histogram of Fig. 3(a) shows the range and distribution of dielectric constants at 6 GHz that result from applying this uniform mapping scheme to the data of Fig. 2(b) assuming a variability of 50% about the median. The maximum pixel intensity within this fatty region of the histogram is mapped to the minimum fatty tissue Debye parameters, and the minimum fatty tissue pixel intensity is mapped to the maximum fatty tissue Debye parameters. The same process is applied to the fibroglandular tissue region clustered at the lower end of the pixel intensity spectrum. Pixel intensities within the transition region are mapped to Debye parameters that span the range between the fatty maximum and fibroglandular minimum. • 13. To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf Essay To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf When speaking of modernism in the work Virginia Woolf, scholars too readily use her innovations in style and technique as the starting point for critical analysis, focusing largely on the ways in which her prose represents a departure from the conventional novel in both style and content. To simply discuss the extent of her unique style, however, is to overlook the role of tradition in her creation of a new literary identity. In To the Lighthouse, Woolf s invention reveals itself instead as a reinvention, a recasting of the conventional through the use of the traditional. Within the text, this relationship manifests itself in Lily Briscoe s relationship with Mrs. Ramsay and the extent to which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To the Lighthouse most appropriately fits this latter definition, where Woolf s own discourse suggests a similar understanding of the term (Zwerdling 180). In a diary entry of 1928, Woolf notes her reluctance to consider To the Lighthouse a novel, describing it instead as a final act of remembrance: I used to think of him [father] and mother daily she recalled, but writing The Lighthouse laid them in my mind. In another entry the same year, Woolf describes To the Lighthouse as a burial rite, a cathartic elegy in which she expressed some very long felt and deeply felt emotion...and in expressing it explained it, and then laid it to rest. Contemporary scholars of Woolf s work have similarly affirmed the importance of the concept of elegy within To the Lighthouse, asserting as Eavan Boland does that the true text of To the Lighthouse is undoubtedly Mrs. Ramsay, a figurative representation of Julia Duckworth Stephen, Woolf s mother (Boland 10). In a letter sent to Woolf after reading the novel, Vanessa Bell further reinforces Mrs. Ramsay s connection to Julia, noting that Woolf had created in Mrs. Ramsay a portrait of mother which is more like her to me than anything I could have ever conceived of as possible. You Just Don Y Understand You Just Don t Understand by Deborah Tannen, Ph.D. William Morrow and Company, 1990 Reviewed by Laura Morrison That men and women are on different wavelengths when it comes to communicating is probably not news to you. However, Can We Talk? the cover story of the December issue of New Age Journal, provides some excellent new perspectives on this age old problem. The author, Peggy Taylor, interviewed sociolinguist Deborah Tannen, who has written a book called You Just Don t Understand: Women and Men in Conversation. Tannen s research shows that the differences between the communication styles of men and women go far beyond mere socialization, and appear to be inherent in the basic make up of each sex. It is important for women to understand that men s communicating is all about status. Think about all those nature shows you ve ever seen on PBS. The prime goal of male beasties is to be able to mate; to do this they must be powerful enough to challenge the lead males in the herd. As they grow up, they bide their time by establishing a pecking order. When a beastie is big and strong enough to have most of the other males under him, he is ready to take on the old man. If he wins the fight, he gets to mate with the females of his choice (and they will mate only with him). Tannen has found that human males behave in exactly the same way. She discussed the research of Marjorie Goodwin, who studied boys in Philadelphia for a year and a half. She found that boys give orders as a way of gaining social status. The high status boys gave orders just to maintain their dominance, not because they particularly needed the thing done. And the boys who were being told what to do were low status, by virtue of doing what they were told. This dynamic is important to remember when looking at another major area of miscommunication between men and women. Women cannot understand the resistance men seem to have when asked for assistance or consideration of some kind or another. Women must remember the above scenario and understand that, for men, doing what they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 17. Angel Child Research Paper Growing up, I was always considered the Angel child in my family. My parents thought of me as a kid who could do no wrong, and always did the right thing. For most of my childhood and early teenage years, that was correct. It was not until I met my new group of friends when starting Middle school and entering High school that this all changed. I was introduced into the typical group of trouble makers; at least that s what my parents would come to think. At first, it just seemed like a normal group of friends. That was when I had the genius idea to go out and get food somewhere. At this point, we did not know exactly how we d get there, so we debated running there on the roads since it was late enough to where there would not be many cars on the road, so there wasn t much of a risk. We ultimately decided we didn t want to do this, as we were too lazy and it really was not worth it. Finally, the idea that would change everything popped into my head; to take my mothers car and get food. The time was 11 pm when this idea was created and developed, just two hours before my life changed. At first, we all questioned whether it would be a good idea, and what would happen if we were caught. Multiple things went through our heads such as if the car made too much noise starting up. As we were contemplating, our other friends starting texting in the group chat seeing if anyone wanted to sneak out and do anything since their parents were asleep as well. Evidence has shown that cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is beneficial for the secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease (McLeod, Brooks, Taylor, Currie, Dewhurst, 2004; Zullo, Dolansky, Jackson, 2010). Cardiac rehabilitation is a versatile program that encroaches upon many disciplines in order to create an optimal medical therapy that seeks to educate patients through counseling to make behavioral changes that will improve their health status. The goal of CR is to reduce the risk of repeat cardiac events, improve cardiovascular health, and reduce all cause mortality with the use of evidence based guidelines (Lawler, Filion, Eisenberg, 2011; Lobelo, Stoutenberg, Hutber, 2014). Exercise therapy is a key factor to programming. Effective training protocol that elicits a high rate of compliance will produce positive outcomes. Although moderate intensity continuous training has been the main training regimen recommended in cardiac rehabilitation guidelines, Ito, Mizoguchi, and Saeki (2016) found high intensity interval training reported to be more effective in the clinical and experimental setting from the standpoint of peak oxygen uptake and central and peripheral adaptations in their review. The rest of the parable is pretty straightforward as Jesus describes the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of heaven is like... Remember at the beginning of the parable, we are told that the first group that was invited to the wedding, refused to attend. When the King heard about it, he was furious, and he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city, Matthew 22:7 8 NKJV. The King then declared an open invitation to everyone to attend the marriage of his son. The parable in Matthew 22 is a profound teaching. It shows that the invitation to salvation is the same as receiving an invitation to the wedding of the Messiah. That is why the garment that the one man had on was such an irritation to the King. It was not so much what the man was wearing per se. It was a heart issue! The apostle John tells us the significance of wedding garments in Revelation 19. And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings saying: Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! In addition to this, Bureau of Justice statistics report that at the national level, Blacks are two times more likely to be arrested compared to Whites. Concurring with media reports and national statistics institutes estimates, empirical studies also report high proportion of minority arrests compared to their representation in the population (Golub, Johnson, Dunlap, 2007). On the other hand, others argue that disproportionality in arrest decisions is commensurate with the racial distributions in offending rather than residential distribution in the population (D Alessio Stolzenberg, 2003; Sampson Lauritsen, 1997). Putting it differently, proponents of this group hold that differential involvement in crime commission leads to higher arrest rates. For this reason, employing frequency of crime involvement as a baseline measure would yield different findings as opposed to relying only population as a baseline measure (Golub et al., 2007). Introduction Car crashes are one of the leading causes of death amongst teens today, and teens 16 18 have the highest car crash rates of any age group. Currently the government is only taking precautionary measures. Even though drivers education and written testing are good, there s more the government can do. For such a major issue the government is doing very little to prevent it. The change begins with education. Once people know about the issue then there s more support for government involvement. The government should change the driving age to 18 because politically it would unify the United States under one age and reduce car crashes. Starting in 1921, states began to lower the driving age to 16 from 18 according to grounded parents.com.
