With the progression of globalization, the recognition of how to be a good citizen and how to act as a

education shifts from the knowledge and skills dissemination to building global values to be well
connected in the world. This paper aims to indicate multiple understandings of citizenship and
specifically interprets three dimensions of citizenship: citizenship as a status, as a practice and as a
feeling. Besides, understandings about global citizenship will be explored as well. Last but not the
