This document analyzes a continuous beam using four different structural analysis methods: slope deflection, moment distribution, Kani's method, and stiffness matrix method. The bending moments calculated from each method are compared. It is found that the bending moment results from all four methods are nearly the same. The moment distribution method is considered the most accurate because it involves more iterations compared to the other methods. In conclusion, the moment distribution method is preferable for analyzing this type of continuous beam problem.
