This paper presents an improved method for tone mapping high dynamic range (HDR) images to low dynamic range (LDR) displays, addressing the limitations of conventional display devices that struggle to show the full dynamic range of real-world scenes. The authors employed a global tone mapping operator with an averaging technique and logarithmic intensity values to efficiently convert multiple exposure images into a single HDR image, which is then processed to fit within an 8-bit LDR format. The results demonstrate that this method can effectively maintain image details and color information across a variety of exposures.
