to emphasize the insignificance and absurdity of certain rules within Victorian
society. The main characters in the play characterize Victorian high society; therefore,
the criticism that arises from Wilde s exaggeration extends further than the play itself.
More specifically, Wilde exaggerates the consumption of food, something that seems
to be routine in everyday life. Wilde plays on this theme of presenting such an
ordinary event as an emotionally moving experience. He does this by making a
connection between the presentation of food and a characters feeling of emotion that
is unusual during the Victorian society.
During the Victorian society, it was considered disrespectful for members of the
upper classes of society to show conflicting and personal feelings. In public, any
kind of overbearing emotions needed to be prevented in order to maintain proper
appropriateness. In response to these societal rules, Oscar Wilde uses the characters
exaggeration of their food intake to represent the emotions that they are unable to
show. By using food to mask and restrain unpleasant feelings like lust, aggression,

Some things we have can be control but, not others. We try our best to control
others, but not all of them we cannot control. Things we control are opinion like

drinking and he expresses his despair to two drinking friends in a bar. Phil asks
them What if there were no tomorrow? One guy answers That would mean there

wanted. At first Phil responds with confusion because he thinks he is immortal or
god. So, he wants to test it by risks his life by eating a lot of junk food, stealing

appropriate law enforcement, underage individuals are still able to access alcohol in
many areas. In a recent study, underage males successfully purchased packaged beer

New York, and 44 percent in Albany/Schenectady Counties in New York. A similar
study found that underage youth were refused alcohol sales in only one third of 100
establishments tested in eight sights across the United States (Wagenaar and Wolfson
38). It is believe that this perceived leniency in the enforcement creates an
environment that enables binge drinking among those that are underage. Those in
favor of lowering the drinking age also claim that social norms play a major role in
perception of alcohol, which is believe to end in the justification of binge drinking.

These figures probably come as no surprise by current market standards and
expectations; however, these figures also suggest and demonstrate an important
shift in the US auto industry in general. No more are the days of the Big Three and

This was the beginning of society s change of perspective towards the war. In
1970, 3 Moratorium Movement had taken place in Australia. The first Moratorium
Movement was held in May, over 200 000 people all over Australia marched in it.
Luckily this was a peaceful protest; the government didn t take much action
towards stopping the march. The second Vietnam Moratorium that took place in
September that year but unlike the first movement it was a lot smaller and
violence occurred, 200 people were arrested in Sydney alone. This movement first

2.1. Brand Awareness
The first step, is establishing brand identity by creating awareness, or brand
salience, amongst customers (Aaker, 2009; Keller, 2003). It is the strength of the
presence of a brand in the minds of customers (Pappu et al., 2005), and is not only
the customers ability to both recognize and recall a particular brand, but also
involves associating the brand to certain memories (Keller, 2003).
At this stage, it is hence crucial to fulfil two aspects of brand awareness: the depth,
and the breath. Depth refers to the ease of recognition and recall experienced by the

the other hand, the breadth represents the range of situations and settings during
