1. Observation Essay Samples
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Observation Essay Samples" presents a unique set of
challenges that may seem daunting to many writers. The difficulty lies not only in conveying
one's observations effectively but also in maintaining a balance between descriptive elements and
analytical insights. This type of essay requires keen observational skills, the ability to articulate
details vividly, and the capacity to draw meaningful conclusions from the observations.
The process begins with selecting a compelling subject for observation, a task that demands
careful consideration to ensure there is enough material to analyze and discuss. The writer must
immerse themselves in the chosen environment, paying close attention to details that might go
unnoticed by others. The challenge is to capture the essence of the observed scene, event, or
phenomenon in a way that resonates with the reader.
Furthermore, organizing the essay becomes a complex task. Balancing descriptive passages with
reflective and analytical components is crucial. The writer must avoid the trap of merely listing
observations without providing deeper insights. This requires a thoughtful approach to structure,
ensuring a logical flow of ideas and a clear progression from observation to analysis.
Additionally, finding the right tone can be challenging. The writer must strike a balance between
objectivity and subjectivity, providing a personal perspective without allowing bias to
overshadow the observations. This delicate equilibrium requires careful consideration of language
choices and a keen awareness of the potential impact on the reader.
In conclusion, composing an essay on "Observation Essay Samples" demands a unique set of
skills, including keen observation, effective communication, and insightful analysis. The writer

2. Canada s Unique Business Culture Essay
Canada has unique cultural values, beliefs, and business practices that is different
from other international markets. Firms must research a country s values, beliefs,
and business practices prior to entry and prior to developing a marketing plan. For
example, Canadian s are well known for their accents and love of hockey. If Henry
Inc. ran a commercial which dictated Americans making fun of Canadian s accents
and love of hockey more than likely the ad with receive a negative response and
offend numerous Canadians. Henry Inc. would receive backlash about the ad and
lose consumer confidence. In this section, I will discuss culture, values, beliefs, and

Business communication is quite direct in Canada; there will be no need for you
to decipher and read into messages. Emails and telephone calls should also be
direct and succinct (Doing Business in Canada, n.d.). Not only are Canadians
expected to be direct, they also expect to heard and listened to regardless of their
rank and status. Business usually operates from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to
Friday with meetings being held first thing in the morning. Canada is officially
bilingual in French and English be prepared to use these languages in meetings. An
interpreter might be required (Doing Business in Canada, n.d.). It should be noted
Canadians consider it rude to speak in a foreign language in the presence of other
people who do not understand the language. Prior to business meetings, Canadians
enjoy small talk about sports or general topics, however todays translations advise
to avoid conversation about conflicts with the French and comparing Canada to the
U.S (Doing Business in Canada, n.d.). Business meeting dress code is conservative
with Canadians dress according to the weather. Punctuality is a priority for business
meetings and it s considered rude to decline an invitation out for drinks unless you

3. The Democracy And Human Rights
For as long as it has existed, the Chinese government has been power hungry, They
have limited the freedom of citizens so that they can make the decisions themselves,
such as not allowing citizens to vote for government officials. Instead, officials are
simply appointed by others in government. Citizens want reform, protests have
occurred across the country for change to a democratic system so that citizens can
finally elect the people that represent them. This would give citizens more power,
but as result, take some away from the government, which they do not want. The
Chinese government needs to listen to their citizens and change to a democratic
system to give them more freedom and make them happier. The status of democracy
and human rights in China is not where it could be. Both are limited in the
following ways. According to Noah Berlatsky, China s government is authoritarian
and undemocratic. Leaders are for the most part appointed and not elected. Media in
China are regulated, and protest against the government is strictly limited
(Berlatsky). This means that the citizens of China do not have the ability to
influence who is elected. The already appointed government officials decide and
appoint others. The Chinese government also strictly limits protesting. There is a
popular practice known as Falun Gong, which includes exercises and the study of
several books. This was founded by Li Hongzhi in 1992, and by 1998, it had 70
million practitioners. The Chinese

Before a student can even begin to understand how to read expository content within
a text book, they must first begin to read meaningfully and they reasons behind why
they read. Reading is not just for entertainment, it is also used to acquire information.
Reading any form of text opens its audience, the reader, to the world without them
having to buy a plane ticket or putting them in dangerous situations to gain firsthand
experience (content within storybooks or novels). Reading opens one s cognitive eye

For example, this strategy could b used to teach a history or literature class, where
students are put into groups, assigned a character or historical figure, and using text
and other resources, research the person they are demonstrating and make direct
quotes from what they have done or said. They present it to their fellow classmates;
there each student takes an active role in gathering information to be displayed.
Introducing conflicting thought: Teacher presents students with a scenario that goes
contrary to what they have previously learnt, ask them to research the following to
discredit either what was learnt or what was now presented to them. For example,
this strategy could be used in Science, where the teacher states the sky is not blue, or
that colours that we see are not their actual colours, this could be done while teaching
the topic of light. Introducing such scenarios causes disequilibrium and students seek
the need (through research) to discredit it. Project based assessment: here students
are given topics to review and present. The teacher provides a hotlist (a list of
resource books) where they are to gather information and organize it to present orally
or otherwise. This strategy could be used in teaching Studies Studies under any
scheme of work, for instance, in teaching about the
5. Theme Of Sexuality In Songs Of Innocence And Of
Experience...
As a forerunner to the free love movement, late eighteenth century poet, engraver,
and artist, William Blake (1757 1827), has clear sexual overtones in many of his
poems, and he layers his work with sexual double entendres and symbolism. Within
the discussion of sexuality in his work Songs of Innocence and of Experience, Blake
seems to take a complicated view of women. His speakers use constructs of
contraries, specifically innocence/ experience and male/female. Of the latter sex, he
experiments with the passive (dependent, docile, virtuous) and active (independent,
evil, a threat to the masculine) female subjects. Blake s use of personification
specifically of nature and botany suggest the use of nature to discuss human society.

lyrics involve the personification of flowers. Often characterized for their
delicateness and beauty, symbolizing love, and female sexuality, Blake uses botany
to again establish a sense of sexual relationship within the poem. My Pretty Rose
Tree is constructed in two heroic quatrains written with an ABAB ACAC rhyme
scheme. The speaker describes their temptation in being offered another flower
(opportunity or other woman) as well as their protestation that he has his own
pretty rose tree (Blake, Rose Tree 3) and does not need another. The outcome of his
fidelity personifies the already feminized and objectified rose tree as jealous and
dependent on the speaker for tend[ing] (6). In the trees jealousy, she only provides
her barren thorns (8) for the speaker s efforts in which he states is his only delight
(8). Suggesting that the only delight a woman is capable of is the physical
appearance. The thorns take on the Biblical symbolism of the crown of thorns in
which Jesus wears up to his crucifixion to cause him pain and to mock his claim for
authority. Similarly, the rose tree mocks the speaker s possessive authority over her

7. Pros And Disadvantages Of Social Networking
Social networking software could be considered to be a boon to the internet as it is
a tool that effectively helps in increasing the traffic to a site. There are many types
of social networking software available on the net, and the choice of the best
software for your site depends solely on your needs on your site.
Basically, social software refers to numerous web enabled software programs that let
users to interact and share video and audio data with other users of the site. Presently,
this software is found in the popular sites like MySpace and YouTube. These sites
helped provide sufficient advertisement for the software to create billion dollar
purchases of the software and communities by large corporations. Google ended up
buying YouTube and News Corp, MySpace.
The design of social networking sites on the site reflects the characteristics of real
life social networks that are designed to let social network analysis work following a
compatible database. Links are created between users which are persistent as the user

too. The interactive tools handle all interactions that take place between a pair or
group of users.

Some don t know that this field itself uses physics, a lot. A specific career that often
uses kinematics is a Mechanical Engineer. The field requires such precision in
building the interior or exterior of the machine the engineer is designing, that the
engineer needs to be as precise as possible with his calculations. Mechanical engineers
are often interacting with the distribution of power. They create machines that can
benefit humans or benefit the environment such as electric generations, engines,

Since the profession was recognized many concerns arose regarding the values and

The CSWE ensures that social workers are educated and competent in the field of
social work. It serves as a guideline for social work educators. The (CSWE) uses the
Educational Policy Act Standards (EPAS) to accredit baccalaureate and master s
level social work programs. EPAS supports academic excellence by establishing
thresholds for professional competence (CSWE, 2015).
Social Work Values and Ethics4 Ethical issues in general, regardless of the
profession or field one is in are inevitable. Social workers understand the value base
of the profession and its value base of the profession and its ethical standards, as
well as relevant laws and regulations that may impact practice at the micro and
macro level (Segal, 2016). Although social workers are trained and understand
ethical standards does not prevent them to one day face ethical issues. According
to (Reamer, 2014) we have embarked on a new period, one which few of us, he
suspected, could have anticipated. Today s social workers can provide services
online or via video counseling or text messages to clients they never meet in person.
They may receive Facebook friend request from clients or former clients that lead to
boundary challenges. These boundary challenges as Reamer categorizes them are
part of what he calls the Digital period. Issues steadily arise even among segments of
the population that one would expect to

The modern human being s life is continuously flooded by advertising. Ads surround
society in everything a person does, from watching television to listening to the
radio, or even walking down the street. These advertisements range from celebrity
promotions to home goods products and everything in between, all for the sake of
convincing people to pick their product over another competitors product. When a
deeper look is taken at these advertisements, one will find that they are not merely
just selling a car or a box of cereal. In actuality, companies along with their product,

Hyundai not only focuses on where their ad will be placed but they also focus on
who their audience will be. Sports Illustrated reaches the particular audience of male
sports fans, of which most can be placed into the upper and middle social classes.
For the purpose of this advertisement, Hyundai specifically targeted football fans,
especially NFL fans. Since the majority of the subscribers are in the upper and
middle class, due to their ability to afford the expense of the magazine, they are able
to spend their money on more luxurious items such as a car. Therefore, a car
advertisement is reasonable considering the audience s demographics. Considering
the readers interests and social class Hyundai s placement of their advertisement in
Sports Illustrated has rational because of its placement and its ability to connect with
a certain audience.
To sell a product companies will use certain colors to evoke particular emotions from
their targeted audience. Hyundai s uses different shades of grey and black throughout
their advertisement, including a black model of the car and a grey and black
sky. When used in advertising, black normally represents sophistication or luxury,
while grey is typically a neutral or calm color (Ciotti). Therefore, the color black
will make readers more likely to interpret the 2012 Hyundai Genesis R Spec as a
luxurious and sophisticated car. The incorporation of grey

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 (MH17) crash on 17th July 2014 and its after effects. It
also takes into account the responsibilities of the International Civil Aviation
Organization (ICAO) as well the roles of non ICAO agencies such as the Dutch
Safety Board (DSB) and the Trilateral Contact Group. The purpose of this report is
to provide the reader with a clear view of the events that unfolded during and after
the crash of MH17 including the subsequent investigation, results and possible
consequences on the industry. All the information presented has been collected
through credible sources, including news archives, ICAO and government
publications. First, the crash will be outlined with all major details known at this
point. The roles of all agencies involved will be put forth as well. Second, results
from the preliminary report released by the DSB, the primary investigation agency,
will be defined along with future steps that remain to be taken. Third, current
progressions related to the event will be discussed. Next, the crash and investigation
will be examined with respect to ICAO standards, namely the ICAO convention,
Annex 12 (Search and Rescue) and Annex 13 (Aircraft Accident and Incident

14. Female Athletes As Role Models For The Sports Industry
Female athletes do not get paid as much as they deserve for the work they execute
for the sports industry. Female athletes do so much for the sports industry that is not
appreciated. They are good role models for adolescent girls to be confident in
themselves and to get involved in sports and activities outside or at school. Female
athletes also produce profit for the industry as well as earn money from endorsements
just as maleathletes do. Although people may state that female athletes lack in
many different factors, female athletes are good role models for their young
viewers, they are the driving force that generates most of the revenue for the teams
federation, and they portray the equal amount of work that the male athletes do
and therefore, should receive the same payment. Peer pressure and self esteem are
two things girls are struggling with in today s day and age, but female athletes
encourage girls to get involved in sports in order to clear up some stresses they
might be having. Female athletes promote confidence and strength which helps
adolescent girls understand that these things are key to being a successful person
in life. Experts state that by the age of 12, girls are 6 times more likely to drop out
of playing sports than boys because girls do not receive as many positive
reinforcements about their sports participation as boys. Female athletes can improve
and change the behavior of the girls so that they will have confidence and feel like
they want to

professionalism in daily performance leads to improved performance in the future
because of repetitive conduct during classes. If a dancer consistently puts forth the
effort to work hard and focus in class, they are more likely to adopt these concepts
into their everyday lifestyle and develop their talent more. Famous ballerinas such as

stakeholders to commit on pre study results.
A Development phase (that may consist of different iterations and technical reviews)
in which technical solutions are defined, software coding is implemented, validation
and verification activities are performed, requirements are traced and project plans
are monitored.
When completed, an end of development review is held with all project stakeholders
to make sure that the software meets customer/market requirements with the expected
level of quality.
Then the software is delivered to customers and to the teams in charge of maintaining
it, through an Acceptance phase. In that phase, Customers will check that the
software meets its requirements and maintenance resources will make sure they have
all items and skills to maintain the software. This phase is ended by an end of
Acceptance review to officially transfer the software.
Then, the software enters the Maintenance phase that may last for years, in which
critical defects are fixed, if any.
Those cycles are encapsulated in a general framework called Product Life Cycle
(PLC) in which senior management make decisions on products. PLC framework is

17. The Obligation to Endure Essay
The discovery of agriculture was the first big step toward a civilized life. (Arthur
Keith) Civilization began with agriculture, and agriculture continues to be an integral
part of our lives. Civilization brought knowledge, knowledge brought technology, and
technology brought chemicals and pesticides to improve our world. The Obligation
to Endure is an excerpt from Rachel Carson s Silent Spring, a passionate and
masterful work on the results of civilization s efforts to control pests and insects.
These effects include destruction of the environment, alteration of gene structures in
plants and animals, water contamination, and an upset of nature s delicate balance.

Structure of Major Arguments Carson s primary argument is that the ecosystem is
unable to adjust and rebalance itself due to the rapidity of the introduction of
chemicals into the environment. She points to the common knowledge that it took
hundreds of millions of years for life to evolve to its current state. She goes on to
explain how, given time (eons), the environment adjusted to natural dangers such as
radiation emitted from certain rocks and short wave radiation from the sun, but that
it is impossible for the earth to adjust and rebalance in the face of man made threats
in the relative miniscule timeframe of decades. Her appeal is both logical and
emotional. Logically, chemicals sprayed on croplands, forests or gardens will kill not
just pests but other living organisms, and that some amount of these chemicals will
end up in ground water, causing problems for anyone or anything that depends on
this water. Emotionally if the possibility of permanent gene damage, which cause
deformities, cancers, and early death, is not enough to encourage a second look at
this issue then there is no hope for the planet s future. Carson s next argument is that
the volume of new chemicals coming on the market each year, the universal use of
these chemicals on farms, gardens, forests, and homes, and the lack of information on
the short or long term effect of these
18. Satan In Paradise Lost
Milton s Paradise Lost may be the most boring text ever written, but within all of
that bore there is a pretty dinamic and handsome character that make it interesting,
not necessarily easier to read nor less boring, but definitely more interesting. Though
it may come as a surprise for most that character is Satan. Milton depicts his Satan as
a physically attractive character, in order to win the hearts of his audience. Through
sympathy, hotness, and political diplomacy Satan becomes the anti hero of Milton s
classical epic Paradise Lost. Satan is the classic narcissist, he wants everyone to feel
bad for him, and everything was his idea; in Milton s Paradise Lost Satan is made
out to be the anti hero because he gains the sympathies of the audience. Satan,
previously called Lucifer, wants to think that everything that happens to him in

20. Examples Of Man By Nature Is Evil And Evil
Man by nature is evil and sinner. If we take a look with our history or past,
mankind committed a lot of evil acts. There were many manifestations that man by
nature is evil. For example, the occurrence of war which slayed numerous innocent
individuals, the existence of crime and nefarious activities. Look around you.
Look at every people. Look beyond what our eyes can see. What can we picture
out? Their heart that is full of greed, full of lies and full of the desires to take
revenge. That is how man live. We lived life with full of sins because man is born a
sinner. Mankind in this day and age constantly has wars to keep funding themselves.
We rape, we kill each other with guns, and we are completely selfish. We use human
beings as property or the so called human trafficking , we have the resources
necessary to help everyone in the world, but we choose to follow our own selfish
needs instead. There is confusion and lies everywhere, especially on the television

Formative Assessment
Formative assessment is often embedded at intervals the academic method. However
maybe useful thanks to formative assessment is that it s given throughout instruction.
Formative assessment confirms what, wants or topics have to be compelled to be
addressed next with a student. A formative assessmentnot solely includes tests
associate degreed schoolwork however also can be an interactive method within the
classroom. As an example, open discussions within the learning environment. Open
class discussions can provide the educator with input on student s math learning and
development. Such as Examination, examination shows that descriptive feedback is a
valuable element of the formative assessment method. Stating to youngsters what
specifically they did well, together with links to different resources and specific
suggestions for improvement, will facilitate them reach consecutive level of learning.
(The State of Queensland [Department of Education and Training], 2016).
There are three approaches to formative assessments:
Planning: sorting out wherever the students square measure at, in order that the
teacher will begin at an acceptable place, sorting out however this explicit cluster of
student s best learn.
Student feedback: thus student s acumen they re progressing through the educational
method. Express feedback from the teacher will give info on what the student is
doing that s effective and also the next step within the learning method.

Out of the eight planets in our solar system, Earth is the only planet circling the
Sun on which life as we know it could (and does) exist. Unlike any other planet, the
Earth has vast oceans with millions of small islands in them, green vegetation,
huge landmasses, different topographies, like the mountains, ice caps and deserts,
all of which present an amazing variety of color and texture. be the extremely cold
Antarctica, where hardy microscopic beings thrive in ponds, tiny wingless insects
live in patches of moss and lichen, and plants grow and flower yearly or the
extremely warm desert of Sahara plants such as date palms and acacia put down
long roots to reach life sustaining water or often the seeds of flowering plants
sprout quickly after a rain and complete their growing cycle and producing seeds in
a matter of days, before the soil dries out, one can find some form of life other in
almost every ecological niche on earth. From the outer layers of the atmosphere to
the deep sea beds at the bottom of the oceans and from the coldest poles to the
warmest equator, life thrives here. Till date, no convincingly true evidence of life
has been found on any planet. [1] While the Earth has been around for 4.6 billion
years and our ancestors have been around for about six million years, the modern
form of humans is claimed to have evolved only about 200,000 years ago. The
present civilization it is only about six thousand years old, and the industrialization

Truman s policy of containment was the idea of containing communism in areas
where it was expanding. Truman asked Congress to give a helping hand to Greece
and Turkey because they were starting to spiral into communism. After a while the
threat was gone so good on Harry Truman. An economical aspect of this policy
would be the fact we gave Greece and Turkey in total 400 million dollars which
economically assisted them. A political aspect of this policy would be the fact we
ended the spread of communismin these two countries. A cultural aspect of this was
the fact Turkey and Greece hadn t been completely switched over to communism.

Well, this is one of the most straightforward circumstances to maintain a strategic

To know whether the obstruct is unclogged you will either have enough water in
the bowl. It will leave quickly as if you simply flushed it or you have to fill the
toilet with water while holding the plunger over the gap, you at that point expel the
plunger, and the water will quickly leave the bowl, the key is to have the water
sufficiently high to leave the bowl. If you pull the plunger far from the gap and the
water just stays there then set the plunger back in and cover the opening. This time
top the bowl off to the base of the edge and after that evacuate the plunger if the
water quickly leaves then you have unclogged the toilet if not it is as yet stopped up,
and you have to continue diving until the point when it does. All the time is keeping
enough water in the bowl to compel it through the obstruct.
Doing the unclogging the way it was recently clarified the toilet would never flood
since you are controlling the measurement of water entering the bowl, utilizing the
handle you can t control the water entering the bowl.
Endeavoring to flush and hold the flapper down is too unsafe as is stopping the

Where does all the plastic go. Every bit of plastic that has been created is still here.
This is because plastic is one hundred percent non biodegradable! Even the most
degraded plastic down to polymers cannot be digested by bacteria (Laist, 1997). If
global issues like starvation and climate change are not enough to stress on, the
weight of an issue literally churning in the Pacific Oceanis startling. For decades the
majority of the world s population has not been properly educated on the nature of

Due to their regurgitation ability; most studies have focused on the ingestion of
plastic pollution by bird, this does little harm to birds used in the studies. The
effects of ingestible plastic on fish have not been studied as thoroughly and no
studies have been conducted on filter feeding organisms, which do not possess a
feeding mechanism which would allow them to distinguish between plastic and
plankton. Plastic pollution is only getting worse due to increasing population of
developing countries. A wide variety of marine species is known to be harmed by
plastic debris. This could threaten the survival of certain species, especially since
many are sadly endangered by other types of anthropogenic actions.
Plastic debris pollution in the marine environment is greatest in oceanographic
convergences and eddies, where plastic bits accumulate (Day 1986). Gyres make
up a large proportion, approximately seventy five percent, of what we refer to as the
open ocean, or the area of the ocean that does not consist of coastal areas. Gyres are
an area of junction that forces plastic into a central area with little to no wind and
current influence. In oceanography, a subtropical gyre is a connected system of
ocean currents rotating clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and counterclockwise
in the Southern. Typically they form in large open ocean areas. A large volume of

27. College Bikes Advantages And Disadvantages
These days, bicycles are becoming an increasingly popular form of transportation
on many United States college campuses. College students across the nation seem
to have found considerable value in using bikes to get from point A to point B on
campus. However, once their bike has a flat tire or loose handlebars, it becomes
inconvenient to ride anymore without properly fixing their bike. The issue is that if
something happens on campus and they do not have the ability to fix their bike, it
requires them to go out to a bike shop or such to buy the necessary tools. College
students do not bring repair tools with them from home because that is not something
you think about packing when moving into a new room with limited space. There
are students who do not have the extra cash to spare on buying repair tools and some
students do not have any other form of transportation besides their bike. I believe that
if Kansas State Universityallowed bike repair stations to be placed near the Student
Union, Hale Library, and Derby Residence Halls area, it can help encourage more
students to ride their bikes on campus. Without them fearing of what to do if their
bike breaks down and reduce the number of forgotten bicycles on bike racks
throughout campus.

30. Repentance Of Sinners In The Parable Of The Lost Sheep
How is Luke s claim on repentance of sinners in the Parable of the Lost Sheep being
illustrated by the differences in detail found, in comparison to the Gospels of
Matthew and Thomas?
The Parable of the Lost Sheep is one of the many parables Jesus gave during his
lifetime. It is found in the two canonical gospels: Matthew 18:10 14 and Luke 15:3
10. It is also found in the non canonical gospel of Thomas 107. It is about a shepherd
who leaves his flock of ninety nine sheep behind to go look for the one sheep that is
lost. This context is similar in all of the three Gospels.
However, although there are similarities, there are also differences. These
differences have an implication for the message grasped by the readers. The focus
will be on the repentance of sinners claimed in the Gospel of Luke and how it differs
from the messages found in the other two Gospels. I will do this by analyzing the
effect of the differences in language, symbolic representation, location of the parable,
audience, and the context in which it is written, found in these three Gospels.
In terms of symbolic presentation, Luke uses the word sinners to compare them to the
sheep as seen in verse 7, ...one sinner who repents... Jesus is giving a reason why he
is friends of tax collectors and sinners. This is because they are like the sheep, lost
and need saving through repentance. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus uses the words
little ones . Jesus uses these words after giving a lesson about caring
31. Art Movement After World War I
According to the Visual Art Encyclopedia, Surrealism sprang up in Paris and
became rooted in the avant garde art world. Surrealism was the fashionable art
movement after World War I. Surrealism is and the last major art movement to be
associated with the Ecole de Paris. The writer Andre Breton (1896 1966), nicknamed
the Pope of Surrealism , was the movement s founder and chief theorist. He
introduced and defined the new style in his initial 1924 manifesto (Manifeste du
Surrealisme) and later in his painting bulletin (Surrealisme et la Peinture). Breton
deplored the radical and destructive character of Dada, nevertheless he built on many
Dada ideas to create a movement with a coherent though unbending philosophy. He
aimed at nothing less than a total conversion of the way people thought. Surrealism
was less overtly political and advocated a more positive philosophy. The main focus
of the surrealism movement was literature but this rapidly broadened to painting,
sculpture and other forms of contemporary visual art. Surrealist strived to bring
forward the imagery of the unconscious mind. Surrealist philosophy believed that
nongovernmental and irrational art were preferable for life and civilization.
Surrealism was responsible for a host of incredibly innovative but strange art.
Surrealism was meant to free the unconscious mind from reason. Breton and other
surrealists were strongly influenced by the psychological work of Sigmund Freud

32. Transportation Advantages And Disadvantages
The type of transport that an individual uses daily not only affect themselves, but
also the wider community. There are many factors that are likely to affect how an
individual makes decisions. Some decisions are made rationally, others are not. In
the past decade, both cities of Greater Melbourne and Perth are being affected by
people s transportation choices. The rapid increase in population across Australian
cities, especially Melbourneand Perth means that the government is looking for
solutions to reduce problems such as raising levels of pollution, congestion and travel
time. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) the residential
population of Greater Melbourne has increased by 2.1% and Greater Perth has
increased by 1.6%, during the period of June 2014 to June 2015 (2017).
Consequently, this steep increase in population means that the transport infrastructure
in both cities is being put under increasing pressure. Therefore, to cope with the rising
population, both cities have expanded their public transportation network. In the year
of 2015 16 in Perth, 6,850 Transperth train services were run weekly (Public Transport
Authority 2017) and in Melbourne there are over 2,200 week day services and more
than 3000 services during the weekends (Metro Trains Melbourne 2017).
As seen in the graph above, both Perth and Melbourne are showing strong trends of
growth. Furthermore, the steep incline in Perth from 2007 can be explained by the
opening of the Mandurah train line in 2007. From 2006, Melbourne is showing a
rapid growth, this is because in the 2006 Commonwealth games occurred in
Melbourne (Changing Transport 2012). Moreover, both cities also experienced
population growth therefore this may account for the public transport growth.
Private transportation such as cars are very popular with the Australian public.
Around 76% of all vehicles accounted for in 2013 were passenger vehicles (ABS
2014). Cars have become increasingly affordable and offer greater mobility therefore
more Australians are choosing them over public transportation (ABS 2014). By
analysis Australian Bauru of Statistics data social research company McCrindle
found that two in three Australians drive to work or study

34. Living The American Dream Act
For many people today, living the American dream is as simple as waking up. Many
young adults do not have to worry about deportation from the only country they have
known as home. Nonetheless, 7.6% of the population in North Carolina s school
system is the sons or daughters of illegal immigrants and lack a legal status (Strauss).
With the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act)
many of those young adults will be able to become American citizens. By passing
the DREAM Act, this will allow for many of those young adults to attend a
university, earn a taxable living, and purchase a home. The time to start thinking
about a university is about the time a student enters the ninth grade. Unless that
student is not a legal citizen, then the choices become very limited. Without the
DREAM Act, being able to attend a university becomes almost impossible. It is
because most universities ask for proof of residency before allowing the student to
attend. This can be very discouraging for the illegal students and become the reason
for dropping out of high school before receiving a diploma. Only two and a half
percent of the 31,000 illegal students will not graduate from high school ( CLOSING
THE GAP... ). However, opponents of the DREAM Act, believe that by allowing
illegal immigrants to attend universities; they would be taking sits from legal
residents. This would put an unnecessary strain on the already overcrowded
universities. This would also deplete the

This is one of the many traits that makes a well rounded parent. Some other traits

Local tourist board, Cassowary Conservation Society, Douglas Shire Council,
Indigenous people and several logging companies. Certainly, Widad Akrawi s (1)

the area becomes consumerism driven (an attempt to resist this is shown in
39. Predicting The Future Of The Election Before The Voting...
Predicting the Future Life is full of surprises but there are three things that
ultimately determine how you live your life: past, present, and the future. We live
our daily lives on those three fundamentals. For example, if it was cold yesterday
and it is still cold now, it will probably still be cold tomorrow. This is the same way
for Presidential elections. If a candidate were to maintain their strong lead from the
beginning of the election, unless something were to happen, it is expected that they
will continue that lead in the futureas well. So if meteorologists are able to reliably
predict the outcome of the weather, can Psephologists reliably predict the outcome
of the presidential election before the voting deadline of November 8th? There are
always people who try to stay ahead and predict the future. The very first official
weather forecast was made in the 1860s and the first official gallup poll for
presidential election has dated back to Roosevelt vs. Landon in 1936 (The Birth of
the Weather Forecast). Since then, both weather forecast and presidential prediction
has both been reliable but not perfect. From 1936 to 2012, they have predicted 16 out
of 20 correctly, or with an 80% accuracy. Most of the incorrect predictions are only
off by 1% margin besides the year 1948 where the margin of error was a whopping
5% (Election Polls Accuracy Record in Presidential Elections). This was a tragic year
for the pollsters. 1948 presidential election

Many British people that had a skill in a specific trade were forced to take up trades
that required no skill at all which angered them . Due to immigration, discrimination
in jobs was open, for example shop keepers put a sign up saying what kind of
workers they were looking for, and this gave many British people the advantage of the
immigrants as a confidence trick to govern the country due to being imperial.
Excluded from much of the social and economic life the immigrants began to adjust
the institutions they had brought with them, for example their churches and the fact
they had a British education which meant that the government gave them the right to
follow their own traditions and reduced the challenges of schooling. However this
also increased segregation between the immigrants and those who opposed, conflict
and discrimination was very common, it became easier to recognise people s origins
and social background from their dress scene and accents. The government weren t

unhappiness of being restricted in the job market, they then introduced the

convictions influencing your hypothesis is nearly impossible. With this being
said, we must utilize the emic and etic methods during observation, as instructed
by anthropologists. These two different methods let the researcher obtain
perspective from the outside and from within the social group. In most cases we
observe from an outsiders view (etic), but to actually understand and experience
another culture or society, one must become an insider (emic), or become part of
the culture to fully understand the viewpoints of another social group. During the
course of this paper I will examine and explain the importance of rite of passage
through etic perspective in order to portray the view of an outsider. The
experience that I encountered and its importance in the society in which I lived in

consequences based on historical events. Rites of passage are something that was

44. The Impact Of The Tv Shows In The 1950s
The 1950s had many impacts in the United States that changed the ways things are
now. In the 1950s there was many inventions that were made but the one that
changed america was The TV. The TV allowed people to catch up with things that
were happening in the world and they were able to watch TV shows such as I love
Lucy , Leave It To Beaver , Father Knows Best , and The Honeymooners . These
shows were entertainment but however some of the TV shows were inappropriate
for kids and even adults. Intersections and highways were the next attraction to the
folks in the 1950s. This changed many ways for them to travel and go places, get
there fast and it changed the transportation of cars in general. A very important war
that is not talked about
45. Summary Of How To Know If You Re Dead
If you don t like blood and are easily grossed out, then Mary Roach s How to Know
If You re Dead is not the book for you. In How to Know if You re Dead Roach
touches on what defines on what makes us living and what makes us dead. This is
very important because we often believe that because someone s heart is beating
then they are alive. But Roach makes us question this belief. The story opens in a
panic as doctors are trying to get what seems like a patient in critical condition and
teetering on the edge of life and death. However, we find out that the patient who is
named H is actually a person who has recently passed away. But we find out that H
is deferent than most patients in that her organs are actually still alive and kicking.
All except her brain that is. So in a since she is still alive, and the doctors constantly
refer to her as a patient and not a corps. Roach explains how H will donate all here
organs to people who are currently dying in order to save their lives.... Show more

And this is where the book gets very graphic. The doctors begin to cut her open.
From pelvis to neck the cut her open and peel back her skin around the organs. The
author then talks about how when H is opened up she looks alive. You can see her
heart beating and her lungs expanding and contracting with air. And this is where
she begins to ask the question of what makes a person a person. Is it the heart, or
the brain, or perhaps another organ? Maybe it isn t the organs at all that makes a
person at all. But all of this aside the heart is where most people associate with the
soul. H must be hooked up to heart monitors and life support, so wouldn t that mean
that she must be
46. Was Jfk Assassination Justified Essay
Throughout American, history there have been multiple assassination on presidents
of the United States. There is one assassination that is intriguing, the murder of John
F. Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy s assassination is known throughout American history.
There is controversy whether this assassination was justified or unjustified. John F.
Kennedys assassination is unjustified because murder is wrong and he had a family.
Though they may or may not have been a reason for Oswald to kill JFK there is no
right in murdering someone.

Kennedy was a son, husband, brother, and father. Most of all, he was President of
the United States. Oswald not only hurt Kennedy he hurt his family and his fans
as well. When Kennedy was killed he was with his wife. According to aarp.org., a
14 year old boy heard Mrs. Kennedy, scream oh no repeatedly. It goes on to say that
she refused to take off her Chanel suit, stained with Kennedy s blood. She told the
reporters, I want them to see what they did to Jack . His children were shocked and
filled with sadness from the lost of their father. A bibliography on Kennedy, said
that he was very close with his siblings and his parents. Oswald took away a major
piece from the Kennedy s. According to The Atlantic magazine, visitors from all over
the world came to his funeral to say goodbye.
Contrary to what millions of people thought, Lee Harvey Oswald thought differently.
He thought it was necessary to kill Kennedy. Though there are many conspiracy
theories to who or why Mr. Kennedy was killed, according to Warren Commission,
they researched his motives for killing Kennedy. They believed that Oswald
motives had to do with the desire to get his name in history (246 9). Though, it says
that there is no evidence to support such notion. Oswald himself never expressed a
desire to get his name in history (warren commision). They believed that it was one
of the only reason for Oswald
47. What Are The Main Features Of Local Government Act
1979
Provincial Local Government Ordinance 1979
This period marked the second wave of local government reform a military regime.
The system of local government introduced in 1979 by General Zia ul Haq was the
most representative in nature since independence. For the first time in the history of
Pakistan, elections to all local councils in both rural and urban areas were held
simultaneously on the basis of adult franchise and under the aegis of independent
provincial election authorities.
Features of Provincial Local Government Ordinance:
The special features of the 1979 local government system can be described as follows:
Local government laws relating to rural and urban areas were unified and harmonized.
Local governments ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Planning, development and maintenance of public roads and bridges.
Installation and maintenance of street lights.
Optional Functions:
Planning, development and maintenance of playgrounds, parks, graveyards and
gardens.
Procurement, allocation and regulation of grants, loans and other assistance.
Planning, development and maintenance of public welfare centers, orphan houses
and organizations. Analysis:
The local bodies were made independent from the bureaucracy under the Local
Government Ordinance of 1979.
The local bodies were vested with administrative, judicial and financial powers to
make them effective institutions.
They were authorized to get loans from national and international Banks to complete
their plans for the people s development.
The elections of local governments were held on non party basis.
The local governments were dependent upon the provinces from senior appointments
to the request for more resources or permission to increase taxes and rates.
The budgets of the local governments were also to be approved by the provincial
governments. It would not be unfair to say that the provinces used to control the local
governments
48. The Principles Of Cellular Respiration
INTRODUCTION
This experiment provides a precise avenue of exploration into the principles of
cellular respiration as it pertains to its processes that take place in the presence and
absence of oxygen. Cellular respiration refers to a [cell s] methods of breaking
down organic molecules to release their stored energy, which is used to generate
ATP (Upadhyaya, 2015). In other words, cells break down fuels such as glucose or
sucrose in order to retrieve energy in the form of ATP, which can then be used to
drive work within the cell. There are specific chemical reactions that take place
during this process, and these reactions differ when the cell has access to oxygen and
when it does not. When oxygen is present, the cell will undergo aerobic ... Show more

Electrons, which are not shown in either equation, play an essential role in the final
synthesis of ATP in both processes.
Aerobic Respiration
In aerobic respiration, glucose is split into two three carbon molecules known as
pyruvates in the first stage called glycolysis as alluded to earlier. Both of these
products lose one carbon as carbon dioxide, and [attaches] to coenzyme A, forming
a new molecule called acetyl CoA (Upadhyaya, 2015). Acetyl CoA is then inserted
into what is known as the citric acid cycle. This eight step cycle features the
synthesis, degradation, and regeneration of citrate while releasing carbon dioxide
and reducing electron carriers NAD+ and FAD to NADH and FADH2 (Reece,
2013). The reduced (term for a molecule that has gained at least one electron) carriers
proceed to the inner membrane of the mitochondria where the electrons are
transferred over to the first of four systematic proteins that make up the electron
transport chain where oxidative phosphorylation occurs (Reece, 2013). Pulled by the
electronegative oxygen at the end of the chain, the electrons navigate through the
chain, creating an environment that enables protons to travel across the membrane
(Reece, 2013). This proton motive force, or high concentration of hydrogen ions,
eventually diffuses back through the membrane through its only route: ATP synthase;
it is this protein that generates ATP via phosphorylation (Reece, 2013).

49. Using A Conventional Biological Filter Essay
Instead of using a conventional biological filter in your backyard or garden pond,
consider making your own natural pond filter out of aquatic plants. A natural pond
filter is far less expensive to maintain because it does not require any electricity to
keep it running, unlike other types of pond filters. This also makes a natural pond
filter safer for any fish or plants in your pond because there is less chance for
electrical accidents or malfunctions. Natural pond filters add to the natural ecosystem
of your gardenpond, with the plantlife serving as food for any fish you have inside
the pond. Natural garden pond filters: Better algae control A natural pond filter can
also be more effective than a traditional filter because it can remove more types of
algae and weed material. Most biological garden pond filters only catch the blooms
of algae that float through the water, but cannot always eliminate blanket weed
material that is stuck to the pond s sides or bottom. A natural bog type pond filter
controls algae in the entire pond by competing with the unwanted plants for nitrates
in the water. Natural garden pond filters: Disadvantages There are some
disadvantages to using a natural pond filter as well. Depending on the type of plants
used and the fish in your pond, the natural ecosystem may need more maintenance
than a traditional biological filter would. The plants in your pond filter must be
trimmed and kept under control and any dead foliage should be removed
50. Infectious Diseases And Its Effects On The Health Of
Chickens
Introduction
This written report will cover both infectious and non infectious diseases and their
effects on the health of chickens. Causes of each disease will be explained along
with symptoms and clinical signs that may occur during the onset of disease. This
report will explain the treatment and prevention for the diseases chosen and any
management strategies in place to control the disease.
Infectious Diseases
Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV) (Avian pneumoencephalitis)
Newcastle Disease Virus is an infectious diseaseof poultry and fowl caused by the
virus, Paramyxovirus serotype 1 (Foster and Smith, 2017a); (Alexander, 2000). The
severity of this virus depends on the susceptibility of the host and how virulent the
virus is. Chickens ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Treatment, Prevention and Control
There is currently no treatment for Newcastle Disease Virus, however in some
cases hyper immune serum injections have been used on exposed birds that are not
showing symptoms (Foster and Smith, 2017a) and antibiotics are occasionally
given to prevent secondary infections (Jacob, 2015a). Due to NDV being highly
contagious and severe it is classed as a notifiable disease, therefore any bird
showing symptoms of this disease must be reported to the Animal and Plant Health
Agency where action will be taken to prevent the disease from spreading (DEFRA,
2014b).
Vaccinations can be administered to protect birds against clinical signs and decrease
the risks of contracting the virus (CFSPH, 2016). Strict biosecurity practices and
correct husbandry are also vital in the prevention of NDV, this includes the isolation
of any outbreaks, disposal of any infected carcasses, thorough cleaning and
disinfection (Beautyofbirds, 2017); (DEFRA, 2014a).
Fowl Cholera (Avian Pasteurellosis)
Fowl cholera is a contagious bacterial disease seen in captive and wild fowls caused
by Pasteurella multocida to which domestic poultry; such as chickens, are particularly
susceptible (West, 1976b); (Christensen, 2016) causing high morbidity and mortality
and bacteraemia (OIE, 2016). Overcrowding, climate and stress are a few known
environmental factors said to have an effect the severity of the

Banquo s character has a significant role in Macbeth because hes is the foil to
Macbeth, he enhances Macbeth s actions by being the complete opposite but shares
qualities with Macbeth. (Macbeth Essay | The Role of Banquo in Macbeth)
In Elizabethan English, Lord Banquo, the thane of Lochaber is classified a
nobleman or baron. As a noble he would function as middle class between peasants
and royalty. He would be expected to provide work, land, and protection to the

his prophecy because his descendants would become king and to make sure his

king. Based on the setting and the time period of 1606 I would have to assume that
Banquo is christian; christians would often pair witches and magic with ideas of

53. Gender, Sexual, And Gender
Sex refers to a person s biological status and is typically categorized as male, female
or intersex. There are a number of indicators of biological sex, including sex
chromosomes, gonads, internal reproductive organs and external genitalia (Anon
2012). Sex is typically categorized by either male or female. Your sex is your sex and
there isn t much you can do to change that. We are unable to alter our genetic
makeup which has a great deal to do with our sex. Every individual is either a maleor
a female but your genderis somewhat up to you. Your gender can vary and change
over time. It could have a different meaning depending on the culture, a geographic
location, or even a specific group of individuals. Gender refers to the... Show more

But in today s society, your sex only determines your external genitalia, not who
you truly are. Your sex is a physical aspect of your body, while you sex category and
gender is your mental aspect. Once you consider yourself or placed yourself into a
sex category, you take on the roles of that sex. Some even take it as far taking on
the features and dressing like their gender preference. You see this in many
homosexual individuals. Males acting and dressing like females and females acting
and dressing like males. According to the sex role theory, we acquire our gender
identity through socialization, and afterward we are socialized to behave in
masculine or feminine ways (Kimmel 2000:131). Society basically shows individuals
how to masculine or feminine, whether it is a man being masculine or feminine or a
woman being feminine or masculine.
Doing gender is performing the activities and exhibiting the traits that are prescribed
for us. A person s gender is not simply an aspect of what one is, but, more
fundamentally, it is something that one does, and does recurrently, in interaction
with others (Kimmel 2000:131). You can appear to be a male or a female, but your
actions may appear of the opposite sex. Heterosexual men, for example, who identify
with their sex but not the social characteristics typically associated with dominant
masculinity, may find that they are bullied and not considered to be a proper

criticism from both the political people left and right. Conservatives put down her

Connor s parents sent her to live with her maternal grandmother in El Paso. Sandra
went to the Radford School, a private academy for girls, from kindergarten through
high school. Suffering from extreme homesickness, she stopped going and

economics originally with the goal of applying that knowledge towards the

56. Nuclear Energy Advantages And Disadvantages
The Disadvantages of Nuclear Energy Supersedes the Advantages
There are several substantial reasons to oppose the use of nuclear energy. Nuclear
power installations are vulnerable for accidents, incidents and attacks. Radioactive
material causes several types of diseases. Radiation is harmful and can be lethal.
Contamination with radioactive material can make entire regions uninhabitable for
thousands of years .Although there are a few benefits of using nuclear energy ,the
disadvantages outweigh them. Nuclear energy has several benefits that many may
believe is worth the danger it can potentially cause. Nuclear energy can make
electricity without emitting greenhouse gases. It realeases a lot more energy than
wind or hydro energy. Nuclear energy makes use of uraniumas a means of fuel. This
energy can put out a continuous amount of power. These all are useful qualities
Nuclear energy has the ability to produce electricity without greenhouse gas
emissions. It produces electricity without pollution. It is cleaner than many other
forms of energy production. Essentially, nuclear powerwould be carbon zero if the
uranium were mined and transported in a more efficient way. Nuclear reaction
releases a million times more energy, as compared to hydro or wind energy. Large
quantity of energy is generated from a single nuclear power plant .Nuclear reactors
make use of uranium as fuel and produces huge amounts of energy from small
amounts of uranium. The Earth has the high reserves of uranium. Current
estimates put the uranium supply as enough to last for 30 to 60 years. Moreover
other fuel cycles like Thorium are available for power generation. Whereas, oil
reserves and other fossil type fuels are likely to run out shortly. Nuclear power
plants operate reliably and have a continuous output of power. The plants do not
generally face operations and maintenance problems. This is a contrast to other
alternative energies which depend on the activity of the weather. There are low
operating cost. Although nuclear power reactors are expensive to build, they are
relatively cheap to operate. Fuel is inexpensive and a plant can be operated by small
number of people, approximately
