Prostitution, Drugs And Money Laundering
Prostitution, drugs and money laundering are all tied together in the underground world of the public
crimes arena. In fact, acts are all influenced by the political, economic, and social relations intertwined
with organized crime resulting in violence, public health issues, and money laundering schemes.
Markets can be found online, on the streets, and through legitimate and illegitimate practices. The very
nature of prostitution and drug crimes are considered victimless crimes, resulting in collateral damage
against the innocent, but each criminal act can harm the innocent in various degrees. Drug addiction
has affected all classes, races, and ethnicities for all time around the world. Drugs have not only been
used for medical and religious purposes, but they are also illegally manufactured, smuggled, and
distributed globally on the criminal market due to technological advancements today. One might say
this harm is only affecting the individual user, but this is simply not true. Drugs use leads to addiction
causing mental and physical damage to those who use them. However, the power of addiction often
leads to other heinous crimes and theft to support the habit. Antidrug legislation and policies have
been used to control the drug problem by implanting stiffer penalties for drug offenses even in small
quantities. Nevertheless, the manufacture and distribution of large quantities can carry a sentence of
10 years to life and $4 to $10 million dollar fine. Although

Pros And Cons Of A Good Ozone And Good Ozone
Good ozone
Bad ozone
Ozone occurs in two layers of the atmosphere. The ozone that is commonly associated with ozone
depletion and the ozone hole is in the stratosphere, a layer that extends upward from about 10 to 30
miles (15 to 50 kilometers) above the earth. This good ozone shields life on earth from the sun s
harmful ultraviolet rays (UV b).
The layer surrounding the earth s surface is the troposphere. Here, ground level or bad ozone is an air
pollutant that damages human health, vegetation, and many common materials. It is a key ingredient
of urban smog. The troposphere extends from the surface to about 10 miles (15 kilometers) above the
surface. Ground level, or bad ozone , is also called tropospheric ozone while good ozone is called
stratospheric ozone. About 80 90% of all ozone in the atmosphere is found in the stratosphere ... Show

In fact, 90% of the earth s ozone layer is located in the stratosphere. This stratospheric ozone is 6 30
miles high above the ground. Natural ozone creates a protective shield from the sun s damaging rays
onto the earth. Ultraviolet radiation, or UV rays, can create a host of health issues, such as skin cancer,
cataracts and immune system impairments, if UV exposure is too high. Ozone is also commonly used
in mold remediation and as an effective means of odor control.
In our modern technologically advanced society, man made activities have been depleting our ozone
layer faster than ever. As our protective ozone shield becomes compromised, more UV radiation
makes its way to the earth s surface. Increased amounts of UV rays are exemplifying the detrimental
effects on human, animal and agricultural

Romanelli Vs Citibank Summary
Case Study for Romanelli v. Citibank Christine A. Adams Liberty University Online Case Study for
Romanelli v. Citibank Case Details In Romanelli v. Citibank, Romanelli sued Citibank over claims of
negligence following the embezzlement of money by Schor, Romanelli s financial advisor. Romanelli
contended that Citibank was liable for allowing Schor s actions. Both the New York trial court and
New York appellate court found in favor of Citibank, stating that Romanelli was liable for Schor s
actions since Schor was Romanelli s agent (Melvin Katz, 2015, p.321). Observations Legal Issues The
main legal issues in Romanelli v. Citibank are agency laws and whether a principle should be liable

While it is true that Romanelli told Schor not to open the account, Romanelli s actions would imply
that Schor did have authority to act on Romanelli s behalf. Romanelli gave Schor authority to conduct
business for him when he hired Schor as his accountant and financial adviser (Melvin Katz, 2015,
p.321). Schor was also given a corporate resolution that gives someone the authority to act on behalf
of the corporation (Investopedia, 2015). It is unknown what the corporate resolution was for, but since
Romanelli had given it to Schor along with other documents pertaining to the opening of a bank
account, it is safe to assume that it had to do with giving Schor authority to open the account on
Romanelli s behalf. Even though Schor was told not to open the account, he can claim that he had
been given authority at one time to open it. Although Romanelli did not win his case against Citibank,
he does have a couple of remedies against Schor. These include the ability to seek damages from
Schor for the amount that Schor had embezzled. Romanelli could also fire Schor for breach of duty.

Canadian Federalism
Conclusion As of now we have looked at three points of contention between the two parties. But these
are merely pieces of the puzzle, by connecting them together we will see the full picture. First, the
sovereigntists see Quebec as a distinct society, which is distinct in its own right due to its distinct
culture and institutions. But as history has shown them, the Canadian federation has undermined
Quebec and its distinctness. The sovereigntists see this as setting Quebec on a path of continued
subjugation under Canadian federalism. Desiring to change the situation they are left with two
options, either be recognized and gain autonomy over there culture, or separate from the union and
gain autonomy in this way. Canada then is a subjugator of Quebec and is different from Quebec do
having different culture and institutions. Furthermore, Canada refuses to recognize this difference.
Following from before then, Quebec must leave the union or continued to be subjugated. Therefore,
sovereigntists view Quebec as distinct unrecognized state, who has been historically subjugated under
Canada, and is on a path of continued subjugation, while they view Canada as different from Quebec
and as the subjugator of Quebec. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They understand that is distinct but its own definition is dependent upon Canada. To be a Quebecor
then is to also be a Canadian. Furthermore, Quebec`s history may be one of subjugation, but to them it
does not follow that this has created a path for the province. The future is open to them, thus Quebec
is able to progress and choose its own path. Finally, Quebec has been recognized as being different,
and as such Canada has accommodated the province. Thus, federalists view Quebec as a distinct and
recognized aspect of Canada, who is also an equal partner in the

Interdependence Book Report
Dependence
As a child, you become dependent on your parents. Dependence starts at birth, a newborn must be fed
every few hours. The excessive diaper changes and constant burping, one must depend on their
parents to take care of them. Oneself does not choose their caregiver nor if one wants to be dependent
upon them but, it s a need. Throughout this dependence one creates a special place in their heart for
their caregiver. This special place leads to defense in their honor and creates feelings for one as a
survival strategy. Growing up in church as a child, he or she learns to depend on the bible to seek the
right pathway into life. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one s life for one s friends (John

And within those things, he was able to decrease debt, maintain peace, establish the Second Bank of
the United States, and
The first reason why John C. Calhoun was important is because he decreased debt. For example,
during his time as U.S Secretary of State, the department s operations and accounts had many
problems involving debt. Calhoun knew this and suggested some ideas of change. Congress agreed to
those changes and ratified the army s staff structure, improved the accounting and procurement
systems, and voted to pay and decrease the war debt. At the end of Calhoun s second term as secretary,
the accounts had been reduced from $45 to $3 million. Calhoun had a large impact on their bill. ...

Because of the debate over states rights and slavery, it resulted into the lead of the Civil War. What
Calhoun has done created a big impact on the future. His decisions lead to the beginning of the civil

Religious And Civil Life During The 19th Century
One can hardly speak of the Haskalah in Eastern Europe without referencing its relationship to
Hasidism. Beginning in eighteenth century Poland Lithuanian area, the Bal Shem Tov created a brand
of simple and extremely pietistic Judaism appealing most to uneducated working class Jews. Hasidism
viewed Western ideas, language, and even dress as a threat to traditional Jewish society. In addition,
religious and civil life were inseparable, unlike their western coreligionist. These values brought
Haskalah in Eastern Europe into a continuous and often tense struggle with the traditional Jewish
community.
Unlike their Western coreligionist, Eastern European Jewish communities were still quite traditional
by the early 19th century. The Hasidic movement strengthening traditional Jewish life and filled the
leadership gap left by the government abolishment of autonomous communal structures known as
kahals. At the same time, the maskilim were also exerting increasing influence and leadership among
Eastern Jewish communities, and viewed Hasidism as outdated separatist preventing Jews from
modernizing. To this end, maskilim sought to discredit Hasidism particularly with state authorities.
Journals such as Ha Karmel, Razsvet, and Kerem Hemed, carried the clever satire from maskilim such
as Joseph Perl and Isaac Erter s Gilgul Nefesh (Transmigration of the Soul) portraying Hasidism as
backward, and purposefully antagonistic to government efforts towards Jewish social and political

Social Implications Of A Negative Impact On The World
I know many of my friends that have encountered a situation that caused negative social implications.
They would upload personal information to sharing websites such as the well known one, www.ask.fm
or Facebook. Every piece of data they would decide to share to the world enabled people from
anywhere to read and acknowledge the information about them which could have put them in potential
danger to threats that would complicate their lives. Since they decided to do so, future employers may
have had the chance to find out about this information which contained personal data, inappropriate
language and dangerous actions. This could have prevented them from receiving/applying for a part
time, or register for college, or at the extremes suspend them from attending school. After a speaker
about online networking visited our school, his speech had a positive influence on some of my friends
where they then proceeded to delete the comments/pictures from the websites and off of their accounts
which cleared some of the tension between certain people. Some ways to prevent social implications
from having a negative impact on yourself, family, friends or the wider community is to think before
you post something on digital platforms that has the potential to harm yourself or one another.
Initiative must be used before uploading information or pictures about yourself or others by following
simple steps such as asking yourself: is it true, will I benefit from it, will it offend someone,

Analytical Essay On The Waterfront
In the realist film, On The Waterfront, Elia Kazan offers the audience an exploration of what it means
to value individual conscience in the pursuit of justice. Set across from New York City, Kazan s tense
expose of organised corruption in the 1950 s follows the protagonist, Terry Malloy, as he struggles to
choose between his loyalties in a world filled with dishonesty and trepidation. Although it may seem
that many of the characters are bound to silence by fear and corruption, Kazan implies that a strong
moral presence can motivate others to help their community by exposing the facts to the public .
Kazan suggests that poverty and corruption can lead people to live in fear of those in power, as well as
how people may feel obliged to be loyal to those have helped them in the past. In addition to this,
Kazan conveys that a strong moral voice can be enough to catalyse change in a community. Through
the exploitation of the workers on the docks, Kazan highlights how power and corruption can drive
people towards keeping silent about things they know are morally inacceptable. Set in Hoboken, the
New York skyline constantly appears in the distance to represent the American dream. However, it is
always masked by a layer of fog and separated from the workers by a tall, metal fence. Therefore,
Kazan implies that, despite the idea that everyone should have an equal opportunity to prosper and
live comfortably, the American dream is obscured and unreachable for the longshoremen working on
the docks, with one worker even claiming: I m poorer now than when I started . Kazan further
demonstrates this view through his portrayal of Johnny Friendly and the Mob, who prevent the
workers from reaching this ideal. For example, when Father Barry first appears at the docks, one of
Johnny Friendly s men is taunting the workers, questioning: What s the matter? Nobody want to work
today? before leaving the workers frantically scrabbling for a token and the chance to get a day s
work. This suggests that the longshoremen are like pigeons searching for their day s feed, powerless
against the hawks watching from above who will be right down on them if they dare to speak out
against them. As a consequence, Kazan implies that the

William Blake s Chimney Sweeper Poems

Writers and artists are influenced by the culture of their time. They respond to the world around them
through their work. In the 18th century, England was plagued by the gruesome repercussions of the
industrial revolution. One such repercussion was the child labor of the time, where young boys at the
ages of five and six were for forced to work in harsh conditions, either sweeping chimneys or working
in factories. William Blake used his romantic style of writing to commentate on these ever growing

The major idea he uses is that of Heaven and religion. In Songs of Innocence, Blake describes an
angel who appears to a boy in a dream. The angel releases the boys from the black coffins and lets
them free into a green plain with the sun high above and says that if he is a good boy he will never
want because god will look after them. Blake makes a strong connection to the idea of Heaven. If you
are good in life you will be with God and want for nothing in Heaven. This angel brings them
salvation from the harsh world from out of a coffin, playing on the idea of death. Religion is also used
in Songs of Experience though it is used more negatively. In the poem, the boy describes that his
parents have, gone up to church to pray (SoE). This could represent the literal form of church or it
could mean they have gone to the big church in the sky meaning heaven and have died, leaving the
boy to fend for himself. However, the parents seem to have chosen the job for the boy and go to
church and think nothing of their child. Heaven is also used generally by saying that this makes up a
heaven of the boys unhappiness, meaning a huge, unconceivable amount (SoE). It is used
paradoxically to the praising of the Priest and King, meaning the Church and state, by the parents.
Religion is used as salvation in Songs of Innocence and negatively Songs of Experience. While the
two both have religious language, the two use their points of view to describe different ideas. The

Establishing Architecture For Large Enterprise Solutions
Establishing Architecture for Large Enterprise Solutions in Agile Environment Sujatha Dantuluri
Software Architecture Karsun Solutions LLC Herndon, USAAbstract Companies are adopting Agile,
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean to deliver software faster to the market. These stack of
methodologies ensure early delivery and faster time to recover from mistakes. While developing
software iteratively we need to ensure design and quality are not compromised to speed. SAFe
proposes to use emergent architecture and design which develops iteratively. However, for large,
complex systems with multiple system integration points and high volume of transactional data, doing

In order to establish an architecture for a system, we need to know the purpose and scope of the
application, its importance and relationship to the overall strategic goals of the organization based on
known requirements of the system being developed. However in an Agile environment where the
requirements are groomed iteratively and change is constant, establishing architecture and design
would be a daunting task. Especially if the system being developed is large enterprise level solution,
iterative architecture and design could result in a lot of rework and redundancy. If there are many
integration points and functionality spans across multiple applications, defining enterprise level
architecture helps the software being developed to align with strategic goals of the enterprise, helping
business capabilities to be shared across organizations. But establishing such architecture in an Agile
environment would be challenging. This paper addresses this issue and establishes a process for
architecture development for enterprise level applications. The paper defines a process to develop a
software solution which spans across multiple legacy applications using Agile principles . The
approach explained in the paper has been adopted for the development of software which modernizes
legacy data capture and is intended to establish a framework for enterprise level services in the future.
The solution spans across 6 legacy software systems.

Dbq Essay Over The Annexation Of The Philippines
The Filipino people had helped the US fight the Spanish American War in hope to gain independence
in return. However, instead of gaining independence the Philippines was annexed to the United States
on December 10, 1898. When the Filipino s had found they were going to be ruled over once again
they were very unhappy, after all they had helped the US. When Aguinaldo had found out that the
Philippines were going to be controlled by the US, he had declared war on the United States. Although
a war had been started over the annexation, annexation was the best thing for them. The annexation of
the Philippines was in the best interest of the United States because it had helped trade between the
US and the Philippines, provided education for the Filipinos, and without being ruled by the US, the
Philippines would go back to being ruled by Spain.

the annexation of the Philippines was a success. It compares their trade profits from before the
annexation to after, Before annexation the exports to the Philippines seldom reached as much as

Critical Analysis of China s Economy
Abstract
The economy of China has been on the rise at a rapid rate for more than three decades. Most of this
growth higher productivity of labor highly contributed to this economic growth. On the contrary, as
the economy widens, rate of employment diminishes along with a steady increase of the youth
population. This paper focuses on understanding the efforts that led to the growth as well as the
setbacks that China might encounter over the coming years. The challenge would be to maintain its
rapid leap of economic growth. Key questions consist ofhow China will sustain its investments;
whether these investments will lose productivity as the labor capital ratio keeps on rising, whether
employment rates will sustain urban migration. In the bottom line scenario, growth of the economy
falls steadilyat a rate of six and a half percent by the year 2030 from the current ten percent (Chowand
Kui Wai 146).
History of China s Economic Presentation
China led the global technological and fields in the industrialization era . It is believed that China s
economy made its peak in the Song Dynasty. In this era, China had the supreme technologies
(Needham and Ronan 143), the utmost rate of urbanization, the largest iron production and ultimately
the leadingstate economy globally (Carsten 146). However, between 1500 and 1800, Western Europe
took the lead from China. Some economists and historians attach China s downfall

The Genius Of The Constitution Tyranny
The Genius of the American Constitution
Since the advent of human government, one of the principle fears held by the constituents of the
government has always been to prevent any form of tyranny or abuse within it. Tyranny can be loosely
described as one person or a group of people having total power in a government leading to the
subjugation and oppression of people s rights. Many new nations wish to eliminate any aspect of their
government that may eventually lead to tyranny. The United States was no different in this respect; the
framers of the Constitution longed to have no signs of tyranny in their government because they had
gone to war with Britain for that very reason. In 1787, a group of fifty five delegates came from ...

James Madison in Federalist Paper #51 writes Hence a double security arises to the rights of the
people. The different governments will each control each other, at the same time that each will be
controlled by itself. This idea of Federalism allows the governments to be supervised by the others
while having control over itself. The powers of the government are spilt between the central and state
government so neither government could gain more power over the other. The powers that state
governments have are more specific to the state then the powers given to the central government. For
example, states were given the powers to pass marriage and divorce laws, establish schools, set up
local governments among others because these issues differ largely from state to state. Hence, it would
make it illogical to give the central government these types of rights because these issues vary from
state to state making it an act of tyranny by the majority against the minority. (Document A) The
framers of the Constitution recognized that if one person or a group of individuals gets all the powers,
tyranny was inevitable and to prevent this it became evident that a separation of powers must be
established. The framers acknowledged that it was possible to have a tyranny in a democracy as stated
in Federalist Paper #47 The accumulation of all powers...in the same hands..., and whether hereditary,
self appointed, or elective... is the very definition of tyranny. Thus, it was decided

Imperialism In Germany
World War I, also known as the Great War, was a traumatic experience across Europe; the continent
was in shock while experiencing the first total war. During the late 1800s to early 1900s,
industrialization was at its peak while the leading powers avidly extended their control through
imperialism. However, this golden age did not last long as alliances began to divide and create tension
among leading powers. Militarism with a strong sense of nationalism further led to Germany s
invasion through Belgium and into Marne. As a result, the total war broke out on either side of
Germany with multiple nations involved including Russia, France, Britain, Austria Hungary, and the
Ottoman Empire. With this in mind, despite some believing that the assassination ... Show more

In particular, after Russia and the Ottoman Empire ended the Russo Turkish War with the Treaty of
San Stefano, German Chancellor Bismarck successfully annulled the treaty. Although Germany was
dissociated with the war strictly between Russia and the Ottoman Empire, Bismarck claimed that the
unbalance of power Russia caused was unfair. This being said, Germany took the land that Russia
gained away; Russia left the League of the Three Emperors (an alliance between Germany, Austria
Hungary, and Russia). As a result, Germany and Austria formed the Dual Alliance of 1879 that stated,
Should, [...] one of the two Empires be attacked by Russia the High Contracting Parties are bound to
come to the assistance one of the other with the whole war strength of their Empires (Article I).
Basically, if one of the two countries were attacked, the other would equally defend them. Similarly,
Russia allied with France when the Franco Russian Entente in 1894 which progressed into the Triple
Entente when Britain became involved. Evidently, Germany caused the division of world powers with
their alliances which led to World War I. More specifically, when Austria Hungary went to war with
Serbia after their archduke was assassinated, the two alliances clashed. Russia, who aided Serbia, had
backup from France and Britain and Austria Hungary had Germany who was also allied with the
Ottoman Empire. Seeing this caused both parties to declare major war, Germany s alliances did cause
tension that resulted in World War

Every Situation, By Patsy Rodenburg
In the book, The Second Circle: How to Use Positive Energy or Success in Every Situation by Patsy
Rodenburg, the author really focuses on how people can change their life by using your energy in a
more positive way. She discusses three circles of energy that everyone has experienced at some point
but one out of the three circles is the one we tend to fall in the most. The second circle is where
everyone should try to be in life while people who fall into the second and third circles will tend to not
have as positive of a life as they will never live with a presence. Throughout the book she explains
how something as simple as breathing can help us use more positive energy and keep us in the second

Jury Diversity
1) The jury in this film is relatively diverse. Although on the whole diversity spectrum it isn t, we see
diversity in the age ranges of the jury members and in their different classes, and levels of education.
The diversity helps the team in the aspect that it helps seem jury members see differently to others. It
allowed some of them to give the defendant a chance and understand the circumstances he had be
brought up in and the lifestyle he d lived in. An example would be when the kid was called slum by
certain jury members whereas others gave him a chance. Only different upbringings and
understandings would enable that understanding.

11) I do not think there were any examples of social loafing in the movie.
12) I thought the closest thing to a devil s advocate was Jury member eleven. Even though he did not
play a huge part, when he did he posed a lot of questions to the group in a way that invited a lot of
thought from them, he came across as very intellectual and thought a bit more outside the box and
tried to pose these thoughts to others.
13) At the start the trust level was minimal. Most of them blindly voted guilty and when jury member
eight pointed that out and some of them started to realize that there was a lot of distrust. I think the
level of trust changed at about the half way point when the votes were beginning to tie. I think this
was because some of them were realizing there was another side to this story and that it was worth

Theme Of Fear In Lord Of The Flies
In the Novel lord of the flies, it is evident that the stranded school boys attempt to build a civilization.
Throughout the building of this new civilization the most challenging factor is leading the school boys
and keeping the young boys on track, which is hard enough let alone being on an island with no
adults. This making their civilization fragile. A constant fear is looming around the boys, which in the
end is what breaks this fragile society. A fear of many factors including; Being stranded forever
possibly, A beast and starvation. These fears divide the group of school boys and blinds the boys from
the most important goal, surviving till their rescue. The first fear to arise in Lord of the Flies is a fear
of abandonment, for a group of young English school boys that were in a plane crash while in the
process of fleeing the war. The boys may feel like the have no home or place they belong. When they
are on an uninhabited island and stuck with no one older then thirteen to lead them. When Piggy and
Ralph meet, Piggy shows his sense of abandonment when he says They re all dead, said piggy an this
is an island. Nobody don t know we re here. (Goulding 9) This feeling of being abandoned ignites the
fear in the young boys, and paves the path for the fear grow like fire. As if abandonment is not enough
piggy shortly after brings up an even scarier topic, We may stay here till we die. (10). Being
abandoned is a harsh feeling, but an even scarier feeling is dying, dying

Markets can be found online, on the streets, and through legitimate and illegitimate practices. The very nature of prostitution and drug crimes are considered victimless crimes, resulting in collateral damage against the innocent, but each criminal act can harm the innocent in various degrees. Drug addiction has affected all classes, races, and ethnicities for all time around the world. Schor was also given a corporate resolution that gives someone the authority to act on behalf of the corporation (Investopedia, 2015). It is unknown what the corporate resolution was for, but since Romanelli had given it to Schor along with other documents pertaining to the opening of a bank account, it is safe to assume that it had to do with giving Schor authority to open the account on Romanelli s behalf. • 6. Canadian Federalism Conclusion As of now we have looked at three points of contention between the two parties. But these are merely pieces of the puzzle, by connecting them together we will see the full picture. First, the sovereigntists see Quebec as a distinct society, which is distinct in its own right due to its distinct culture and institutions. But as history has shown them, the Canadian federation has undermined Quebec and its distinctness. The sovereigntists see this as setting Quebec on a path of continued subjugation under Canadian federalism. Desiring to change the situation they are left with two options, either be recognized and gain autonomy over there culture, or separate from the union and gain autonomy in this way. Canada then is a subjugator of Quebec and is different from Quebec do having different culture and institutions. Furthermore, Canada refuses to recognize this difference. Following from before then, Quebec must leave the union or continued to be subjugated. Beginning in eighteenth century Poland Lithuanian area, the Bal Shem Tov created a brand of simple and extremely pietistic Judaism appealing most to uneducated working class Jews. Hasidism viewed Western ideas, language, and even dress as a threat to traditional Jewish society. In addition, religious and civil life were inseparable, unlike their western coreligionist. These values brought Haskalah in Eastern Europe into a continuous and often tense struggle with the traditional Jewish community. Unlike their Western coreligionist, Eastern European Jewish communities were still quite traditional by the early 19th century. The Hasidic movement strengthening traditional Jewish life and filled the leadership gap left by the government abolishment of autonomous communal structures known as kahals. At the same time, the maskilim were also exerting increasing influence and leadership among Eastern Jewish communities, and viewed Hasidism as outdated separatist preventing Jews from modernizing. • 22. Analytical Essay On The Waterfront In the realist film, On The Waterfront, Elia Kazan offers the audience an exploration of what it means to value individual conscience in the pursuit of justice. Set across from New York City, Kazan s tense expose of organised corruption in the 1950 s follows the protagonist, Terry Malloy, as he struggles to choose between his loyalties in a world filled with dishonesty and trepidation. Although it may seem that many of the characters are bound to silence by fear and corruption, Kazan implies that a strong moral presence can motivate others to help their community by exposing the facts to the public . Kazan suggests that poverty and corruption can lead people to live in fear of those in power, as well as how people may feel obliged to be loyal to those have helped them in the past. In addition to this, Kazan conveys that a strong moral voice can be enough to catalyse change in a community. Through the exploitation of the workers on the docks, Kazan highlights how power and corruption can drive people towards keeping silent about things they know are morally inacceptable. Set in Hoboken, the New York skyline constantly appears in the distance to represent the American dream. However, it is always masked by a layer of fog and separated from the workers by a tall, metal fence. Therefore, Kazan implies that, despite the idea that everyone should have an equal opportunity to prosper and live comfortably, the American dream is obscured and unreachable for the longshoremen working on the docks, with one worker even claiming: I m poorer now than when I started . Kazan further demonstrates this view through his portrayal of Johnny Friendly and the Mob, who prevent the workers from reaching this ideal. For example, when Father Barry first appears at the docks, one of Johnny Friendly s men is taunting the workers, questioning: What s the matter? Nobody want to work today? before leaving the workers frantically scrabbling for a token and the chance to get a day s work. This suggests that the longshoremen are like pigeons searching for their day s feed, powerless against the hawks watching from above who will be right down on them if they dare to speak out against them. As a consequence, Kazan implies that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The angel releases the boys from the black coffins and lets them free into a green plain with the sun high above and says that if he is a good boy he will never want because god will look after them. Blake makes a strong connection to the idea of Heaven. If you are good in life you will be with God and want for nothing in Heaven. This angel brings them salvation from the harsh world from out of a coffin, playing on the idea of death. Religion is also used in Songs of Experience though it is used more negatively. In the poem, the boy describes that his parents have, gone up to church to pray (SoE). This could represent the literal form of church or it could mean they have gone to the big church in the sky meaning heaven and have died, leaving the boy to fend for himself. Heaven is also used generally by saying that this makes up a heaven of the boys unhappiness, meaning a huge, unconceivable amount (SoE). If there are many integration points and functionality spans across multiple applications, defining enterprise level architecture helps the software being developed to align with strategic goals of the enterprise, helping business capabilities to be shared across organizations. But establishing such architecture in an Agile environment would be challenging. This paper addresses this issue and establishes a process for architecture development for enterprise level applications. The paper defines a process to develop a software solution which spans across multiple legacy applications using Agile principles . The approach explained in the paper has been adopted for the development of software which modernizes legacy data capture and is intended to establish a framework for enterprise level services in the future. The solution spans across 6 legacy software systems. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, instead of gaining independence the Philippines was annexed to the United States on December 10, 1898. When the Filipino s had found they were going to be ruled over once again they were very unhappy, after all they had helped the US. When Aguinaldo had found out that the Philippines were going to be controlled by the US, he had declared war on the United States. Although a war had been started over the annexation, annexation was the best thing for them. The annexation of the Philippines was in the best interest of the United States because it had helped trade between the US and the Philippines, provided education for the Filipinos, and without being ruled by the US, the Philippines would go back to being ruled by Spain. • 28. Critical Analysis Of China s Economy Essay Name: Course: Tutor: Date: Critical Analysis of China s Economy Abstract The economy of China has been on the rise at a rapid rate for more than three decades. Most of this growth higher productivity of labor highly contributed to this economic growth. On the contrary, as the economy widens, rate of employment diminishes along with a steady increase of the youth population. This paper focuses on understanding the efforts that led to the growth as well as the setbacks that China might encounter over the coming years. The challenge would be to maintain its rapid leap of economic growth. Key questions consist ofhow China will sustain its investments; whether these investments will lose productivity as the labor capital ratio keeps on rising, whether employment rates will sustain urban migration. In the bottom line scenario, growth of the economy falls steadilyat a rate of six and a half percent by the year 2030 from the current ten percent (Chowand Kui Wai 146). History of China s Economic Presentation China led the global technological and fields in the industrialization era . It is believed that China s economy made its peak in the Song Dynasty. In this era, China had the supreme technologies (Needham and Ronan 143), the utmost rate of urbanization, the largest iron production and ultimately the leadingstate economy globally (Carsten 146). • 29. The Genius Of The Constitution Tyranny The Genius of the American Constitution Since the advent of human government, one of the principle fears held by the constituents of the government has always been to prevent any form of tyranny or abuse within it. Tyranny can be loosely described as one person or a group of people having total power in a government leading to the subjugation and oppression of people s rights. Many new nations wish to eliminate any aspect of their government that may eventually lead to tyranny. The United States was no different in this respect; the framers of the Constitution longed to have no signs of tyranny in their government because they had gone to war with Britain for that very reason. In 1787, a group of fifty five delegates came from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... James Madison in Federalist Paper #51 writes Hence a double security arises to the rights of the people. The different governments will each control each other, at the same time that each will be controlled by itself. This idea of Federalism allows the governments to be supervised by the others while having control over itself. The powers of the government are spilt between the central and state government so neither government could gain more power over the other. The powers that state governments have are more specific to the state then the powers given to the central government. For example, states were given the powers to pass marriage and divorce laws, establish schools, set up local governments among others because these issues differ largely from state to state. Hence, it would make it illogical to give the central government these types of rights because these issues vary from state to state making it an act of tyranny by the majority against the minority. (Document A) The framers of the Constitution recognized that if one person or a group of individuals gets all the powers, tyranny was inevitable and to prevent this it became evident that a separation of powers must be established. The framers acknowledged that it was possible to have a tyranny in a democracy as stated in Federalist Paper #47 The accumulation of all powers...in the same hands..., and whether hereditary, self appointed, or elective... is the very definition of tyranny. Thus, it was decided ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Imperialism In Germany World War I, also known as the Great War, was a traumatic experience across Europe; the continent was in shock while experiencing the first total war. During the late 1800s to early 1900s, industrialization was at its peak while the leading powers avidly extended their control through imperialism. However, this golden age did not last long as alliances began to divide and create tension among leading powers. Militarism with a strong sense of nationalism further led to Germany s invasion through Belgium and into Marne. As a result, the total war broke out on either side of Germany with multiple nations involved including Russia, France, Britain, Austria Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire. With this in mind, despite some believing that the assassination ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In particular, after Russia and the Ottoman Empire ended the Russo Turkish War with the Treaty of San Stefano, German Chancellor Bismarck successfully annulled the treaty. Although Germany was dissociated with the war strictly between Russia and the Ottoman Empire, Bismarck claimed that the unbalance of power Russia caused was unfair. This being said, Germany took the land that Russia gained away; Russia left the League of the Three Emperors (an alliance between Germany, Austria Hungary, and Russia). As a result, Germany and Austria formed the Dual Alliance of 1879 that stated, Should, [...] one of the two Empires be attacked by Russia the High Contracting Parties are bound to come to the assistance one of the other with the whole war strength of their Empires (Article I). Basically, if one of the two countries were attacked, the other would equally defend them. Similarly, Russia allied with France when the Franco Russian Entente in 1894 which progressed into the Triple Entente when Britain became involved. Evidently, Germany caused the division of world powers with their alliances which led to World War I. More specifically, when Austria Hungary went to war with Serbia after their archduke was assassinated, the two alliances clashed. Russia, who aided Serbia, had backup from France and Britain and Austria Hungary had Germany who was also allied with the Ottoman Empire. Seeing this caused both parties to declare major war, Germany s alliances did cause tension that resulted in World War ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although on the whole diversity spectrum it isn t, we see diversity in the age ranges of the jury members and in their different classes, and levels of education. The diversity helps the team in the aspect that it helps seem jury members see differently to others. It allowed some of them to give the defendant a chance and understand the circumstances he had be brought up in and the lifestyle he d lived in. An example would be when the kid was called slum by certain jury members whereas others gave him a chance. Only different upbringings and understandings would enable that understanding. 2) There were numerous examples of bias in the film. One example is when the defendant got labelled a delinquent , ...
