Red sea water samples polluted with Belayim Mix (BX) crude oil were collected from the Advanced

and stored at 4°C. Seawater (3.5%) was collected from Ain Sokhna beach, stored at 4°C and filtered
(0.45 µm) prior to use.
2.2. Isolation of crude oil degrading microbial strains
The microorganisms used in this study were isolated from oil contaminated seawater. The yeast
presented in the samples were enriched by cultivation in Wickerham broth medium (10 g glucose, 5 g
peptone, 3 g yeast extract, 3 g malt extract and distilled water up to 1 L; pH 6.2), while the fungal
strains were enriched in Sabouraud dextrose broth medium (20 g glucose, 10 g peptone, 5 g yeast

portion of coffee growers and their workers are exploited leading to the lack of fair trade.

with their families and rural workers produce over seventy percent of this labor. Most rural women

estimated that women produce between 60 and 80 percent of the food in most developing countries
