Distinctions between tax evasion, tax avoidance and tax planning are sometimes difficult to be
drawn in clear and precise manners. In general, however, tax evasion typically relates to illegal
practices done intentionally to avoid tax payment, whereas tax avoidance refers to legal
exploitations on the shortcomings of the tax legislations (Barkoczy 2015, p. 721; Leow, Murphy
Hooper 2010, p. 1026).
Generally, tax evasion involves concealment of tax liabilities, such as failure to disclose all
taxable income earned, and improper claims, such as deductions for expenses not incurred
(Barkoczy 2015, p. 721; ATO 2015a). Due to its legal implications, tax evasion is considered as
criminal offence and attracts pecuniary penalties and jail terms for the offenders (Barkoczy 2015,
p. 722). Conversely, tax avoidance, although uncommendable, is not illegal. Tax avoidance
typically involves taking advantage of concessional tax rates, shifting funds through several
entities to minimize tax payable (ATO 2015b), and exploiting tax breaks (ACTU 2011). Some
examples of tax evasion and avoidance practices can be seen from the following figure.

Personal Preparation My specialization paper will focus on the challenges faced by ethnic
minority supervisors in clinical supervision. My paper is guided by the courses I took in the
doctoral program, my personal experience as a supervisor and the gaps in literature review that
motivated me to pursue this area of research. In the past two and a half years of my doctoral
program, I took courses (advanced clinical supervision, advanced family counseling, and
independent research in multicultural counseling supervision, multicultural literature for children
and adolescents, and a course on survey design in educational research) to help me better

moved the ocean several meters vertically at the epicenter; this is enormous for tsunamis. In
some places the tsunami was as high as 15 meters but in many areas it just occured as a rushing
wall of water, more similar to a flood than waves. The ocean receded very far before rushing back
in, exposing fish and seafloor never seen before. This piqued the curiousity of many people thus
causing many more deaths than there would have been.

In one of the studies which is by Stagnitti and Lewis (2015), they mention that during pretend
play, the child will use an objects to symbolizes another objects, which the target child did. The
target child was using the long tape and pretend that it was a kite. Furthermore, in the studies by

Limitations. The level of my partner inter rater reliability is somewhat higher than 50 percent. I
felt that the timing was a little off on one of our time sampling. We were not allowed to bring our
cellphone to time so one of us have to keep an eye on the nearest clock in the area which causes
our discrepancies. Furthermore, for the time sampling, 30 seconds was to quick and short that I feel
like rushing.

As it was stated, Lincoln s victory was a hard one. With all his feuds with John C.
Breckinridge, Stephen Douglas, and John Bell over their individual thoughts on slavery. Since each
candidate was from a different area, such as the North and South, each candidate had their own
thought on slavery. For example, Abraham Lincoln was a northern Republican who disliked slavery
and thought it shouldn t be expanded furthermore. Stephen Douglas was a Democrat who thought
slavery should be limited. John C. Breckinridge had the exact opposite thoughts as Lincoln which is
why they had the most arguments, John was a southern Democrat who wanted slavery to expand
everywhere. John Bell was from the Constitutional Union and he thought that the issue over slavery
could be ignored. In the election of 1860, 25 states were involved. (Ground, Each candidate had
their own thoughts and would argue over whose thinking was the correct thinking. Although, the
election of 1860 was a huge argument, the election of 1864 was way more different. In the election
of 1864, there were only two candidates, Abraham Lincoln, our previous winner and George B.
McClellan. McClellan and Lincoln s thoughts were quite similar. Because of that, there were
limited arguments between the two. Abraham Lincoln won this election with 212 electoral votes
