Alternative rock fashion

1. Looking at the type of fashion associated with alternative
rock, I have decided for my music artists I am going to dress
them in dark clothing which I can see through my research
appears to be a big statement. I may include a denim jacket
but I feel I will look at this in more detail later on when I look
at who I will be featuring and whether this style will work
with their appearance. I am going to include red lipstick as I
feel it will be a nice counterbalance with the dark clothing
and I can see it is worn in my example images and I also feel
it will work with my future colour palette of black, white and
red for the front cover of my magazine. I am planning on
asking my models to wear black or grey clothing (typically
displayed in alternative rock fashion) without any slogans or
catchphrases on it as I feel this will take away the attention
from the statement the artist is presenting to the audience.
Also, alternative rock is about the individual having their
own fashion statement and not conforming to the trends so
I need to ensure this message is shown in the artist’s image
by presenting the fact they are dressing in the way they
want rather than dressing to what is seen as fashionable in
modern day society.
