Adaptation allows animals and plants to survive in their habitats by changing to suit the climate. Camels are well-adapted to desert life by storing water in their stomachs and humps and having wide feet to walk on sand and long eyelashes to protect their eyes from sun and sand. Penguins are adapted to swim efficiently by having streamlined bodies. Habitats provide the resources animals need, like deserts for camels and oceans for sharks.

1. What is adaptation? Adaptation is when a animal or plant cant survive in their habitat so they have to be adapted to suit there climate that they live in. 2. Habitat A habitat is where animal or human lives. A animals habitat needs has to suit the animal with its climate. Examples: A camel lives in a Desert A penguin lives in the Antarctic. A shark lives in the ocean

3. Food and shelter. Normally animals find there prey in the ground. Some are: herbivores(vegaterian))omnivore(plant eater) or a carnivore(eats anything). Example:a lion is a carnivore A camel is a omnivore.

5. How is a camel adapted? Because there is no water in the desert camels have to be especially adapted and can survive for up to seven days without water. Luckily they have flat spread out feet to stop them from sinking into the soft sand. They also have extremely long eyelashes to keep out the dusty sand and the flaming sun.

6. DON’T THEY DRINK ANY WATER??? Well camels store plenty of water in there gutsbecause there’s no water in the desert. Also there humps are huge because they have got a layer of fat in it!
