Adaptation allows animals and plants to survive in their habitats by changing to suit the climate. Camels are well-adapted to desert life by storing water in their stomachs and humps and having wide feet to walk on sand and long eyelashes to protect their eyes from sun and sand. Penguins are adapted to swim efficiently by having streamlined bodies. Habitats provide the resources animals need, like deserts for camels and oceans for sharks.

5. How is a camel adapted?Because there is no water in the desert camels have to be especially adapted and can survive for up to seven days without water. Luckily they have flat spread out feet to stop them from sinking into the soft sand.They also have extremely long eyelashes to keep out the dusty sand and the flaming sun.

6. DON’T THEY DRINK ANY WATER???Well camels store plenty of water in there gutsbecause there’s no water in the desert. Also there humps are huge because they have got a layer of fat in it!
