This document discusses the key agents of socialization which are the people or groups that influence our self-concept, emotions, attitudes, and behaviors. It identifies the main agents of socialization as the family, school, peer group, mass media, religion, and work place. Each agent socializes individuals in different ways such as the family teaching functions and care, school teaching subjects and life skills, and peer groups allowing discussion of interests.

role in socialization
of most people.
•Religion especially
influences morality
but also ideas about
dress, speech, and
manners that are
appropriate.
