Pashtun is the largest with 42% of the population. Afghanistan’s official
languages are Dari and Pashto and around 33% of Afghanis speak Dari
as their first language. An overwhelming majority of Afghanistan’s
citizens are Muslim and some are Sunni or Shia religion.
Climate
Usually Afghanistan’s climate is very dry and seasonal. The rugged and
mountainous terrain combined with the different seasons and weather,
gives very little chance to successfully grow crops. Another thing that
makes it hard to grow crops is that Afghanistan has desert sandstorms
that reach up to 177 kilometers per hour.

The population of Afghanistan is estimated at 32.7 million. Over 3.5
million Afghan citizens live abroad as refugees. The capital of
Afghanistan is a city called Kabul. With a population of 1,780,000
people. Afghanistan’s total land area is 647,000 square kilometers. Over
40,000 U.S troops are now entering Afghanistan as it was requested by
the top general in Afghanistan. Around 80% of U.S military casualties
in Afghanistan are due to terrorism or explosions.
