1. MLCC stands for Multi Layer Ceramic Capacitor, which are widely used in electronic devices with approximately 250 components per mobile phone. 2. MLCCs are classified based on their dielectric properties and temperature range and can have capacitance values currently in the pF to 1μF range but nearing 50μF in the future. 3. Miniaturization of MLCCs is an ongoing technical trend, with common size codes decreasing from 1005 to 0603 and nearing 0402 to increase capacitance in smaller volumes.
