Moral Story Of Cinderella
Many times, people dream of being the protagonists of a Disney movie and thus live in a fantasy
world where they are happy forever. It is easy to create the illusion that in the world of princesses
everything is perfect and beautiful. In fact, behind these stories hides a reproduction of the purest and
harsh truth of the real life in which we live, where events they are not isolated, and they all have a
direct impact on people s lives and change them either positively or negatively. So, are these fairy
tales true stories of happiness?
The film Cinderella tells the story of a lovely girl with a very pure heart who had everything in life.
She was pleased, had a beautiful family, a house, and goods, and most importantly, much love.
Although her family possessed some riches, she was raised in an environment of kindness, kindness,
compassion, and love for the animals she considered her friends, especially the little mice. When his
mother dies, her father marries a kind woman with two daughters and a cat, or at least that was what
he thought about his new wife, whom Cinderella warmly receives at home. Cinderella s stepmother
pretended all along to be an adorable housewife capable not only of being a good mother to her own
daughters but to the daughter of her husband. Everything changes the day Cinderella s father passed
away. From that moment, the girl begins to be a victim of abuse, mistreatment, and humiliations of her
evil stepmother and her spoiled and jealous stepsisters.

The Government of Lao PDR and Ethnic Minorities
Since the end of the Cold War, the government of Lao PDR (GoL) promoted internal resettlement of
indigenous ethnic minorities from remote highlands to lowland areas and along roads as an effort to
make the delivery of government services such as health care and education more cost efficient.
Though the government considers resettlement a voluntary choice on the part of the village, the
government implements incentives for villages to resettle such as healthcare and disincentives for
villages to remain in the highland such as destruction of agriculture as an attempt to encourage
resettlement. But, internal resettlement had a devastating impact on the health of the relocated
minorities and the healthcare promised by the government was inadequate and in some places
nonexistent. To promote rural development, the Lao PDR government incentivized the resettlement of
ethnic minorities from the mountainous highlands to the lowlands as a way of improving the minority
s access to health care, but suppressed immune systems suppressed from malnutrition and exposure to
malaria ultimately increased mortality among those who resettled.
As a strategy for rural development, the government of Lao PDR encouraged the resettlement of
villages with the idea that the resettlement would allow the government to provide services more cost
effectively than traveling to the mountainous communities as had been done in the past. Post Cold
War, rural Lao PDR where the ethnic minorities resided was

Eleanor Roosevelt s Role Of Women
While I spoke there was complete silence. It was striking after the pandemonium that had existed....on
several occasions [Franklin] said to others, Her speech was just right (Roosevelt 217 218). The
unprecedented amount of attention and respect given to the First Lady at the 1940 Democratic
National Committee in Chicago while she gave her speech speaks numbers to the colossal impact that
Eleanor Roosevelt had on people (Roosevelt 216 218). No other First Lady before Eleanor had taken
as many steps as she did to improve the nation. She helped to pave the way for future women,
redefining feminism and aiding in the progress of improving the lives of those in both the United
States and abroad (First Lady Biography: Eleanor Roosevelt). Coming from beginnings filled with
public service, not only did Eleanor Roosevelt drastically change the role of the First Lady, but she
also modernized the role of women in society through all stages of her life. Very early I became
conscious of the fact that there were people around me who suffered in one way or another (Roosevelt
12). Even from an early age, Eleanor surrounded herself with opportunities to serve others. This early
exposure to public service led her to continuously help others around her. When her husband, Franklin
Roosevelt was appointed Assistant Navy Secretary in 1913 under the Wilson administration, Eleanor
became actively involved with two organizations in particular working to bring aid to those in need,

Relationships In Interracial Relationships
With interracial relationships growing widely throughout the country, many are becoming accepting of
the change. On the other hand, racism and prejudice gloom over many individuals and their beliefs.
Not believing in the amalgamation of races due to religion and family beliefs. Deep down they live in
hypocrisy, as they too are from amalgamation of either race or ethnicity. With this being said, their
views are used to purify the white race and manipulate those who do not know better into thinking that
race mixing is bad; however, most people are the product of amalgamation. When it comes to
interracial relationships, political parties play a huge part. For one, studies reveal that 8% of

Furthermore, with most black men marrying white women, this becomes a conflict for black women,
hence why they are against black white interracial marriages. It has brought a concern to the black
community because the marriageable pool is so small. With this being said, black women have voiced
their opinion, With relatively fewer suitable black men in the dating pool, some black women have
expressed resentment that so many black men (8.4 percent) marry white women. They accuse these
men of using white women as a status symbol (Gale). According to most black women, many believe
that the reason for a woman of a different race dating a black man is the purpose of absolving them
from racism; thus, the reason for a black male to marry a woman is for a social symbol. With this
being said, most black women find themselves struggling to find a man of their own race due to
women of other race taking potential partners in their racial group. Some women of color object
interracial relationships because black men tend to be more attracted to other races, leading them to be
ashamed of their culture. This furthers their perspective on miscegenation, as most feel that they have
struggled enough in the hands of other

Essay On Ear Cropping
For years, society has the controversy of allowing veterinarians to legally perform ear cropping and
tail docking as a cosmetic surgery on dogs or perceived as crossing the line of animal cruelty; yet, the
aspect of animal cruelty comes into action after surgery, during the recovering process of taping and
bandaging that sometimes needs to be done after the surgery amounts to animal cruelty and is
indefensible (Dunn) [Figure 1]. In other words, your companion has to go through a painful recovery
that is inhumane in order for the results to turn out normal , and it cannot be denied. This does not
include the unexpected future risk and problems that could arise at any moment just to change your
dog s appearance. Although animals cannot express their opinion, research suggests not to allow
owners to perform tail docking and ear cropping procedures on their dog because of the risk and
health problems affiliated with this painful procedure.
The practice performed by a professionally trained veterinarian is greatly debated, but it gained a
major breakthrough in 2008 when the AVMA announced it has denounced the practice of ear cropping
and tail docking, due to the concern of performing such an intense surgery for a cosmetic purpose
instead of an advised medical reason that contains no benefits determined by a professional (Becker).

restricting or banning entirely the unnecessary

Sonnet 6 Analysis
Aj Giosa Mr. Foley Sonnet 6 Explication 26 November 2017 Sonnet 6 is notable for the ingenious
multiplying of conceits and especially for the concluding pun on a legal will in the final couplet: Be
not self willed, for thou art much too fair / To be death s conquest and make worms thine heir. Here, as
earlier in the sonnet, the poet juxtaposes the themes of narcissism and death, as well as procreation.
Self willed echoes line 4 s self killed, and the worms that destroy the young man s dead body will be
his only heirs should he die without begetting a child which shows the theme of death. The whole
sonnet is about trying to persuade the man to have a baby hence the theme if procreation. And lastly,
the man is being selfish in wanting to die without passing on his beauty. The sonnet continues from
sonnet 5 and is telling a young man to not let his wintery old age destroy his summer beauty. Meaning
he should have children to pass down his good genes before he passes away along with his beauty. In
the middle of the sonnet where the volta begins at line 6, talking about giving your body to a woman
will make her happy and she will repay you with a baby. Now the real turn is having a baby or thyself
breed another thee which is line 7. In the beginning of the poem having a child was about passing on
his beauty rather than being happy. The new point is to make a new you so you keep living and
conquer death. On to the end of the sonnet at line 11,which emphasizes the new

Legislative Framework Essay
Understand the current legislative framework and organisational health, safety and risk management
policies, procedures and practices that are relevant to health, and social care or children and young
people s settings.
1.1 Explain the legislative framework for health, safety and risk management in the work setting.
The Health and safety at work act was implemented in 1974 and was amended again in 2008 to ensure
that any individual undertaking any type of work within any workplace is protected as much as
practically possible. The Health and Safety at Work Act is there to provide institutional structure and a
legal framework for health and safety regulation.

The department co ordinator and programme manager will identify any areas of concern or health and
safety issues and take appropriate action to reduce the risk so far which is reasonably practicable and
advocate good practise to maintain safety. Monthly Health and Safety and Infection Control meetings
are common practice and there to address issues that may cause risk or harm to others which then
provide opportunity to put safeguards in place to reduce the risks.
To enforce the health and safety law there are inspectors such as the Health and Safety Executive
(HSE) and Care Quality Commission (CQC) who have important statutory powers when inspecting
workplaces. They can enter premises without warning and if they are not happy with the health and
safety standards they can offer information, issue improvement notices stating what needs to be put
right and also with a time scale. If the inspectors really are not happy then they can also issue a
prohibition notice stopping activity either with immediate effect or a deferred effect and prosecute the

On the other hand, addition of probiotic had no significant effect (P 0.05) on shell hardness and shell
thickness and these were expected which have already been reported (Haddadin et al., 1996; Chen and
Chen 2003). Although, the increase of albumen quality wasn t significant (P 0.05), no reasonable
explanation can be offered for the improvement in albumen quality in the microbial additive groups.
Jensen et al. (1978) found significant improvements in interior egg quality which measured by Hough
Units in hens fed distillers feeds and corn fermentation soluble. Subsequent studies indicated that trace
elements was been involved (Jensen and Maurice, 1978). But Tortuero and Fernandez (1995)

supplementation. Addition of probiotic had significant effect on egg yolk cholesterol (mg /g of yolk).
Haddadin et al. (1996) observed similar results. They reported that inclusion of probiotic lactobacillus
acidophilus in different ages (40, 44 and 48 week) affects egg cholesterol in 40 week of production not
44 and 48. These results have already been confirmed by Marks and Washburn (1991) reports.

In addition to this, the Animals are not only demeaned, but also beaten and brutalized. During Fiyero s

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Natural Rubber

This is because natural rubber contain large stretch ratio and high resilience and it is waterproof.
Rubber have unique physical properties and chemical properties. Rubber s stress strain is modelled as

Due to the particle size of carbon black it contain some risk. This can caused lung disease because of
the combustion of carbon black at the workplace. It will release some dust may produce discomfort to
the upper respiratory tract. On the other hand, carbon black is not easily biodegradable. Carbon black
is expensive compared to other material.
There are reasons why natural rubber was chosen to make part of tyres. The first reason is natural
rubber has high tensile strength. Because of this high tensile strength natural rubber can hold shape
and is more flexible. Second, natural rubber is more environmental friendly compared to synthetic
rubber. This is because it is originally derived from latex which produced from tree. Besides, natural
rubber is a biodegradable material. It can be degrade rapidly especially under some extreme conditions
such as soil. Soil contain some microorganism, bacteria or fungi it help to degrade rubber.
The reason for choosing carbon black as addition material in fillers is it has decreased rolling
resistance. Other than that, carbon black is also help to extend the life of the tyres by conducting heat
away from the tread and the belt area. These can directly contributed to reductions in greenhouse gas
emissions. Carbon black also acts as a pigment, while made the rubber become black so the tyres is

Informative Essay On Mexican Food
A lot of Americans think they know Mexican food. An occasional trip down to Taco Bell, Chipotle or
Baja Fresh is the limit of most people s education. Why go any further? What is there to know beyond
nachos drizzled with cheese and jalapenos, tacos soaked full of beef and sour cream and burritos,
approaching the size of infant children, stuffed full of pork and cooked in a deep fryer? Sadly, calling
this Mexican food is a bit more than just a stretch. It s pretty much an embellishment from top to
bottom. Do you honestly think most Mexicans eat this type of cuisine that Americans flock towards?
Authentic Mexican cuisine shares similar roots to much of the Mexican American and Tex Mex foods

what s authentic and what s familiar. Here is a brief rundown of some of the history behind Mexico s

Employee Relationships And Patient Satisfaction
Introduction
Employee engagement surveys are probably the most common way leaders can understand what their
employees are thinking about their jobs and the organization. Currently ninety two percent of
companies use this method. (Hadjistoyanova, 2016) In the healthcare setting there is a direct link
between employee attitudes and patient satisfaction. (Powell, 2001) Improving patient satisfaction is
critical. Hospital reimbursement rate from Medicare and Medicaid revolves around the Hospital
Consumer Assessment of Healthcare providers and Systems (HCAHPS), the federal system that
monitors patient satisfaction and patient readmission rate. (HCAHPS, 2016) Without employee
engagement, you re never going to get the kind of ultimate patient experience you re hoping for says
Mike Packnett, CEO of Parkview Health. (Kruse, 2015)
Employee satisfaction doesn t necessarily mean employees are engaged. Employees can be happy,
show up for work daily, but that doesn t mean they are being productive or mindful of patient s needs.
When employees are engaged, they care. Examples would be a hospital employee making eye contact
with visitors and patients, another would be a night shift worker being aware of quiet time during their
shift. (Kruse, 2015) Leaders need to know what drives employees engagement. Leaders that behave
consistently with the organizations core values and show a sincere interest in the employee s well
being have been a link to improving employee engagement.

Crossing boundaries also heard in the Song Love Story by Taylor swift. This song relates back to the

Persuasive Essay On Bicycle Safety
It has been asserted many times by mothers and law enforcement that people should use a bicycle
helmet, but many ignore the tip and increase the danger they face on a bike. Surprisingly in California
only those under 18 must wear a helmet (Coalition), but even adults should wear them as the chance
of injury increases when riding without one. The reasons why those under 18 have to wear a helmet
are reasonable as the organization KidsHealth in the article Bike safety informs people that Every
year, about 300,000 kids go to the emergency department because of bike injuries, and at least 10,000
kids have injuries that require a few days in the hospital. Some of these injuries are so serious that
children die, usually from head injuries . Death is a big reason to cause the law to require kids to wear
helmet, so all cyclists who wish to ride safely should wear a helmet regardless of age. It is such an
important piece of gear that bicycle safety is almost impossible to think of without also thinking about
a bike helmet. As in D. K. Howe s article Bicycle Safety the United States Safety Administration
provides the tip, Wear a properly fitted helmet. It is the single most important piece of safety
equipment you can use .
Now that the importance of following laws and wearing a helmet have been addressed, it is time
bicyclist are aware of keeping a well maintained bike to lower the amount of accidents even more.
Safety is not all about keeping the head secured and knowing what

The Oppression Of Girls
I feel that girls encounter more obstacles and provisions, thus growing up is more difficult for them.
For one, society put a lot of emphasis on how a girl should behave and how she should look like. This
puts so much pressure on girls to conform to what society expects them to be. This often affects a girl
s self image resulting in low self esteem and insecurities.
I also feel that girls have the burden to work harder in various areas (not just in academics) to prove
that they are as capable, and that they can be as successful as the boys. In a gender biased society,
boys are often favored as the torch bearers, and girls feel the need to perform comparatively well to
prove that they are not the weaklings society viewed them to be. The

The Theory Of Perception Of The Existence Of God
In Principles of Human Knowledge, Berkeley posits the doctrine of idealism largely in response to the
theory of perception connected to representationalism. While the representationalist would agree that
only sensory ideas can be immediately perceived, Berkeley s view dramatically differs from
representationalism in that he denies the existence of material objects and, consequently, the causal
role they are presumed to hold in producing sensations (Heide 15 Sept). Berkeley takes this
immaterialist position to undoubtedly prove the existence of God while attributing to him a properly
significant causal relationship to sensible ideas. It will be appropriate to assume that immaterialism is
true, as his argument for God s role in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An idea is dependent on the mind of the perceiver, meaning that all components of that idea must be
perceivable by nature. The idea, the perceived, is distinct from the perceiver in that there is no power
or agency existing in it. Since it is impossible for an idea to do anything, or, strictly speaking, to be the
cause of anything: neither can it be the resemblance or pattern of any active being (34; sec. 25).
Berkeley s argument here is simple, yet highly intuitive. It makes little sense to claim that something
mind dependent could contain anything, like agency, that could escape the perception of the mind! If
there was agency in an idea, it would be a clearly perceivable aspect of it, and surely ideas cannot do
anything and perform actions, being fundamentally different than minds.
Evidently something causes sensations, as Berkeley points out they are constantly appearing, altering
and ceasing to be. If physical objects are nonexistent, and ideas cannot be causally active, he insists
that incorporeal active substance or spirit is all that remains (35; sec. 26). Spirit is defined as unified,
possessing two powers: the understanding and the will, the first which perceives ideas while the
second produces and otherwise operates about them (35; sec. 27). Berkeley examines his own spirit as
the next contender for the cause of his sensible ideas, rejecting this proposal on the basis that he does
not bring about

Analysis Of The Man From Snowy River By Banjo Paterson
The Man From Snowy River by Banjo Paterson 1. Andrew Barton Paterson, more commonly known
as Banjo Paterson, was a famous Australian poet who was born on the 17th February, 1863. He spent
his early life at a farm near Yass, in between Melbourne and Sydney. His early education came from a
governess, but as soon as he was able to ride a pony by himself, he was taught at a school in Binalong.
At 11, Paterson went to Sydney Grammar School whilst his family was living in Gladesville. He left
SCS at 16 after failing an examination. From 1885, he started having poetry published in Australian
magazine, The Bulletin, where he first coined the pseudonym Banjo , the name of his favourite horse.
In 1899, Paterson became a war correspondent for multiple newspapers, but in 1908, he decided to
take a break from journalism writing and focus more on his poetry. In WWI, Paterson served as an
ambulance driver and returned to Australia in 1919. His third collection of poetry, Saltbush Bill JP,
was published soon after. Paterson died of a heart attack in 1941, just 12 days before his 77th birthday.
2. The Man from Snowy River tells the story of a horse that escapes from a ranch. The owner offers a
lot of money to capture the prized possession and so many drovers set off to capture the horse. The
drovers pursue the horse across the country, but are defeated by the rough terrain. Then the Man from
Snowy River steps up and charges down the slope. He is lost to view by the rest of the group, but
reappears later, tired and battered, with the horse trailing behind him. 3. The Man from Snowy River
holds plenty of language devices that help capture the mood and setting of the poem. The old man
with his hair as white as snow makes use of simile to help describe one of the men on a horse. The
simile makes the line more interesting and less monotonous by showing what he looks like rather than
straight out telling. The man is made out to be strong and fierce but the similarity of his hair and snow
juxtaposes this power as snow is thought to be delicate and beautiful. Another technique is the
metaphor And the stock horse snuffs the battle with delight. This hints that the drovers must be
prepared for the dangerous job ahead of them, if

The Social History Of Medicine
Earlier issues of SHM include articles that are profoundly insistent upon the importance of history
from below in developing and constituting understandings of health and medicine. As these articles
were primarily structured and written during the cultural and linguistic turn in historical analysis it is
clear that they present arguments that aim to revise modernist approaches to the social history of
medicine. Most of which are interested in the history of published medical texts or the views of the
medical elite. The article by Liora Navon, Beggars, Metaphors, and Stigma: A Missing Link in the
Social History of Leprosy outlines the need for the adoption of a history from below perspective in
addressing understandings of leprosy in Thailand. Her article states that the interviews conducted for
this study with patients diagnosed before the 1950s and their offspring reveal that, unlike their
portrayal in archival sources, manifestations of extremely negative or positive attitudes were quite
rare. Similarly Peter Elmer s review of Medicine and the Market in England and Its Colonies, c.1450
c. 1850, by Mark S. R. Jenner and Patrick Wallis argues that their work attributes a link between the
creation of a medical marketplace with a reorientation towards the role of the patient in medical
transactions . Found even within the title of the article Speed in the Third Reich: Metamphetamine

Thampso Thompson Abortion
Abortion is highly controversial and there is quite the debate over the ethics of abortion. The question
is does the fetus have the same rights as an adult, so that it has the same right to not be killed. There
are many debates on whether or not a fetus is human. Those who believe that there is no life related to
a fetus then they believe that it has no rights. On the flip side, others may argue that abortion is the
killing of an innocent human life. The question, When does life begin? appears over and over again
throughout these debates and within cultures.Thompson believes that the question of whether a fetus
have the same rights as a human being is irrelevant. Even if the fetus had all the rights of an adult
human being, it would still be permissible to abort it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The dying violist scenario of finding yourself attached to a violinist. The violinist had to be connected
to your circulatory systems to live and taking him off would kill him. You must be connected to him

the right to go against this unauthorized connection. So realistically it is believed that when
contraception fails, this is an unauthorized human being attached for 9 months. Rape could be put in
this scenario, as well. In the example of the people seeds, people seeds take on the characteristics of
pollen. The people seeds may float in through a window onto the carpets. So when this happens, you
would put up the finest mesh screens. In an highly uncommon scenario, the mesh was defected and a
people seed implants itself in the home. So this brings up the question whether or not a person plant

The Problems Of Bread And The French Revolution At Bordeaux
Brace, Richard Munthe. The Problems of Bread and the French revolution at Bordeaux. The American
Historical Review 51, no. 4 (1946): 649 667.
Hard labor and low wages where common for the peasants of France during the revolutionary years.
Bordeaux a city in France was well known for its success in exports and imports. The ports of
Bordeaux where considered the best than any other city in France. Its yield of profit was significantly
more than any other city. The upper class prospered and working and peasantry suffered intense labor.
Brace argues that despite low wages and hard labor they were not the cause of the upcoming
revolution in 1789. Brace argues that high prices of bread and scarcity of grain due to bad harvests
where the cause of the civil unrest. Subsistence for peasantry was largely dependent on bread. When
the bread ran and out and starvation became a problem the working class looked to the government for
relief. Brace goes in depth on the government s failure to fix its grain problem, regulate bread prices,
and feed it citizens. Bread is the staple food of the majority of France, without it revolution was
inevitable.

Dust Bowl Research Paper
The Dust Bowl
The air is just full of dirt coming, literally, for hundreds of miles. It shifts into everything...
A quote from the diary of Ann Marie Low describing the powerful dust storms that she experienced
firsthand on her parents farm in the Great Plains.
During the 1930s, the southern regions of the Great Plains became known as the Dust Bowl due to the
severe droughts and dust storms that plagued this region experienced. Part of this occurrence can be
attributed to the farmers because, throughout the 1920s, many farmers had exhausted their farmland
through the overproduction of crops and destruction of the protective layer of prairie grasses by
plowing. This created several issues during the early 1930s when high winds and a drought hit the
region. With few trees to hold the eroded soil in place, the winds created massive dust storms that
spanned hundreds of miles. These storms, combined with the draught, devastated farmers and many
were forced to move further west. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The economic climate of the Great Depression intensified the effects of the Dust Bowl as many famers
were already struggling to repay debts and a loss of profits due to overproduction after World War I.
Some farmers were even evicted after they could not repay their debts. Such conditions led to a mass
migration of rural farmers to the western regions of the country. Most migrants, referred to
derogatively as Okies , followed Route 66 to California and other West Coast states. An estimated 2.5
million rural farmers migrated west during the 1930s and most found work as ranch hands or in the
agriculture industry. However, these migrants were discriminated against and faced both poor wages
and unsanitary living

The New U.s. Shipping Act Of 1984
The new U.S. Shipping Act, signed into law by President Reagan on March 10, 1984. The Shipping

which the Shipping Act of 1984 were different were that markets, industry, microeconomics, law, and

1981, Senator Gorton introduced a bill (S. 1593) to revise U.S. regulation of international liner

Although U.S. law has acknowledged the constructive role of conferences in the liner trades since the
Shipping Act of 1916, the American commitment to free trade and competition has led Congress to
disallow many features of international conferences. Most importantly, the Shipping Act of 1916
required shipping conferences transporting the foreign commerce of the United States to offer
membership to any liner carrier capable of engaging in such service. U.S. conferences are therefore
termed open conferences . A conference agreement had to meet a strict antitrust standard in order to be

S. 1593 provided for the following:
(1) Legalization of closed conferences.
(2) A broad scope of conference activities to enable carriers to discuss and fix prices and conditions of

The National Plan Of Integrated Airport Systems
The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) forever changed the way airports were
classified when it was unveiled in 1982 (Wells, 2011). The aviation industry had grown significantly
since deregulation went into effect, and a new system needed to be put in place that would distinguish
airports with incredible growth and expansion from those that served niche markets or flight training
(Wells). Under the NPIAS, airports were broken down into three major categories: commercial
services airports, reliever airports, and general aviation airports (Wells). The following paragraphs
describe the three categories of airports that were created by the NPIAS, and conclude with an airport
that fits into that particular category today.
Commercial Services Airport When the general public thinks about airports, chances are they will
imagine an airport that fits into this category. Commercial services airports are defined in our text as
those airports that accommodate scheduled air carrier service, provided by the world s certificated air
carriers (Wells). These are the airports that move passengers and cargo across the United States and
the world. Commercial services airports are not created equal, however, which is why they are further
broken down into different categories of hubs. They range from large hub airports that account for at
least 1 percent of the total passenger enplanements in the United States to medium and small hub
airports that account for less and

What Is The Biggest Industrial Revolution In The Uk
The Biggest Industrial Revolution in the United Kingdom.
The biggest changes of industries happened about 200 years ago. It appeared in the United Kingdom
at first and spread throughout the entire world. At that time, a lot of things changed quickly. Therefore,
it is called the Industrial Revolution. The three biggest changes which were the improvement of the
spinning machine, the growth of the steel manufacturing and the development of the steam engine
were important during the Industrial Revolution in the United Kingdom.
First, the spinning machine was improved rapidly. In the United Kingdom, wool and cotton fabrics
were chief exports. Nevertheless, it took a lot of time to make them because it was handmade and had
to be made by a group of two people. However, in 1773, John Kay invented the flying shuttle which
made possible to do only one operator. About 30 years later, the spinning jenny was invited by
Hargreaves. It could spin about 80 threads per person, and this was the beginning of the technological
innovation. In 1769, Arkwright developed the first water powered spinning machine which used water

time. Therefore, the Watt steam engine was promoted other

Essay about Indentured Servant and the Company Town
A labourer under contract to work for an employer for a specific amount of time is a bonded labourer
also known as a Indentured Servant. Typically the employer provided little or no monetary pay, but
was responsible for accommodation, food, other essentials, training and when applicable passage to a
new country. Upon completion of the term of the contract the labourer sometimes received a lump
sum payment such as a parcel of land and was free to farm or take up trade of his own. In other words

After indentures were forbidden, the passage had to be prepaid, giving rise to the inhumane conditions
of Irish coffin ships in the second half of the 19th century. Indentured Servitude was used by the

The Company Town
The company town was an economic institution that was part of the market for labor. In a company
town a single firm provided its employees with goods and services, hired police, collected garbage,
dispensed justice, and answered (or failed to answer) complaints from residents. The economy of the
company town was totally privatized community services that today are provided by municipal
governments were provided by the profit maximizing firm, which ran the company town. Property
rights were defined in such a way that companies could exclude competition by other firms that
wished to provide goods and services to their employees.
Although company towns were most closely associated with the coal mining industry it should be
noted that they existed in a number of other industries. For example, Homestead, Pennsylvania was a
company town situated next to the Homestead Steel Mill. Similarly, Pullman, Illinois was a company
town for workers employed at the factory that produced Pullman railroad cars. Because of large and
persistent labor struggles associated with the coal industry the focus of interest, both historical and
scholarly, has been on coal company

The Need For Sex Therapy
The Need for Sex Therapy As research suggests, sex therapy can be an effective mode of treatment for
many issues in regards to sexual activity. From an outsider s perspective, it may be hard to understand
the process of sex therapy ad what it is used for. I would assume that people might think sex therapy is
for pedophiles or rapist, trying to control their urges . However, sex therapy is more than just for that
reason, it can be a healing process for those who have been abused or even a building bock for a
couple to improve their sexual relationship. As therapist, this is where education comes in. I believe
that if more people understood, the benefits of sex therapy the more they would promote the use of it
in treatment. In this paper, I will explain the need of sex therapy and describe what it would look like
in a therapeutic setting. In addition, I will provide a faith integration component in treatment.

therapy, I think I would focus on major factors of how it can be beneficial to people. I think when
people hear the term sex therapy; there is a common stigma that it is only used for pedophiles or

I would explain that it could be a healing process for couples that are having marital issues or people

Analysis Of Before I Fall
Before I Fall directed by Ry Russo Young and written by Maria Maggenti is a teen drama film
released in 2017 that is about a teenage girl who lives the same day over and over again. Despite
having a compelling lead performance played by Zoe Deutch and a powerful soundtrack full of
ballads, Before I Fall still took a turn with a generic plot line, choppy dialogue and cliché. Although I
loved the performance given by Deutch and how she was able to show the characters development

Sam s whole story is that she s a mean girl who realizes that maybe she shouldn t be mean to people.
(by the way it took her too long to figure out that maybe Juliet was the reason she was living the same

stop bullying Juliet or try to befriend her. Instead, she presents this half played, pitiful redemption that
leaves the audience thinking that it was an act of heroism (I begged a differ).
There are moments in Before I Fall where the dialogue lacked intelligence. It was almost as if the
director wanted to be quick and get to the point of creating a movie that deals with time loop, and not
think twice about whether the dialogue should make sense. There s a scene in the movie where Sam is
thinking back on the last 24 hours of her life before the car accident where her and the other three girls

Analysis Of Kenneth Branagh s Much Ado About Nothing
Kenneth Branagh s Much Ado About Nothing is remarkably different in tone from the other plays
discussed. Unlike the other two comedies, Taming of the Shrew and Merchant of Venice, there are far
fewer comedic aspects that do not translate well to modern audiences. The film has much less violence
in it than the others and even its chief villain is more like a cartoon villain than an outright evil
manipulator.
The tragedies are known for their fascinatingly complex villains such as Richard III or Iago, but
Keanu Reeves Don John comes across as a character lost in the wrong movie. He lurks in the shadows
and is not really given a compelling motive for his cruel actions. He does not even enact the rare few
scenes of violence in the film. In a different play, the ineffectual portrayal of the villain could ruin the
whole production, but Branagh understands that Much Ado About Nothing s most important parts are
the dynamics between the two sets of couples, something this film does quite well.
It is this toning down of violence and dark undertones that allows the film to be so successful. Claudio
s striking of Hero is the most noticeable physical violence and it is quickly followed by a romantic
scene between Beatrice and Benedick to restore the tone. It comes across well as a modern romantic
comedy, with just enough darkness to drive the plot forward. To make the film darker than it has to be
would diminish how enjoyable and fun to watch it is.

These are but a few of the fantastical tales that helped mesmerize readers of the late Middle Ages.
However, Mandeville was not concerned with whether his tales were believable or not. His purpose,
more so than a guide to travel for your average citizen, was to show people that there were others in
this world with thoughts and ideas and maybe those thoughts and ideas deserved some merit.
Throughout his book, Mandeville is very specific about morals and values, especially Christian morals
and values. In Chapter 32, he tells of the Isle of Bragman and the people who live there who are not
Christians. He says In this land are no thieves, no murderers, no prostitutes, no liars, no beggars; they
are men as pure in conversation and as clean living as if they were men of religion . (p. 178)
Mandeville believed that God loved them because they were good people, despite the fact that they
were not Christians. He tells us of Christian men: Jacobites, Saracens, Surrianes, Arians, Nubians,
Indians and Georgienes who have different laws and customs, but all believe in God although their
rites and beliefs may be different than your own. Mandeville was calling on Christians to reform and
wake up! Judge not!

The documentary Visions of Light was made for the purpose of showing the art of cinematography.
Cinematography was defined throughout the film as the making of a motion picture. I found out that I

The Government of Lao PDR and Ethnic Minorities Since the end of the Cold War, the government of Lao PDR (GoL) promoted internal resettlement of indigenous ethnic minorities from remote highlands to lowland areas and along roads as an effort to make the delivery of government services such as health care and education more cost efficient. Though the government considers resettlement a voluntary choice on the part of the village, the government implements incentives for villages to resettle such as healthcare and disincentives for villages to remain in the highland such as destruction of agriculture as an attempt to encourage resettlement. But, internal resettlement had a devastating impact on the health of the relocated minorities and the healthcare promised by the government was inadequate and in some places nonexistent. To promote rural development, the Lao PDR government incentivized the resettlement of ethnic minorities from the mountainous highlands to the lowlands as a way of improving the minority s access to health care, but suppressed immune systems suppressed from malnutrition and exposure to malaria ultimately increased mortality among those who resettled. As a strategy for rural development, the government of Lao PDR encouraged the resettlement of villages with the idea that the resettlement would allow the government to provide services more cost effectively than traveling to the mountainous communities as had been done in the past. No other First Lady before Eleanor had taken as many steps as she did to improve the nation. She helped to pave the way for future women, redefining feminism and aiding in the progress of improving the lives of those in both the United States and abroad (First Lady Biography: Eleanor Roosevelt). Coming from beginnings filled with public service, not only did Eleanor Roosevelt drastically change the role of the First Lady, but she also modernized the role of women in society through all stages of her life. Very early I became conscious of the fact that there were people around me who suffered in one way or another (Roosevelt 12). Even from an early age, Eleanor surrounded herself with opportunities to serve others. This early exposure to public service led her to continuously help others around her. Essay On Ear Cropping For years, society has the controversy of allowing veterinarians to legally perform ear cropping and tail docking as a cosmetic surgery on dogs or perceived as crossing the line of animal cruelty; yet, the aspect of animal cruelty comes into action after surgery, during the recovering process of taping and bandaging that sometimes needs to be done after the surgery amounts to animal cruelty and is indefensible (Dunn) [Figure 1]. In other words, your companion has to go through a painful recovery that is inhumane in order for the results to turn out normal , and it cannot be denied. This does not include the unexpected future risk and problems that could arise at any moment just to change your dog s appearance. Although animals cannot express their opinion, research suggests not to allow owners to perform tail docking and ear cropping procedures on their dog because of the risk and health problems affiliated with this painful procedure. The practice performed by a professionally trained veterinarian is greatly debated, but it gained a major breakthrough in 2008 when the AVMA announced it has denounced the practice of ear cropping and tail docking, due to the concern of performing such an intense surgery for a cosmetic purpose instead of an advised medical reason that contains no benefits determined by a professional (Becker). • 9. Sonnet 6 Analysis Aj Giosa Mr. Foley Sonnet 6 Explication 26 November 2017 Sonnet 6 is notable for the ingenious multiplying of conceits and especially for the concluding pun on a legal will in the final couplet: Be not self willed, for thou art much too fair / To be death s conquest and make worms thine heir. Here, as earlier in the sonnet, the poet juxtaposes the themes of narcissism and death, as well as procreation. Self willed echoes line 4 s self killed, and the worms that destroy the young man s dead body will be his only heirs should he die without begetting a child which shows the theme of death. The whole sonnet is about trying to persuade the man to have a baby hence the theme if procreation. And lastly, the man is being selfish in wanting to die without passing on his beauty. The sonnet continues from sonnet 5 and is telling a young man to not let his wintery old age destroy his summer beauty. Meaning he should have children to pass down his good genes before he passes away along with his beauty. In the middle of the sonnet where the volta begins at line 6, talking about giving your body to a woman will make her happy and she will repay you with a baby. Now the real turn is having a baby or thyself breed another thee which is line 7. In the beginning of the poem having a child was about passing on his beauty rather than being happy. The new point is to make a new you so you keep living and conquer death. On to the end of the sonnet at line 11,which emphasizes the new ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They can enter premises without warning and if they are not happy with the health and safety standards they can offer information, issue improvement notices stating what needs to be put right and also with a time scale. Calcium Hardness And Shell Thickness On the other hand, addition of probiotic had no significant effect (P 0.05) on shell hardness and shell thickness and these were expected which have already been reported (Haddadin et al., 1996; Chen and Chen 2003). Although, the increase of albumen quality wasn t significant (P 0.05), no reasonable explanation can be offered for the improvement in albumen quality in the microbial additive groups. Jensen et al. Subsequent studies indicated that trace elements was been involved (Jensen and Maurice, 1978). Employee Relationships And Patient Satisfaction Introduction Employee engagement surveys are probably the most common way leaders can understand what their employees are thinking about their jobs and the organization. Currently ninety two percent of companies use this method. (Hadjistoyanova, 2016) In the healthcare setting there is a direct link between employee attitudes and patient satisfaction. (Powell, 2001) Improving patient satisfaction is critical. Hospital reimbursement rate from Medicare and Medicaid revolves around the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare providers and Systems (HCAHPS), the federal system that monitors patient satisfaction and patient readmission rate. Employees can be happy, show up for work daily, but that doesn t mean they are being productive or mindful of patient s needs. When employees are engaged, they care. Examples would be a hospital employee making eye contact with visitors and patients, another would be a night shift worker being aware of quiet time during their shift. Surprisingly in California only those under 18 must wear a helmet (Coalition), but even adults should wear them as the chance of injury increases when riding without one. The reasons why those under 18 have to wear a helmet are reasonable as the organization KidsHealth in the article Bike safety informs people that Every year, about 300,000 kids go to the emergency department because of bike injuries, and at least 10,000 kids have injuries that require a few days in the hospital. The Theory Of Perception Of The Existence Of God In Principles of Human Knowledge, Berkeley posits the doctrine of idealism largely in response to the theory of perception connected to representationalism. While the representationalist would agree that only sensory ideas can be immediately perceived, Berkeley s view dramatically differs from representationalism in that he denies the existence of material objects and, consequently, the causal role they are presumed to hold in producing sensations (Heide 15 Sept). Berkeley takes this immaterialist position to undoubtedly prove the existence of God while attributing to him a properly significant causal relationship to sensible ideas. An idea is dependent on the mind of the perceiver, meaning that all components of that idea must be perceivable by nature. The idea, the perceived, is distinct from the perceiver in that there is no power or agency existing in it. Since it is impossible for an idea to do anything, or, strictly speaking, to be the cause of anything: neither can it be the resemblance or pattern of any active being (34; sec. 25). Berkeley s argument here is simple, yet highly intuitive. It makes little sense to claim that something mind dependent could contain anything, like agency, that could escape the perception of the mind! If there was agency in an idea, it would be a clearly perceivable aspect of it, and surely ideas cannot do anything and perform actions, being fundamentally different than minds. Evidently something causes sensations, as Berkeley points out they are constantly appearing, altering and ceasing to be. If physical objects are nonexistent, and ideas cannot be causally active, he insists that incorporeal active substance or spirit is all that remains (35; sec. 26). Spirit is defined as unified, possessing two powers: the understanding and the will, the first which perceives ideas while the second produces and otherwise operates about them (35; sec. 27). • 25. Analysis Of The Man From Snowy River By Banjo Paterson The Man From Snowy River by Banjo Paterson 1. Andrew Barton Paterson, more commonly known as Banjo Paterson, was a famous Australian poet who was born on the 17th February, 1863. He spent his early life at a farm near Yass, in between Melbourne and Sydney. His early education came from a governess, but as soon as he was able to ride a pony by himself, he was taught at a school in Binalong. At 11, Paterson went to Sydney Grammar School whilst his family was living in Gladesville. He left SCS at 16 after failing an examination. From 1885, he started having poetry published in Australian magazine, The Bulletin, where he first coined the pseudonym Banjo , the name of his favourite horse. In 1899, Paterson became a war correspondent for multiple newspapers, but in 1908, he decided to take a break from journalism writing and focus more on his poetry. In WWI, Paterson served as an ambulance driver and returned to Australia in 1919. His third collection of poetry, Saltbush Bill JP, was published soon after. Paterson died of a heart attack in 1941, just 12 days before his 77th birthday. 2. The Man from Snowy River tells the story of a horse that escapes from a ranch. The owner offers a lot of money to capture the prized possession and so many drovers set off to capture the horse. The drovers pursue the horse across the country, but are defeated by the rough terrain. Then the Man from Snowy River steps up and charges down the slope. He is lost to view by the rest of the group, but reappears later, tired and battered, with the horse trailing behind him. 3. The Man from Snowy River holds plenty of language devices that help capture the mood and setting of the poem. The old man with his hair as white as snow makes use of simile to help describe one of the men on a horse. The simile makes the line more interesting and less monotonous by showing what he looks like rather than straight out telling. The man is made out to be strong and fierce but the similarity of his hair and snow juxtaposes this power as snow is thought to be delicate and beautiful. Another technique is the metaphor And the stock horse snuffs the battle with delight. This hints that the drovers must be prepared for the dangerous job ahead of them, if ... During the 1930s, the southern regions of the Great Plains became known as the Dust Bowl due to the severe droughts and dust storms that plagued this region experienced. Part of this occurrence can be attributed to the farmers because, throughout the 1920s, many farmers had exhausted their farmland through the overproduction of crops and destruction of the protective layer of prairie grasses by plowing. This created several issues during the early 1930s when high winds and a drought hit the region. The Shipping Act of 1984 altered and replaced what was in the previous Shipping Act of 1916. Some of the things which the Shipping Act of 1984 were different were that markets, industry, microeconomics, law, and regulations were all different since the Act of 1916. The Shipping Act of 1916 made all conference agreements subject to approval by the Federal Maritime Commission, or FMC for short. On August 3, 1981, Senator Gorton introduced a bill (S. 1593) to revise U.S. regulation of international liner shipping. This bill was the forerunner of the current Shipping Act of 1984. Although U.S. law has acknowledged the constructive role of conferences in the liner trades since the Shipping Act of 1916, the American commitment to free trade and competition has led Congress to disallow many features of international conferences. Most importantly, the Shipping Act of 1916 required shipping conferences transporting the foreign commerce of the United States to offer membership to any liner carrier capable of engaging in such service. U.S. conferences are therefore termed open conferences . A conference agreement had to meet a strict antitrust standard in order to be approved. Deferred rebates were illegal and the freedom of carriers to tie. S. 1593 provided for the following: (1) Legalization of closed conferences. (2) A broad scope of conference activities to enable carriers to discuss and fix prices and conditions of service, pool earnings and traffic, allot ports, regulate sailings, limit the volume and character of cargo carried, engage in exclusive working arrangements, enter into agreements to regulate and prevent competition among themselves, and bring intermodal cargo transportation under the ambit of permissible conference agreements. (3) Use of loyalty contracts, except deferred rebates. (4) Absolute antitrust immunity for ocean common carriers engaging in any activities described in (1), (2), or (3), above. At the time, the Polish capital was occupied by the Russians, who were seeking to weaken the local elite . Born into a family of teachers and brought up in an environment marked by a sense of duty and a lack of money, she led the most remarkable life. From the premature death of one of her sisters, and later of her mother, she drew the agnosticism that would later increase her faith in science. And so his frail wife set about her work, handling tons of minerals she noted that another substance, thorium, was quot;radioactive quot;, a term she herself had coined. Together, they demonstrated in a major discovery that radioactivity was not the result of a chemical reaction but a property of the element or, more specifically, of the atom. Marie then studied pitchblende, a uranic mineral in which she measured a much more intense activity than is present in uranium alone. She found that there were other substances besides uranium that were very radioactive, such as polonium and radium, which she discovered in 1898. Pierre tested radium on his skin. It caused a burn, and then a wound. Its effect on man was proven. Soon radium was being used to treat malign tumors, Chemotherapy was born. In 1903, Marie defended her discovery. Together with Becquerel, the Curies were awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics for their discovery of natural radioactivity. Their happiness was short lived. In 1906, Pierre, weakened by radiation and overworked, was run over by a car. Marie was forced to continue alone. • 32. The National Plan Of Integrated Airport Systems The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) forever changed the way airports were classified when it was unveiled in 1982 (Wells, 2011). The aviation industry had grown significantly since deregulation went into effect, and a new system needed to be put in place that would distinguish airports with incredible growth and expansion from those that served niche markets or flight training (Wells). Under the NPIAS, airports were broken down into three major categories: commercial services airports, reliever airports, and general aviation airports (Wells). The following paragraphs describe the three categories of airports that were created by the NPIAS, and conclude with an airport that fits into that particular category today. Commercial Services Airport When the general public thinks about airports, chances are they will imagine an airport that fits into this category. Commercial services airports are defined in our text as those airports that accommodate scheduled air carrier service, provided by the world s certificated air carriers (Wells). These are the airports that move passengers and cargo across the United States and the world. Commercial services airports are not created equal, however, which is why they are further broken down into different categories of hubs. They range from large hub airports that account for at least 1 percent of the total passenger enplanements in the United States to medium and small hub airports that account for less and ... The Company Town The company town was an economic institution that was part of the market for labor. For example, Homestead, Pennsylvania was a company town situated next to the Homestead Steel Mill. From an outsider s perspective, it may be hard to understand the process of sex therapy ad what it is used for. I would assume that people might think sex therapy is for pedophiles or rapist, trying to control their urges . However, sex therapy is more than just for that reason, it can be a healing process for those who have been abused or even a building bock for a couple to improve their sexual relationship. As therapist, this is where education comes in. I believe that if more people understood, the benefits of sex therapy the more they would promote the use of it in treatment. Analysis Of Before I Fall Before I Fall directed by Ry Russo Young and written by Maria Maggenti is a teen drama film released in 2017 that is about a teenage girl who lives the same day over and over again. Despite having a compelling lead performance played by Zoe Deutch and a powerful soundtrack full of ballads, Before I Fall still took a turn with a generic plot line, choppy dialogue and cliché. Although I loved the performance given by Deutch and how she was able to show the characters development through emotions and her acting, that still doesn t mean the movie was perfect. The movie was like Mean Girls put through a time loop. Before I Fall deals with a teenage girl forced to live the same day over and over again till she figures out why she s living ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sam s whole story is that she s a mean girl who realizes that maybe she shouldn t be mean to people. (by the way it took her too long to figure out that maybe Juliet was the reason she was living the same day over and over again). The mind irking thing is that she never once told her friends that they should stop bullying Juliet or try to befriend her. Instead, she presents this half played, pitiful redemption that leaves the audience thinking that it was an act of heroism (I begged a differ). There are moments in Before I Fall where the dialogue lacked intelligence. It was almost as if the director wanted to be quick and get to the point of creating a movie that deals with time loop, and not think twice about whether the dialogue should make sense. There s a scene in the movie where Sam is thinking back on the last 24 hours of her life before the car accident where her and the other three girls are bullying Juliet, and then she says this line That was forever ago... that was yesterday. There were reasons that the audience watching this film to think okay that doesn t make sense. Saying something forever ago and that it happened yesterday just contradicts itself, the line I think should have been That was yesterday. Then there s another scene where Sam and Lindsay are talking in the cafeteria about how Lindsay and Juliet use to be friends and went on a camping trip together. • 39. Analysis Of Kenneth Branagh s Much Ado About Nothing Kenneth Branagh s Much Ado About Nothing is remarkably different in tone from the other plays discussed. Unlike the other two comedies, Taming of the Shrew and Merchant of Venice, there are far fewer comedic aspects that do not translate well to modern audiences. The film has much less violence in it than the others and even its chief villain is more like a cartoon villain than an outright evil manipulator. The tragedies are known for their fascinatingly complex villains such as Richard III or Iago, but Keanu Reeves Don John comes across as a character lost in the wrong movie. He lurks in the shadows and is not really given a compelling motive for his cruel actions. He does not even enact the rare few scenes of violence in the film. In a different play, the ineffectual portrayal of the villain could ruin the whole production, but Branagh understands that Much Ado About Nothing s most important parts are the dynamics between the two sets of couples, something this film does quite well. It is this toning down of violence and dark undertones that allows the film to be so successful. Claudio s striking of Hero is the most noticeable physical violence and it is quickly followed by a romantic scene between Beatrice and Benedick to restore the tone. It comes across well as a modern romantic comedy, with just enough darkness to drive the plot forward. To make the film darker than it has to be would diminish how enjoyable and fun to watch it is. His purpose, more so than a guide to travel for your average citizen, was to show people that there were others in this world with thoughts and ideas and maybe those thoughts and ideas deserved some merit. Throughout his book, Mandeville is very specific about morals and values, especially Christian morals and values. In Chapter 32, he tells of the Isle of Bragman and the people who live there who are not Christians. He says In this land are no thieves, no murderers, no prostitutes, no liars, no beggars; they are men as pure in conversation and as clean living as if they were men of religion . Cinematography was defined throughout the film as the making of a motion picture.
