The production log summarizes the footage gathering, editing, and photoshoot processes for a music video. Footage was collected over four days in various environments to incorporate different camera angles, shots, and movements. Some indoor footage appeared yellow due to artificial lighting and required a reshoot. Editing took three days to align footage, add transitions and basic/advanced effects, and refine the video. Rendering failed initially due to insufficient RAM but was resolved by installing more RAM. Photos were taken over two days in various locations to capture the artist's poses and reinforce their image, and lighting issues during one shoot required fluorescent lighting.

2. Our footage gathering lasted a duration of four consecutive days; we were successfully able to collect all
footage in accordance to the planning, amongst three environments: within a public park, streets and house
scenario. In accordance to our planning, the footage required to incorporate numerous camera angles,
movements and shot(such as high angle shots, pan motions and mid shots). Which had the purpose of
visually conveying the lyrical tempo within the song.
However, within scenes featuring the interior of a house. The footage was noticeably saturated via a yellow
colouring. This was apparent due to the usage of artificial light; compensating for the lack of natural lightning.
Whereby, we acknowledged that to overcome this issue, a re-shoot would be necessary; executed in
brighter periods of the day to convey the theme of daytime(which the lyrics make reference to morning
periods). In addition, we had intervened with weathering conditions in relation to the outdoor environments,
which were harmful to our recording equipment. Meaning our footage gathering was postponed to a later
time within the day, luckily we avoided additional lighting insufficiency. Moreover, within the recordings of
public areas, many shootings were interrupted via pedestrians within the camera frame, in regards to
pedestrian disruption, we had to reshoot scenarios on various occasions; delaying our schedule even more.
Notably, we did not differentiate from our filming schedule; obtaining all footage accurately in relation to what
we had planned.
Filming

3. Our editing process of the production prolonged a duration of three days. Within the first day of editing,
footage was aligned in a chronological format, and was synced to the audio appropriately. Where the
footage would visualise the assigned lyrics, within the song. In further development of the production, the
second day of editing consisted of footage transitioning and basic screen effects such as marginalising the
canvas(creating a theatrical sense of the production). Moreover, into the third day of editing, there was an
implication of advanced effects and overlaying nulls in relation to the canvas. Whereby, canvas distortion,
slowed motion and audio synced transformation tools were implemented into the music video. Additionally,
as the last day within the editing process, refinements of the music video were made; focused upon the
continuity of the music video to enhance the visual aspects of the video. It is notable that all editing
processes were executed within the singular application: Adobe After Effects, which the program provides an
advanced suite of effects within a user-friendly interface; allowing ease-of-use.
However, during stages of rendering, the music video failed to export due to an application error within
‘Adobe After Effects’; preventing the export of a project due to insufficient RAM availability. To overcome this
issue, more RAM was installed into the computer machine, allowing the render to be successful, in the
desired resolution.
Editing

4. Our photo gathering prolonged a duration of two consecutive days; we were successfully able to obtain
photos of subjects that were collectively discussed within our pre-production stages. Whereby, photos were
taken within four environments: within a public park, on streets, inside of housing and inside a green-screen
facility(school). In accordance to our planning, the photos had to capture the artist posing to what he is
conveyed and suggested as within the music video production. In attempt to reinforce the artists image from
the viewer's perspective.
In accordance to our planning, no alterations were made when gathering the photos. However, lightning
sufficiency lacked within the green-screen facility. To compensate for the dull colouring, we had to utilize
fluorescent lighting to achieve natural colouring of the images. Whereby, previous implications of artificial
lighting(of duller brightnesses), deprived vibrancy and introduced a yellow saturation to the image.
