1) The document describes a new multi-bistatic radar system that uses three independent radar measurements to estimate three-dimensional displacement vectors, overcoming limitations of traditional monostatic radar interferometry which only measures line-of-sight displacement. 2) Experimental tests were conducted using a specially designed target that could be automatically positioned and rotated. The results demonstrated high measurement accuracy for displacements along single axes and arbitrary directions. 3) This new multi-bistatic radar sensor shows potential for providing full three-dimensional displacement measurements which are important for static and dynamic testing of civil structures.
