Production Reflection
Harry Allinson
Process
After recording the podcast I continued to import my mp3 audios into the software
(adobe premier pro) and cut where necessary so that the podcast had the most
important and relevant information on it and so that there wasn’t many pauses on it.
Hence I cut down a 15 minute audio so that it was between 2-5 minutes, I think that I
didn't pretty well considering the circumstances. My thoughts after cutting and finalizing
of the podcasts professionalism of it’s ordering of audio, were that it was pretty good
since I had to rush it a little bit since I wasted time when accidently didn’t record the
podcast various times.
Overall, I think that the product that I had created is very good for a first time project
since it’s not easy to do something that you haven’t done before but I think that this
journey was beneficial for my growth of creativeness. Also I think that it was good for a
first time podcast, I could have been improved tremendously since it had a lot of
unsmooth cut within it and at some part it rambled on, so there was a lot of imperfection
within the podcast. This is really goo because I can look back at this and learn from my
mistakes and from my accomplishes and improve and learn from them.
This was fundamentally a great experience and fun for me and I have thoroughly enjoyed
it.
Process
The main effects that I used in my final production were slight reverb, audio volume
adjust, audio gain and slight distortion of clips to make the audio feel more
aesthetically pleasing and also clearer in some instances since it wasn’t all that clear
in the raw output of the mp3. I infrequently used the audio fade effects so that the
audio smoothly and gradually increased and/or decreased in volume, which informs
listeners that the podcast will be ending. I used the fade effect on the music that I
downloaded from YouTube to mp3, which really enlightened the podcast and they
were good markers for when the podcast was going to start and end.
