Olivia Waller evaluated her FMP production process. For research, she found it useful to explore design ideas but notes a weakness was finding an original magazine name. Her planning helped create different ideas, but weaknesses included plans not working out as intended. For time management, she completed work on time but wishes she researched more magazines. Peer feedback praised her cover colors but noted the layout seemed crowded and could include more advertisements to attract audiences.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
3. Research
• A strength of research is that you are able to look through different design
ideas to see how you would like your product to look and get different
colour schemes and looks to use for your product.
• You are able to get a look on what different ideas to use on the magazine
and see different titles and set outs used.
• A weakness is trying to find a original name for your product as there is
many different music magazine with lots of different names so trying to
find one that has not been used it hard.
• Another weakness with my research was I researched the same magazine
brand, to improve I would have looked and researched a range of different
magazines to be able to get more and different ideas to use on my
magazine.
• Only researching one brand of will have had an effect on my product by
only have the brands ideas and colour schemes making it look a lot the
original brand.
4. Planning
• I think planning helps a lot when making a product as you are able to
create different ideas and change them around and make it how you want
it to look. Planning helps your product by being able to see where
different things can go but be able to restart and try different ideas.
• A weakness about planning is if the planning doesn’t go the way you want
it to go or doesn’t look like you wanted it, this will have an effects on your
products as you will have to rethink how you want your product to look.
• With my planning I should have made a different look with both of mine to
see which plan would suit my audience best instead of just basing my
planning off one brand of magazine that use the same style.
5. Time Management
• I think I have managed my time well as I have completed my work on time
and I have used my time well and managed to put detail and time into my
work to make it how I would like it.
• If I had additional time I would have researched a different range of music
magazines as I feel I could have got a load more ideas for my magazine and
included different information and a different layout.
• I would have also explored more what to add on my double page spread to
make it look more exciting and seeing what I could include to make it the
most interesting for my audience.
6. Technical Qualities
• A similarity between my magazine cover and
an existing one is that they the both have
the same black and white background and
photo theme, giving the cover a theme to
run throughout the rest of the magazine.
• A difference about the 2 covers is the colour
scheme used on the cover, we have both
used different colours for the information
on the magazine and different colours on
the title making them sand out in different
ways.
• A similarity of the 2 double page spreads is
they both include a page length photo of the
artist showing straight away who the focus is
on and grabs attention straight away.
• A difference is mine includes a plug which
gets my audience involved that stands out
from the rest of my page whereas the
existing product doesn’t include anything
exciting for the audience and just writing
and information making mine appeal more
to the audience
7. Aesthetic Qualities
• I think overall that my products look good, the front
cover includes colour to grab attention and make it more
colourful to get the audience more excited and help it to
stand out. I like the colour scheme I have used as all the
colours fit with my theme and all go together and match
well. I would improve by having my information stand
out more and I think a different font should have been
used as it would make it look realistic.
• I also like the way my double page spread turned out as I
think it looks simple but will appeal to the audience by it
looking interesting.
• A strength about my front cover is that the title stands
out and you are able to see straight away the name of
the magazine. I think also that you are able to see what
the main focus of the magazine is with the photo of the
artist and the name being in bold helping to grab
peoples attention.
• A weakness of my front cover is the font I have used on
the magazine I feel it makes it look less real.
• A strength of my double page spread is I think the layout
looks important and the colours used help to make parts
stand out from the rest. I also like the plug and think this
is a strength as you can involve the audience.
• A weakness of my double page spread is that it does not
include as much colour as my front cover does making it
less eye catching and exciting for my audience to read.
8. Audience Appeal
• My target audience is ages 10-30 I think
my product appeals to them by using
artists on the cover that will interest them
as they are popular artists that this age
range will listen to.
• I have also included information about the
music industry that will interest and excite
this target audience making it appeal more
to them.
• The artist used on both products will
appeal to the target audience as they are
popular as their music fits with the
audience.
• Having a website link on my double page
spread will help with getting my audience
involved and will appeal to them as they
are able to use and understand the
internet to interact.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– The front cover has a variety of different colours such
as green, white, orange, grey and red. All of these
colours make it stand out to me and make it more
intriguing. The fonts that are being used are cool.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• The layout of the front cover could be a little better.
There could be more advertisements added to draw the
audience in.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The cover itself looks very nice and catches the eye.
The title of the magazine looks very good an is well
edited
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The colour of the background could be a brighter or
less dull colour
– Maybe have less things on the cover to make it less
overcrowded.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like that the colours go well and they are not to
vibrant. They fit in and don’t stand out to much.
– I like how conventions have been used such as font
size to draw attention to certain parts of the
magazine.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• The cover is a bit crowded and looks a little messy and
out of place
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
• I agree with the comments about the colour and how vibrant
my colours are for my products
• I also agree with the use of different fonts making the project
look effective and draws attention to different parts of the
magazine.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
• I would disagree with the magazine looking crowded as I think
the information used on the magazine grabs attention.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
• I would change the layout of my magazine cover as many of the comments said
it looked crowed so by changing the layout I am able to make it look less crowed
as I could move everything around to suit the style.
• I would also brighten the background as I feel it makes the cover look dull so if I
brighten it, it would grab more attention as it would be more eye catching and
fit with the vibrant and colourful theme.
• Add more advertisements on the cover to grab more of the audience and make
them want to read it more. I think adding more adverts will grab more attention
as people will be interested in what is being shown and want to read and buy
the magazine.
