During the 4th week of human development, the neural tube is formed and pharyngeal arches begin to develop, giving rise to structures like the maxilla and mandible. Organs like the upper limb buds, forebrain, otic pits, and lens placodes also begin to form. In the 5th week, the head grows significantly while structures like the mesonephric ridge and cervical sinus develop. By the 6th week, the heart begins beating regularly and neural tubes close as arm buds and a tail become visible. Intestines also begin to develop during this period.
