This document provides a summary of the history of 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, the headquarters of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. It describes how the building was purchased in 1900 to serve as a permanent home for the Rebbe and center of Chabad activities. Over the years, the Rebbe pushed for expansions to accommodate the growing crowds. Major expansions took place in the 1920s and 1950s. The Rebbe emphasized that the building's walls were infused with holiness from his predecessors spending time there.
This document is a newsletter focused on bringing Moshiach (the Messiah). It contains several short articles about Moshiach, including an adapted talk given by Rabbi Mendel Gordon about the Rebbe empowering Chassidim to bring Moshiach. The newsletter was prepared and printed by volunteers to inspire readers to increase their efforts to bring Moshiach through learning about redemption and Moshiach, and through the Rebbe's directives.
The document summarizes events in Crown Heights in the winter of 5752 leading up to Chof-Zayin Adar, when the Rebbe suffered his stroke. It describes how the Rebbe increasingly emphasized Moshiach and geulah in his teachings. In sichos in Gimmel Shvat and Mishpatim, the Rebbe connected current events to Moshiach's imminent revelation. The Rebbe also instructed increasing activities to bring Moshiach like printing more sichos on the topic. This prepared chassidim for the situation after 27 Adar and gave them the tools to continue working for geulah.
1) The Rebbe had a clear vision and plan from a young age to spread Chabad outreach all over the world, connected to a central source.
2) Over time, the Rebbe implemented this plan in stages - first establishing institutions in the 5710s, then expanding outreach through shluchim from the 5720s.
3) Each decade saw growth and changes in focus, such as increased activities in the 5730s and global outreach in the 5740s, all building toward the goal of bringing Moshiach.

This is how the story of Yosef's Geulah from prison begins. The
word Miketz, as well, hints to prison because "Ketz" means "end"
and "limit" which is what prison represents.
Although Yosef Hatzadik was stuck in prison, a place of Ketz,
limitation; his soul, however, wasn't stuck and limited. His Torah,
which he kept in his heart, lit up the darkness of his imprisonment
and filled him with infinite joy and delight.
The confinement and limitations of prison ultimately did not
succeed in limiting him for real. He remained free. The limitation
and imprisonment therefore did not last. He was soon out and went
straight on to becoming the king of the entire Mitzraim.
The story of Yosef's imprisonment in his place of limitation, is
also the story of each one of us. We were put on this limited world.
We are enclothed in a limited body. We are limited by our personal
challenges and the worldโs challenges. We are imprisoned in Golus.
We need to remind ourselves about and draw strength from Yosef's
story. The existence of even a small limitation is foreign for us,
because a Yid in his essence is unlimited and infinite. Like Yosef, we
can never really be limited.
We are always free. There is no doubt then, that this present period
of limitation will not last. Its whole purpose was that we should light
up the world with Torah and Mitzvos even in a state of darkness and
Golus. We have fulfilled our Shlichus and the Gelulah will speedily
arrive!

Shortly before Yud Shvat 5730 - 20 years of the Rebbeโs leadership, the Rebbe announced that he is
going to make a Siyum on the Sefer Torah which the Frierdiker Rebbe began writing in 5702 known
as "Moshiach's Sefer Torahโ.
On Erev Shabbos the 9th of Shevat โ at the celebration of the completion of the Sefer Torah, the
Rebbe said a special Maamar starting "Lehovin Inyan Kesivas Sefer Torahโ.
Years later, before Shavuos 5746 the Manichim gave in this Maamer to the Rebbe to edit.
The Rebbe added the following words in the forward of the Maamar which give the meaning and
the significance of that Sefer Torah and that occasion.

The Frierdiker Rebbe called it โMoshiach's Sefer Torahโ.
He (The Frierdiker Rebbe) requested it to be written, and the writing began in the presence of The
Frierdiker Rebbe Nosi Doreinu.
)Based on Sichas Shabbos Parshas Miketz 5751(
In the Sicha on
Erev Chanukah
5750, the Rebbe
discussed the argument
between Beis Shamai and
Beis Hilel, whether to light
one candle on the first
night like Beis Hilel, or to
light eight candles the first
night like Beis Shamai.
When Moshiach comes,
however, we will light eight
candles already on the first
night.
That year the Rebbe
suggested that in order to
be ready for Moshiachโs
coming, one should
prepare eight candles on
the first night.

On the morning of Chof Hei Kislev 5741, a Chanukah Party took place in Boro Park for the children of the Frum schools
in New York City. During the Party a few different school choirs came on stage, each choir performed their own song. When
the Tzivos Hashem Choir of Crown Heights came on stage, they began singing of course, the slogan "We Want Moshiach NOW!"
For a few minutes, all the children sang this great song, the only wish of the Yidden: We want Moshiach now! And do not want to wait any
longer!!
When the children finished the song, one of the organizers, a โMechanechโ, went up on stage and โexplainedโ to the children that this
song is a โSong of Chabad"... but we do not identify with it and it does not fit with the spirit of Orthodox Judaismโฆ Rachmono Litzlanโฆ
The children returned back to the Crown Heights rather confused, came to 770 for a special rally with the Rebbe and the lighting of the
second Chanukah candle. Immediately after the recital of the twelve pesukim, the Rebbe began to say a Sicha.
At the beginning of the Sicha the Rebbeโs voice changed suddenly to a more forceful tone and began speaking strongly and vehemently:
โIt is astounding for a Yid to say that, Chas vโsholom, he doesnโt want or doesnโt hold that children should sing โWe want Moshiach Nowโโฆโ
The Rebbe cried out painfully โhow can there be such a strange thing?! He himself, three times a day, standing before Hashem, says in
Shmoneh Esreh โEs tzemach dovid avdecho meheiro tatzmiachโ that Moshiach should come right away, and continues โki lishuoscho kivinu
kol hayomโ that every single moment of the day we await the revelation of Moshiach โNowโ, how can a Yid say that itโs not appropriate to
request Moshiach Now?!

It is well known that many things in nature contain the number
seven: seven heavens, seven musical notes etc. The number eight,
then, symbolizes the supernatural.
When Moshiach comes there will be a supernatural revelation of
Hashem, the harp in the third Beis Hamikdosh will therefore have
eight strings.
In Chanukah we also find the number eight - the festival lasts for
eight days and we light eight candles. It follows that Chanukah is an
auspicious time for the revelation of Moshiach, may it happen now!
