This document provides a summary of the history of 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, the headquarters of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. It describes how the building was purchased in 1900 to serve as a permanent home for the Rebbe and center of Chabad activities. Over the years, the Rebbe pushed for expansions to accommodate the growing crowds. Major expansions took place in the 1920s and 1950s. The Rebbe emphasized that the building's walls were infused with holiness from his predecessors spending time there.
This document is a newsletter focused on bringing Moshiach (the Messiah). It contains several short articles about Moshiach, including an adapted talk given by Rabbi Mendel Gordon about the Rebbe empowering Chassidim to bring Moshiach. The newsletter was prepared and printed by volunteers to inspire readers to increase their efforts to bring Moshiach through learning about redemption and Moshiach, and through the Rebbe's directives.
The document summarizes events in Crown Heights in the winter of 5752 leading up to Chof-Zayin Adar, when the Rebbe suffered his stroke. It describes how the Rebbe increasingly emphasized Moshiach and geulah in his teachings. In sichos in Gimmel Shvat and Mishpatim, the Rebbe connected current events to Moshiach's imminent revelation. The Rebbe also instructed increasing activities to bring Moshiach like printing more sichos on the topic. This prepared chassidim for the situation after 27 Adar and gave them the tools to continue working for geulah.
1) The Rebbe had a clear vision and plan from a young age to spread Chabad outreach all over the world, connected to a central source.
2) Over time, the Rebbe implemented this plan in stages - first establishing institutions in the 5710s, then expanding outreach through shluchim from the 5720s.
3) Each decade saw growth and changes in focus, such as increased activities in the 5730s and global outreach in the 5740s, all building toward the goal of bringing Moshiach.

MOSHIACH IN THE PARSHA
The Midrash (Bereishis Rabba 2:4) reads this posuk as a future
nevuah throughout the yidden's history. The four terms of emptiness,
refer to the four exiles which yidden went through, throughout history.
Ve'ruach elokim merachefes (“the spirit of Hashem hovered...”) refers
to Moshiach the ultimate redeemer, as it is said: “Ve'nocho olov roach
Hashem (The spirit of Hashem will rest upon him)” (Yeshaya 11:2).
The principle of Moshiach thus is found in the very beginning
of the Torah, at the very beginning of creation. In later pesukim of
the Torah it is mentioned again, in some cases quite explicitly. The
Rambam rules, therefore, that “Anyone who does not believe in
Moshiach, or whoever does not look forward to his coming, denies
not only the words of the other nevieim, but also those of the Torah
and of Moshe” (hilchos Milachim 11:1).
In the times of Moshiach there will be two stages. Of the first it is
said: “One is not to presume that anything of the ways of the world
will be set aside, or that there will be any innovations in the order
of creation. The world will continue according to its norms... The
essential difference will be [our deliverance from] subjugation to
foreign powers”.
In the second stage, however, the norms and the natural order of
the world will change. It will be a time of wondrous miracles such
as techiyas hameisim and the fulfillment of all the other nevu'os of
ultimate bliss in Moshiach times.
The fact that the Torah refers to the principle of Moshiach at the
very beginning of creation, even before the creation of man (thus
also long before the giving of the Torah), teaches us an important
lesson:
The concept of Moshiach includes everything that is related to it,
not only the basic principle of the initial geulah of b'nei yisroel, but
also all the details of the ultimate wonders and miracles.
The belief in Moshiach and the anticipation of his coming,
therefore, must include awareness and knowledge of all the details
of that time. First and foremost we must believe in, hope for, and
look forward to the time when "am yisroel will enjoy relief from the
wicked tyranny that does not leave them to occupy themselves with
Torah and Mitzvos properly, so that they will find rest and grow in
wisdom” (hilchos teshuvah 9:2) – “they will be free for Torah and
it's wisdom, without anyone to oppress and disturb them” (Hilchos
melachim 12:4).
Even so, we must also keep in mind the later stage which transcends
the first one. Practically speaking, this means the following:
As we “live with Moshiach,” our service of Hashem must be even
now not only on the level of the first stage with its “normative order”
marked merely by the removal of external impediments, but also on
the level of the final stage which is marked by innovations. In other
words, our service must transcend the calculations and restrictions
of mundane boundaries.
When we act as if Moshiach were here already, we effect that the
“as if” will become a fact of reality with the actual geulah and its bliss.
The ultimate goal of the world’s creation, the times of Moshiach, is
firmly established in the very origin of the world: “last in deed, but
first in thought.” The very beginning of the Torah indicates the final
purpose towards which all our aspirations must be devoted. This
alone, already, infuses us with the ability to attain that goal.

In the brocho which the Rebbe gave the tmimim Erev Yom Kipur 5747 (birchas habonim)
the Rebbe spoke strongly about the shlichus they have, in learning Torah themselves, and to
be neiros l'hoir to enlighten the neshama of every Yid they are in touch with.
And especially in the shlichus of yafutzu maynosecha chutza thereby to fight with those
which cherfu ikvos m’shichecha (disgrace the footsteps [i.e. the coming] of Moshiach).
Among the hagohos the Rebbe corrected afterwards, when the Manichim gave in to be
magiah, the Rebbe added that the tmimim will not only have milchoma with those that are
cherfu ikvos m’shichecha, but also will win the milchoma.

The nosi of our generation appointed everyone who was born in this generation as his emissaries. This, however, creates a
difficulty: We know the rule that a shliach must be similar to the meshalei’ach, how does this work with regard to a simple Yid
being an emissary of the leader of the entire generation.
The Rebbe offers a simple solution: The nosi of our generation is Moshiach which shares the same gematria as shliach together with an
extra ten corresponding to the ten faculties of the shliach’s neshamah.
Don’t ask, what connection does a simple Yid have with such lofty concepts as Moshiach, for there is no loftier than a Yid. Just as the Alter
Rebbe writes about the first redeemer of am yisroel, that every Yid has a spark of Moshe rabeinu’s neshamah inside him, so too with the
final redeemer, every Yid has a spark of Moshiach inside him which gives him every connection to these lofty concepts.
It is important to note, that this sicha of simchas torah 5746, with such clear reference to the Rebbe being Moshiach, was said less than a
year after a seemingly contradictory incident. On shabbos parshas bereishis 5745 the chassidim started singing a song in which the words
“the soldiers of the Rebbe, Moshiach tzidkeinu” appear, to which the Rebbe responded with an unfavourable admonition. Here, however,
the Rebbe seems to breach all boundaries.
