Pulmonary Thromboembolism - etilogy, types, medical- Surgical and nursing man...VarunMahajani
Disruption of blood supply to lung alveoli due to blockage of one or more pulmonary blood vessels is called as Pulmonary thromboembolism. In this presentation we will discuss its causes, types and its management in depth.
Acute scrotum is a general term referring to an emergency condition affecting the contents or the wall of the scrotum.
There are a number of conditions that present acutely, predominantly with pain and/or swelling
A careful and detailed history and examination, and in some cases, investigations allow differentiation between these diagnoses. A prompt diagnosis is essential as the patient may require urgent surgical intervention
Testicular torsion refers to twisting of the spermatic cord, causing ischaemia of the testicle.
Testicular torsion results from inadequate fixation of the testis to the tunica vaginalis producing ischemia from reduced arterial inflow and venous outflow obstruction.
The prevalence of testicular torsion in adult patients hospitalized with acute scrotal pain is approximately 25 to 50 percent

These simplified slides by Dr. Sidra Arshad present an overview of the non-respiratory functions of the respiratory tract.
Learning objectives:
1. Enlist the non-respiratory functions of the respiratory tract
2. Briefly explain how these functions are carried out
3. Discuss the significance of dead space
4. Differentiate between minute ventilation and alveolar ventilation
5. Describe the cough and sneeze reflexes

2. Process
In this production experiment, I tested out the
split effect where I could merge two clips
together to make them one. What I did for this
was I layered the two clips and took the top
layer. I cropped half of the top layer where the
second layer would appear through. When I
did this, it created a harsh line so I used the
edge feather to blur it out. Overall I think this
effect worked out well and created a good
shot. I used this YouTube tutorial to create this
effect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dj
FymNOGMA4
I really liked this tutorial because the creator
made the tutorial easy to follow so I was able
to understand what I was doing. He also chose
the simpleist way to do this effect so it was
quick to create this effect and overall this
tutorial was really helpful when I was doing my
project experiment.
3. process
Also in this production experiment, I tried out
color grading. I will need to do this for my horror
short film to darken the piece. To do this I first
used a RHB curve. This brought up the colored line
as seen in image. I could then bend these lined to
get the color grade I wanted. I then use the noise
effect to add a bit of static to the image. Its not
clear to see on the image because I only had to
add a bit to get a good quality. I then used the tint
to the image. Overall I think the image looks good
but it wasn’t the look I was going for. The tutorial I
used is
here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diKnt6
WbEyQ
The tutorial I used was very helpful when creating
this piece. It did do everything the creator did and
they both pretty much turned out the same.
However, when I come to do my final project, I
may have to look into more videos and the style
this creator used wasn’t the style that I am going
for in my short film.
4. process
For this production experiment, I have created a
poster to advertise my short film. I have used
skills that I've learned during my print rotation to
create this piece. I cut out the inside of the
mirror and put a creepy background behind to
show what the reflection of the mirror is. I did
have a creepy girl in the mirror as well but I took
it out because it didn’t fit with the color scheme
of the poster and I did cut it out bad. I also
thought that it would be more creepy for the
audience to think about what things are lying in
the mirror. The only thing I would change is the
white text near the bottom of the page because
it blends into the floor.
5. process
Whenever I tried a different color, it would either not
stick out and would blend in again or it wouldn’t go
with the color scheme of the poster. So what I decided
to do was to add a black boarder to the white text to
make sure it stood out but didn’t blend into the
background of the poster. I did this by adding the
stroke effect and turning the color to black. I only
added a small amount of the effect because if I put
too much of it on it would look too bulky. I like how I
did the title for the poster and I am definitely going to
use it in my short film
6. Reflection
With these production experiments I have learned many techniques
that I could use in my final product. Looking through what I've learned,
I am definitely going to use the cloning effect because they product
would look better if there were two identical people in the same shot
rather than creating two shots where in one is the good twin and in
the other shot is the bad twin. I found the technique very easy to do
and I enjoyed leaning something new. With the color grading
technique, I liked the way the effect turned out. However I didn’t know
how to get that specific color grade to be on ever single shot which
effected the experiment because in each shot, the color would look
different. Luckily there is a way to get that effect on every shot needed
by creating a layer and if I were to use this in the project I would make
sure id do it properly to make sure that the effect looked good on
every shot.
