การขออนุญาต และการขอร้อง

2.  ในชีวิตประจำวันมักใช้คำพูดในกำรขออนุญำต และกำรขอร้องอยู่เสมอๆ
 ฝรั่งเขำมีวิธีกำรที่เป็นแบบแผน คือถ้ำจะเอำอะไรหรือสิ่งไหนที่ไม่ใช่ของ
ตนเอง จะต้องขออนุญำตเสียก่อน
 เมื่อได้รับอนุญำตแล้วจึงจะทำหรือหยิบเอำไป พร้อมกับกำรตอบขอบคุณ
อย่ำงสุภำพ
 คนไทยเรำมักไม่เป็นเช่นนั้น ส่วนใหญ่มักถือวิสำสะหยิบเอำไป เพรำะถือว่ำ
เป็นเรื่องเล็กน้อย
 ดังนั้นเรำจึงควรศึกษำรูปแบบของสำนวนในกำรขออนุญำต และกำรขอร้อง
ไว้ใช้ให้ถูกต้อง

3. Informal questions แบบไม่เป็นทางการ
• Will you let me ( do that job)?
• Is it all right if I (leave one hour early)?
• I wonder if I can (smoke here)?
• Can I ( hand my report tomorrow)?
• May I (use this phone)?
• Do you mind if I (open the window)?

4. Giving or refusing การให้อนุญาต หรือปฏิเสธ
• No, I’m afraid you can’t.
• Yes, but don’t be too late.
• Of course.
• Go ahead!

5. Formal แบบเป็นทางการ
Would it possible for me to borrow your book?
Yes, you can, but I’ll use it tomorrow.

6. Formal question คาถามแบบเป็นทางการ
• Would it be possible for me to (………..?)
• May I have permission to (…………?)
• It would be grateful if you could give me
permission to (…………)
• Would you mind (…………………..?)

7. Giving or refusing
การให้ขออนุญาตหรือปฏิเสธ
• I’m sorry………..
• I regret to inform you that………..
• There will be no problem about………
• Please do.
• Certainly.

8. Request การขอร้อง
Can you lend me ฿ 100
I will give it back
tomorrow.
I’m sorry. I

9. Request Sentence
ประโยคขอร้อง
• Would you mind (going to the library?)
• Could you give me (a glass of water?)
• Can you lend me (a book?)
• May I borrow (some pens?)

10. Saying Yes or No
การตอบตกลงหรือปฏิเสธ
• Not at all.
• Yes. Here you are.
• I’m afraid I can’t.
• I’m sorry, I haven’t got.

11. Practice with your partner
Henry: Can I have permission to leave the office early today, sir?
Boss: Well, it would be rather inconvenience. Is it something
important?
Henry: Yes, it’s important.
Boss: Do you mind if I ask what it is?
Henry: I want to get a good seat for dinner tonight. It is my first
date.
Boss: I’m sorry but I can’t allow you to leave early. It wouldn’t
be fair.
Five minutes later…………
Henry: Excuse me, sir. I wonder if I could leave early because I’ve
been suddenly ill.
Boss: ………………………..

Carol: Excuse me.
Waitress: Yes?
Carol: Can I have a knife, please?
Waitress: Oh, sure. Can I get you anything else?
Carol: Can I have some water, please?
Waitress: Sure.
Carol: Thanks.

Francis: I prefer White wine.
