How Did Shakespeare Influence The American Theatre
There are lots of important things that were created in the Renaissance. Drama was one of the most
impressive inventions that they improved. One of the theaters that they had was the Globe Theater.
Even though the Globe Theater was destined for failure, it became successful due to Shakespeare and
the support of the Royal Monarch. Before understanding Shakespeare and his impact on the Globe
you have to know a little bit of information on plays and prediction in the Renaissance time period.
The plays before Shakespeare connected more to a religious point of view and the morals were more
simple(Currie,109). Playwrights were based off of morals for the writing in the books, just like how to
day we have movies based off books. The only difference is that the plays were played of of religious
books. An example of one of their most common morals Stephen Currie writes in a book, One person
is example for everyone . There was two theaters and 160,000 ... Show more content on

Baby Shakespeare was born in Stratford upon Avon(Brandenberg,12). During his years in school, he
studied Latin, Greek, and any other subject that would help him in his writing(Brandenberg,12). Even
from a young age, Shakespeare knew that someday he would have some sort of career in writing, and
without the background he wouldn t have be able to help the Globe the popular place we know. When
shakespeare was age 18, he married Anne Hathaway(Brandenberg,13). Anne supported shakespeare
carrier and what he loved to do. They had been married for around 2 years when Shakespeare started
acting(Frey,342). When he started, he worked for a play company writing and acting he was in his
early 20 s(Frey,342). Without the company and the time previous to the theater, he would have had no

19th Century Japan
As 19th century Europe and America modernized, acquiring better medical, military, communication,
and maritime technologies; they expanded and transformed the world. Required to handle increasing
western pressure in the mid 19th century, China, the Ottoman Empire, and Japan had to introduce
western liberal ideals supporting industrialization, nationalism, or economic reforms; whether
circumventing or incorporating them, they thus created the foundation for their future. Reform meant
to re structure, to change for the better, but also implied there had been a need to improve and added
value to that change. Introducing liberal reform movements to counter the spread of western influence
was a necessity for all non western societies; understanding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

But in the 19th century, Japan recognized its isolationist policies inadequacy and the new international
power shift when Europe and the United States forced it to sign the Kanagawa and Yedo treaties
limiting its control on its own foreign trade and demanding it open to outside trade . In 1798 already,
Honda Toshiaki criticized the Tokugawa, demanding an enlightened government , prophesying clearly
Japanese success if it adopted Western reforms to learn the effective use of gunpowder, to develop
metallurgy, to increase trade, and to colonize. The Tokugawa collapse led to the 1868 Meiji
Restoration, reinstalling the emperor, and reforming Japanese political and social structure mirroring
western powers . Directing the innovations and not afraid to challenge the social order thanks to its
cultural, ethnic, and national homogeneity, Japan s government proved successful in its endeavor,
instating a centralized, practical government and a constitution with an elected parliament, the Diet.
The Meiji Restoration was a political revolution, developing nationalism of the descendants of the
loyal and good subjects of Our Imperial Ancestors centered on the sacred and inviolable Emperor
presented as a symbol of Japanese culture and continuity. To increase the national budget and built up
the country s strength, the government started a more effective tax system. Liberal ideas brought
political and financial security, allowing new industries and technologies investment. Its economy
developed strong transportation and communication; its population grew highly educated and Japan
built a powerful army and navy. Its Constitution guaranteed liberal principles of property rights
(article 27), freedom of religion (article 28), and freedom of speech (article 29). Having fought and
won against China and later Russia, Japan reclaimed

You have Retinitis Pigmentosa Doctor Marvel told his patient, Dorothy. What is Retinitis Pigmentosa?
She asked in a shaky voice. It s an inherited, incurable disease in the Retina. What s the Retina?
to simplify it is a membrane that helps you see. What does this mean? Eventually you ll go blind
Dorothy is shocked to fmd out, but she makes the best of it. Day by day, she is slowly getting blinder

Enslavement Of The Slave Movement
Enslavement Resistance
Slave resistance began for many enslaved Africans before they reach the Americas. Karenga explained
the many arrangements in which Africans resisted to enslavement, while in Africa, during the middle
passage, and in the Americas. Employing the Karenga text one can evaluate the different resistances
that transpired in Antigua as Cultural, Resistance, Day to Day Resistance, Abolitionism, Armed
Resistance, Revolts, Ship Mutinies, and Afro Native Alliance. One can conclude that enslaved
Africans had an unrelenting resistance to enslavement (Karenga).
There is evidence that confirms enslaved Africans were able to execute successful ship mutinies, while
at sea, and control their destiny by establishing maroon societies wherever they landed in the
Caribbean. These maroon societies would later act as sanctuaries for escaped slaves throughout the
Caribbean. In Antigua, one prominent maroon society was located around the summit of Antigua s
extinct volcano, Boggy Peak now known as Mount Obama (Dash). Maroon societies allowed groups
of escaped slaves and their descendants to maintain a free community in close proximity of society,
but independent of European influence. Maroon communities developed their own distinctive cultures.
Since most maroon communities were founded by African born people, they incorporated and
preserved many aspects of African culture, including language, religious practices, and craft styles
(Jaede). All maroon communities lived in

an organisation it helps to increase employee performance to their highest level according to their role.
A Case study we did in class related to this Topic, A matter of Choice showed the significant
importance of selecting and recruiting a person for a specific job role. HR Practitioners must get the
right people in the right job. The right people solve problems and get things done without burdening
management. The wrong people not only don t solve problems but as well create more problems and
distractions. (Stettinius , Wood, JR., Dolyle, Colley. JR., 2007) HR Practitioners main objective is to

For example if the company wants to start doing performance appraisal, they should educate their

Self And Place In Waiting For The Barbarians
In this thesis, the goal is to examine how the sense of Self and Place is portrayed and influenced by
colonialism, in two postcolonial fictional South African novels; J.M. Coetzee s Waiting for the
Barbarians and Nadine Gordimer s Burger s Daughter. Both authors have won the Nobel Prize for
Literature, in 1991 Gordimer was the first South African author to receive this Prize, and Coetzee
joined her in 2003. First of all, Coetzee s novel Waiting for the Barbarians offers the story of the
Magistrate going through a crisis of conscience in a complicated place, however the Magistrate serves
as a parallel for all human beings living under regimes that disregard lawfulness and respectable
behaviour. Secondly, Gordimer s novel Burger s Daughter materialized ... Show more content on

It was Nelson Mandela himself who said on the 3rd of July 1999: The experience of others has taught
us that nations that do not deal with the past are haunted by it for generations we should forgive but
not forget (O Reilly 46). Furthermore, it will be quite interesting and stimulating to explore these
issues from respectively Nadine Gordimer s female point of view, and J.M. Coetzee s male point of
view through their novels. Not to mention, that both the authors are critically of each other s work.
Actually, in 1988 Coetzee and Gordimer got caught in a disturbing public disagreement regarding
Salman Rushdie s invitation to speak about his controversial novel Satanic Verses, for which the
British Indian author received numerous threats to his life. Retrospectively, Coetzee admitted that he
was wrong and Gordimer, in her prudence, was right to argue that Rushdie s invitation to speak in
South Africa should be withdrawn. Therefore, it is my assumption that examining as well as
identifying the sense of Self and Place in the Nobel Laureates novels, Waiting for the Barbarians and
Burger s Daughter, will be an interesting and rewarding

Abstract: Effect of various concentrations of NSAIDs (Non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) on
growth of commercial probiotic preparations (A, B, C, and D) were observed by agar well diffusion
assay. Zone of inhibition was recorded after 24 h and found that different samples of probiotics
showed more or less susceptibility to different doses of NSAIDs. This indicates that NSAIDs beside
anti inflammatory response may give antibiotic effect as well.
Keywords: NSAIDs, antibiotic, probiotics.
1. Introduction:
According to the definition by WHO and FAO, probiotics are live microorganisms which when
administered in adequate amounts confers a health benefit on the host. Probiotics are available to
consumers mainly in the form of foods and as dietary supplements.
NSAIDs have analgesic, antipyretic effects and also have anti inflammatory effects in higher doses.
Use of NSAID is associated with increased risk of gastrointestinal and cardiovascular effects mainly
due to the inhibition of prostanoid biosynthesis. NSAIDs have many applications in pharmacokinetics
and medicinal.
This review aims to examine antimicrobial property of NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin, and diclofenac).

The Pros And Cons Of Unemployment In Namibia
Unemployment can either be described in a stringent manner or in the broad manner. Unemployment
in a stringent manner refers to all persons within the working age group who are without work, but are
available for work and actively seeking work (Bryne Strobl, 2001). Unemployment in broad manner
refers to all persons within the working age group, who are available for work irrespective of whether
or not they are actively seeking work. The two definitions differ on whether an unemployed person is
actively looking for work or not. There are a few different types of unemployment, such as the
structural, frictional and cyclical unemployment. Structural unemployment is commonly a result of
change in technology, the constant improvement and introduction of new devices in the business
world. If we look at the farming industry, making use of human labor to work in the fields in the past
but now because of technology most farmers make use of machines. This means that the only people
who are really needed are the semi skilled laborers who are able to operate machines. Frictional
unemployment is common in all economies. It entails individuals having to look for work that fits the
specific skills they have. This process requires time and energy since the person looking for a job has
to find an employer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

indicator that the labor market is too small to absorb the unemployed youth of

Disadvantages Of A Semi Structured Interview
Section 1: Methodological Considerations Question 1 One advantage of a semi structured interview is
that in the case of participants who tend to answer questions briefly, the interviewer can ask more
open ended questions and cater the structure of the interview for the participant. The interviewer has a
choice of which order to ask the questions in and how to ask them. For instance, in the transcript for
the interview, the interviewer is being provided with one sentence yes/no replies in the beginning.
Then, a few questions later, the interviewer asks a more detailed question that asks the participant how
they manage their diabetes and who helps them. This prompts a more detailed response from the
participant, who has now been asked to speak more freely about their experience with diabetes.
Furthermore, for semi structured interviews, the interviewers can follow what the participants are
saying and modify their questions accordingly. The interviewer can be prompted by something the
participant has said, and explore that prompt further in their proceeding questions. For example, when
the respondent states that they do their own finger prick blood test, the interviewer then explores that
deeper by asking follow up questions such as what equipment the participant uses and the difference
in their own materials versus the hospital s. Furthermore, in a semi structured interview, the
participant might bring up interesting points the interviewer had not come across in their

America has been the leader in the television industry since the beginning. Being the home to massive
production companies such as HBO, Showtime and AMC, they have made innumerable successful

Development of Plot, Theme and Characters in Macbeth by...
Development of plot, theme and character in Macbeth
Macbeth is an absolute amazing novel written by William Shakespeare. In just one of his major
scenes, Shakespeare has been able to successfully develop the plot, the main theme and the characters.
Act I Scene III has a huge impact on plot development, especially towards the main characters like
Macbeth and Banquo. Firstly, it foreshadows the future of the play and gives audience a feeling of
curiosity towards the thought of prophecies coming true or not especially when one has came true.
The witches prophecies about Banquo are Lesser than Macbeth, and greater./ Not so happy, yet much
happier./ Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none (I, iii, 65 68). It is Macbeth and Banquo s first
time meeting the weird sisters, but they ve already started to receive odd prophecies about their own
future. Secondly, this scene foreshadows Macbeth s possible negative actions in the future. In his
aside, he said My thought, whose murder yet is but fantastical,/ Shakes so my single state of man that
function/ Is smother d in surmise, and nothing is,/ But what is not (I, iii, 139 142). Macbeth is already
starting to imagine about murder something he has not dared to think about before. Furthermore, this
scene creates a revelation of the relationship between Banquo and Macbeth. They are the only ones in
the play who know about the witches prophecies, and that one of the prophecies came true. How will

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are thin custom made shells designed to cover the front surface of the teeth, improving
your appearance and enhancing your smile by altering the colour, shape, size and length of your teeth.
Dental veneers can be made from porcelain or resin composite material. Although porcelain veneers
are stain resistant and makes the teeth appear brighter, resin veneers are thinner and require less
removal of the natural tooth surface before placement
Veneers are generally used to fix teeth that are discoloured, have gaps, are chipped and broken, are
misaligned, irregularly shaped, or have merely been worn down. These tooth imperfections can arise
from a variety of different reasons, such as: beverage intake (alcohol and caffeine are known causes of
staining) and unhealthy lifestyles (smoking, drug addictions and poor oral hygiene are the main causes
of tooth imperfection).

The Era Of Rock Music
Introduction: The 1970s were an interesting era for rock music. It offered the genre a harder sound that
was not prominent in the 1960s. This was due to the rise in hard rock, glam rock, and arena rock bands
such as AC/DC, The Who, Van Halen, and Aerosmith. To go along with this transition in sound, the
1970s continued the experimental music scene that the 1960s created. Groups like Deep Purple,
Electric Light Orchestra, and Pink Floyd (of course) helped progress rock music with their
experimentation with song recording. With so many great artists, it is no wonder why so many people
see the 1970s as being the best era for rock music. While there were tons of great bands in the
seventies one band constantly is referred to as one of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I personally believe that accusation is false, so here is my essay on why Queen is the most overrated
band in rock history.
Overrated Explanation: Before I get started I must go over what I mean by overrated . When I say a
group is overrated, I do not necessarily mean they are bad. I personally enjoy Queen and rank them
highly on my list of favorites. By stating a band as being overrated, I mean that they receive more
fame and acclaim than they deserve. Many great bands are guilty of this to an extent, such as my
favorite band The Beatles . This essay is to purely explain why Queen doesn t deserve the acclaim
they receive and not why they are a terrible band, because that is not true at all.
Musical Style: Let s start off with Queen s impact on rock music. All of the greatest rock bands have
influenced the bands that have come after them. For example, Led Zeppelin s early use of heavy
guitars and drums is arguably responsible for the creation of the heavy metal genre (Waksman). A
more modern example is Nirvana, who s music in the early and mid 1990s helped popularize
alternative music as a whole (Azerrad). This brought alternative music to the mainstream making
bands like Green Day, Bowling for Soup, Pearl Jam, and Blink 182 become regulars on the radio.
Compared to other artists of this caliber, Queen has not influenced rock as much as expected. The
musical style

Authority In Max Weber s Three Types Of Authority
Max Weber proposed that there are three distinct types of authority. These are, charismatic authority,
traditional authority, and legal rational authority. All of these authorities are important to understand.
Mostly, because they play huge roles in day to day life. For anything so present in the world, the
general population, should, at bare minimum, make an attempt to understand the forces around them.
Charismatic authority is often envied when its embodiment is seen in real life. Conley explains Max
Weber s point of view that those who possess this type of authority are thought to do so naturally and
with ease (Conley 577). Many spot this type of authority from a mile away, welcoming it into their
lives. Whether this be at work, with a manager who you can help but admire and respect because of
their ability to seem to work hard and lead gracefully, to the fellow student who leads a group project
in a way that makes the team collaborative and causes the project itself to have a sense of ease to it.
Conley points out that charismatic authority has its own place in politics, explaining that there are
statistics that show no amount of campaign money will help a candidate win an election if the
electorate just doesn t like him or her (578). Along with the previous ideas, it is important to know that
charismatic authority is the most difficult to maintain or pass on (578). The reason for this is clear:
while charisma can be learned, those who have it naturally will

Organizational Structure Of The Walt Disney Company
Organizational Structure of Disney Company
The Walt Disney Company is one of the popular and successful organizations in the world. The
business was started from 1923 at California and it is still very trendy in games, entertainments,
resorts and destinations, television programs, theme parks and in movies (Pride, Hughes, Kapoor,
2010). The Disney Company is a diversified international entertainment organization with functions in
four principal business parts which are consumer products, parks and resort, media networks and
studio entertainment. The firm has 11 theme parks across the globe, cable television network such as
ESPN and Disney channel. Similarly, the company has an intercontinental website in 37 nations.
Disney was chosen for this research as there is huge information regarding it (The Walt Disney
Company, 2016). The aim of this paper is thus to explore the organizational structure of Disney
including its use of teams.

1920 s Homogenization Of Fashion
In a decade brandished by inequality and social climbing, the deficits of the 1920 s were masked by
the homogenization of fashion. Through the various advances and acquiescence s within the fashion
industry, a young woman living on a farm in Montana could look just like the top socialite in the New
York City inner circle. The advent of a more freeing clothing style and high fashion runway shows
allowed for the feverish replication of the season s top designs, which in turn metamorphosed into a
mass production of similar designs. To add to the high fashion deception, the creation of synthetic
jewelry created an epic era of costume jewelry, an indiscernible alternative to real gems. The flapper
look of the Jazz Age began as a freedom for women ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It may have seemed like all the women were on a equal playing field by the end of the 1920 s, but they
may not have been. As previously mentioned, women were trying to pass off fake jewelry as real to fit
in with the upper crowd. The upper class women were losing their dominance in the fashion world and
it was evident they were not happy. Style leagues that would dictate fashion by elected officials began
to pop up in New York City. It seemed that if they could not rule fashion by purchasing uncopied
frocks, they would create policies and dictate the in designs and accessories themselves ( Society
Women Form Style League 64). Taking hold of the industry, the elected officials would cooperate with
manufacturers, designers, fashion artists and women who are socially and professionally chic ( Society
Women Form Style League 64). This was without a doubt the official beginning of what we now call
the group of women who run behind the name, fashion police. As the lower to middle class women
climbed the rungs of the fashion ladder, the upper class women were doing all that they could to push
the ladder off the

Assisi Chapter 9 Summary
The poor man of Assisi, Francis, had little education and lacked literacy skills, but these shortcomings
did not become an obstacle in sharing the important message of the gospel. He was not a scholarly
saint like Augustine or Thomas Aquinas. Yet, Francis dedication touched many through his religious
writings and compilation of poems, songs and prayers. Francis was not a gifted student as a child and
he received no university or seminary degree. His conversion experience came in the form of dreams
where God commissioned him to rebuild His church and care for the poor. He took these marching
orders seriously and committed himself to following Christ in reality and truth as revealed in the
Scriptures . Chapter 10 The Death of Francis In 1225, Francis lived in Rieti and suffered many
ailments. He was unable to eat, impacted by dropsy, edema excess water accumulation. Severe
ophthalmia, with its extreme sensitivity to light and pain from inflammation of the mucous
membranes of the eye, proved excruciating. He was not a very co operative patient apparently. At the
time, as Francis death drew close, he was moved to the Portiuncula Chapel where he lived with his

A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build
While I knew that a good snowman is hard to build I didn t realize that it was an activity also enjoyed
by monsters. In this charming puzzle title the process also involves a bit more thought than lumping
together as much snow as you can find and then sticking a carrot and scarf on it. On the plus side there
is no risk of frostbite and the activity isn t dependent on the weather. As the title of this game makes
abundantly clear, your goals in A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build, revolves entirely around building

naming and hugging the snowmen means he is more adorable than creepy. As Alan Hazelden, one of

In many cases I observe that people are getting their checkup of physical examination done in every 6
months which is a good thing, they are very much interested in healthy life style and are ready to
maintain their health status.
2.3 Application in current Job:
As we are in nursing profession and working in clinical setting all the day, we encounter many
patients and we used to do physical examination every shift as per our hospital policy and we report
document in their file the observations and then doctors revisit, so the continuity of care must be
provided.
This again helps us in building competency in our assessment skill which will be beneficial for us and
for the patients.
2.4 Current Research:
Many researches have been done on the importance of physical assessment and it also shows that
regular physical examination helps in decreasing morbidity and mortality rates. It also helps the health
care workers to detect the diagnosis earlier and to treat them with promptness. Early identification of
Cancers are also been treated effectively and increase patients prognosis.

Concert Review Papers
A Glimpse of snow and evergreen was a concert I will never forget. In my opinion, this concert was
the most high energy and energetic concert we have had (since my time here). The songs were all
surrounded by the theme of holiday spirit and it gave a warm and friendly tone that I believe the
audience felt too. We had a variety of songs, in cooperated dancing, and were able to have almost a
full house. This will be the concert we remember for the fun times and best choreography. It took a lot
of preparation to put this concert together. Acapella alone had 10 songs we were participating in. And,
many of the songs in this concert were in a different language. I still support the idea that we work

Somehow, no matter what we are facing we always seem to pull it together during the concert. I loved
the 2 soloists in 1 2 and how much courage they had to give it their all even though it was their first

and mature. It was also interesting to hear them perform another rendition of a song we had sang last
year. Also, the middle schoolers did wonderful with their carol of the bells. In terms of our set list, I
would say Gborn was our best piece. I heard the most feedback from the audience about how that song
was beautiful, angelic, and just rich overall. I think we could have worked on dynamics at times but it
is definitely a song that should be taken to tour. My personal favorite was Merry Christmas Mozart
because it showed the fun side of us and gave the audience some perspective. Plus, as I looked around
during that song I saw nothing but smiles. The most touching part of the performance was when the
alumni came on stage and sang Carol of the Bells with us. It brought back memories of them being

The Importance Of Tenure In Public Schools
Once a person decides to make teaching their career choice their next steps are to research all aspects
of the position. Among one of the first things a teacher investigates is the obtaining of tenure. Tenure
is important because it provides a sense of security for the teacher. The securing of tenure means that
as long as a teacher performs their duties in an effective manner they will have job security. An
increase of tenured teachers on a staff means that you have an abundance of experienced teachers on
your staff. These teachers therefore have acquired a great deal of knowledge and expertise. These
teachers can serve as role models and support new staff members. These tenured teachers also become
the academic leaders of the school serving as professional development team leaders, grade level
chairpersons and general all around support for the school. Many principals however, have a problem
with a staff of teachers with tenure. As a principal, this means that you must handle these teachers a
little differently because they are the underlying instructional leaders of the school. As principal, this
means that you have to present new ideas and strategies to your tenured staff a little differently
because if they object to the ideas you cannot dismiss them or fire them without due process (Essex,
2012).
Tenure in Public Schools Tenure in public schools has to be provided by state statute (Essex, 2012).
Most tenure laws are designed to protect good teachers. The

The Wireless Channel Is Different And Much More...
The wireless channel is different and much more unpredictable than the wire line channel because of
factors such as multipath and shadow fading, Doppler shift, and time dispersion or delay spread.
These factors are all related to variability introduced by mobility of the user and the wide range of
environmental conditions that are encountered as a result.
(i) Multipath Delay Spread
The multipath delay spread is the time dispersion characteristic of the channel. Each multipath
component is typically associated with different time delay and attenuation. The shortest of which is
the LOS path. The root mean square delay spread in multipath delay is denoted by τ_d and the
maximum spread in frequency due to Doppler shift, f_m.
(ii) Coherence Bandwidth
The coherence bandwidth, is a range of frequencies over which two frequency components have a
strong potential for amplitude correlation, and is used to define whether the channel fading is flat or
frequency selective.
(iii) Coherence Time
The coherence time, T_c describes the expected time duration over which the impulse response of the
channel stays relatively invariant or correlated. The coherence time is approximately inversely
proportional to Doppler spread (Sklar, 1997).
(iv) Admissions Control
A probabilistic admissions control protocol was employed to ensure sufficient transmission time is
reserved to accommodate an estimated number of retransmissions. The transmission time reserved for
retransmissions will vary

Wreck Site Of The Titanic
April of 1912, R.M.S Titanic was set to sail her maiden voyage from Southampton, United Kingdom
to New York City. Titanic was claimed to be unsinkable by the ships designer Thomas Andrews;
Unfortunately, that would be deemed untrue on the morning of April 15th, 1912. Setting sail with just

it would never arrive. Tragically only 710 people would live to talk about the tragedy of the night that
Titanic sank. Over one hundred years after she sank, a new team of experts made the voyage out the

pieces of the wreck, the bow and stern. Those pieces have been found from numerous expeditions to
the wreck site since the very first expedition in 1985. This team set out with the most modern
technology to make a complete map of the wreck site. Teams in 1985 went out on the first
French/United States joint expedition to the Titanic and only found her bow and stern. Using the most

Communication and Why We Need Effective Communication
Introduction
With every interaction, whether active or passive, we find ourselves communicating with other people.
Even our silence connotes some intention, which others may interpret at their discretion. Whether by
artifact or by attendance, every human being constantly participates in the process of communication
Defining Communication
Communication means exchange of ideas, views, opinion, understanding, feelings, emotions, facts or
information between two or more persons by any sources or medium.
Communication is not only the essence of being human, but also a vital property of life... John A.

The importance of communication is best understood when there is a lack of it. Listening,
understanding and interpreting are as much integral to communication as words verbal, written or
gestured. How we communicate or express ourselves goes a great way towards determining how our
expressions are interpreted.
To quote Karl Popper, It is impossible to speak in such a way that you cannot be misunderstood .
Faulty or incomplete communication can completely mar the purpose of communicating and may
result in damaging consequences. This is where understanding the importance of communication and
communicating the right way comes into picture. Not everyone is equally endowed with the ability to
effectively express himself and this is where the importance of communication skills can be truly
fathomed. The importance of communication is equal in every walk of like, be it in personal,
professional or social life.
Components of Communication
Communication is effective when a concise and clear message is delivered well, received successfully,
and understood fully. The process of communication has the following distinct components: the sender

How Did The Gold Rush Shape Australian History

Mr. Patton.
How did the Gold Rush shape Australian history?
The Australian gold rush began in May 1851, when Edward Hargraves claimed that he had discovered
gold near Bathurst. After the Australians had heard this news, most of them packed up their
belongings and left to go to Bathurst and mine for gold, hoping to get rich and wealthy.
When the Australian Gold Rush began, many immigrates came to Australia, all of whom contributed
their own cultural influences. This was the start of multiculturalism. The Chinese came and mostly all
of them stayed in Australia and built businesses in the towns, once the main gold deposits were mined
out.
There was a huge increase in the population. In 1851, Australia s population was 437,655. By the end
of the gold rush, 1861, Australia s population was doubled. But sadly after the gold rush, many of the

Revolutionary Characters: What Made the Founders Different Scholarly Review
Gordon S. Wood, the author of the story, Revolutionary Characters: What Made the Founders
Different , retells the lives of many influential men, through series of essays, who will forever leave
their mark on the evolution of American government. These men helped create an egalitarian
government, which gave voice to the people, an idea very uncommon at this time. Thus, the citizen s
opinions of people in power changed, and there would no longer be a group of self made elite leaders
ever again. Instead, a group of government leaders was created to be equal to the citizens. He uses
these men, and their stories to support the thesis that the founders were a unique generation of men
and women that can never be replicated.

Cognitive Development And Social Development
This essay will concentrate on cognitive development as opposed to physical, language or social
development. There are two schools of thought which aim to explain cognitive development, namely
continuous cognitive development, through the behaviourist account, and stage like development,
through the organismic account (Smith, 1997). We will explore Piaget s contributions to the field with
his account of cognitive development happening through concrete stages, namely the sensorimotor,
the pre operational, concrete operational and the formal operational stages. The experiments he
developed to prove his theories will also be examined, as well as the criticisms that more
contemporary literature have put forth about these. By the end of this ... Show more content on

Piaget believed shematas to be of essential importance for children s cognitive development, and
assumed that these are stored and expanded. Schematas are patterns of behaviour learned, stored and
then used when confronted with similar situation, for example a person may have a schema about
getting on a plane: get their boarding pass, go through security, wait in the lounge, go to their gate, get
on the plane (this type of schema is called a script) and whenever they are in an airport ready to travel
they will retrieve the schema from memory and apply it to the situation . For infants schemas tend to
be a lot simpler and it is in their course of their cognitive development that these expand and multiply.
According to Piaget, some schemas are innate for newborns. Units of knowledge stored in their brains
at a neonatal stage, for example the sucking schema (Brain Mukherji, 2005) where no one had to teach
the infant how to feed from his mum, or his thumb (Freud accounts for this stage of development as
well, yet he does not class it as cognitive development but rather a stage in a child s psychosexual
development (Stone, 1991) it is worth noting that despite the disparity between the kind of
development, both theorists agreed on child development occurring in stages). Assimilation, therefore,
flows on naturally from schemas as this is the process by which a learned

Accuracy And Accuracy Of Knowledge
Knowledge is considered accurate when there is sufficient evidence that it is the truth. Over time,
methods of verifying the accuracy of knowledge change. As learners, we often equate accuracy with
the value of knowledge, however, the value of accuracy is dependent on the area of knowledge under
consideration. Today, accuracy in the natural sciences is vital as any error can be catastrophic. In 1986,
a flawed reactor and human error caused the Chernobyl disaster that exposed millions to radiation and
had significant long term impacts. However in history, complete accuracy is almost unattainable. As
historians cannot first hand experience past events, they can only try to make connections with
available sources to suggest what happened ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through the constant pursuit of knowledge, people began to put a greater emphasis on empirical
evidence rather than religion and its faith in the unobserved, and parts of these sacred texts began to be
ignored and upon the discovery of new contradicting information, even re interpreted. In the Age of
Enlightenment (1600 1800), there was shift from accepting traditional beliefs to challenging them.
This raises the knowledge question, to what extent has knowledge in the natural sciences become
more objective and less dependent on religious knowledge over time? For centuries, churches in Italy
were repeatedly destroyed by lightning. In 1769, the Church of San Nazaro containing gunpowder
exploded after being struck by lightning, destroying one sixth of the city and killing over 3000 people.
Despite placing iron rods on roofs being proven successful in preventing lightning strikes, the theory
suggested that lightning was an electrical phenomenon, and not controlled by Satan, so the church
rejected this. Following the tragedy did the Roman Catholic Church withdraw its objection to
lightning rods. In the natural sciences, knowledge is based on what can be observed and proven
through experiments. Before scientific discoveries were made, people relied on faith to explain what
they could not observe. However, by discovery through trial and error,

Cinderella, And The Disney Two Different Versions Of...
According to Refinary 29, there are reportedly 345 to 1500 versions of Cinderella. The first version of
Cinderella originated in France written by Charles Perrault in 1697 (Donahue). Different versions of
Cinderella can be found as movies, books, plays, and poems. Three of the most popular versions are
Little Golden Book Cinderella, the Grimm brothers version of Cinderella , and the Disney 2015 film
Cinderella. In the various versions of Cinderella, similarities and differences can be found in the
theme of the story, the archetype of water portrayed through setting and scenes, and character of
Cinderella s father. .
In each version of Cinderella the theme becomes evident through the small details. In the Little
Golden Book, the theme is that hard work and kindness pays off. Cinderella was kind to everyone, (4)
and worked hard all day long (8). In the end, Cinderella had a happy ending and lived happily ever
after while her evil Stepmother and Stepsisters suffered. In the Grimm Brothers version of Cinderella ,
the theme is that people get what they deserve. Cinderella, remained pious and good, while the
Stepmother and Stepsisters were evil. The Stepmother and Stepsisters got what they deserved and, for
their wickedness and falsehood, they were punished with blindness (para. 65). Lastly in the Disney
2015 film, the theme is to have courage and be kind. Cinderella was kind to everyone even her
stepmother and stepsisters, even though they were mean to her. Cinderella also had a lot of courage to
stay in the house because her parents loved the house. Cinderella married the prince and had a happy
ending, because she had courage and was kind while her evil Stepmother and Stepsisters were exiled
from the kingdom. All of these themes are essentially about karma and how if someone is kind and
work hard then they will be rewarded, but if someone is mean and lazy it will come back to haunt
them. Essentially the themes are all about what goes around comes around. The biggest difference is
the Grimm Brother s Cinderella theme sends a message of vengeance while the themes of the Little
Golden Book, and film have no negative connotation. A common archetype in all three versions of
Cinderella is water. An

Employing the Karenga text one can evaluate the different resistances that transpired in Antigua as Cultural, Resistance, Day to Day Resistance, Abolitionism, Armed Resistance, Revolts, Ship Mutinies, and Afro Native Alliance. One can conclude that enslaved Africans had an unrelenting resistance to enslavement (Karenga). There is evidence that confirms enslaved Africans were able to execute successful ship mutinies, while at sea, and control their destiny by establishing maroon societies wherever they landed in the Caribbean. These maroon societies would later act as sanctuaries for escaped slaves throughout the Caribbean. In Antigua, one prominent maroon society was located around the summit of Antigua s extinct volcano, Boggy Peak now known as Mount Obama (Dash). Maroon societies allowed groups of escaped slaves and their descendants to maintain a free community in close proximity of society, but independent of European influence. Maroon communities developed their own distinctive cultures. Since most maroon communities were founded by African born people, they incorporated and preserved many aspects of African culture, including language, religious practices, and craft styles (Jaede). Self And Place In Waiting For The Barbarians In this thesis, the goal is to examine how the sense of Self and Place is portrayed and influenced by colonialism, in two postcolonial fictional South African novels; J.M. Coetzee s Waiting for the Barbarians and Nadine Gordimer s Burger s Daughter. Both authors have won the Nobel Prize for Literature, in 1991 Gordimer was the first South African author to receive this Prize, and Coetzee joined her in 2003. First of all, Coetzee s novel Waiting for the Barbarians offers the story of the Magistrate going through a crisis of conscience in a complicated place, however the Magistrate serves as a parallel for all human beings living under regimes that disregard lawfulness and respectable behaviour. Secondly, Gordimer s novel Burger s Daughter materialized ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Abstract: Effect of various concentrations of NSAIDs (Non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) on growth of commercial probiotic preparations (A, B, C, and D) were observed by agar well diffusion assay. Zone of inhibition was recorded after 24 h and found that different samples of probiotics showed more or less susceptibility to different doses of NSAIDs. Unemployment in a stringent manner refers to all persons within the working age group who are without work, but are available for work and actively seeking work (Bryne Strobl, 2001). Unemployment in broad manner refers to all persons within the working age group, who are available for work irrespective of whether or not they are actively seeking work. The two definitions differ on whether an unemployed person is actively looking for work or not. Disadvantages Of A Semi Structured Interview Section 1: Methodological Considerations Question 1 One advantage of a semi structured interview is that in the case of participants who tend to answer questions briefly, the interviewer can ask more open ended questions and cater the structure of the interview for the participant. The interviewer has a choice of which order to ask the questions in and how to ask them. For instance, in the transcript for the interview, the interviewer is being provided with one sentence yes/no replies in the beginning. Then, a few questions later, the interviewer asks a more detailed question that asks the participant how they manage their diabetes and who helps them. This prompts a more detailed response from the participant, who has now been asked to speak more freely about their experience with diabetes. Furthermore, for semi structured interviews, the interviewers can follow what the participants are saying and modify their questions accordingly. The interviewer can be prompted by something the participant has said, and explore that prompt further in their proceeding questions. For example, when the respondent states that they do their own finger prick blood test, the interviewer then explores that deeper by asking follow up questions such as what equipment the participant uses and the difference in their own materials versus the hospital s. In just one of his major scenes, Shakespeare has been able to successfully develop the plot, the main theme and the characters. Act I Scene III has a huge impact on plot development, especially towards the main characters like Macbeth and Banquo. Firstly, it foreshadows the future of the play and gives audience a feeling of curiosity towards the thought of prophecies coming true or not especially when one has came true. To go along with this transition in sound, the 1970s continued the experimental music scene that the 1960s created. I personally enjoy Queen and rank them highly on my list of favorites. By stating a band as being overrated, I mean that they receive more fame and acclaim than they deserve. For example, Led Zeppelin s early use of heavy guitars and drums is arguably responsible for the creation of the heavy metal genre (Waksman). A more modern example is Nirvana, who s music in the early and mid 1990s helped popularize alternative music as a whole (Azerrad). These are, charismatic authority, traditional authority, and legal rational authority. All of these authorities are important to understand. Mostly, because they play huge roles in day to day life. For anything so present in the world, the general population, should, at bare minimum, make an attempt to understand the forces around them. Charismatic authority is often envied when its embodiment is seen in real life. Conley explains Max Weber s point of view that those who possess this type of authority are thought to do so naturally and with ease (Conley 577). Many spot this type of authority from a mile away, welcoming it into their lives. Whether this be at work, with a manager who you can help but admire and respect because of their ability to seem to work hard and lead gracefully, to the fellow student who leads a group project in a way that makes the team collaborative and causes the project itself to have a sense of ease to it. Conley points out that charismatic authority has its own place in politics, explaining that there are statistics that show no amount of campaign money will help a candidate win an election if the electorate just doesn t like him or her (578). Along with the previous ideas, it is important to know that charismatic authority is the most difficult to maintain or pass on (578). In this charming puzzle title the process also involves a bit more thought than lumping together as much snow as you can find and then sticking a carrot and scarf on it. On the plus side there is no risk of frostbite and the activity isn t dependent on the weather. In my opinion, this concert was the most high energy and energetic concert we have had (since my time here). The songs were all surrounded by the theme of holiday spirit and it gave a warm and friendly tone that I believe the audience felt too. We had a variety of songs, in cooperated dancing, and were able to have almost a full house. This will be the concert we remember for the fun times and best choreography. It took a lot of preparation to put this concert together. Acapella alone had 10 songs we were participating in. And, many of the songs in this concert were in a different language. I loved the 2 soloists in 1 2 and how much courage they had to give it their all even though it was their first time being in choir. Choir 3 4 always amazes me with their rich sound. They sound so sophisticated and mature. It was also interesting to hear them perform another rendition of a song we had sang last year. Also, the middle schoolers did wonderful with their carol of the bells. In terms of our set list, I would say Gborn was our best piece. I heard the most feedback from the audience about how that song was beautiful, angelic, and just rich overall. I think we could have worked on dynamics at times but it is definitely a song that should be taken to tour. My personal favorite was Merry Christmas Mozart because it showed the fun side of us and gave the audience some perspective. Plus, as I looked around during that song I saw nothing but smiles. • 28. The Importance Of Tenure In Public Schools Once a person decides to make teaching their career choice their next steps are to research all aspects of the position. Among one of the first things a teacher investigates is the obtaining of tenure. Tenure is important because it provides a sense of security for the teacher. The securing of tenure means that as long as a teacher performs their duties in an effective manner they will have job security. An increase of tenured teachers on a staff means that you have an abundance of experienced teachers on your staff. These teachers therefore have acquired a great deal of knowledge and expertise. These teachers can serve as role models and support new staff members. These tenured teachers also become the academic leaders of the school serving as professional development team leaders, grade level chairpersons and general all around support for the school. Many principals however, have a problem with a staff of teachers with tenure. As a principal, this means that you must handle these teachers a little differently because they are the underlying instructional leaders of the school. As principal, this means that you have to present new ideas and strategies to your tenured staff a little differently because if they object to the ideas you cannot dismiss them or fire them without due process (Essex, 2012). Tenure in Public Schools Tenure in public schools has to be provided by state statute (Essex, 2012). Most tenure laws are designed to protect good teachers. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The wireless channel is different and much more unpredictable than the wire line channel because of factors such as multipath and shadow fading, Doppler shift, and time dispersion or delay spread. These factors are all related to variability introduced by mobility of the user and the wide range of environmental conditions that are encountered as a result. (i) Multipath Delay Spread The multipath delay spread is the time dispersion characteristic of the channel. Each multipath component is typically associated with different time delay and attenuation. The shortest of which is the LOS path. The root mean square delay spread in multipath delay is denoted by τ_d and the maximum spread in frequency due to Doppler shift, f_m. (ii) Coherence Bandwidth The coherence bandwidth, is a range of frequencies over which two frequency components have a strong potential for amplitude correlation, and is used to define whether the channel fading is flat or frequency selective. (iii) Coherence Time The coherence time, T_c describes the expected time duration over which the impulse response of the channel stays relatively invariant or correlated. The coherence time is approximately inversely proportional to Doppler spread (Sklar, 1997). Wood, the author of the story, Revolutionary Characters: What Made the Founders Different , retells the lives of many influential men, through series of essays, who will forever leave their mark on the evolution of American government. These men helped create an egalitarian government, which gave voice to the people, an idea very uncommon at this time. Thus, the citizen s opinions of people in power changed, and there would no longer be a group of self made elite leaders ever again. Instead, a group of government leaders was created to be equal to the citizens. There are two schools of thought which aim to explain cognitive development, namely continuous cognitive development, through the behaviourist account, and stage like development, through the organismic account (Smith, 1997). We will explore Piaget s contributions to the field with his account of cognitive development happening through concrete stages, namely the sensorimotor, the pre operational, concrete operational and the formal operational stages. The experiments he developed to prove his theories will also be examined, as well as the criticisms that more contemporary literature have put forth about these. By the end of this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Piaget believed shematas to be of essential importance for children s cognitive development, and assumed that these are stored and expanded. Schematas are patterns of behaviour learned, stored and then used when confronted with similar situation, for example a person may have a schema about getting on a plane: get their boarding pass, go through security, wait in the lounge, go to their gate, get on the plane (this type of schema is called a script) and whenever they are in an airport ready to travel they will retrieve the schema from memory and apply it to the situation . For infants schemas tend to be a lot simpler and it is in their course of their cognitive development that these expand and multiply. According to Piaget, some schemas are innate for newborns. Units of knowledge stored in their brains at a neonatal stage, for example the sucking schema (Brain Mukherji, 2005) where no one had to teach the infant how to feed from his mum, or his thumb (Freud accounts for this stage of development as well, yet he does not class it as cognitive development but rather a stage in a child s psychosexual development (Stone, 1991) it is worth noting that despite the disparity between the kind of development, both theorists agreed on child development occurring in stages). As learners, we often equate accuracy with the value of knowledge, however, the value of accuracy is dependent on the area of knowledge under consideration. Today, accuracy in the natural sciences is vital as any error can be catastrophic. In 1986, a flawed reactor and human error caused the Chernobyl disaster that exposed millions to radiation and had significant long term impacts. In the Age of Enlightenment (1600 1800), there was shift from accepting traditional beliefs to challenging them. This raises the knowledge question, to what extent has knowledge in the natural sciences become more objective and less dependent on religious knowledge over time? For centuries, churches in Italy were repeatedly destroyed by lightning. In 1769, the Church of San Nazaro containing gunpowder exploded after being struck by lightning, destroying one sixth of the city and killing over 3000 people. Despite placing iron rods on roofs being proven successful in preventing lightning strikes, the theory suggested that lightning was an electrical phenomenon, and not controlled by Satan, so the church rejected this. The first version of Cinderella originated in France written by Charles Perrault in 1697 (Donahue). Different versions of Cinderella can be found as movies, books, plays, and poems. Three of the most popular versions are Little Golden Book Cinderella, the Grimm brothers version of Cinderella , and the Disney 2015 film Cinderella. In the various versions of Cinderella, similarities and differences can be found in the theme of the story, the archetype of water portrayed through setting and scenes, and character of Cinderella s father. . In each version of Cinderella the theme becomes evident through the small details. In the Little Golden Book, the theme is that hard work and kindness pays off. Cinderella was kind to everyone, (4) and worked hard all day long (8). In the end, Cinderella had a happy ending and lived happily ever after while her evil Stepmother and Stepsisters suffered. In the Grimm Brothers version of Cinderella , the theme is that people get what they deserve. Cinderella, remained pious and good, while the Stepmother and Stepsisters were evil. The Stepmother and Stepsisters got what they deserved and, for their wickedness and falsehood, they were punished with blindness (para. 65). Lastly in the Disney 2015 film, the theme is to have courage and be kind. Cinderella was kind to everyone even her stepmother and stepsisters, even though they were mean to her. Cinderella also had a lot of courage to stay in the house because her parents loved the house. Cinderella married the prince and had a happy ending, because she had courage and was kind while her evil Stepmother and Stepsisters were exiled from the kingdom.
