Information to Those Who Would Remove to America Essay
Information to those who would remove to America
By: Benjamin Franklin
At a time of hardship and human progression in North America especially in the 1700 s one name
specifically shines out amongst all others. That name is Benjamin Franklin; a visionary inventor,
politician, and true American hero. In the late 1700 s, precisely 1784, Benjamin Franklin wrote an
informative essay titled, Information to Those Who Would Remove to America. It was printed out as a
pamphlet for people in Europe to clarify the endless rumors about America being the land of dreams
and fantasy. He clearly states what s needed and wanted in America, and what s not welcomed there.
The essay also shows us how American culture is portrayed and what they hold ... Show more content

3. Strangers of Birth must be greatly respected, and of course easily obtain the best of those Offices
and Of civil Offices or Employments there are few; no superfluous Ones as in Europe; The third
rumor was to put to rest, the fact that you were born into nobility, doesn t mean we ll hire you to work
in our government. Also, there were so many offices in America waiting to be filled this was false. In
a way, Franklin was almost mocking the Europeans on how they have so many people doing useless
things, and not just have a few good men doing the country s job.
4. But give land gratis to Strangers, with Negroes to work for them, Utensils of Husbandry, Stocks of
Cattle. Finally, many people in Europe believed that if you were to move to America, the government
will give you land, free transportation from Europe to America, negroes that will work for you, and
farming needs such as tools and livestock. It was a firm belief in America that hard work was valued,
perhaps that was something passed on from the Puritans. People who migrated there had to work hard,
it wasn t a red carpet waiting for you there; but a clean slate where you can start from scratch and
build your own dreams and aspirations. From reading Ben Franklin s essay, it tells us a lot about who
he was, and how America was at the time. He felt that it was needed to refute the rumors and give
evidences about everything he wrote about. They also had different terminologies and ideals from

Conflict Between Conflict Management And Resolution
Learned there is still a negative association with conflict. Reflects poorly on the supervisor when there
is conflict but in reality it s only negative when the supervisor or employee, depending on the situation
does not address the conflict. Unresolved conflicts can negatively impact not only the employees
involved but also the company. Unresolved conflicts result in negative impacts not only to the
individual but also the company. Focus on the problem, not the person. Sometimes the conflict will be
reoccurring or unresolvable to the satisfaction of both parties.
The key concept that I learned or were reinforced through the readings are removing emotions, setting
a goal for the resolution and conflicts are inevitable. My position often requires me to be involved
with numerous conflicts both directly and indirectly. There are times that I encounter angry and
frustrated employees due to conflicts with both co workers and supervisors. Often I get involved and
help identify and walk both through the conflict.
One of the most critical concepts of conflict management and resolution is to remove emotions from
the issue. This is often easier said than done. It is important to remember that there are multiple
emotions from multiple people that can cloud judgement and influence our listening abilities.
Refraining from making assumptions based on emotional connection is also important. An example of
emotions and assumptions is one that occurred recently. One of my staff

P2: Outline how legislation, policies and procedures relating to health, safety and security influence
health and social care settings.
M1: Describe how health and safety legislation, policies and procedures promote the safety of
individuals in a health or social care setting. Within health and social care there are a number of acts
and procedures set out in legislation which must be followed. These acts ad procedures influence care
settings by offering practical examples of good practice and the way that health and social care should
be delivered. They provide advice on how to comply with the law and determine what is reasonably

the right to see their personal records. This act was again reviewed in 2000 to include computerised

The Moral Universe And Moral Tradition
Christianity has been enculturated by the African people to be truly African and truly Christian . By
doing this through various practices it makes the religion profoundly colorful and vivid so that the
Biblical stories and memories come to life through the village and its people. There is a resonating
deep understanding by the community that their morality is steeped in their traditions and ancestral
worship. The people understand that everything comes from and flows from God and that the
ancestors (also referred to as the living dead) have a vital part in not just their individual development
but to move further as a community. In African Traditional Religion, the answers to these moral
question delineate the conception of morality in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the more bad things you do the more bad karma that is accrued and therefore, the more
likely you are to be reincarnated into something lesser than what you were. Moving forward we can
see that there is an immanent need for a moral universe in any context of the word because of the way
humans needs to categorize things in order to understand them.
In Africa, there is an establishment of both context and content of African morality and ethics. God is
both the Giver of life and the power behind everything there is and when we take a look at the
universe there is a composition of divine and human hierarchy that helps the African people create
perceptions of the universe that the world is a sacred abode of God and their ancestors. Due to the way
the African people view the world, human action can be viewed almost as a sacred aspect of
Christianity, thus making the way they teach their religion a dynamic part of who they are and who
they will be. Making the religion not just about orthodoxy but also about orthopraxy, as we discussed
in class on various occasions. One also has to be born into it and learn it from childhood through
normal socializations.
The community takes their religion seriously which is very different than many western industrialized
countries like The United States of America, where

Mobile Payment Technology And The Consumer s Decision...
Mobile payment technology offers benefits to consumers and merchants by providing advanced
payment control and convenience for consumers and an elevated output for merchants.
There are many merchants competing for a portion of the mobile payment, but the lack of cooperation,
standardization and lack of choices from the mobile industry has created the customer confusion that
is associated to the actual technological changes and the evolving mobile competition.
Banks and Mobile technology companies are contending for a part of the portable payment, and they
face some challenges because of the lack of an agreement on the Mobile payment architecture. There
is customer demand for mobile and contactless payments, but some banks and Mobile companies that
want to decide the mobile architecture are affecting the consumer s decision process .
Mobile payments standards like NFC are credited with incorporating the best of Mobile and
contactless payments which will increase the customer s savings. Retailers will benefit from the price
cutback in payment processing. Mobile carriers will also benefit from higher profits from new Mobile
consumers and retailers.
Introduction/Thesis
Mobile and contactless technology had a big support from Asian countries like Japan and the
Philippines, where mobile platforms were launched. In 2002, the European Telecom Standards
Institute issued the first guidelines, Mobile Commerce (M Comm); Requirements for Payment
Methods for Mobile Commerce .

How To Train Your Dragon Analysis
How To Train Your Dragon , a 2010 film directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders, uses the film
codes to enhance the audience s understanding of the film. How To Train Your Dragon tells the tale of
a hapless young Viking named Hiccup, who befriends a dragon named Toothless. Together, they teach
the island of Berk about acceptance and overcoming differences. While producing the directors used
the film codes to add interest and understanding to the film, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the
film. The character code allows to better understand the personality of and have a deeper connection
with the characters. Representational code benefits the audience by letting them decipher what the
character represents. Meanwhile, the technical code uses film making equipment to give more
information about the characters, scenes and the film in its entirety. The character code enables the
audience to gain a deeper understanding of the characters.
The character code enables the audience to better understand the characters by offering insight into the
personalities of the characters. The character code requires the audience to analyse the character s
speech to better understand the character s personality, actions and behaviour. This is done through the
examination of the accent, tone, pitch, pace and volume of the character/s speaking. This is evident in
the Hiccup Initiation Ceremony Confession Scene in which Hiccup spits out, I m not one of them. . He
states this loudly, in a low pitch, slowly spitting out the words in a chilling manner with a cold and
harsh tone. Therefore, the audience interprets this as Hiccup displaying himself as being different to
the other Vikings in the manner of behaving in an amiable fashion towards dragons. The audience
subsequently comes to the conclusion that Hiccup has a compassionate, understanding and altruistic
personality, denoting his willingness to overcome bias and promote difference. The character code is
also apparent in the Opening Scene where Stoick harshly declares, What are you doing out? Get
inside! . Stoick speedily demanded this thunderingly, in a low pitch with an accusing and demanding
tone. As a result of this, the audience understands Stoick to be tough, powerful

The Red Candle In Amy Tan s The Joy Luck Club
The great battle of books vs movies is never ending. A book provides insight of the characters feelings
while a movie needs to evoke emotions in a shorter time frame. The Joy Luck Club, written by Amy
Tan, was adapted into a film in 1993. Unlike the Harry Potter series Amy Tan cowrote the screenplay,
meaning she had the ultimate decision of what makes it in the movie. Comparing both was quite
interesting knowing that Amy Tan could ve kept The Red Candle story and kept a clean view of the
aunts in the story. The book The Joy Luck Club was a novel of intertwined stories of four women and
their daughters. Reading each story was like finding a puzzle piece that lead to fully understand the
characters. One of the important stories used in the book was The Red Candle. The Red Candle is a
the symbol of marriage in China and the marriage was considered complete if the candle remained
burning through their marriage night. Lindo Jong purposely blew out the candle and decided that she

to China for June Woo to visit her sisters. In contrast the movie made the group of women seem a bit
manipulative. When they found the twins instead of informing them of their mother s death, they
pretended that their mother was coming to visit rather than June. Leaving June to explaining that their
mother died years ago right after getting off the ship. The change made June s trip to China more
dramatic than it was in the book which wasn t completely necessary. I think the portrayal of the group
of women during that scene didn t do the book s description justice, All it did was add a dramatic

The Formation Of A Corporation
Abstract
The formation of a business is generally influenced by motive or strategy that best suits the business
owners. There are four types of business entities that exist and each having different tax implications.
These entities include sole proprietorships, C Corporations (C Corps), S Corporations (S Corps), and
Partnerships. This paper will focus on the advantages and disadvantages of C Corporations and S
Corps and deciding which one makes more sense than the other.
Formation of a Corporation
A corporation is formed under the laws of the state in which the corporation is registered (SBA.gov).
Corporations can either be a C Corp or an S Corp; in which both have owner shareholders. Forming a
corporation requires establishing and registering your business with your state government and filing
documents named Articles of Incorporation. These documents are filed with your Secretary of State in
order to provide information to the state about your business and are also made available to the public
(SBA.gov). Generally, corporations provide limited liability for all owners (Sumutka, 2009). A C
Corporations is an independent legal entity that is owned by one or more shareholders and governed
by subchapter C of the Internal Revenue Code. C Corps, not shareholders, are held liable for any
actions or debt incurred (SBA.gov). Shareholders exchange money, property or both for stock in the C
Corp. A C Corp is recognized as a separate entity for federal income tax purposes and is

12 Angry Men Assignment
A. Groups and Teams
1. Identify the dysfunctional and functional properties of the group in the film as they pertain to the
problem the group is working on.
In this film, the numerous functional and dysfunctional properties of the 12 jury men play a big role in
analysing and evaluating the main purpose at hand, namely identifying the young man guilty or
innocent for the murder of his father.
The different roles the 12 jury men play in the deliberation of the capital murder case is prominent.
Firstly, a role can be defined as a set of expected behaviour patterns attributed to someone occupying a
given position in a social unit. Different groups enforce different role requirements on individuals
namely; role expectation, role perception ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the beginning of the film, conflict between the jury members arise when the initial vote was taken
and only one member of the jury voted that the verdict was not guilty (Juror 8). Because Juror 8 did
not agree with the other jury members, Juror 12 suggested that the group should try and convince
Juror 8, why they think defendant is indeed guilty. Conflict also increases when it was decided that
each Juror should give a reason for why he initially voted that verdict is guilty or not guilty. In the
process of discussing the reasoning behind each members vote, the preconceptions of some Jurors,
namely Juror 10, lead to the conformity of other group members, namely Juror 5. During the film,
miscommunication between the members leads to further misunderstanding which eventually resulted
in role conflict. Simple conflict also took place when the jury members could not agree on a certain
issue. Ego conflict occurred because of the group members personality disagreements.
When looking at the film, 12 Angry men , conformity plays a big role in the jury room. The film
demonstrates the tremendous amount of power social influence can have on individuals to conform
because they believe that by adjusting their own behaviour to align to the norms of the group, will lead
to an increased level of acceptance. Conformity due to social influence can be identified within the
jury room, some Juror members conformed due to

Metamorphosis In Never Cry Wolf
In the movie Never Cry Wolf a young Canadian biologist named Tyler goes to the Canadian artic after
being assigned by the government to find and study why the caribou population is dying, with the
government thinking that the wolves are attacking and killing the caribou. Tyler encounters two
wolves, naming them George and Angeline, who have pups. He watches them closely, and marks his
territory with urine, to create trust with the wolves, George and Angeline are curious of Tyler, just as
he is of them. An example of metamorphosis is how Tyler sees that the wolves have only eaten mice,
so he starts an experiment with only eating mice as a food source for the time that he is there, the

This wolf howl is needed towards the end of the movie, when Tyler realizes that George and Angeline
are no longer coming back, and the pack is needed to come and take care of the pups. As Tyler
becomes more aware of the wolves, he realizes that they are not the killers that people assume they are
and his experiments, evidence and experiences will all go back with him, back to civilization. This
archetype is covered a few times in the movie, Never Cry Wolf. Beginning with the Inuit Myth, this is
shown in the movie, as Tyler finds out when he sees for himself that the pack makes unsuccessful
attacks on the caribou, so he tries to make the caribou go towards the wolves, and they eventually
make a catch, but upon examination by Tyler, the caribou is weak and diseased, showing that the
wolves only kill and eat the weak caribou, and the strong caribou stay strong. Destruction also occurs
with the family of George and Angeline, their pups are left scared and lonely, as their parents are gone
for good, killed by Mike, who has a new smile with a new set of teeth (although at first Tyler thought
it was Rosie that had killed and taken them), this brings rage to Tyler who knows he has to protect the
pups and eventually calls on the pack to come

Summary Of Experiential Learning
In the reading Experiential Learning: Experience as the Source of Learning and Development by
David Kolb (1984), he proposed that learning is a cycle process in which individuals learn through
their own experiences in life. This notion of the learning cycle in which he was influenced by the ideas
of three other theorists (Piaget, Dewey, and Lewinian) called it Experiential Learning Theory. Kolb s
theory was based on how people learned by imputing information and processing the information.
Within this two abilities, there are four steps in which Kolb s believe the learning process occurs. The
first one he calls concrete experience , in which one actually does the learning right then and now. The
second one is reflective observation when the learner thinks about what they did as a reflection of the
experience. The next step is the abstract conceptualization , where the learner makes a generalization
of the experience. The last step is active experimentation , where the learner puts to practice his/her
understanding and adapts to it. The learner does this by taking all the first three steps of the learning
cycle and seeing the results (pg. 30). Learning is a process in which individuals learn through trial and
error. This process can then be reused with our prior experience to strengthen the outcome of our first
experience. It is shaped as a cycle in the way we process information cognitively. This is how I
understood of the reading on Kolb s Experiential Learning Theory.

Revenge And Revenge In William Shakespeare s Hamlet
Being the prince of a nation offers all ideals for a twenty something year old man: wealth, beautiful
women, a strong and well respected father as king, power, and other commonly desirable perks. When
father is king, immunity is granted not a single person would want to mess with the king s only son.
But what would happen if the king gets brutally murdered by family? In William Shakespeare s
Hamlet, young Hamlet discovers that his father was savagely poisoned by his own brother, Claudius.
Upon hearing this news, Hamlet acquires but one thought revenge; after all, the man who young
Hamlet had looked up to the most his own father had his life taken by family. When placed in a large

Hamlet makes the right decision when he decides to not kill Claudius (at least, not immediately).
When a situation involves death, achieving revenge can be complicated because at first not all the
details of the circumstances are presented; therefore, it is necessary to wait and allow things to get
cleared up before any large decisions are made. Hamlet, instead, chooses to set up a play where the
actors demonstrate a scene that comes near the circumstances... of [his] father s death (Act III, Scene
II, ll. 81 82) in order to see how Claudius would respond. During this part Claudius gets up from his
seat and leaves in anger, signifying that he did in fact kill his former brother and king. Had Hamlet not
cleverly set up this performance, his reaction to his father s death might have been extreme and out of
proportion. The former king of Norway s son, on the contrary, does not plan a justifiable revenge;
...young Fortinbras, of unimproved mettle hot and full.. wishes to recover of [Denmark] those foresaid
lands so by his father lost (Act I, Scene I, ll. 107 108, 114 116). The Norwegian prince chooses to not
pay attention to the details of how his father died and lost some of his country s land; therefore, his
actions would not be honorable and heroic. Although he would be taking back what his people lost,
the land was surrendered fairly. Deeds of vengeance must be equivalent in severity or less in order to
be viewed honorably, or else society would view the action as

Wisdom In The Didascalicon
In the Didascalicon, Hugh of St. Victor stresses that the pursuit of wisdom should be held before any
other action of man. Wisdom illuminates the mind so that the mind may return to its natural
inclination of reason unique to humans. However, the human mind is infatuated with what its body
senses and therefore strays from its nature within. But with instruction the mind can bounce back into
seeking the correct goal of perfect good. Wisdom is found through pursuing this good that is obtained
through the discipline of philosophy. Furthermore, philosophy is for the exercise of the soul that is
endowed with power to investigate with human reason. Hugh of St. Victor lays out the separate unity
of the threefold power of the soul to differentiate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The difference between the two is dependent on the third power of the soul that Hugh of St. Victor
interprets, for it is privileged to the human soul and it is what allows them to wonder. The first two
powers are available to all living creatures. The first is nutritious to the existence of the body itself;
allowing it to sprout from birth to adulthood. The second is the judgement that is perceived through
the senses of the body. Hugh of St. Victor describes this element of the soul as a composite and
conjoint power which subsumes the first and makes it part of itself (Didascalicon I. 3). Thus, the first
two powers of the soul are inseparable within every living creature. On the other hand, the third power
of the soul feeds upon the human mind to investigate and understand the way things are. This power
of the mind allows human beings to not only explain what it sees, but also to question and interpret the
existence of things. The third power of the soul is therefore one of two wisdoms within man. Granted
the mind has the ability to pursue wisdom within itself it is important that there is a difference
between the wisdom that is a tool to obtain an easier living standard, and the wisdom that belongs to
the theory of that tool. Consequently, philosophy is the wisdom that theorizes and is therefore the
pursuit of that wisdom. Philosophy can accordingly be applied to all actions of man to better the

The Development Of The Adolescent Health Status Of Young...
Introduction:
Adolescents are a group often overlooked when it comes to health interventions. Currently there are
many services to assist parents with young children involving early intervention and community based

services have meant that there has been an overall improvement in the health of young children. In
comparison the improvement of health in adolescents has been much less. (1) In particular concern for
this group are mental health disorders, drug and alcohol abuse, sexually transmitted infections and
teenage pregnancy. (3) In MidCentral, some initiatives have already been implemented to improve the
accessibility of health services to youth. This paper will look at these current services and examine
aspects that could be improved as well as propose alternative ideas that can contribute to the
improvement of the adolescent health status in this region.
Issues affecting Adolescents:
An investigation was made exploring the factors that may contribute to adolescent behavior called
Improving the Transition Reducing Social and Psychological morbidity during adolescence.
Mentioned in the report is that there is a large increase in mortality and morbidity during adolescence
by almost 200% compared with childhood. Adolescents undergo many physical and emotional
changes as a result of puberty. Brain maturation is also occurring but is not complete until later in life.

Crosby V. Cosby Case
According to the recently opened court documents and depositions from a civil suit filed by the
alleged victim, Mr. Crosby acknowledged he had given women Quaaludes as a party drug in his
efforts to have sex. These documents had been sealed but were released by a federal judge in July
2015. Additional signs of Cosby s consciousness of guilt are his apologies to the victim and her
mother along with his offer of financial assistance. The proof of rational choice, in this case, is in the
premeditation of it. Obtaining the drugs, liquor, and maneuvering to be alone with his intended victim.
All of this takes planning. It doesn t happen accidently. Combined with the nearly 60 women that
claim this happened to them but can t charge due to the statute

Analysis Of The Globe And Mail Written By Antonia Maioni
It should come as no surprise that Quebec s history is distinct and as a result, has transformed the
province into a distinct region within Canada. Canada s fête without Quebec, an article in The Globe
and Mail written by Antonia Maioni, illustrates the division between Quebec and the rest of Canada
especially on Canada Day. Maioni discusses the importance of July 1st for Quebeckers as the fête de
déménagement, when rental leases often change hands in the province, and not the celebration of
Canada. She notes that for francophone Quebeckers, Canada Day is nothing short of the ordinary since
their lives do not revolve around being patriotic flag wavers (Maioni). This deep seated resentment
remains over Confederation and what is seen as a less then perfect deal stuck in order to unite what
Canadians know today to be Canada. With 2014 being historically significant in marking the 150th
anniversary of both the Charlottetown and Quebec conferences, the gathering in Quebec has been
largely omitted. Maioni argues that it is the Quebec conference that should merit some reflection since
that is where the constitutional framework was established. Unlike in Charlottetown, which become a
commemorative cottage industry as a result of central Canadians intervening on what was once
supposed to be a Maritime union (Maioni). This paper will discuss how Quebec s relationship to
Canada is framed in the media and how it affects regional experience as a result.

Why Should Slang Be Banned In School
Walking down a school hallway, one is guaranteed to hear slang being used by nearly all the students.
This is because slang is one of the most popular forms of communication, especially among youth.
However, there is much debate over whether slang should be banned in school. Banning slang is
schools could have consequences and lead to separation among students. Slang should be allowed in
schools because it is an easy and fun way for students to communicate with each other, it establishes
commonality among students, and banning slang could potentially alienate students. Although slang

While this tribe may be a majority of youth or just a small group of friends, slang can still allow
students to feel included. Students will feel more comfortable around people who use the same words

others. Slang allows people, mainly teenagers, to relate with one another using language. Therefore,
slang can help form friendships among students and create a friendly environment at schools. The
slang students use to connect with others also gives them a sense of identity. A person s identity is
heavily associated with the people they relate to and spend time with. Essentially, a student s tribe can

America s Civil Justice Reform
Introduction On February 27, 1992, Stella Liebeck, aged 79 at the time, bought a coffee from the drive
thru of a McDonald s in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She spilled the coffee on herself and received
third degree (full thickness) burns. She sued McDonald s and was originally awarded almost $3
million in damages. This case is a perfect example of frivolous litigation and is one of the reasons
some Americans think there needs to be civil justice reform.
Facts
Liebeck was riding as a passenger in her grandson s car. After receiving her order, he pulled up and
stopped so Liebeck could put cream and sugar in her coffee. She placed the Styrofoam coffee between
her knees because there was no cup holder and tried to remove the lid. However, the coffee spilled
onto her and she received third degree burns on her buttocks, genital, groin, and inner thighs. She was
hospitalized for eight days and had skin grafts and debridement treatments. Liebeck was also disabled
for two years after the accident and permanently scarred. Her daughter took off of work to help take
Stella to and from the hospital. She also lost around twenty percent of her bodyweight following the
incident. Before going to trial, Liebeck offered to settle for $20, 000, which would cover just her
hospital stay and other medical expenses. McDonald s counteroffered with an amount of $800. Ms.
Liebeck then hired an attorney, Reed Morgan, who had requested $90,000. McDonald s also refused
this offer.

The Importance Of Healthy Diet For Healthy Lifestyle
Executive Summary Most people today have busy schedules and don t spend a whole lot of time at
home. There have been a lot of promotions to lead a healthy lifestyle. More and more organizations
such as governmental and non governmental are promoting a healthy lifestyle. There have been flood
in news articles stating the importance of healthy diet leading to healthy living. Modern science also
stresses the consequences of imbalances in diet including obesity and deficiency diseases. However,

A Comparison of Guido and Dora Orefice in the Film Life Is...
The characters of Guido and Dora Orefice, from the Italian film Life is Beautiful have many
differences in their personalities and backgrounds but are very similar in some important ways. They
are both strong willed, independent, and have strong family values. Guido is a Jewish man, who is
presumably poor because the beginning of the film deals with him attempting to find a job. He
eventually finds one as a waiter, which suits his personality because he is the type of person that
always wants to please others and make them happy. Despite the prejudice he receives for being
Jewish he is a very happy and good humored person. Dora on the other hand, grew up in very different
circumstances. She is not Jewish, probably Christian, and is from a fairly wealthy family. She is
already engaged to another man, the man who refused Guido a job after he accidentally dropped eggs
on his head. She is a somewhat reserved teacher and seems to be a very responsible, well behaved, and
compliant woman, until she meets Guido that is. Guido falls in love with her immediately when he
meets her. Dora doesn t appear to fall in love as instantaneously as Guido does but she eventually fall
for him and she asks him to take her away. They leave her engagement party together on horseback in
front of her whole family. As a result of her leaving the other man for an undesirable , Dora is
ostracized by her entire family. In their minds she has shamed them for marrying a Jewish man.

In fact, using Adderall and other cognitive enhancing drugs in the workplace is a controversial issue
for many companies. Similar to taking off label medicines in football games, many people consider
taking drugs in the workplace as an unethical action. If the management promote employees who use
Adderall to boost their working performance, it will be unfair for others who only work by their
natural abilities. In contrast, if the promotion is based on medicines usages, this will violate employees
privacy. Besides the ethical issues, the management should also consider the strategy issues in order to
make a wise personnel decision. This means that the management should be able to predict how the
decision affects the company in the future. For example, although Adderall and other cognitive
enhancing drugs can help people to feel stronger, more energetic and exciting, their benefits will
dissipate after a period of time. If the employees stop taking Adderall, they might not maintain their
working performance. As a result, their productivity might be decreased, and the profit of the
company will be negatively affected. Some people believe Adderall may help them to improve their
brainpower and concentration; however, others argue that they are unhealthy and cause a lot of serious
side effects. Users have to suffer unexpected negative effects of this medicine and may

Mein Kampf And The Formation Of Hitlers Ideas Essay
Mein Kampf And The Formation Of Hitlers Ideas
The dominant political figure of German history in the twentieth century, Adolf Hitler, was born in a
lower middle class family in the provincial Austrian town of Braunau am Inn on 20 April 1889. In
1907 Hitler applied to enter the Vienna Academy of Art but his application was rejected. After the
death of his mother Klara, Hitler decided to move to Vienna. He drifted from job to job, often selling
sketches or painting scenes of Old Vienna and it was a period that he himself later called the most
miserable period of his life. Many of Hitler s views of the world were shaped by his experiences on
the streets of Vienna and it is probable that his violent anti Semitism dates from this time. ... Show

A central theme of Hitler s thinking was the concept of struggle. In the nineteenth century the
naturalist Charles Darwin had explained how in the world of nature when the environment changed
some of the species with favourable variations survived better that others. Darwin called this natural

Social Darwinism was a concept that emerged later in the nineteenth century suggesting that what
applied to nature could also apply to human society that the strong prevail over the weak, that superior
races prevail over inferior races. This concept with its theme of struggle and survival of the fittest
appealed to Hitler. Struggle wrote Hitler is the father of all things...He who wants to live must fight
and who does not want to fight in this world where external struggle is the law of life has no right to
exist *.
In Mein Kamph Hitler offered some insight into his thinking on exercise of power and in particular the
important role of propaganda, his contempt of parliamentary democracy and the Weimar Republic.
Hitler also wrote of the need for a national revival and the quest for living space. Hitler linked his
hatred of communism with his hatred of Jews. In Hitler s mind Russia was the centre

The Importance Of Leniency On Permit Requirements
Leniency on Permit Requirements Then, FWC s permit requirements are lenient on agriculture,
silviculture, and in the 10 or Fewer On Site permit. Agricultural activities such as tilling, planting,
harvesting, and roller chopping do not require a permit even if there are gopher tortoise burrows in the

silviculture, even though silviculture activities have the possibility of degrading the habitat type

area where they have no experience, expose them up to territory disputes, expose them to the risk that

Although RRT [Relocation, Repatriation, and Translocation] programs may work under certain
circumstances, they should not be used unless all parties involved are prepared to make the necessary
commitment (Dodd and Seigel, 1991, p. 347). If relocations are going to be a primary conservation

How Did Aristophanes Make Lysistrata A Crude Comedy
Aristophanes
Aristophanes was a comic writer who lived between 450 and 385 BC and composed about forty plays
in his lifetime. His plays were all comedies, which usually addressed very serious political and social
issues in a direct and crude manner, which, like much of today s comedy, is what made them funny for
the audience to watch and appreciate. Many of the comedies would even go as far as mocking
members of the audience or making personal attacks upon contemporary political personalities.
Aristophanes Lysistrata is no exception to this crude comedy, ridiculing what he thinks is the absurdity
of the Peloponnesian War. The comedy is a brilliantly constructed piece with an extremely profound

The city state built blockades to resist occupation by the Athenian army and sparked revolt elsewhere
in the area, in Chalcidice and Bottiaea. Since negotiations failed, the Athenians sent troops into the

There are reasons why natural rubber was chosen to make part of tyres. The first reason is natural

The reason for choosing carbon black as addition material in fillers is it has decreased rolling

You can also define the skill as your ability to change the actions or behaviors of other people, or to
encourage the actions and behaviors of others.
In a business setting this would be a manager s ability to get his employees to do their work more
efficiently; in a relationship this would be the influence to gain compromise from your partner,
siblings or children.
In the public this would be your ability to negotiate with strangers and foreigners, to get out of bad
situations or simply to negotiate better positions for yourself.
How the skill could be useful in business
In the work environment you do not always have the decision making autonomy that you need to
make your ideas a priority so the ability to persuade others to endorse or advocate for your ideas is a
valuable skill. When you re working with others, if you ever take on too much work it would be great
to be able to persuade your coworkers to assist you. You may even need to persuade your supervisors
or shareholders to give you more time instead of putting you under more pressure.
If you are responsible for training customer facing employees in your organization not only do you
have to be able to persuade them you need to be able to teach them persuasion in how to work with
your organization s customers. You may also need to persuade coworkers and employees to get them
more motivated and focused on their work.

The Death of Sardanapalus Analysis
The Death Of Sardanapalus
Art has been classified into many different types of styles. Some artists reflect the style perfectly in
their works and others express elements from different styles in their pieces. The frvdsRomantic art
style was a unique art style which drew away from the Neoclassical style, which was predominant.
Romantic art was the complete opposite of Neoclassicism. Where neoclassical artists favoured strict

There is no logical sense of scale or perspective. (Walsh) The Death of Sardanapalus is just clustered

Neoclassicism and Romanticism are two completely opposite things. Whereas Neoclassicism stresses

change, the company will make sales of 2, 337, 247 in 2014 and 1, 180 751 in 2015. The reason for
the decline will be because the product will have reached the shakeout stage where the number of new

Iphone 6 S. Jailbreaking
How to jailbreak an iPhone 6 S Jailbreaking an iPhone 6 S is an easy and simple process that includes
updating software to the latest version, downloading Pangu application, setting up the platform, and
distracting contents of the phone. Before you begin, you will need to gather a few accessories; USB
iPhone cord, iTunes app, Pangu app, laptop, and an iPhone 6 S. You should know that by jailbreaking
your iPhone, it is legal, but will void the warranty on the iPhone. If you have followed these steps
correctly, your iPhone should be jailbroken and ready to enter a world of unlimited modifications.
First, you will need to upgrade your iPhone to the latest version. Let s start by turning the iPhone on
and look for the settings app. After you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the process, the screen will have a pie chart and will read what percentage it has left. When it
gets to 75%, the iPhone will restart on its own. When it turns on by itself, look for the installed app
Pangu on the phone. Open the Pangu app, then it will ask do you accept Pangu to be installed on your
phone? Click on the accept option, then wait two minutes until the pie chart goes to 100%. After that
is done, disconnect your iPhone from the USB cable. Turn off airplane mode and open a newly
installed app called Cydia on the iPhone. Cydia was installed during the jailbreak process from Pangu.
Once the Cydia app is open, in the search tab, type in Cydia substrate. After locating it, click on the
download option. It will take 3 5 seconds to download. At this point, the only thing left to do is to
push the home button and start enjoying your new jailbroken iPhone.
If you have followed these directions correctly, you will have a ready to tweak jailbroken iPhone 6 s.
There is so much you can do with a jailbroken iPhone, like modifying apps that regular iPhone users
can t and using the iPhone as a hotspot for free. Just keep in mind, this is not illegal, because this
process is protected by The Digital Millennium Copyright Act(DMCA). If you get stuck on a step don
t worry, just restart the phone and go back through the

Essay about Richard Iii + Looking for Richard Comparative...
Good morning/afternoon
Throughout my comparative study of texts and context, I have explored various connections shared
between William Shakespeare s Richard the 3rd and Al Pacino s Looking for Richard . As both of
these items are based on the same character, King Richard the 3rd, they share a lot in common. The
connection that I have chosen to concentrate on though is the idea of power, and how both texts
explore this theme.
William Shakespeare is an extremely famous English poet and playwright and widely regarded as the
greatest writer in the English language. He was most prominent in the years 1585 1592 writing 38
plays. Richard 3rd is considered to be one of his greatest plays and was written in 1591 depicting the

Richard then gloats over his success in a soliloquy stating how he has won her heart even though he is
regarded by her as the devil with dissembling looks and he stabbed Edward her love just 3 months
earlier. This highlights how he thinks of himself as the best as he brags about his misdeeds as though
he is immortal.
Al Pacinos Looking for Richard is a failed movie attempt of Richard 3rd turned documentary
produced, directed and acted in by the man himself.
This same theme of power is evident throughout Al Pacino Looking for Richard as he wants to
establish himself as the definitive American Shakespeare actor and achieve greatness. I say this
because all throughout history American actors have been too afraid to act Shakespeare as it has
traditionally been English done, but Pacino strives to prove this wrong.
All throughout looking for Richard a documentary directed by and starring Al Pacino he is made to
seem on another level to anybody else. This is highlighted by Fredrick Kimball, who is also directing
the movie says with great passion You know more about Richard the 3rd than any other fucking
scholar at Columbia or Harvard
By Kimball saying this pacino is instantly placed on a higher level than

My Strengths And Weaknesses Of My Writing Course
Throughout the course I have become aware of the numerous weaknesses and strengths that I possess.
And a major weakness that I observe in my skills which can be detrimental to my writing is that I lack
the ability to organize my essays properly. When I write essays I tend to do so without the aid of an
outline, however, after this course I was able to understand that an outline is important for me to use.
An outline allows me to pace myself while I write, so that I will be able to properly organize any
essays.
Despite this weakness there are strengths that I have discovered in my writing. The strength is that I
am able to develop the body of my essay effectively. Additionally, I discovered that the work I was
doing both outside and in the course provided me with the opportunity to reinforce the skills I ... Show

A way in which I will work to improve this skill is by using online grammar worksheets to identify
major areas that I struggle with. Additionally, before starting university I will buy handbooks that can
explain grammar rules concisely. Furthermore, another set of skills that I hope to improve are my
transition skills. I will improve this writing skill by reading essays with acceptable transitions and
comparing them to my own essays, distinguishing the errors I committed when using transitions.
When I write papers, the first step that I take is I decide on the topic that I will write about and then I
will research it. I will research using scholarly articles, information that I may already know,
numerous websites and books. Once I have gathered a sufficient amount of information, I will develop
my thesis. Usually the first thesis I will develop changes as I begin outlining my essay, making sure
not to give away too much information. Consequently, learning to utilize the information available to
develop my thesis and being able to create a paper that is enjoyable and informative to the

Information to Those Who Would Remove to America Essay Information to those who would remove to America By: Benjamin Franklin At a time of hardship and human progression in North America especially in the 1700 s one name specifically shines out amongst all others. That name is Benjamin Franklin; a visionary inventor, politician, and true American hero. In the late 1700 s, precisely 1784, Benjamin Franklin wrote an informative essay titled, Information to Those Who Would Remove to America. It was printed out as a pamphlet for people in Europe to clarify the endless rumors about America being the land of dreams and fantasy. He clearly states what s needed and wanted in America, and what s not welcomed there. The essay also shows us how American culture is portrayed and what they hold ... Also, there were so many offices in America waiting to be filled this was false. In a way, Franklin was almost mocking the Europeans on how they have so many people doing useless things, and not just have a few good men doing the country s job. 4. But give land gratis to Strangers, with Negroes to work for them, Utensils of Husbandry, Stocks of Cattle. Finally, many people in Europe believed that if you were to move to America, the government will give you land, free transportation from Europe to America, negroes that will work for you, and farming needs such as tools and livestock. It was a firm belief in America that hard work was valued, perhaps that was something passed on from the Puritans. People who migrated there had to work hard, it wasn t a red carpet waiting for you there; but a clean slate where you can start from scratch and build your own dreams and aspirations. From reading Ben Franklin s essay, it tells us a lot about who he was, and how America was at the time. • 3. Conflict Between Conflict Management And Resolution Learned there is still a negative association with conflict. Reflects poorly on the supervisor when there is conflict but in reality it s only negative when the supervisor or employee, depending on the situation does not address the conflict. Unresolved conflicts can negatively impact not only the employees involved but also the company. Unresolved conflicts result in negative impacts not only to the individual but also the company. Focus on the problem, not the person. Sometimes the conflict will be reoccurring or unresolvable to the satisfaction of both parties. The key concept that I learned or were reinforced through the readings are removing emotions, setting a goal for the resolution and conflicts are inevitable. My position often requires me to be involved with numerous conflicts both directly and indirectly. There are times that I encounter angry and frustrated employees due to conflicts with both co workers and supervisors. Often I get involved and help identify and walk both through the conflict. One of the most critical concepts of conflict management and resolution is to remove emotions from the issue. This is often easier said than done. It is important to remember that there are multiple emotions from multiple people that can cloud judgement and influence our listening abilities. Refraining from making assumptions based on emotional connection is also important. An example of emotions and assumptions is one that occurred recently. One of my staff ... • 7. How To Train Your Dragon Analysis How To Train Your Dragon , a 2010 film directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders, uses the film codes to enhance the audience s understanding of the film. How To Train Your Dragon tells the tale of a hapless young Viking named Hiccup, who befriends a dragon named Toothless. Together, they teach the island of Berk about acceptance and overcoming differences. While producing the directors used the film codes to add interest and understanding to the film, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the film. The character code allows to better understand the personality of and have a deeper connection with the characters. Representational code benefits the audience by letting them decipher what the character represents. Meanwhile, the technical code uses film making equipment to give more information about the characters, scenes and the film in its entirety. The character code enables the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the characters. The character code enables the audience to better understand the characters by offering insight into the personalities of the characters. The character code requires the audience to analyse the character s speech to better understand the character s personality, actions and behaviour. This is done through the examination of the accent, tone, pitch, pace and volume of the character/s speaking. This is evident in the Hiccup Initiation Ceremony Confession Scene in which Hiccup spits out, I m not one of them. . He states this loudly, in a low pitch, slowly spitting out the words in a chilling manner with a cold and harsh tone. Therefore, the audience interprets this as Hiccup displaying himself as being different to the other Vikings in the manner of behaving in an amiable fashion towards dragons. The audience subsequently comes to the conclusion that Hiccup has a compassionate, understanding and altruistic personality, denoting his willingness to overcome bias and promote difference. The character code is also apparent in the Opening Scene where Stoick harshly declares, What are you doing out? Get inside! . Stoick speedily demanded this thunderingly, in a low pitch with an accusing and demanding tone. As a result of this, the audience understands Stoick to be tough, powerful ... • 15. Summary Of Experiential Learning In the reading Experiential Learning: Experience as the Source of Learning and Development by David Kolb (1984), he proposed that learning is a cycle process in which individuals learn through their own experiences in life. This notion of the learning cycle in which he was influenced by the ideas of three other theorists (Piaget, Dewey, and Lewinian) called it Experiential Learning Theory. Kolb s theory was based on how people learned by imputing information and processing the information. Within this two abilities, there are four steps in which Kolb s believe the learning process occurs. The first one he calls concrete experience , in which one actually does the learning right then and now. The second one is reflective observation when the learner thinks about what they did as a reflection of the experience. The next step is the abstract conceptualization , where the learner makes a generalization of the experience. The last step is active experimentation , where the learner puts to practice his/her understanding and adapts to it. The learner does this by taking all the first three steps of the learning cycle and seeing the results (pg. 30). Learning is a process in which individuals learn through trial and error. This process can then be reused with our prior experience to strengthen the outcome of our first experience. It is shaped as a cycle in the way we process information cognitively. This is how I understood of the reading on Kolb s Experiential Learning Theory. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Wisdom illuminates the mind so that the mind may return to its natural inclination of reason unique to humans. However, the human mind is infatuated with what its body senses and therefore strays from its nature within. But with instruction the mind can bounce back into seeking the correct goal of perfect good. Wisdom is found through pursuing this good that is obtained through the discipline of philosophy. Furthermore, philosophy is for the exercise of the soul that is endowed with power to investigate with human reason. The difference between the two is dependent on the third power of the soul that Hugh of St. Victor interprets, for it is privileged to the human soul and it is what allows them to wonder. The first two powers are available to all living creatures. The first is nutritious to the existence of the body itself; allowing it to sprout from birth to adulthood. The second is the judgement that is perceived through the senses of the body. Hugh of St. Victor describes this element of the soul as a composite and conjoint power which subsumes the first and makes it part of itself (Didascalicon I. 3). Thus, the first two powers of the soul are inseparable within every living creature. On the other hand, the third power of the soul feeds upon the human mind to investigate and understand the way things are. This power of the mind allows human beings to not only explain what it sees, but also to question and interpret the existence of things. The third power of the soul is therefore one of two wisdoms within man. Granted the mind has the ability to pursue wisdom within itself it is important that there is a difference between the wisdom that is a tool to obtain an easier living standard, and the wisdom that belongs to the theory of that tool. Consequently, philosophy is the wisdom that theorizes and is therefore the pursuit of that wisdom. Philosophy can accordingly be applied to all actions of man to better the ... She notes that for francophone Quebeckers, Canada Day is nothing short of the ordinary since their lives do not revolve around being patriotic flag wavers (Maioni). This deep seated resentment remains over Confederation and what is seen as a less then perfect deal stuck in order to unite what Canadians know today to be Canada. With 2014 being historically significant in marking the 150th anniversary of both the Charlottetown and Quebec conferences, the gathering in Quebec has been largely omitted. Maioni argues that it is the Quebec conference that should merit some reflection since that is where the constitutional framework was established. Unlike in Charlottetown, which become a commemorative cottage industry as a result of central Canadians intervening on what was once supposed to be a Maritime union (Maioni). This paper will discuss how Quebec s relationship to Canada is framed in the media and how it affects regional experience as a result. Much like Canada, Quebec often ... The characters of Guido and Dora Orefice, from the Italian film Life is Beautiful have many differences in their personalities and backgrounds but are very similar in some important ways. They are both strong willed, independent, and have strong family values. Guido is a Jewish man, who is presumably poor because the beginning of the film deals with him attempting to find a job. He eventually finds one as a waiter, which suits his personality because he is the type of person that always wants to please others and make them happy. Despite the prejudice he receives for being Jewish he is a very happy and good humored person. Dora on the other hand, grew up in very different circumstances. Similar to taking off label medicines in football games, many people consider taking drugs in the workplace as an unethical action. In contrast, if the promotion is based on medicines usages, this will violate employees privacy. Besides the ethical issues, the management should also consider the strategy issues in order to make a wise personnel decision. The connection that I have chosen to concentrate on though is the idea of power, and how both texts explore this theme. William Shakespeare is an extremely famous English poet and playwright and widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language. He was most prominent in the years 1585 1592 writing 38 plays. Richard 3rd is considered to be one of his greatest plays and was written in 1591 depicting the ... Richard then gloats over his success in a soliloquy stating how he has won her heart even though he is regarded by her as the devil with dissembling looks and he stabbed Edward her love just 3 months earlier. Al Pacinos Looking for Richard is a failed movie attempt of Richard 3rd turned documentary produced, directed and acted in by the man himself. This same theme of power is evident throughout Al Pacino Looking for Richard as he wants to establish himself as the definitive American Shakespeare actor and achieve greatness. I say this because all throughout history American actors have been too afraid to act Shakespeare as it has traditionally been English done, but Pacino strives to prove this wrong. All throughout looking for Richard a documentary directed by and starring Al Pacino he is made to seem on another level to anybody else. This is highlighted by Fredrick Kimball, who is also directing the movie says with great passion You know more about Richard the 3rd than any other fucking scholar at Columbia or Harvard By Kimball saying this pacino is instantly placed on a higher level than ... An outline allows me to pace myself while I write, so that I will be able to properly organize any essays. Despite this weakness there are strengths that I have discovered in my writing. The strength is that I am able to develop the body of my essay effectively. Additionally, I discovered that the work I was doing both outside and in the course provided me with the opportunity to reinforce the skills I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A way in which I will work to improve this skill is by using online grammar worksheets to identify major areas that I struggle with. Additionally, before starting university I will buy handbooks that can explain grammar rules concisely. Furthermore, another set of skills that I hope to improve are my transition skills. I will improve this writing skill by reading essays with acceptable transitions and comparing them to my own essays, distinguishing the errors I committed when using transitions. When I write papers, the first step that I take is I decide on the topic that I will write about and then I will research it. I will research using scholarly articles, information that I may already know, numerous websites and books. Once I have gathered a sufficient amount of information, I will develop my thesis. Usually the first thesis I will develop changes as I begin outlining my essay, making sure not to give away too much information. Consequently, learning to utilize the information available to develop my thesis and being able to create a paper that is enjoyable and informative to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
