- 2. Process • Firstly when I created this experimental magazine for fishing I first got a relatable image to the product off Google images and made it the bass background for the magazine. I then decided to create a border for it and chose a colour which will stand out from the main image making it look more professional in my opinion. I then added more details to it such as the bar code and I made the price stand out as it is relatively cheap so that people will choose it over others. Next I added a bright red circle to mark the issue which stood out over the green colour. I also added the sub heading of ‘Top 25 places to fish in the UK’ in a bright red colour hoping that it will entice the customer.

Reflection • What elements of your experiments will you include in your final product? • In my experiment I used a range of marketing techniques to make my magazine better than others which I will be including in the final mock up of my product. This will include carefully picking some colours to stand out to the reader and making the key things like sub-headlines and the masthead have to be short and catchy so that it can be glanced over yet get key elements noticed. The main image is also important as it is generally the first thing you will notice on the cover of a magazine however I think that it shouldn’t have to much going on the cover as if it complex and has writing all over I think that people would not read it over others.
