Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. - 2. Process First Day of Production • I mostly just got the front cover image set up in Photoshop and made sure it looked professional, fixing any colour correction issues using the ‘Blending Options’ tool. I also added the masthead and edited it to be behind the model’s head after I finished designing it (as seen in other established, successful brands) again using the ‘Blending Options’ tool.
- 3. Process Second Day of Production • I got a large majority of work done on my front cover, mainly the colour design and some of the ‘sell lines’ and text formatting. I started to section off parts of my model’s face and colour them in with blues, reds or light purple, I also did the glasses in a yellow so as to distinguish them. I came up with my own sell lines and positioned them onto the cover, changing the font and size depending on how they look. I chose this particular colour palette because I’ve always liked blue and red lighting, I feel that it creates an interesting feeling; they also connote a feeling of division – which is an interesting highlight to put on a print based product.
- 4. Process Third Day of Production • I added the white box around my text, which enabled me to add more cover lines, sell lines and general text to the cover (Advertising). This day was mainly taken up by me adding ‘finishing touches’ to my cover and making sure it was done. The inclusion of the white boxes were a very useful addition, as they bring the image forward and allows for more space, advertising space, to be used, due to it’s easy to read appearance.
- 5. Process Fourth Day of Production • I started and finished my double page on this day. I started with editing the main image, it was easier this time as I now had a clear colour palette to go on, I made it mostly similar to my front cover image except I turned up the divide between blue and red, it being more equal this time. The layout, the lines and bold text, was something I carried over from my experiment double page spread and was something I knew would look good. I wrote all the text in about forty-minutes, which seems like a short time, but I’m proud of what’s written as I feel it is entertaining to read.
- 6. Process Fifth Day of Production • I finished both my front cover and my double page spread, with this day I just made sure all the ‘finishing touches’ were finished and I was happy with how they both look. I really like how my product looks, and I feel it is very close to being a professional looking magazine; I feel the white text boxes and images are the best additions that make it look professional.
